I would like to create custom validation for us phone numbers

I would like to create custom validation so that respondents have to enter their phone number in the following fomat: (xxx)xxx-xxxx. I have tried using a custom validation with a regex statement, but it doesn't seem to work. Am I missing something? Thanks!

Experimental Design Using Separate Survey Links

I have an experiment that has 12 different scenarios. I would like to create one research link that would randomly direct a participate to one of the 12 different surveys (each survey is already complete and ready to go). The part I don’t know about is creating a single link to redirect participants. Is this possible? If so, how do I set it up?

Unable to View Data

So when I go to Tools->Salesforce->Trigger and Email Survey I get this view of all my needed Delta Contact information: ! But when I go to Actions->Tasks I get this view and I can no longer see the fields I need: ! What would be the cause of being able to see Delta Contact fields under one view but not the other? I want to build my email from the Actions tab since there I have the ability to set the link to expire after 24 hours.

How do I set up lowest bucket quota selection?

The lowest bucket is based off of brands paid for, age, and gender. I've created embedded data for age/gender - not sure if that is helpful. Don't know how to take into consideration all of the brands paid for.

How do I use embedded data in java script to show different background colors in survey Look & Feel?

Hello - I am looking to use embedded data fields in the survey in order to show different color schemes for the survey. Is there a java script that would allow me to say "If embedded data is 'blank1', then show (java script for one color scheme). If embedded data is 'blank2', then (insert java script for second color scheme)."? I currently have the color scheme java script in place, however, I am looking for the ability to implement these "if, then" scenarios. Thanks in advance. -Joseph

Is there a way to randomly allocate 1 of 2 embedded data variables, then use the not-selected one

Hi, I have a subsection of an experiment where there are two conditions that I want the order of randomly presented. Because it is a major variable that affects a lot of later blocks, I'm hoping to be able to randomly set an Embedded Data variable, then later use the other not-selected one. Is there nice a way of randomly presenting 1 of 2 variables, then using the other non-selected one later? Jason

Use "Enter" to submit a question

Hello everyone :) I am still working on the word completion task where the participants get a new entrybox every 6 seconds. Now, thanks to the community, I was able to implement the custom code to have the entry box preselected. To increase the convinience for my participants even further, I wonder whether it is possible to submit an answer by pressing the "Enter" key on the keyboard (instead of clicking on the arrow with the cursor). Can this be implemented? Thank you Jonas

How to use Loop and Merge for multiple responses?

Hi I'm trying to put open-ended answers into more than one response for my question, so for example let's say someone wrote "Samsung" and "Apple" then on the other question I want it to say How likely are you to recommend Apple and Samsung, each with their own rating bar from 1-10. Can anyone help with this?

Is is OK to send out the 'preview' survey link (instead of the "Annoymous Link")? This is the url that comes up when you click on the 'Survey preview' button - and which has =preview at the end (of the url). Can I take out the =preview and use this url?

Preselect a Text Entry

Hello everyone I want to do a word-completion task. This means participants see a word fragment (e.g. "w_t_r") which they should complete to a full word (e.g. "water"). As I do it currently, I show them the word fragment as text field and below that there is an empty text entry where they should write "water". This is kind of alright (is that the best way?). Now I want to present them only one word every 6 seconds. So what happens is that I have around 35 blocks with each one word fragment and one entry field. Every 6 seconds there is a new fragment automatically. Now what I would love is that the text entry field is preselected. So that basically the participants not have to select the text entry every new block. I was told by support that this might work with a custom code? Any ideas? Thank you Jonas

Can I make sub-blocks?

I have a 2x4 factorial design and was wondering if it is possible to do show the respondents a specific pair of blocks and still randomize the order? I need two different blocks displayed to every of the three treatment groups. So, let’s say there is Method A, B and C (one respondent should only see one of them), and each has part 1 and 2 (one respondent should see both within the method displayed to him). I found how the randomly display either A, B or C. Right now I have 1 and 2 together in one block, however it is necessary that 1 isn’t always displayed first, so that this is also randomised within the three methods, but I can’t seem to make sub-blocks within one block. I hope I explained this so people can understand. Would be great if someone could help. Thank you!!!

Using piped text from loop and merge in Java script

Hi, I have a problem with using loop and merge pipe text in java script. I try to create embedded data, which will be sum of two fields, and display it on the next page. I want also to create the code which will work on with loop and merge functionality. Is it possible to display a image captured using the file upload question type in Vocalize

We have a form where a user can report a found animal which includes a file upload field for them to include a photo of the found animal. Is it possible to display that image in a Vocalize dashboard (or any other report)? I don't even see the ability to add the filed in the data set when setting up the dashboard in Vocalize...

Creating a multiple choice question with an "ALL of the above" action

Is there a way to create a multiple choice question with an "All of the above" action? For example, i want to have a survey with blocks of questions about A, B, and C. Respondents can choose what to answer about. But I'd like the first question to give them to option to respond about all three, so that I could have them choose ALL and be sent to the block of questions about A, B, and C. Thank you!

Need help with a rank order question

Hi! I'm trying to use a Rank Order question where the respondent would rank up to three responses. These responses are pulled forward from the prior multiple-choice question. Since we don't want to require all 3 responses, though, has anyone found way to automatically code a response as 1 if only one response was pulled forward? Thanks! 1. Creating groups within a field?

I have a number set field called "Course Number" and I want to group them together based on the first number. For instance, anything between 1000 and 1999 should be grouped into the "1000's" group and 2000 to 2999 in the "2000's group", etc. Is this even possible in Vocalize? If so, how can I accomplish it? Maybe by using javascript? The course number is an embedded data field so that may also be important to consider...

Setting up a survey which collates responses then triggers an email advising respondent of results?

We have set up a survey to establish skills gaps among our staff. The survey is broken down into 5 topics. Staff complete these 5 topics and identify their strengths and weaknesses (simple yes or no). We want to capture their weaknesses (i.e.where they have stated 'No' for answers) for each question to then report in an email trigger so we can direct them to a training course to develop skills in those weak areas only. The trigger is only required at the end of the survey on submission. Can someone please advise best practice to set our survey so it reports on the required responses? Much appreciated!

Creating Parents List for Parental Consent

Hi All, Wonder if anyone has had any experience with collecting parental consent (for those aged under 18). We are in the process of setting up our online panel and trying to configure our registration survey so that if someone identifies as 16 to 17 years old they are prompted for their parent's contact details to obtain permission. We were hoping to simply use the trigger contact list functionality to create a contact list of 16-17 year olds and a separate contact list of their parents (with linking data in each list - i.e. parent's and child's names in both contact lists). Approaches we have tried so far that have not worked include: - setting up 2 mailing list triggers in the registration survey - this doesn't work as they are effectively working off the same trigger - so only one list populates or both lists populate with the same data (i.e. child's details) - setting up an email trigger to send the parental consent survey - this doesn't work as the email trigger (as far as

How can I quickly work out which questions my participants were shown?

Trying to explain this as simply as possible. My participants were randomly assigned to a condition (4 different audio clips), meaning there was one audio clip they listened to (and thus three that they did not listen to). I have 'exported' my data, but there is no indication of which condition (i.e. which audio clip) my individual participants listened to. The only way I seem to be able to find which condition they did, is by manually clicking on 'view response.' I then have to manually input this into my data file. As I have several hundreds of participants, this is taking a long time. Is there any way to get like a long list of which condition my participants were shown?

What is the best question type to use in this situation?

I need a question to display every country in the world and allow respondents to select all of the countries they have visited. I have not found a question type that can accommodate this in a user-friendly way. Any suggestions? Currently I have it set up as a Multi Select Box, but you need to hold control to select multiple items and it is not easy to deselect when scrolling through the list.
