We require participants to nominate a minimum number of direct reports. If an individual doesn't have less than the minimum number of direct reports, how do we stop that participant from receiving reminders about nominating direct reports?

I have two metadata fields, Location and Department. I want to enable dashboard access so that dashboard users see all the responses for users with the same Location OR the same Department name. How can I do this?

Is there a limit to the number of characters a person's name can have?

I feel the options are flawed for recording or deleting in progress survey responses, as the only timing choice for deleting in progress responses is after 1 week. Here's how this plays out (and how I've explained to stakeholders) . . . the reason we have this setting in place at all . . . to record unfinished responses . . . is that the only alternative setting would be to delete unfinished responses 1 week after they start but don’t finish the survey. This would mean if they decided to finish a week later when they receive a reminder from us, they would be locked out of the survey as it would already have been recorded in the system. I send reminders for a 2 week period for some of my surveys, and 4 weeks for others, so for those my only conceivable option is to record the unfinished responses and this often confuses people. I'm designing a survey that will be used to help employees build and submit their bio information for our online directory listing. I'd like them to be able to work on it, save, and return at a later date as many times as they'd like. I would security/privacy for the participants, but ideally I'd like to use an anonymous link. Lastly, I would also like to utilize a table of contents, to aid in survey navigation. Though I have some ideas of what might work, I'd really like to get some feedback and recommendations from others. Thanks for your time! 😀

We have a set of 16 blocks we would like to randomize. Three of the blocks MUST be presented, and of the 13 remaining blocks, we only want to show 8 of them picked at random. The 11 (3 required blocks and the randomly picked 8) should all be in random order. Is there a way to randomize presentation of all 11 of the blocks we want to present?

I have an automated survey that has been sending for several months to the main implementation contact on a case. And responses for it have been mapping to a survey response record we created for the survey in Salesforce. One of the items to map is a contact field for the survey respondent, which points to the API name for that contact field on the case. Now I am adding an additional workflow rule and an additional contact field (secondary implementation contact--set up just like the main implementation contact but points to a different Salesforce contact and isn't a required contact field) so that I can survey both of these contacts when they are both filled in for that case. But I've hit a snag when it comes to my response mapping. I need a way to create a condition to tell it when to map in the name of the primary contact vs. the name of the secondary contact based on who actually responded to the survey. We have an existing contact list that is updated nightly through the API. We need the ability to compare survey results to this contact list and see who has and hasn't completed the survey. We can write a separate script to do this via the API, but I was wondering if there was a better way to do so within Qualtrics.

Greetings -- I'm pretty pleased with the answer I came up with for a researcher this morning -- I used branching and embedded data to change the text of a subsequent question. ! The "Surname" ED variable is inserted in the text of a subsequent question so that "Ryan's" last name is either Smith or Jones. On preview, it works -- but is it the most elegant solution? Do I need to have all those branches?

Is there a way to reverse code only specific questions in a Matrix table or do I need to write every item separately as a multiple choice question and then reverse code the appropriate ones?

Does anyone have any tips on discouraging your users from accidentally creating a trial or sharing account with their organization email address? A significant portion of my Qualtrics admin work entails advising people who have created trial or sharing accounts, developed a project in that account, and are then stymied by the limits from these accounts when they try to distribute it. We use SSO authentication for Qualtrics, so a current university affiliate can get started with Qualtrics just by signing in the first time. We don't make them request the account. I have seen that when users go straight to Qualtrics.com and try to fill out the "Create a free account" form, it notices their umich.edu email address and says "hold on there, you should go through umich.qualtrics.com." When they use that address, it authenticates with our SSO and they get an account in our environment with all the privileges we pay for. I want to pipe scoring in a question but the piping option is no longer an option. Some of the scoring would need to be divided by a number. I wanted to put it in a question so we make sure it is in the report.

I'm using the Trigger and Email Survey to send out my survey from Salesforce, but whenever I try to trigger my workflow rule, I get the error "Invalid Email" in my debug email. I have the Email field selected correctly in my Trigger an Email, so what could be happening?

I guess, this is a classic question... :-) In Germany and some other parts of the world, my "customer effort score" multiple options needs to have the opposite order 80% of all countries it's: Strongly Disagree Disagree Neutral Agree Strongly Agree But in Germany it would be Strongly Agree Agree Neutral Disagree Strongly disagree ANyway I can achieve this in a smart and clever way without having to create two different questions and then do all kind of clumbsy stuff to merge the scores/results into 1 column again? :neutral: Thanks!

I am trying to figure out a way to embed a live stream of customer comments on to an internal work website. I feel like this might be possible to push the response data automatically somehow, am I just not sure how. Worst case scenario is that I can update the website manually every so often from comments I have scrubbed, but ideally this wouldn't need to happen. Also to note, this internal website looks like something you'd expect in 1999, so I am not sure I am working with the most up-to-date programs. Any ideas out from anyone?

I know that in Research Core you have the ability to send yourself (and others) emails with results/reports on a regular basis, but is there an automated way to send yourself data/data files? For example, if possible, I'd love to be able to send myself data from the past week every Monday.

Our branded theme displays single choice and multi choice responses in large clickable blocks - this is ideal for the vast majority of surveys/questions. However occasionally (e.g. with a long response list) it would be better to revert to the standard radio button / check box style display. Is it possible to override the theme default without having to revert to a different (and non-branded) theme?

We have a department that has started using Qualtrics for their student evaluations. Because they've just started and were doing it manually, they did a survey for each course. The survey is the same, but with a different course name. Is there a way to create a report template that can be applied to surveys with the same questions? He has 27 surveys (again, all the same questions) and it sure would save some time to be able to use a template to create the report as he needs to see it across the surveys.
