How can I upload old candidate data (from another platform) to be able to run a comparative 360 report with new Qualtrics data on the same candidates?

Qualtrics TLS Upgrades

The docs here: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/getting-started/browser-cookies/#TLS state that the TRACK_TLS1_0 cookie can be used to track the clients and from one of our error notifications, we observe that this cookie is set to false. "set-cookie":["TRACK_TLS1_0=FALSE; path=/"], Does this mean that we are in tact to this TLS1.2 version and need not worry about 426 response code or do we still need to configure our client to TLS 1.2 version, please kindly calrify.

Vocalize dashboard wrap labels

Hi All, First post here and I'm rather new to Qualtrics too but already wanting to push the boundaries, (or at least get closer to what excel does!). The charts / widgets in Vocalize / dashboards tend to hide labels when they are too long. There is no legend that could be used to get round that and there is no feature to wrap the labels it seems. I thought I'd be able to edit the labels and inject / force a character return but these characters seem to be ignored. I've tried HTML < Br > and various ASCII characters but they are just ignored by the widget. Please could someone help advise / confirm they've had the same problem? Thanks in advance Rod Pestell

Cannot upload offline app responses- SOS

Hello everyone, I have a rather desperate question. I am currently in Bolivia, conducting a study here and since yesterday the responses CANNOT BE UPLOADED. Troubleshooting proposed it may be because I need to update the app. However, given I am logged in with a single login account provided by my university user status, I am terribly afraid that in the process my data since the last upload may get lost. Email Action or Trigger emails multiple addresses, all visible to one another?

! We have email actions/triggers that email multiple addresses, as shown in the screenshot. Each recipient receives an email, with only their address in the "to" field. They want to see all the recipient addresses in the "to" field, so they can use reply-all. I have been unable to find a way to do this in the Qualtrics documenation. Is this possible? thanks,

Is it possible to parse through a list of strings in a textbox answer?

Can qualtrics find ALL strings within a predefined list in a textbook answer? My understanding is that the "contains" function will stop searching once it finds the first string within the predefined list. However, I was wondering if it is possible for the platform to search for all elements within a list, instead of stopping at the first one. I am trying to build a question in my survey that 1) will only be displayed if certain keywords are contained within a prior textbox response, and 2) will include one of these selected keywords piped-into the text of the question. The main concern is that I do not want the survey to always pipe-in the same keyword across all participants. As a result, I want to understand if it is possible to use qualtrics to parse through and find all relevant strings in a textbox, pending on whether any of the selected strings are present it would display the next question, and it would randomly select one string from this predefined list to pipe it into the

Date Validation on Side-to-side

Hi all! I'm currently using a side-by-side question to get input for dates and duration of activities. Is there an efficient way to validate one column for numbers only, and two columns for dates, where the second date column is later than the first. I've managed to achieve this on one line using multiple regex validations, but would like to not have to repeat that 20 times. !

How can I show ResponseID at the end of the survey?

Hello to everyone! I did already research on the community, but I have some specific questions about ResponseID. I would like to provide an unique code, no matter if is alphanumeric or just numeric, to my participants of my survey. I was thinking that the random number, that I can provide with Qualtrics, is not my solution, because I can not guarantee that will be unique. The best solution I think is the ResponseID, but, I have some doubts. These are my questions: 1) There is a way to show ResponseID at the end of the survey to my participants? Like with "embedded data"? 2) Is ResponseID unique for every participant? 3) This ResponseID will be the same of the ResponseID that I get on the data output of the answers of all my participants? Or it will change? 4) There are privacy issues to show, by email, all the responseIDs, to all my participants? Thank you in advance and sorry for the many questions just in one discussion.

Javascript troubles

Hi all - I've searched high and low on the internet, and can't find much. What I have found hasn't worked. Hoping that someone here can guide me! We're using an online video platform/LMS to host a Qualtrics survey in a module. That survey is referenced in a 'course' on the LMS through a link. The LMS company is telling us that we need to add some lines of JS to the 'form'/survey to get it to size properly and mark the course complete (so that it is a seamless experience). Basically, the survey will appear in an iFrame on the video platform. The three lines of code that we need to add are... Load the JS library: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://companyname.com/tc/api/coname-custom-api.js"></script> Set the iFrame size: coname.setSize(980,523); Mark the course complete: coname.setComplete(); From what I've read, loading should occur in the header (i.e., Look and Feel > Advanced > etc.). Why doesn't the Embedded data field populate in the crosstab tool as a banner?

For some reason all i can find is that the Crosstab page shows 'Biz type' as a banner choice. The original Contact List and csv file I uploaded has it written 'Business type'. Why did it change and how can i fix it to make sure it populates as a banner?

Custom CSS caused by answer choice background to disappear

Hi Everyone, I am using the new look and feel editor with a blank theme. I set an image as my background using the background tab (no code involved). I then used some custom CSS provided in a previous thread to put a white background on each question. The issue I am having is that the whitebackground has made the faded grey boxes disappear from answer choices (See screenshot below). Can someone please help me modify the CSS so I can choose a background color for how these boxes look before they are selected. Here is the current CSS I am using ``.Skin #SkinContent { margin: 35px; background-color: white; }`` !

Layout of results

Hi! I am conducting a survey, where respondents are presented with random image pairs. My problem arises when I export my data, since I can only see, which picture the respondent chose by finding the URL and matching this with the picture. But I'd like the output to show how many times the picture has been chosen. Can this be done somehow?

How to get the sum of a numeric question.

I'm trying to collect information on the number of people under a certain income limit. This limit is based on the number of persons in a family. If a family income is under this limit I want the response to count for each person in the family (ie if a 5 person family is under the limit I want it to count 5 people under the limit). Ultimately I need the percentage of people (not families) that are under this limit. I am currently using an embedded data field to calculate the number of people under the limit (family size*a binary variable of above or below the limit). But I cannot figure out a way to use the analysis crosstabs or reports to get the percentage of people that fall under the limit. Ideally this analysis would be done inside qualtrics without the need for exporting. Any help with the matter would be appreciated.

Can embedded data be survey specific

I'm using Salesforce Integration. When passing the Survey Recipient I can include Salesforce Data. What I am doing is passing the ID of the Opportunity that initiated the Survey. This appears to be stored on the Contact record in Qualtrics. If I send multiple invites to Unique Surveys triggered from different Opportunities is the embedded data Specific to the Survey or Specific to the Contact. e,g, HatSurvey is triggered from ProductHatOpportunity to Leslie Jones and passes the OpportunityID xxxxxxxxID, on completion xxxxxxxxID is updated to Survey Complete. CheeseEaterSurvey is triggered from ProductCheeseOpportunity to Leslie Jones and passes the OpportunityID yyyyyyyyID. on completion yyyyyyyyID is updated to Survey Complete. Is the triggering OpportunityID xxxxxxxxID overwritten by yyyyyyyyID when the second survey triggered or is the embedded data survey specific?

Using embedded data to expose questions?

Can I have one survey that has questions exposed based on embedded data: e.g. Profile Section - always visible Strategy Section - only visible if Survey1 field in embedded data is TRUE Leadership Section - only visible if Survey2 field in embedded data is TRUE Branding Section - only visible if Survey3 field in embedded is TRUE Therefore a respondent with 1.2.3 set as TRUE would get the whole survey A respondent with 1 set as True would only get the Profile and Strategy Questions A respondent with 2,3 set as True would get Profile and Leadership and Branding Questions. Or do I need to call separate surveys?

Where can I find a complete, organized list of Qualtrics CSS class names?

Does Qualtrics actually have something that we can reference? This seems like a very basic and necessary support option that they should be providing clients yet I can't find this info anywhere.

How can I identify incomplete response in a survey?

Hi everyone. Can the survey identify incomplete responses? For an example, when the respondent reached the end of the survey, they will be notified or prompted that there are incomplete responses. I currently have a Table of Contents built into the survey. Thank you.

CSS Format

I'm trying to use a custom image for the background of my survey. However, any code that I paste into the 'Custom CSS' editor on the Look and Feel tab doesn't seem to be registering. When I save the changes to the cSS editor - it simply leaves my survey preview as it originially looked. I don't appear to be running into the same difficulty when I add java-script to individual questions, or to the header and footer sections. Is there a particular prefix that I need to begin my code with on the CSS editor for it to be read by the system?

Page breaks within matrix table?

I have a matrix table with about 100 qs (randomised order), all requiring a response on a Likert scale. Is it possible to put in page breaks for a certain number of questions per page? The qs per page option doesn't come up when I click on "Set Up Advanced Randomization". Alternatively, is there a quick way to convert this table format to individual questions? Thanks

Export Data

Hello, I gathered all my data for my between-subject experimental design, but after exporting my data from Qualtrics to SPSS, I cannot see which respondent saw which advertisement. I showed 6 different advertisements, and I need to know who saw which advertisement to be able to do my analysis. When I open the data & analysis tab in Qualtrics and when I view responses, I am able to track which advertisement the respondent saw, but I believe there should be an option to get this information automatically in SPSS instead of tracking this individually for 300 respondents. I hope there is someone who could help me out!

How can I add colour to my constant sum question to better distinguish rows?

Hi, I hope someone can help. My constant sum question has 27 rows. I can't break up it because I need sum of all for validation. Is there a way to add colour or bold or similar to alternating rows to help respondents read clearly and avoid entering data in the wrong row? I see how to do that with rich text format for each indicator, but not for the answer box. I don't know java script or html unfortunately. Any and all suggestions welcome - thanks

Survey Submission Button?

I have several blocks of questions, as shown in the first screenshot. My final block is a termination block. The block before the termination block I have a form where respondents can put in contact information, as shown in the second screenshot. I have three questions: (1) how do I put a "submit" button at the end of the the respondent form? I tried putting the question in its own block and changing the "next button" text to say "submit", this did not work. (2) Can I still put a termination Message after the respondents submit the form? (3) Will the respondents form entry data be saved? Any help would be appreciated, thank you! ! ! !
