We exported data and included randomization order. We want to view first position data and compare it to the other positions. is there a way to use the exported field that gives the positions to view the data WITHIN QUALTRICS?

There was no display logic or other filtering in the survey that would've prevented them from seeing the question - and in fact, when I looked at the survey response manually (Data & Analysis > Actions > View Response) instead of exporting the data to a file, I could see that their selections did in fact come through. Hi all! Is there a way to remove the zeros from the user's view of a matrix table? I have a large(ish) constant sum matrix table as I'm collecting workforce demographic data and a whole load of zeros looks quite overwhelming on the screen. Hi everyone, I am wanting to send a reminder email to a large data-set to a survey previously distributed. When i sent the surveys out originally i received from emails in response and want to remove certain people who haven't completed the survey from the list. Is there a way i can export the contact list, edit the people in the list (e.g. move certain contacts) and then re-import them with the edited respondents only? Cheers, James

Hi. I am a relative newcomer regarding both HTML and JavaScript. In slider question, I have 3+ answers with 0-100%. How can I set a limit that summation of my responses does not go over 100%? ( for example: 30%, 40%, 20%, 10%).

If I want to sent a weekly survey to employees and track the trends week over week or month over month, what is the best way to go about this? Should I copy the same survey or send the same original survey to a different contact list?

I am implementing an experiment wherein I have configured embedded randomization (e.g., participants are allocated to condition 1 or 2). Within these conditions, they are then further allocated a particular order of blocks (1A & 1B; 2A & 2B). Within the blocks, there are a number of trials that are also randomized. Within these trials, participants must chose from one of two "gambles". At the end of the experiment, I would like to (1) randomly select one of the trials (doesn't actually need to be "random" since they are presented randomly) (2) check which of the two "gambles" they selected, (3) use a random number generator to decide the "outcome" of the gamble, and (4) present the participant with feedback about this outcome. I know how to do all of this in principle, and am pretty clear about how to use the random number to determine the outcome (#3). I'm not totally clear how to track the trials (since they're randomly presented), nor how to attach actionable information to the tria

I am trying to get values from the user (via text entry, drill-down, multiple choice) and pass it as piped text in the JSON script to a URL by making a POST request. Upon clicking 'Test URL', it throws error and does not take the piped text as input. However, on passing actual values directly in the JSON, I get the correct results. I would like to know if there is any other way to do this.

I have been pulling my hair out working on a class exercise for students new to survey work. I seem to have confused "embedded" with "embedded" == are there two definitions? I showed students how to recode some fields to enhance the analysis, but the fields are not available for analysis -- they are listed as "embedded" in some of the menus, but not as "embedded" in the analysis menus. I see now that "embedded" seems to mean a field that is included in the survey flow, where a value is generated or passed during the response period. Extremely frustrating after hours of work. So this is my question. Are there two definitions of "embedded"? Maybe someone from the interface team should make another menu option called "not really embedded so not available for analysis in Qualtrics". That would have saved me an immense amount of time.

I made survey. (I explain a bit to make you understand my question. Through upper some questions, I distinguish whether this person fit to my survey. so if they don't fit they could not continue. But I would like to count the person who are fit my question. because I designed randomization question evenly. but all people are still counting even they are not fit anymore.. I do not want to person who are not fit my question. I want to count and evenly distribute the person who are fit. then how to set up the question?

Hello, I have created a survey that produces a Summary of Responses on the termination page. I'd like to be able to use a custom End of Survey message rather than the default message but can't seem to find an option on how to do that. Essentially, once someone has completed the form, I'd like my custom message to appear followed by the Summary of Responses section. Thanks, Dan

Hi -- I am pulling my hair out trying to set up a simple set of examples for students using Qualtrics. All is good except for analysis. I have them recoding data into a new field (clumsy but it works) but - frustration - the field does not show up in the crosstab as a selectable field. The whole option to select embedded data does not show on the interface. The field is a numeric, very simple. It seems to show up in all the places where it should, except for this. What am I doing wrong? Any help greatly appreciated!

Hi all, I am using the built in email to send out my Qualtrics survey. When I send myself, a preview email it looks fine, but when I maximize the window, the text lengthens to fit the entire page but the image remains the same. Is there any way to set the width of the email so it does not vary based on window size? I was thinking I might have to use HTML programming, which I really don't know how to use. Thanks.

I am conducting a survey in which I have two blocks of 50 stimuli (pic) that are exactly the same but underneath the image there is text (i.e. the age) that is different. I need to randomize the stimuli so that all of the participants will see all 50 stimuli (not 100), but will not see a repeated stimuli (i.e. the same stimuli). Is there any mechanism on Qualtrics that allows me to program an if then statement (e.g. if participant sees stimuli 1a (which is in one block) they will not receive stimuli 1a-2(which is in the second block), because then they would be rating the same picture, which is not what I want? Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Hi, We're conducting a survey with multiple loop and merge blocks. We had to use a two-step process to loop and merge on two variables. The actual looping variable is a text box specifying the number of loops (i.e., a text box that is limited to numeric responses that determine the number of loops... If reporting "2" of xxxx, they loop twice). Has anyone had any experience using loop and merge with offline data collection?
