I want to schedule my data pull in legacy format on every Friday from 1 Jan 2018 to current date and want to place in certain folder so that other team can use. I don't want all this work automated. Any Help?

How to add timepicker to a field in a matrix type question

Hi everyone, I am designing a survey where I will ask participants to input start and end time of an activity in a matrix type question and for that I am planning to use the time picker function in java (see this link). However, I cannot figure out how to apply this java code to specific fields in the matrix type question (see the attached image below). Does anyone maybe know how this would be possible? Thank you very much for your help and suggestions! !

quotas updated live

I have created a form for students to select tutorial groups. Its designed to so that they on they only choose groups that don't clash and are not full. I have put quotas for their choices. However the quotas are not updated until after students complete the form. Is there anyway for the number times a group is selected to update as soon as a student has chosen it whilst they are completing the form. So to prevent choices been made for already filled groups. Is there any way to do this?

Vertical lines separating each answer column for matrix table (likert)

I have a matrix table (likert) with a 5 point scale. I would like to have a vertical line between each column of answers for visual clarity. I have used JS to create a vertical line separating the last multiple choice option (to separate "Don't know" from the rest of the options) but how can I create this vertical separator line for all columns? How to add static text in between two form entries (and change the order in which box is displayed)

I know how to add static text after a text entry box, but I'm trying to get survey participants to submit two text entries in two boxes in a "form" style; for example: {ENTRY BOX 1} hours and {ENTRY BOX2} minutes How can I code this in javascript, so that the static text is in the right place? Also, how can I make sure the entry boxes are on the same line? Thank you!

Query Related to Video

Hi All, We have implemented a video in qualtrics, but now we have a requirement to hide progress bar of video and make the video autoplay. We are not using the youtube link, we are directly inserting media for setting up the video. Please let us know if there is anyway to do this? Thanks, Salim

How can I made a slider that snaps to the grid and that shows its value on the right of the slider?

With Slider, I can snap to the grid. With ConstantSum I can see the value of the slider on its right. Is there a way to have both?

Facebook login Javascript SDK only running in first page

Hi there, I have included Facebook login Javascript SDK to create a social login button and display participants' Facebook user picture in Qualtrics. One problem I am facing is that displaying the user picture works fine the very first time I want to show it, but not anymore on follow up pages (i.e. after clicking the next button). The same applies to the social login button, but I only need that to show that once anyway, so that's not really a problem. I've tried simply copying the Javascript code to the question where I also want to show the user picture, as well as adding it to the header in the look&feel, but I cannot get it to work. It works fine for the first question I use it in (regardless of where in the survey it is), but not for any follow-up questions. Any help would be very much appreciated! Thanks! How to create variable based on previous response?

I've never used javascript. I'm going to be doing a lot of display logic based on zipcode. Essentially, I want to take a lot of zipcodes (over 1k) and condense them to a couple dozen. My plan was to create a hidden question and create some if logic to condense. So - Q1.4 is where I ask people to enter zipcode Q72 is a hidden question where I hope to condense the codes. From poking around on here, I've got: jQuery("#"+this.questionId).hide(); //here's where I'm hiding the question Which works perfectly... but I haven't been able to just do some simple logic like: if zipcode is '60606' then store '33' into Q72. It seems like this should be really easy.

How to move to a different block with javascript?

I have a countdown timer setup for a question and I want to be able to move the participant to a different block with a warning informing them to respond faster before moving them back and restarting the question block and I just can't figure out the code for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

One clickable choise per column in a multplie choice likert question

Hey guys! Right now I have a likert multiple choice that has two columns and four options. I want users to be able to select the same option in both rows, but not be able to select more than one option per column; if they click on a second option in the same column, the first one should disappear like a regular multiple choice and the second should be selected. Is there a question type that does this or some code? Thanks!

Text entry boxes are displaying on the far right side of the screen

When our survey is being taken on a large monitor(30"?), the text boxes on the multiple choice questions are displaying on the far right side of the screen, instead of next to or below the option they are connected to. I'd like to make that stop happening. Thoughts?

Change width sections in contstant sum question

In a contstant sum question there is a section for text (1) and a section for the sliders (2). Please see the screenpring below. ! I would like to have the width for the textsection bigger and the section for the sliders smaller. How can I do this? Thanks in advance.

Hover Over Feature

I am trying to create a survey that has a lot of long definitions of words. Instead of having the long definitions in the question, I want to design the survey so that when the user hovers over the word, the definition will pop-up for them to read. How would I do this?

Code to lock/fix an image question to the top of a page

Hi - I am looking to fix an image to the top of a question, so that when you scroll down through a number of questions on the screen the image is still present at the top and can be rated easily without having to scroll up and down. Hope someone can help :)

Hello, I created the table below with the side by side question option. On the right-hand side (select the one mostly used in practice), I would like to make it impossible for the participants to select >1 option. Is there a way to do this? Q sort in Qualtrics

Hello, I am trying to create a Q-sort question in Qualtrics with around 50 items to sort in 9 or 11 different groups, from least important (-5) to most important (5). I have been struggling with two things: 1) Is there a way to change the size of the different box for the groups 2) Can I program a number of item that can go in each group (from let's say 2 for -5 and +5 to 9 for 0)? Right now I can only define the minimum (2) and maximum (9), but cannot indicate specific number for each box. I assume that, if possible, I would have to do that use JavaScript. Does anyone has good resources to learn quickly Javascript. I have no skill whatsoever with programming (except for R) and do not know where to start. Thank you!

Setting embedded data using javascript

I've read through every post on this topic but I still can't seem to get this to work. I want to capture an answer from a matrix dropdown list into embedded data. Then I want to show that response in a matrix text box in a later block. However, we're also giving the respondent the option to go back and change their answer. I've tried this without JS by setting the answer as embedded in the survey flow, then piping it in the other block. But when the respondent goes back to change their answer, the piped answer doesn't update in the other block. So I'm trying to use JS to capture the answer, but the answer is not capturing. I have this code in question JS: Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData('User_answer', currentResponse); Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.getEmbeddedData('User_answer'); Then I added 'User_answer' as an embedded data element at the very top of my survey flow. What am I missing?

Javascript to calculate user's age, based on DOB, and branch respondent to correct survey

A major goal of our recruitment survey is to identify the exact age of respondents in days then branch them to a survey based on exact age (we have multiple surveys between birth and older than 4 years old). Currently we ask participants for their date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY) and would like to use JS to: Calculate age (in days), based on the current date Branch participants based on age (in days) to the correct survey. For example: based on date of birth, we would want to know the patient is between 1,050 days and 1,185 days old to be eligible to take our survey for 36 month olds, where we would then branch the respondent to that particular survey.

How to get a result of a math operation within the same page?

Hello! I have a question in which the respondent have to choose a product and then how much of it they would like to buy. I would like to add a feature in which in the moment they select the amount, they can see how much they would have to pay for it. Everything in the same page. I called the customer service but they told me that this feature requieres Java script, but I am not so good in it. Does anybody has previusly used a similar code that I could adapt to my survey? Change background-color textentry field in a form

Hello, In a survey I build in a form like the below screenshot: ! On the field Zipcode I added a validation on Postalcode. If a wrong code is given, a message appears. But I also want to have a different background-color. How can I set this background-color to a bit of red? Thanks in advance.
