Need some help with why excel data export is not capturing the numbers below (34, 33, 33). The excel export is blank with no numbers for each slider. My objective is for the responder to allocate their work to an equal of 100. I'm looking to create a question that allows survey takers to type in the name of a city of their choosing and have the name show up as they're typing in a drop-down box for easy selection. How would I go about doing that on the free version of Qualtrics?Please also address how I can have survey takers type in and select more than once city on that exact question. Looking to have survey takers type in and select a maximum of 5 pre populated cities. Is there a limit on the amount of pre populated cities I can have? I understand there may be a character count maximum that may easily be exceeded for something like this, should one exist.

I may be missing something simple, but is there a way that in a public report, I can include the individual links to the files that respondents uploaded? I can see on the back-end that the links work, but when I go to the public page, they do not.

Dear All,I have previously turned on mobile friendly for my side-by-side question. However, I can't seem to find this option in the new builder. I have tried to look for it in the survey option too, and also tried clearing the javascript. However, none of the above seems to "bring back" the mobile friendly option. I also suspect that it could be due the inclusion of translation, but the mobile friendly option is still available for the matrix question. Appreciate if anyone could advise please. Thank you.

Hi, I'm making a survey that involves photos. Each photo has two types: edited and original. I would like to randomly present these photos but it needs to only show one type of photo. For example, I have photo 1 that has edited and original version. If photo 1 edited is presented, how do I ensure that photo 1 original is not?

I'm interested in downloading a .csv file of ALL my contacts that have unsubscribed/opted out of my Qualtrics surveys (over the years) so I can add those same emails to my organization's point of sales Do Not Contact databases. Question. could someone walk me through how i can created a short 7 question personality quiz which would them provide variable scores for a list of 31 items in 7 categories, and then the highest item for each category would be suggested to the quiz taker.Example: Q1: do you like fruits which are (single select): a. Sweet b. Juicy c. CrunchyQ2: do you like fruits which are (single select): a. Cheap b. Economical c. ExpensiveBelow are 2 examples of a blank table of attributed points for each item and the 2nd table shows a scenarios where someone chooses Q1a & Q2c. that Fruit B and Dish H would be suggested to them.Does anyone have any suggested ways to program this into a survey.also keeping in mind the points tables might be tweaked from time to time to optimise the relevance based off learnings.

Hi there,Hoping someone can help me understand why my published survey built with the "old" interface tells me I have a 4 questions in my first block. (yes - I do) BUT when I view my survey in the "new" interface it tells me I have 6 questions in my first block? (which I don't! I have 4 questions).I have added a forced response to the last question in the first block (which is my informed consent question) , which should mean that the user must click on this to progress further with the survey. So, I am very confused to see in the data and analysis tab that several users have been able to complete my survey BUT this validity forced response question remains empty. Puzzled. Hello everyone,I'm currently working on an experiment where I need to get participants to rate a whole library of audio clips. However, I can't work out how to do this - all I can do is upload each audio clip individually and then ask the user to rate it. I'm looking for a way I can simply link to the library and each clip will be randomly selected and presented to the user for rating. How can I do this?Thank you,James

I need to require a valid DOB be entered in a field, but I would like it to accept only 1 digit day and month and not force two digits.For example: allow the respondent to enter 4/1/2000 instead of forcing them to type 04/01/2020 to fit the (mm-dd-yyyy) validation mold, which is really annoying.

I have a survey for which I have just collected data. In that survey, I had 3 randomized parts in which I linked to other smaller surveys in the library (I used Randomizer and each element in that Randomizer was a separate survey in the Library). In each of those separate surveys, there’s a question with two randomized parts. When downloading the data for the whole big survey, I could see that there are columns for the randomized parts in the smaller surveys, but there are no values in those columns at all! I have tried “Export viewing order data for randomized surveys” but it only showed the randomized parts in the big survey, not the randomized parts in the small surveys that were linked to the big survey. I would really appreciate your help because this data is very important to me!

I have a survey in which I ask a multiple choice question, one response from which leads to a follow-up drill down question. I would like to recode the responses to these questions so that I can use one field as piped text in several subsequent questions. Here's a silly example of what I'm trying to do:Q1 - What are your plans for breakfast tomorrow?A - I plan to eat breakfast at the dining hallB - I plan to eat breakfast off-campusC - I will have breakfast, but haven't decided whereD - I don't eat breakfastFor those who select B, they then go to a drill down question that ends with them selecting an area restaurant (say, Denny's). In subsequent questions, I'd like to ask things like "thinking about the eggs at (recoded piped text), are they overcooked?" where 'recoded piped text' would say Yummy Dining Hall

Hi, I'm a student in Ben Gurion University my study is a within subject experiment with two levels of independent variable (red condition and blue condition) in the study.in the practice phase, we have a block which contains one picture of fixation point, 4 pictures of geometric shapes- 2 triangles, one in red and one in blue, 2 circles- one in red and one in blue, and at the end a question with 2 optional question. the pictures should be presented by the order I mentioned, but I want randomization of the 4 geometric shapes in a way that each subject will see one shape of the 4, and the practice phase will end after he saw all 4 shapes.in short, I would like a randomization of 4 shapes and 4 return so that the subject will see them all. At the end of my loop and merge, I have a statement saying "Next, we'd like you to answer those questions about (fill in name of second group selected)". I want to second group to show up in this piped text portion, but since it is at the end of my first loop the first group selected is showing up. Is there a way to get the second group selected in the pipe text instead of the first? Thank you.

Hello,This is how usually a survey looks like in Qualtrics, see first image below. (It's centered in the middle of the screen, and the questions are aligned to the left. If I am not wrong, it's possible thanks to the questions container). However, when I am sending an invitation email using the Qualtrics email distribution, the emails look like the second image (there is no margin or any text container that helps center the text in the center of the screen). I tried to do it manually using the indent and alignment options, but it doesn't look good in different email services.Any idea on how to solve this? I would appreciate it.ThanksSurvey:Email:

HelloI have read other threads about this however this has not resolved my issue.I want to be able to "compose email" and manually add a one more more email addresses. I need to be able to compose another email within the same day that may have one or more of the same email addresses on the first email. The saved "contact lists" really does not work for me as each survey will vary in who it is being sent to and in varying combinations. It would be impossible to have a contact lists that works for me. In the thread I read it said to add a "time stamp" in the text editor however I do not see any "text editor' field anywhere in Qualtrics or the compose email screen. Maybe its called something different?I read you can modify the email subject line of the email to make it unique and this will avoid Qualtrics flagging this as a duplicate/spam. This however has not worked for me. I have also tried doing this along with making the body of the email unique by using a fe

I get contacted about 10 times a month by people who get the Qualtrics Internal System Error when trying to perform some of our surveys. 100% of the time the fix is having the person clear their browser history data. I guess what I am wondering is if there is anything I could do on my end to make this happen less often or maybe even an explanation to help me understand what specifically causes this issue relative to browser data? Also, does device type matter relative specifically to this issue?

However, we would like to use our own category/topic system. Now, by trying it out I had a few questions come up:Does text IQ in any way enable us to assign topics automatically to open comments? (e.g. would that be possible if we didn’t use custom topics but the pre-defined librarys?) As for an example: if I finished my survey and then use text IQ for the analysis, is there any way that it would analyze the open comments automatically? Can I somehow train the system so that it knows which words in an open comment indicate which topics?For responses that come in late, I understood that I have to update the dataset manually.
