We need urgent help regarding a survey that has been running fine since yesterday but is NOT working fine now. It would be great if you can give your guidance and help fix it.In a multiple choice question (one value can be selected), via JAVASCRIPT, the NEXT BUTTON is hidden and on click of any of the options of the question, it proceeds to the next question. The code is as below: This was working fine till yesterday and today it has stopped working.Please help. Regards,Neha Tank

I am downloading a large number of Qualtrics datasets as a backup.When I navigate to the “Data & Analysis” tab, it sometimes takes a while for the “prepared dataset” to be generated. However, I’ve noticed that it’s possible to export the dataset before it’s fully generated (which I assume refers to the visual display loading), and the exported file seems to be complete. My question is: is it safe/fine to export the datasets before they are fully generated? Thanks!

Hi Community, I have multi choice question type. Respondents will be taking the survey with their preferred language.When I try to store the response to an embedded data,  its not getting translated automatically in English.

Is there a way to pass embedded data to the Offline app? We will be conducting an onsite survey (using iPads and the Qualtrics offline app) at several locations and dates and want to make sure we keep track of which response comes from which site.Is there a way to pass embedded data to the offline app? (Different values for each site)Or is there some better way to achieve our goal?Thanks

Good morning. I am using the same survey for multiple partners. Our partners will complete the survey multiple times in a given year, so I want to differentiate the data based on partner, year of the survey, and survey number (1, 2, 3, etc). I am using External Data Reference to identify the various partners and query strings to identify the year and survey data. In testing, all of the data came through in the results through the URL. However, a partner just used the data LIVE and neither the year nor the survey number appears in the data. Any ideas what I did wrong? https://EXAMPLE.com/jfe/form/SV_asdfjklqwuio?ExternalDataReference=0&Year=2024&Survey=1EX: In testing, the data fields from a URL like the one above populated as: EDR = 0; Year = 2024; Survey = 1However when a partner actually used the link, the results appeared as: EDR = 0; Year = (blank); Survey = (blank)

Hello!I have a survey with a question set up as seen below:In a report that I’m creating, I want to be able to see the percentage of responses that were either ‘Somewhat likely’ or ‘Very likely’. I have set up scoring for the question, so that ‘Very unlikely’ = 1 and ‘Very likely’ = 5. As such, I effectively want to view the percentage of responses that were equal to or greater than 4.I tried to set this up in the Data & Analysis section using a bucket, but it simply uses the text ‘Somewhat likely’ etc. instead of the scoring values that I set up. Is there a way to view the percentage of survey respondents that selected ‘Somewhat/Very likely’ in the report? I need to this value as simple text. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi everyone,Is it possible to trigger/run a workflow after another workflow has finished running?  Thank you!

Qualtrics’ MaxDiff projects produce an output called “Preference Share”. It is defined as:The Preference Share is a measurement of the distribution of preference that respondents have for the tested attributes of the maxdiff. The preference shares sum to 100 and can be understood as the likelihood that the attribute truly is the most preferred item. My assumption is that Qualtrics is probably taking the “Average Feature Utility” it produces and passing it through a softmax function to converts the utilities into probabilities that sum to 1. However, when I applied a softmax function (i.e., exp(Value)/sum(exp(Value)) ) to the Average Feature Utility values, they do not produce identical values to what Qualtrics produces. See below: Average Feature Utility 1.87602 0.891439 1.004267 0.197074 -0.65923 -0.65549 0.068604 -1.63446 0.47346 -0.01903 -0.08351 -1.80165 -2.01015 0.082374 2.715848 Softmax of Average Feature Utility 0.185307 0.06923 0.077499 0.

Hi everyone,I’m currently designing a research study and would greatly appreciate your expertise! I am designing intervention for a social cause and need a real world outcome as a dependent measure, e.g. donation to an organization working for that cause. I’m using Qualtrics for a survey and at the later part of the survey, I am planning to ask participants to donate (with an option to decline). My question is that is there any option to do so through Qualtrics and more importantly count the number of participants who donate and track how much they donate (so that I can compare effectiveness of intervention across control vs intervention conditions). Thanks in advance for your time and support!

Hi everyone,I’m currently designing a research study and would greatly appreciate your expertise! I am designing intervention for a social cause and need a real world outcome as a dependent measure, e.g. social media share. I’m using Qualtrics for a survey and at the later part of the survey, I am planning to ask participants to post on social media (with an option to decline) maintaining their anonymity on Qualtrics platform. My question is that is there any option to do so through Qualtrics and more importantly count the number of participants who share it on social media (so that I can compare effectiveness of intervention across control vs intervention conditions). Thanks in advance for your time and support!

Hi everyone,I’m currently designing a research study and would greatly appreciate your expertise! I’m using Qualtrics for a survey, but midway through the survey, I need to redirect participants to another website to complete a specific task and collect data that cannot be captured within Qualtrics. After the task, I would like them to be redirected back to the same survey to continue answering additional questions.Could anyone guide me on how to implement this? I’m also interested in knowing if it’s possible to collect identifiers, such as Prolific IDs or response IDs, from the first survey and match them with responses from the second survey to attribute data to the same participants. As a marketing researcher with no background in HTML or coding, your assistance would be invaluable. Any advice or guidance on this technical challenge would go a long way in helping me achieve my research objectives!Thanks in advance for your time and support!

Hello! I am trying to filter the results within a report based on embedded data that is in the mailing list that I am distributing the survey to.I have set up a workflow in the survey that takes contacts from a Qualtrics File Service import, and then uses an XM Directory task to email the survey to each contact while also adding them to a mailing list. Each contact has a specific embedded data field that exists in the mailing list that I want to filter by, such that, when I apply the filter, the report only shows results specific to contacts that fulfill the filter.I’m not sure how to pull this data from the contact list into the report and use it as a filter, I tried adding a filter in the report but couldn’t find the relevant data field. I’ve also tried adding the relevant field as embedded data in the Survey Flow section, but couldn’t find the relevant data in that section either. Is there any way to do this? Any help would be much appreciated.

Good morning sir/madam,I am sorry in advance for my broken English. I am new to Qualtrics, and I hope my stupid question does not bother you.I am conducting my survey for academic research and there is a question I need to upload the pictures of two products to test consumer preference. Nevertheless, whenever I clicked on the button “add graphics”, this message popped up “#ErrorCodes, Unable to parse response as JSON: Syntax error#”.I am using the free version, so I wonder if I need to get a paid version in order to add graphics to my survey. I tried every single solution to fix it before posting my issue here, so I hope to get some advice from you, sir/madam.Thank you so much, and I am so sorry again.Best regards,Todd.

Hello, I have a text entry (numeric) question that loops 4 times. I want to record the response of the 2nd loop as an embedded data field to be used in a later part of the survey. I am currently using the following code in js, but it is not working. Any thoughts on how to get the code to work? Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnPageSubmit(function() {         if("${lm://CurrentLoopNumber}" == 2) {        var res_beliefdays = jQuery("#" + this.questionId + " .InputText").val();         Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData("res_beliefdays",res_beliefdays);        }});

Hi all, I want to add a satisfaction rating question to my survey and it needs to be 10pt scale, not 11 point so I can use the pre-designed NPS question as it is not editable. My issue is that the buttons have this border on them, which I want to remove. What is the best way to do this?  Thanks in advance

Can someone tell me where I’m going wrong?Context:I’m trying to use java script in two multiselect multiple choice questions to add a value to an embedded data field. In the first question (“What do we do well?”) the embedded data fields should all be set to 0, and then each of the selected choices (e.g. Pay, Vacation, Workload, etc.) should turn their corresponding embedded data field to 1. In the second question (What do we do poorly?”), each selected choice (same choices, but without those previously selected) should set the corresponding embedded data field to -1. I’m using the following java script on each question. At the moment, all my embedded data fields keep coming back 0 regardless what I answer in the survey.Question 1 java script:Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function() {    // Get the question ID for "Good stuff"    var questionId = this.getQuestionInfo().QuestionID;    // Get the selected choices for the question    var selectedChoices = this.getSelectedChoices();

We have many Qualtrics users creating surveys, and it can be hard to keep track. We would like to set up an automation or program that automatically collaborates any newly publishes survey with a master and/or Admin account. Clueless how to do it! TIA

Hello, I want to use Qualtrics to post the invitation to a corporate event I am hosting. I need to post directions, my contact details, and a few other details. I can create a survey with a single Text/Graphic question where I post all of this info.  There are a couple of problems:Once it goes live, I can’t change any details. How can I get around this without generating a new URL link or QR code? If people click the “Next” Bottom, then it’s over. I don’t want to lose their attention. Is there anyway I could disable the next bottom so that they can only see my message? Please let me know what you think, even if you have an answer for just one of the questions. Best,

I would like to prevent users from pasting text into text entry fields within a SIDE BY SIDE question format. So far, I haven't been able to find a solution that works.We are currently using the following JavaScript code:jQuery("#"+this.questionId+" .InputText:eq(0)").on("cut copy paste",function(e) {   e.preventDefault();  });This code successfully prevents pasting when applied to text box questions. However, it does not seem to work when used in the SIDE BY SIDE question format.Could you please let me know if there is a specific way to disable pasting in this type of question? Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

My survey contains five questions related to media consumption. Which of the following news sources do you recognize? check all that apply ---- Page Break --- Which of the following news sources do you engage with frequently? check all that apply (answer options use Carry Forward logic to display all choices selected from Q1) Which of these news sources is your main source for information about government and politics? select only one (answer options use Carry Forward logic to display all choices selected from Q1) Which of these sources do you trust for political-related news? check all that apply (answer options use Carry Forward logic to display all choices selected from Q1)---- Page Break --- Which of these sources do you distrust for political-related news? check all that apply (answer options use Carry Forward logic to display all choices unselected from Q4)However, if a respondent selects all options for Q4 (i.e., they trust all the news sources they recognize), then Q5 is displa

Hi CommunityI remmember a recent Qualtrics product online meeting. They show a feature that will automatically clarify the ambiguous text entry made by customer.For example: If the customer leave a comment: “Bad” the survey will auto detect that and ask a follow up question to clarify that.Can anybody give me the document or the name of the feature as well as the roadmap of it? It seems like the feature have something to do with AIThank you!

Hi everyone,I am planning to run an Adaptive Conjoint study in Qualtrics (maybe also ACBC if possible).According to the Qualtrics documentation, it should be possible to run Adaptive Conjoints in Qualtrics - however when looking through the Conjoint survey module (choice-based), I can’t seem to find any option to adjust the shown attributes/levels according to respondent’s preferences, i.e. making it Adaptive.Does anyone have any experience with this or know how to account for the adaptive bits? Is there maybe another Conjoint module I am not aware of?Thank you for your help!Eva

I have three questionsAwareness - with a multi select brand list Usage - with a multi select brand list. Select up to max 2.  Performance of each brandI would like to ask performance (part 3) a maximum of 3x per respondent based on their answers to part 2 and 1.  I would like to prioritise the performance question to those who are using that brand (part 2), but also pull in answers from part 1 if they say are using less than three brands (they are only actually allowed to select up to 2. Is there a way to maximise the number of rotations between 2 questions?  Or another clever way to do this?

I’ve created a survey and, for some reason, some of the questions will incorrectly record the response options chosen. For example, I will select “yes” but the data file will have the response recorded as “not sure” which is the third and final response option. We had previously determined that in-page logic was causing a similar issue (Recording the last response option for any question that had logic on it), but we can’t figure out what is causing the data to be misrecorded. Does anyone know what may be causing this?

Hello, I am setting up Qualtrics as a way to share some contact details with my listserv. I want all of the information that they will need in one site rather than an email chain. I just want to set up a project that everyone has the url for. My problem is that if I set it up as a survey and set up a Graphic / Text question, the “Next” bottom inevitably sends them to the end of the survey. Is there anyway I could disable the “Next” bottom so that they are effectively stuck with the Graphic / Text question? Best,
