Hi All, I have a likert type question in my survey having 5 statements and 7 scale points for each statement. I wanted to apply a validation, where a respondee need to select at least one statement and at max 3 statement. I checked, and it is not possible via direct validations. Is it possible to write a javascript for the same? If yes, then how we can do it? 

Hello, I have a multiple choice question with 85 response options organized into ten groups. I’d like to collapse the groups so it’s easier for respondents to navigate the options (this is not a drill-down question). They would be able to expand a group, select any responses, then collapse it again. I’ve experimented with the accordion function in JS, but I don’t know JS well-enough to get it to work. Has anyone tried this and gotten it to work? Or is there another approach? Thanks in advance.

I have a “how familiar are you question” followed by a “which of these” question. The “which of these” question is only displayed if familiar = true. When familiar = false, I want the value for “which of these” to automatically be set to “none of these”. I need the “none of these” value set right away so subsequent logic will function properly. Any guidance?

I am new to Qualtrics so this likely has a simple solution however I am having trouble finding one that works. What I am looking to do is rather simple, present the user with their answer in a later text block. Hi, I have designed a research project which needs the participant to enter photos direct from their cameraphone as the answer to six of the questions in the survey. I have seen that this "image capture" type of question is possible on other platforms (harvest my data as an example) but not sure if qualtrics offers this function. Ideally, I do not want users to have to seek out a photo/file on their phone, but would like the user friendly - 'take a photo of x' 'are you happy with this/retake?' 'submit'Does anyone know if this is possible? Thanks

Hi, I have a slider type of slider question that i want to put discreet categories like the stars without changing the type to stars. I was wondering if there was any code i could use to do this. This is because the stars doesn’t allow headers so i was wondering if i can alter just the look to get around this.

I embedded a YouTube Video in Qualtrics and created four thought probe questions with IDs QID581,  QID809,  QID808, QID810 respectively in the same block.While participants are watching the video, I want  Qualtrics to pause it at random time points within specific time intervals and display the thought probe questions for 30 seconds, each within each time interval, and then resume the video automatically.I generated a Java Script using Chat-GPT, modified and pasted it in Qualtrics but I didn’t work. I contacted some students in a Java script course and they said Qualtrics might be using some functions and calls which I need to include in my code. I have no coding experience. Could anyone help? When I create a TextIQ topic for one question, how do I sync the topics to another question? I know there is an export/import option, however, that does not sync the topics together. For example, say I have a topic "apple" in Q1 and Q2. If I update the search criteria in Q1 to include "apple | gala", I want to also reflect this in Q2. Currently, if I export Q1 and import it to Q2, I will get a new topic named "apple_1". This also happens if there is a parent topic. For example: I have a parent topic of "fruit" and a child topic "banana" in Q1. In Q2, I have a parent topic of "fruit" and a child topic of "orange". If I import "orange" into Q1, I will get a new parent topic named "fruit_1" instead of putting "orange" into the existing "fruit" parent.

If they have, I want three things to happen:Participants get an alert telling them they did find all the buttons (works!) Hi,In the export responses, I receive each response value and label with the internal question id instead of the alterned export question id. When you manually export through the web interface, it provides the export ids for each question. The API on the other hand does not do this. The API only returns the internal question id. How do I get the mapping of the internal question id to the user defined export question id?  Thanks,Leslie

I’ve been searching for a way to show a calendar to respondents that only allows them to select a date within the previous 12 months of the current date. Anything past 12 months would not appear for them. If this isn’t possible, we could also have a custom prompt that closes the survey if they were to pick a date from say, 13 or 14 months ago (from current date).  I would greatly appreciate any help. Hi everyone!We are currently seeking a solution to disable links entered by participants in response fields (text entry questions) of our surveys. We have previously been advised to use custom validation, but this option is incompatible with another validation we have configured for the maximum character count. Specifically, we want the links entered by participants in text fields to not be clickable when viewing the data through tabular widgets on the dashboard.I really hope that someone can help me.  

Hello! I am creating a survey for round 3 of my Delphi design study. All the items will be the same as round 2 but I need to display the mean and range for each item in the matrix table. I believe there is a way to add them as columns in the table for easy reference by respondents but I cannot find that option in the menus. Any assistance would be appreciated! 

Hello,Is it possible to create a question with different headers for each survey item? Repeat header checkbox allows me to repeat them but they all need to be same (as shown in the picture below). Is it possible have different headers? Is a matrix question the wrong option? Can anyone please help out? Alternate suggestions to Matrix-type questions (if not possible) are also appreciated. I have a total of 12 statements, each with 5 options.

Hello all, as in my last discussion post, I am trying to make a video in Qualtrics that has not been loading properly. The video is coded such that it autoplays, is pinned to the top of the page (so that respondents don’t have to scroll down to view it), and can be responded to with the keyboard (e.g., pressing “J” to answer a question about the video). Although this code has worked, when the video loads, it glitches, like so (at the 2 and 7-second marks):This glitching looks a little different with each test, but regardless, it occurs consistently and on all browsers tested (Chrome, Safari, Firefox). Below is the most recently updated JavaScript and HTML code for the first video in the example attached. Since the last forum post, I have tried removing each code (keyboard responding, autoplaying, and pinning the video) one at a time in varying combinations to see if any one function is the problem, but the issue occurred in all combinations. I would really, really appreciate any help a
