How to enable automatic scrolling to the end when going back to an unanswered question?

Hi all! I am using the automatic scrolling once the respondent selects an option for a multiple choice question. However, when the person leaves an unanswered question and goes back afterwards to only reply this one, the page does not scroll automatically back to the end. Is there a way to solve this problem?

Once a user/survey is connected to a Salesforce Org, how can you change that org?

I have a survey setup to connect to one of our Salesforce Orgs via a response mapping. When I set this up, I was asked to sign into Salesforce. Now, it doesn't appear that I can change the org the survey is connected to. When I create a new survey and go into response mapping, it's connecting me to the same SF org automatically. However I need this other survey to connect to a different Salesforce org. Do you know how I can accomplish this?

Test-Re-Test Survey

Hi, i'm trying to set up a qualtrics to test and re-test the validity of a questionnaire. My problems are: 1. I want the survey to be anonymous. 2. Be -emailed to the participant 2 weeks later automatically. 3. The first survey to be linked to the second - for analysis. Is all this possible? Thanks Gareth 3rd Year Medical Student

Updating CSAT rating scale from 11 pt to 5 pt -- Do or not do / How to handle

I have been running a customer survey program for 3.5 years (read, lots of historical trending data!) where we have done everything on an 11 pt scale with 3 points labeled, to correspond with our all important NPS survey :) (We have reported average score out of 10 for non NPS questions.) Now I am interested in updating to a 5 pt labeled scale for all transactional surveys to be easier on the customer taking our surveys, + strive for more valid results. Has anyone done this? I am very interested in any of the following: 1. Info on how it went -- did you have any unexpected issues making the update; would you do it again? 2. How did you handle reporting out the results given it was out of line with the historical reporting? top box and switch to reporting % of satisfied customers? Did you attempt to normalize results for any period or just do a hard switch and have an asterisked note? 3. If anyone has lots of wisdom on this and would be willing to have a 15 minute phone chat or ema

Math Operations (IF THAN, AND, OR)

I read on the Qualtrics Support site that the math operations that can be used in Qualtrics are +, -, *, /, parentheses, exponents, square roots, absolute value and rounding. Thus this mean that we can’t calculate algorithms in which the functions IF…THAN, AND and OR have to be used?

Seeking Input On How to Size Custom HTML Creative To Fit Nicely On Webpage

Hello! I am working on a project to collect feedback on a website and am looking for some advice on how to get a Custom HTML creative to fit nicely on the page and to dynamically resize based on the survey content. A similar use-case to what I am trying to achieve is the 'Was this helpful?' survey which can be found on Qualtrics support pages (see screenshot below). Basically, I am trying to first show a very short question which is embedded on a webpage and if the user answers the survey question, then a second question is shown where a comment box is available for the user to add a comment. ! The issue I am running into is that when the creative is displayed on a webpage (I am using a bookmarklet to do this), there is a scrollbar at the side of the content and a ton of extra space between the survey question and the 'Powered by Qualtrics' text (see second screenshot below). ! What I'm wondering is, how can I best size the Custom HTML creative in my Website/App Feedback project

Using Branch Logic with Time Auto Advance

Greetings! I am attempting to work with Branch Logic to autoadvance to a different path if the participant stalls on a question and does not select an answer after so many seconds. I have read through some forums and gathered that I'd likely need to work this into embedded data, but this is my first time doing so. Where should I start to begin building this?

Link imported responses to contacts in the contact list

We have a manual imported contacts list with ExtRef compiled and we import responses where we can pass the same value in the embedded data. Is there any way to correlate responses and contacts in the list via a matching ExtRef?

How to create a counter of number of survey completions

I set up a three week daily diary study but I'm trying to figure out how to track participant progress throughout the study. I was thinking of creating a variable to count the number of completions, but does anyone have any ideas on how to best track participants? Essentially, I want to know if participants are completing the surveys and which day of the study they are on. For example, I would like to know if a participant completes only 3 out of 7 daily diaries.

Develop mean for 4 grouped questions

I have a faculty member who has a survey where she has been exporting her data to figure the mean of the responses of 4 questions. Basically a mean of means for these 4 q's. I feel like this should be possible within Qualtrics or StatsIQ, but after digging around for quite a bit, can't figure it out. Can someone give me some direction? She's been using Excel to do this after exporting the data, but it'd be great if she could just create this within a custom Report or a StatsIQ report. Thank you!

Randomizing graphics in a survey

Hello, Perhaps this is a very simple question, but I can't figure out how to do it with the survey I'm working on for my master's thesis. In the survey, participants can select a color and a brand they like from a dropdown list. After this selection, I would like to randomly display 10 out of the 30 graphics that I uploaded into my library, with only one corresponding to the answers they selected. For instance, when chosen the color 'red' and brand 'Coca Cola', the next screen should randomly display 10 of the 30 images, with one of those being the picture for 'Coca Cola + red'. I've tried using display logic per image, but then only the corresponding picture is displayed without the other 9 random images. Anybody that could help me out with this?

Salesforce Email Trigger

I'm attempting to have a setup where when a case is closed in Salesforce, it triggers an email to the Delta Contact with a link to take a short survey. I've been trying to set this up from the Actions menu. I followed all the steps from the website on setting this up and it still doesn't work properly. We would like the link to expire after 1 day. However after testing, I've been able to access the link after 1 day anyways. I reached out to ask why and they said because the link being sent is anonymous and those aren't designed to expire at all which doesn't help me. How am I supposed to set this up so the link isn't anonymous? The screenshot they keep referring me to is the Distribution list to show me a message that says "Distributions with anonymous links do not support reminder and thank you messages" which also means it won't expire. How do I get this set up properly?

How to change the text "recipient external data reference"

Hi All, I think I post this Q in the right category. I imported a list of contacts to Qualtrics. The "recipient external data reference" column in this list is actually a PIN number that every contact in the list is already assigned. Upon opening the survey they are required to login using the PIN number as per screenshot below. However, I cannot find a way to change the text from "recipient external data reference" to something like "Please type your PIN number to login". Any idea/advice? !

Merging output of question responses in different conditions/blocks

Hi All, I'm developing a survey study with multiple conditions. I have 6 blocks for each of the different conditions, and I apply a randomizer in the survey flow to randomly assign a condition to each participant, and capture the assigned condition using an embedded data field. However, when I export the data, each question in each block is assigned a separate column. Is there any way that I can merge questions across blocks so they output in the same column? I have labeled each question in the same way across each block (see below example, current output, and desired output). I could do post export processing, but I wanted to check that there was not an easy way to achieve this result without post export processing. Example survey layout: Block 1 Q1 Q2 Q3 Block 2 Q1 Q2 Q3 Block 3 Q1 Q2 Q3 Current Output Q1,Q2,Q3,Q1,Q2,Q3,Q1,Q2,Q3 1, 0, 1 -----------0, 1, 0 --------------------1, 1, 1 Desired output: Q1,Q2,Q3 1, 0, 1 0, 1, 0 1, 1, 1

Repeated Assignment to Groups

I am doing a longitudinal-experimental study in which students will be randomly assigned to a control of comparison group. Depending on the group, I would generate certain blocks of questions. That's the easy part. The issue is that I want the participants who were formerly assigned to either the control or experimental group to maintain those groupings when they respond to subsequent surveys. It is essentially one survey that will be repeated over time to track student development, but I want the survey to "remember" which students were assigned to which groups every other time that they complete the survey. Can an email embedded question translate based on the email contact language?

I have a couple challenges. I trigger email surveys from a Salesforce Integration and would like to ensure the survey is presented in the language of the recipient. Today it is English only and I'm trying to avoid having to create separate surveys for each language. To complicate matters, the initial survey question is embedded in the email sent to the recipient. I don't mind have different Salesforce triggers for each langauge but not sure if there is away to accomplish this. Suggestions?

Is there a way to move contact lists from one user into a group folder in bulk?

I'm trying to manage users that have left the company, and one of the most time consuming tasks is making sure all of the content they created, uploaded, etc., is made available in a group folder where other team members can "pick up the flag", as it were. The problem, in particular with contact lists, is that you have to move each one to the group folder one at a time. So if I have a user that has 40 lists, it can take quite awhile to move all of them over. I'm wondering if there are (1) bulk move options available, (2) an method for transferring all content owned by one user to another user without having to transfer all of their projects, files, messages, contacts one by one, and/or (3) a way to set it up so that all content created by users is added to the group folder by default so we don't have to depend on individual users to remember to do that themselves. Until this type of functionality is in place, admin tasks can become a bit of a nightmare... Please help if you can.

Skip Logic not shown properly in the exported Word file

I have a survey with a skip logic set up: If 'strongly agree" to a question is NOT selected, go to the end of the block. However, in the exported Word file, the same skip logic is displayed as "Skip To: End of Block If != I generally prefer to use a diagram rather than a written set of instructions." It does not show the value for the skip logic (i.e., If 2.3 != 7, 7 is for "strongly agree"), and the question after "=" is not even the question I set up the skip logic for. I checked in survey preview, and the skip logic works as I intended, but it is bizarre that it showed up this way in the exported Word file. It is even stranger that a very similar skip logic showed up properly in the exported Word file. I just want to make sure I am doing everything correct, and it is normal for skip logic not showing up in the right in the Word export.

How to filter responses by which questions the participant was shown?

I am running a rather complex user study on Qualtrics. I currently have six surveys, and participants are randomly routed to one of the six by clicking the master survey link. This randomly sends them to one of the surveys. Each one has around 100 questions, of which 5 are randomly selected. The issue is with data collection. Exporting the responses shows ALL of the questions (over 600), and I then have to sort through manually to see which ones the participant answered. How can I filter responses and only view which questions the participant saw and answered?

Hi All I have 2 blocks as follows: -block 1: 3 different commercials -block 2: 3 different questions I would like to preview block 2 (all of the 3 questions) following each commercial in block 1. In addition, it is important for me that the commercial will appear in randomized order. Display logic within loop and merge

I am writing a survey that asks participants to choose their favorite person from a list of options at 10 specific places, with the option to choose N/A if they cannot decide one one person. I then pipe the answers into a field of another loop and merge with the same 10 places in the other field. In this loop and merge, I ask questions to probe the reasoning behind the participant's choice. If the participant chooses N/A, I don't want the questions (or current loop) to appear. Is there a way to have a display logic for each loop; i.e. if the participant answers N/A, don't display the current loop.

Exported PDF Responses not showing words, just blank

Hello all from the Philippines, My name is Erika Garcia and I have recently just completed collecting all of my responses for my study using Qualtrics. However, whenever I try to view the responses via PDF or through the platform, it's just blank (no text) except for photos included in my survey. Why is this happening? I have also emailed technical support about this. I am using a MacBook Pro and the Safari and Google Chrome Browsers and I am using the Qualtrics Survey Platform under Southern New Hampshire University. Below is the link to the affected survey, however, I would like to ask you NOT TO COMPLETE the survey as I am STRICTLY PROHIBITED from using people outside of Southern New Hampshire University as participants. Site Intercept not deploying on mobile

Hi, I'm having some issues with the site intercept that is currently not deploying on my mobile phone even though it's working perfectly fine on my web browser. Both browsers are Google Chrome. I've also enabled pop ups and clear my cookies. Anyone having the same issue?
