This is sort of a follow up to a previous question I asked here.  I wanted to reformat a matrix question, and I was told this was possible through CSS and Javascript.  My previous study was coded in python and CSS, so I have been trying to implement the CSS portion over here on Qualtrics.  When I go to look and feel, and then custom CSS however, it seems to impact all matrix style questions.  Since I use matrix questions in multiple places, I only want the custom CSS to apply to one block of 10 questions.  This might be due to the fact that I am only passingly familiar with CSS, and not at all familiar with Javascript, but how do you specify which questions in Qualtrics, the custom CSS should apply to? I did find this thread as well, and it seems like the answer may be to apply CSS to one page at a time, but fo

Hello! I am new to Qualtrics and hoping to find a way to get a count of the number of characters on each page of my survey. I am going to use this to screen for bots by looking at the response time and estimated reading rate based on number of characters per page.  Thanks!  

Is it possible to add a progress bar for specific sections of a survey (e.g. progress bar for beginning of survey, progress bar for last part of survey separately) or does it have to be the entire experience?

Hi community! I'm setting up an email task for sharing eacht survey response results with a group of colleagues. Since I was not happy with the automated response report I made my own with piped text.Is there is a way to hide the questions that have not been answered or did not appear due to display logic?

Hi everyone,I’m using a responsive dialogue box to notify web users of and upcoming change to my company’s website. Does anyone know how to reduce the white space in between the logo and the survey? For context, the logo is programmed into the creative, not the survey’s look and feel.I’ve also used custom CSS to centre the ‘next’ button at the bottom of the page. If the solution to reduce the white space also requires custom CSS, will it interfere with the code to centre the button?  This is what i used: .Skin #Buttons {text-align: center;padding: 20px;margin-top: 50px;} Thank you!   

Hi everyone,I couldn’t find a way to automatically trigger an e-mail sendout or Teams notification that directly includes the most recent excel export of all responses thus far recorded.Background: Colleagues would like to create a form of request manager which immediately notifies them after each response and includes an updated excel file.It seems like such possibility is not included without any complicated workarounds… Does anybody have any idea or solution?  Thank you so much in advance!! Cheers,Jonas

I have a multiple choice question with four posible answers, for example: Question: Tell me… A answer B answer C ansewer D answer People can select none, one or more than one. What I want is to get the value if they checked the answer with JavaScript, for example the answer A in one embedded variable. If they select A and C answer, I want to save in two diiferent embbeded variables the response. Obviously if thet not checked any answer the result would be null. How can I do that? Thanks!   

iOS Swift - have Qualtrics.shared.initializeProject in didFinishLaunchingWithOptions and getting error.  I have the brandId and projectId in the call to initializeProject.  Not sure what I am missing.

I'm having a problem with the images in my survey showing up very small, even though the file size in the graphics library is large, and they appear large in the survey builder. But in preview they show up small.

I would like to create a functionality in my survey that will allow survey takers to upload their CV as a PDF and provide them a score (on the fly) based on that. The score would be calculated using the uploaded CV and ChatGPT. One complication is that the subscription I have does not include “File Upload” feature.  I tried to do a workflow that includes “File Request” using Dropbox, files being extracted from Google Drive, and ChatGPT plugin. Google Drive does not allow for “file request” the same way Dropbox does. While connecting Dropbox to Google Drive seems to be doable, extracting files from Google Drives is limited to csv/tsv/Google Sheets. I am also trying to think in terms of web service, but cannot come up with any feasible solution. Any thoughts?

Hello! I have 6 different blocks and every block consists of 7 different questions. I tried using the toddle function to show the definition of a word only after clicking on the button “show more”. The function worked very well with the first question, but it didn’t work anymore after adding more questions to the block.  What should I do? Can you please provide me with the code to create a “Definition of the category” button for each question? Thank you 

Hello dear community,Does somebody know how can I change the color of the answer choices? Qualtrics have this light gray color per default , which is difficult to see in some mobile devices, and t seems that it can’t be changed. I am not referring to the next button, submit button, or the color of the selected choice, but to the color per default of the choices when they are not selected.  Thanks for the help.  

I have a question82 that asked “whether you have a serious illness that will impacting your function?” with single answer choice of Yes or NO. Once Yes is selected, I wanted the “Yes” word  to be highlighted with RED color and Yellow background. Below CSS script I inserted into the Look and Feel -? Style section of CSS box. Test it but it is not firing up the action on Q82. Can someone help to let me know where did I  do wrong? Hi! In my survey I ask participants to rate several sounds on a scale using a slider. But I want that the slider (and in the best case also the next button) only appears after the sound has been played back for ~1.5 sec. I have a star rating question with 2 statements for people to rate. May I know how to show a label when a star is selected? I’ve pasted a JS code below but it doesn’t work. Wonder if this is because the JS code is for single statement and some adjustments need to be made to fit into a 2 statements question?Besides, I have 2 languages supported for the survey, “EN”, “ZH-T”. “ZH-S” which I want to show the labels in the respective languages too. I have been creating a cued-recall task. Hi all, thanks for reading and any help.I am currently programming a survey where I need a text entry question to autopopulate/auto answer with either a “0” or a “1” based off of an embedded data value, but if the embedded data value does not meet the specifications a participant should answer the question themselves. So for example, if the embedded data = blue, the text entry question should autopopulate and save with a “0” and not be asked of the participant. If the embedded data = red, the text entry question should autopopulate and save with a “1” and not be asked of the participant. If the embedded data = green, the participant should answer the question and click the next button themselves.Based on previous threads, I have mostly figured out how to do this with multiple choice questions, but I am not knowledgeable enough in coding to reconfigure for embedded data/text entry instead. Hope this makes sense and is possible! Hi Qualtrics community, I'm having trouble getting the 'getSelectedChoices' function to work on a side-by-side grid. Can anyone help me out? I'll try to give an example: A side-by-side with a single column, multiple-answer, and three rows. Think of it like this... "During what season(s) did you do the following?" Ride a bike Drive a motorcycle Fly a plane Then you have the four seasons as checkboxes: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter What I would like to do is use the getSelectedChoices function to see what choices were selected for any given row. Hi,I am trying to use the Select2 for a drilldown question and to add a search box for the first level of drilldown.Using the forum posts i was able to get this to work, however after adding the script and checking in preview i see the format for the first dropdown is different from the survey theme. The font and font size and the dropdown border look and feel is all different.Can someone let me know on how i can align or change this ?Thanks,Rakesh
