Survey Platform

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a way to create a question in a survey project where the customer can select a date from a calendar instead of typing it in. Currently, I have a simple Text Entry question with a custom Regex validation, but my client is not completly satisfied and would like to see if there is a way to replace this question with a calendar picker. Has anyone successfully implemented this type of question in a survey and could help me out? Thanks 😄

A very strange thing that happens… someone also had the same?When using the workflow survey distribution which saves the embedded data and then distribute the survey some of the embedded data fields are duplicated to the same line. For example: intead of Partner = Yes, I get Partner = YesYes or NoNo as in the image.All of this is part of the codes of JS that is running prior to this task, but there everything is fine, and I had the same issue when not using this code, but running the survey distribution task based on email and data customers put as input in a survey… any idea what is influencing the duplication?? ​@TomG  maybe you saw this once? 

I have a randomizer in my survey which selects 6 blocks from a set of 100. I want participants to see the exact same 6 blocks later in the survey for the second time – is there any way I can do that? Thanks in advance!

Hello,I am trying show links from supplemental data in survey questions based on the language but its not showing up any links while testing the survey even though I updated question with pipe text

Hi Community,We’re stumble upon a weird behavior on Qualtrics and needing your view on thisWe are sending personal survey link that expired in 1 day to customer.  Base language is Vietnamese The Inactive survey message (Show a message to people who visit your survey after it expires or after you’ve made it inactive.) is customized in Vietnamese, English (US), English (UK)When testing, the message only show the default one: “Your survey session has expired and you cannot continue taking the survey.” No matter if the Base Language is Vietnamese or English….Upon further testing, I’ve found out that the above ‘Inactive survey message’ is only work with the Survey Project expire or inactive. The Link expiration date in Distribution tab will trigger the default one.Is there anyway to customize this? This is urgent. We’ll appreciate any idea 🙏🙏🙏

Hello, everyone!I’m struggling to ensure that my videos display well for all participants regardless of the device they are using to complete the survey. I’m talking about smartphones, tablets, and laptops/desktops.I’ve embedded YouTube videos using the HTML code from YouTube.When the HTML code used a height of 315 and a width of 560, the videos were only partially displayed on my smartphone’s screen (Samsung A71).I found a suggestion here https://community.qualtrics.com/custom-code-12/resize-videos-to-fit-screen-24737 to change the width in the HTML code to “100%” and the height to “auto.”After that change, the videos started fitting on my Samsung phone screen, though the useful area of the video, the one with the picture showing information, became a bit smaller.At the same time, the computer version of the video became long and narrow, and the video itself occupies a very small part of the screen while about two-thirds of the area is black space:My question is: Is there any HTML cod

Hey Qualtrics Wizards!I have two related questions about setting up a repeated-measures survey in Qualtrics: Reminders: Is it possible for Qualtrics to send automatic reminder emails to participants who forget to complete a session? If so, how can I configure this feature to ensure participants stay on track? Combining Data: For a repeated-measures study with multiple sessions, is there a way to combine all the participant responses into one excel spreadsheet rather than having separate datasets for each session? Hello, I have a list of 10 items that I want to randomize by splitting them into two sets: the first set is shuffled randomly, and the second set is reordered to align with the shuffled order of the first, preserving their pairings. For example for a list of A1, B1, C1, D1, E1, A2, B2, C2, D2, E2 an example of correct randomization would be: A1, C1, B1, E1, D1, A2, C2, B2, E2, D2. I was able to get this working for a side-by-side question, but I’m having trouble replicating it for a Matrix question displayed as a carousel. In the carousel, there is no randomization at all. Below, I’ve included the code that works for the side-by-side question and my attempt to adapt it for the carousel. I need help automating responses within a drill-down question in Qualtrics. Specifically, I have three groups in the drill-down question:Group 1: Income in 2023 (answer options: income ranges). Group 2: Whether income has changed in 2024 compared to 2023 (answer options: Yes/No). Group 3: Income in 2024 (answer options: income ranges).I want to automatically populate Group 3 with the same value as Group 1 if the respondent selects "No" for Group 2. For example, in my picture, the field for 2024 will be automatically display Less than €12,189 if the answer to changes is no. This would save respondents from having to manually select the same value again in Group 3. I am completely new to JavaScript and would really appreciate your help! 

In our dashboard, we want to exclude an answer choice, because that choice means that during the observation that “thing” was not happening. For instance, in an ELAR room, it was not the time of day for fluency instruction, so that was “NP” or “Not Present”, but because the Agency requires us to choose that option the data is skewed. I went into the Dashboard data and chose “exclude from analysis”, unfortunately, that only excludes that option from showing. It doesn’t remove that data from the denominator. Is there a way to exclude the surveys from that widget that chose that answer? In the graphic attached, I excluded NP,  which would make the 35% a 70%.  

Hi,I'm trying to set up e-mail triggers to re-send the survey link to my participants a week after they've completed a portion of it. At the start of the survey my participants fill out a question asking for their e-mail adress. I'm trying to set up the e-mail triggers so that these e-mail adresses are automatically used by qualtrics so that i dont have to manually add every e-mail adress. So far i've tried two ways: setting up e-mail triggers setting it up as a workflowI'm pretty sure my conditions are set up correctly, I think qualtrics just has trouble finding the e-mail adresses that my participants filled out? Hi, I am having a randomization issue and I could use some assistance. Let’s say my survey has two blocks, Block A and Block B. In Block A, I would like to display three images on one page: the first one will be randomly selected from images 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6; the second will be image 7; the third will be image 8. These three images need to be displayed together on the same page (as a text/graphic question) in randomized order.Later, in Block B, I would like to randomly display one image: either image 7, or image 8, or the selected image from set 1-6 that was displayed in Block A.I have been trying to accomplish this using the randomizer in survey flow but I have failed so far. I can get it to do what I need it to do in Block A, but when I get to Block B, it displays an image, but not the correct one. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

 Hello, I don’t have access to the recode value option for slider question. I need to reverse code the values from strong disagree to strong disagree (where the back-end values are 5 to 0 as opposed to the 0 to 5 reflected on the front-end of the questionnaire), for some of my questions that require this reverse coding.  Is there a simple approach to do this?  

Hello everyone,I am using the personal links for distributing an end of program survey to my graduating students. Immediately following launch, I had four students reach out and tell me that they received the message “You have either already completed the survey or your session has expired.”I instructed the students to clear their cache and cookies and that did not work for them. I ended up sending them one off links I generated individually. Those links worked without an issue.The students use a shibboleth SSO to get access to the survey. The students receiving the message said they are not being asked to complete the shibboleth. I double checked and the shibboleth is in the correct place and active. I have set the links to expire after 90 days. I also set the ability to return to complete the survey to 1 year.Previously, I tested the personal links function before and they all worked. Hi,I called Qualtrics who cannot help me with this and have sent me to the Community.I am unable to have text instead of back and next arrows. I fetched the text versions from my library were they were created ages ago and which I have used many times before. The people on the phone suggested scrapping them and redoing them. Hi everyone,I am building a Q methodology survey by using exclusion method. I have 40 statements.  I start with 16 agree/disagree statements out of 40.Then, using choice forward function, 2 statements out of 16, followed by 3 statements out of remaining 14, then 5 statements out of 11. So I don’t have to ask for the last remaining 6. Because participants do not need to select, the last 6 statements are not recorded as you can see in the screenshot.Is there any way, the unselected choices are recorded as response?  ps: I suppose I can make the another questions with the remaining 6 statements  and ask participants to select all. I would have to do it for agree, disagree and neutral and it would be unnecessary and boring for participants. I would rather avoid that if we have a way to get around that.  

My application is doing a survey of everyone in a household where I want the answers to some common core questions (e.g., What region of the country is this?  Is this a house, apartment, or communal residence?  What year was the building built?,  Date of the survey?) plus the answers to questions unique to each household member (e.g., what’s your age?  For whom do you plan to vote? etc.) where I don’t want to do a Loop & Merge into one very long record, but a record stored for each household member that combines the answers to the core questions along with the answers to the member-specific questions.The number of household members will, as you’d expect, vary from household to household.What’s the most elegant solution to make this happen that doesn’t require someone to re-enter the core questions for each household member?

I am trying to calculate the total time that participants took to complete each section of my survey.My current method is to create a field and use the Formula function to sum the individual timings for each question in the section. This is giving me what I’m after, but the next few sections have over 40 timing elements to be summed which will each need a letter and to be individual selected.Is there a better way to do this?Thank you.

Within a ticket, users are able to see the “Customer survey response”. My brand refers to customers as “guests”, and I am looking to keep consistency across the platform for frontline users.  Is there anyway to change the field name of “Customer survey response” to “Guest survey response” on these pages?

Hi, I have launched a website intercept and the final question is just text, saying thanks for your feedback and that it has been recorded. Currently the customer has to click on the > arrow to complete. I was wanting to create a question that auto completes after around 1 second.I’ve seen you can do this for the whole survey, but I only want to auto advance on the final question, does anyone know how I could go about doing this?Thanks!

Hi All, I am new to this community and I am very excited to share knowledge and experience with great people here.I am working on a survey that has some questions with images, which we use the library to show the participants. The participants see the questions with the data title we assigned for each question, so there is no problem with that. However, in the exported dataset, we get inconsistent IDs for such questions that seem to be randomly assigned to the question.When I contacted Qualtrics support regarding this manner, they provided detailed instructions on how to add specific IDs to the survey flow, that include Adding Embedded Data, Setting, and Using the Piped Text to Insert the Embedded Data the Value. I followed those instructions and was able to add the embedded data fields for the questions that have these artifacts. However, I am still getting inconsistent IDs when I export the data.Now, the question is how can I ensure that the same ID is used consistently across multip

I'm experiencing an issue with storing Embedded Data in my Qualtrics survey that uses Google Maps API.
