Hi,When running a crosstab, the total count never comes to the correct amount. It is always way under the total number of responses i.e. I’m working with one where I know there are 400 responses but it only displays 60. Therefore, all the averages etc are wrong. Is there something I’m not doing correctly?All advice greatly appreciated!

I am wondering if it is possible to have the ability to show a comparison based on a filter from another widget. Image 1 has my NPS gauge chart that has no filter. Image 2 is our percentage of visitors broken by age that I have selected to filter the page based on data point selected.What I am wondering is: Can I have Image 1 show the filtered results and the comparison underneath show the difference from the overall NPS? (Image 1) (Image 2) 

My organization collects personnel data at the institution level (i.e., Test School has Faculty Member A, who has Variables A-G) annually. We are migrating our existing survey to Qualtrics and would like to carry over previous data (e.g., a respondent has indicated Faculty Members A-Z and we don’t want to force them to re-enter them annually, but instead edit responses as needed). What is the best path forward for this? I’ve tried piped responses with embedded data, but it is not the visual result we are looking for. 

Hi.I’m currently making a survey for an experiment where participants are prompted to click on the Q key for Yes answers and P key for No answers. I figured out the code to do this, but is it possible to make the actual question and answer options portion invisible. That way the only thing they see is a white screen and they can just click to answer the question. Please let me know :)

I added a block that only contains 1 question. I want this block/question to only appear 50% of the time. How do I go about this? Typically I would go into block behavior and select question randomization, but where there is only 1 question in the block I am  at a loss as to how to go about it. I DO NOT want to add this to another block as I have my blocks on display logic based on embedded data and I want “all” (a random 50%) of my participants to see this, my participants only view blocks that are pertinent to them based off their embedded data values.

I have a series of questions that ask respondents to select how they taught a course before, during, and beyond a given time frame. They should only be able to select a single option under each of the three columns, but when I preview the survey I can select multiple options under each column (even with single answer selected under column options. Any ideas as to fix this issue?

Hello,  I have a side by side question that I am using with display logic. Depending on a heat map choice, the side by side will display on the next page (along with other questions). Even though I am getting no errors, it will not display on the next page. It displays my other questions but breaks page at the side by side question.  Any ideas?  Thanks! 

I have a survey that seems to have a fairly high “in progress” list of responses.  I’d like to automate an email to the “in progress” group reminding them to reenter the survey and complete their answers.  I don’t want the incomplete responses to be recorded until after they have been completed.  Does anyone know how to create a workflow for surveys that are “in progress”?Thank you

Hello, I currently have an email workflow set up for when a survey is completed. There are four people in the “To” line and one person in the “cc” line. Currently when a survey is complete, all 4 people receive a separate email, and the person that was cc’d receives 4 emails (one to each of the “To” recipients, cc’d on all 4). So my question is, is there a way for the emails to not be sent separately, but instead for all people in the “To” line to be on the same email? This would allow all of the “To” recipients to see who all received the email and would decrease the number of emails the person in the “cc” line is receiving. I am new to Qualtrics workflows, so I may be missing something and greatly appreciate any insight. 

I am AB testing an incentive in the form of offering a specific pdf version of a report that will be of interest to my survey respondents.To distribute the survey I split my sample into two groups, one with an invitation advertising the incentive and one without. Is there a way that I can immediately send the pdf upon survey completion only to the group that was incentivized?I know I can set the survey to immediately send this file with a thank you upon completion, but doing it that way would send the pdf to all those who complete the survey rather than just the one group. And, it appears as though a thank you attached to the incentivized group’s distribution can only be scheduled for a set time rather than sent to those in that group/distribution upon completion. Principles of psychology; I want these people to get the pdf report immediately.Any ideas??I am loathe to attempt to use some of the non-supported past functionality like email triggers as the documentation on these is full o

Hello all,I have a game that is embedded within an iframe for my qualtrics survey. The game sends messages through the iframe using this type script function.postEvent(type: string, data: any = {}): void { console.log('post event: ' + type, data); window.parent.postMessage({ type: type, ...data }, '*');}The problem is this function only works for some messages reliably but not others. For instance I have a message that sends for every time a player throws a ball in my game, but when there is a unusual event such as letting a player leave after a set time, this message proves to be unreliable. It will sometimes work, and sometimes not work. It is sometimes accurate and sometimes way off on the set number of time. The messages work flawlessly when i use the game not embedded into an iframe, as in, the messages will always appear on time and accurately.  There are even some other bugs that are only introduced when the game is inside qualtrics. these messages are ess

Hi - I have a survey response action that triggers an email when a new survey response comes in. I am trying to figure out a way to have this send a collection of new responses at a regular interval, rather than every time a new response comes in. So, for instance, this could be a daily summary of new responses. Essentially, it would be a mix of an event-based and scheduled action. I've looked into workarounds, like sending a weekly report, but I can't find a solution. Is there any way to do this - send a daily email with new survey responses only?Thanks!

Hello,I have a survey with multiple blocks, each of which I am building a scorecard to provide a score for the block.I also want to score the entire survey, what I did was create scoring categories for each block, then an Overall score that encompasses all blocks, with some weighting included in the score. The issue is all users are not required to answer all blocks, so if I try to take an average score in my report, the blocks are accurate, but the overall score isn’t getting the full picture (someone may only answer one block so the total points are very low for the overall survey). Any suggestions on how to develop the overall score as a combination of the block scores, weighted appropriately?

Hello,I am creating a SmartIQS chatroom, and I want to pair female participants with male participants.  I am also assigning them 2 different conversation prompts: cat vs. dog. How could I match female participants with cat prompts to male participants with cat prompts and match female participants with dog prompts to male participants with dog prompts? I have created a survey flow, but not sure if it will work. Can anyone help me with it?

Hi everyone, I was working on Retake survey methodology and getting challenge to piping the text from Question that has already been submitted –1. I have 5 blocks in my survey, where 3 blocks will be asked on the basis of branch logic“if Q_URL does not contains Q_R”2. Block “PM follow up” will be asked after 14 days through workflow with retake link on the basis of branch logic “if Q_URL contains Q_R”3. Last block will be shown to both (original link/retake link)Challenge: I need to pipe the selected text in a Question from original survey (which has already been submitted and not shown in retake link) into my retake link block (PM _Follow up block)Please suggest how can I do this.

Hello, Qualtrics Community: We have created a survey to judge teams in a competition, and I would like some guidance from other Qualtrics users as to how they would go about doing the following: Calculate the average of each "category" (5 total multiple-choice questions) for all 3 judges for a specific team. Calculate the overall score of each team where each "category" is equal weight (regardless of questions).Can this be done within Qualtrics, or would it be advised to export the survey data and perform the calculations in Excel?

Hi All, I’m trying to create a crosstab but it flags a “Not supported” error. The cross tab consists of a question column with three items (A, B and C for now) and Rows which is a question where users selected items that were not important to very important for them. I’m trying to create a crosstab with a matrix question and when I drag the question into the row, it displays all the items in that question in the crosstab but I get the error. However, if I drag each individual question element into the row separately, then it works. The problem with this approach is that it’s going to take quite a while to get the whole data.  Is there a way I can display the entire crosstab for the question? Thanks in advance!  

I like to think I'm pretty facile with Qualtrics, but I've never been able to set a quota group and feel comfortable about it. I'm programming more and more studies that award incentives to completes and I get nervous each and every time that I'm going to mess up quotas resulting in over-run of incentives. Or I'm unsure if I'm unnecessarily running respondents through a survey in which they will eventually be flagged as overquota.I'd appreciate some guidance if there is a better way to set my quotas so that when I, say, want 400 total responses with 200 residing in one state and the other 200 residing in any other state. My state variable is based on an embedded variable from the original contact list.So I generally set a General Quota at 400. Quota is set to increment when the text description on very final question is displayed. Once quota is hit, I've set rule so that it Prevents All New Survey Sessions.Then I set two additional quotas for in-state and out-of-state.For in-state

Can anyone recommend the best way (please) to collect feedback (text entry) for a large number of people (~40) listed in a dropdown menu? We are collecting positive feedback from our residents about the faculty they interact with and hope to give them an opportunity to select faculty they work with - one by one and submit a text response. The aim is to allow them to do this for as many of the people listed in a dropdown menu as possible. i.e .if they have something to say about 20 of the 40 people listed, or 39 of the 40 people listed. The survey will go out to 60 trainees and we hope to create the easiest way for them to provide a nice statement about as many participants as they are willing to comment on. We don’t need to record who is saying what. We are just concerned with getting the highest number of comments possible for each faculty member. Thank you in advance - i am very new to Qualtrics. JF

Hi all - When exporting a single respondent’s answers to PDF on the Data & Analysis screen, it also exports a map with Geo IP information.Is there a way to NOT display that Geo information? I cannot anonymize the survey, because we need to keep contact information associated with the case.

I would like the tooltip to display both response % (of total responses) and response # (count) when someone hovers over a horizontal bar chart. Currently, my bar charts are set to show only %, and I don’t see how to update them in the Edit screen.
