Is there a way to renumber the Internal Question ID just like you can with the export label? I made a long survey only to find in the end that the hidden Internal ID is completely different than the visible Question ID. This is confusing because I have Custom CSS targeting the Internal ID. I understand that we can't touch the Internal ID, but maybe there is a workaound by e.g. copying the survey and rearranging the questions, or by saving the questions in the library and then add them to a new survey in the right sequence?

Is there a way to set up documentation to display in proper format as with indents and new paragraphs within a Question Type- Text Entry with Text Type-Multiple lines or Essay text box?

I am conducting an experiment in which participants are presented with moral scenarios. There are 5 distinct conditions, each with 15 different versions. For each participant, I aim to randomly display a total of 50 scenarios, ensuring that 10 scenarios are selected from each condition. Are we able to change the title of an existing survey or will this affect other settings? 

Hello!I create a survey in Qualtrics, which I disseminated through Prolific in the UK. My target was 600, which has now been hit in Prolific. However, only 570 data points are showing in Qualtrics and there are no “responses in progress” in the database. There are also datapoints that are not complete (and were screened out by prolific), which are showing in 570 number, so the actual number of missing data points is greater than 30.I do not believe this is an issue with Prolific because the url redirected to Qualtrics. They’ve also shared their “why data may not be displaying in your external vendor” and the reasons do not match. For example, time delays could be an issue. However, 599 responses were completed last night, with one this morning. This morning’s response was registered in Qualtrics.Has anyone had this issue and could offer a solution? I’ve contacted customer support in Qualtrics but they’re claiming its Prolific’s issue because they can’t find an “anomaly”, even though I

Does anyone know whether it’s possible to build a workflow that can extract a file uploaded as part of a survey response and export that file to a online shared drive, such as a OneDrive or Google Drive folder? I know I can write out survey data (including the links to the uploaded files) to an Excel or Google sheet, but the goal would be to have the actual submitted files automatically saved in a shared drive that multiple people in my institution could access. Any ideas? Thank you!

Hi Team Guru! I struggle to believe, that Qualtrics cannot support horizontal 1-10 multiple choice questions with label options within mobile devices. Hopefully I have just not looked the right place ... Basically I want to have as shown in the attached screenshot: ! My problem is, that Multiple Choice options gets vertical when using from mobile. NPS has the EXACT layout I need, but it does not allow me to edit the options (I need 1-10 and 11th option is "Don't know".) Matrix is not an option as it creates space and movies the option far right. So the 1000 dollar question is, how can I get this multiple choice horizontally on both desktop and mobile just like the NPS? 😃 Do I need to do some coding? If so, any suggestion? NPS question from 0 to 10 leabelled as 1 to 10 and NA. but when i hit back button my answers go 1 step back like 10 becomes 9 and 9 as 8 and so on. Hi! I’ve been going insane trying to figure out what’s going wrong here. The goal of this is to use Javascript in order to generate embedded data that gets used later in the survey. However, it doesn’t seem to be working. I can’t figure out what else is failing here, and I assume I’m messing up somewhere with setJSEmbeddedData.the `control` embedded data value works fine - but where’s the `test` embedded data we set? Thank you so much if you try to help. Hello, I’m new to JS. I have been trying this for a long time but had no luck. Any advice would be very welcome.I have a question in a survey asking for employment income. Respondents need to select the way they want to report their salary then enter a numeric value:I wanted to calculate annual salary based on response to monthly/bi-weekly/hourly rates and show the calculated annual salary to respondents on the next page and confirm it’s the right amount. If it’s not correct, respondents will be able to go back and correct their answer. My JS on the salary question is like this:And my survey flow is like this:On the verification page, the calculated field doesn’t show up, and there is no error message either. When updating a survey data, the ticket is not updated. Example:Yes, “Region 1” was selected in the survey. The ticket shows “Region 1”. But if I update the data from the survey and select “Region 2”. The ticket will continue to show “Region 1”. The correct thing would be for the ticket to also be updated. This creates a variation in the data obtained in the dashboard when comparing the page with data from the survey and in the ticket report.

1st q. is a multiple answer multiple choice (so - e.g. - if you check ‘4’ boxes, the value will be 4), 2nd q. is a constant sum (e.g. total is 4). can you do a process to check if the no. of checked boxes in 1st equals the sum value of the 2nd?if possible, would such a thing be best done using different q. types?

Hi - I am trying to create a survey, part of which contains a with a loop back function - loop to an either or question - and the loop is supposed to loop back ten times OR a lower number from a prior question answer. The number of loop backs is to be generated from a slider question - to be a max of ten times - and the subsequent questions are a group of this (block) or that (other block), get to end, loop back and repeat. A question determines if you go this or that. Final question to be done after the last loop. I can’t get ‘loop and merge’ to work, and I can’t get ‘logic’ to work. Are there any templates on-line or any advice?

Can you restrict multiple entries using anonymous survey link? Looking to use anonymous survey link to have users complete survey, any ideas on how to do this while still restricting users to submit more than one response. Can I set up any restrictions related to their specific answers? For example, if I ask for their email, can I restrict their submission if they have already used that email to submit a previous survey?

Hello all - I have a survey that needs a report generated which can display percentages of a total - so, our respondents answer how many students are in a space, the number active, the number active on a playground feature, and the number sedentary. Sometimes clients notice that many questions were not displayed to the respondent. Why is that? Is the survey malfunctioning? Did they skipped it to the end?Probably not. Question type: text entry I want to ask respondents to type in their age, but also give them a “Prefer not to answer” button. Is there any way to do this besides a side-by-side?

Hi, I have a matrix in which I have as statements (rows) five actions (i.e., “Avoid the product”, “Replace the product”, “Bought less”, “Did not buy today”, “Not considered”) and three food categories as scale points (i.e., “fruit & veggie”, “meat”, “diary” in columns).  In the following questions, I want to carry forward as scale points only the food categories for which participants selected one of the first three statements (I.e, avoid, replace or bought less). If for example a participants selected “I avoided the product” for “meat”, I want “meat” to be carried forward. If a participants selected “I did not buy that product today” for “dairy”, I do NOT want to carry forward “dairy” for the next questions.Is there a way to tell the system not to carry forward a scale point if the last two statements (i.e., not bought today and not considered) were selected? Thank you very much for your help!Giulia

I have a JavaScript code in my header that switches between normal mode and custom dark mode using an embedded variable from the backend. The code works perfectly when I place the JS in the header and the CSS in the custom CSS section.However, when I try to add the same JS and CSS code in the Theme tab with a template, it doesn’t work as expected. I'm unsure what the issue is, but it seems that the embedded data isn't being properly incorporated into the addOnLoad code that I added. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello,I've been browsing the support pages on calculating totals and scores, but I haven't found any information on how to calculate simple averages, both across all participants and for individual participants, in a survey. I know I can do this in Excel using the AVERAGE formula, but I'd like to know if Qualtrics can calculate these averages for me so that they're already included when I export the file to Excel.Does anyone know how to do this?
