Hello everybody,I am new to javascript. I am trying to imitate a shopping cart scenario. I have a multiple choice question where people are shown several products with price/kg. They are asked to select as many products as they prefer to buy. I am trying to dynamically show the amount of money they are spending based on the options they select at the bottom of the page, similar as in online purchases. After the multiple choice question I added a text question and under “Question behaviour” I wrote the script in the javascript. However, it is not working as the question which should show the total amount of money spent is not being updated. Hello,In my organization’s 508 compliance review, they found issues with the color of hover-over highlighting across the questionnaire and around our radio buttons in matrix questions.We need to modify the hover-over to change colors, consistent with the recommendations from our 508 team. Would you be able to help me with codes to change the color of the hover-over focus highlighting across the questionnaire to be color contrast 508-compliant, to color code #3D7AB7 ? In this case, I would also need to change the text color of the radio buttons and question text to be white, #FFFFFF.  Additionally, the matrix radio buttons in our survey have a unique “shadow” around them that is not 508 compliant (see image). I want to remove the “shadow” and change button to have a white, #FFFFFF color when focused on/hovered over. I have not had any luck working with codes to remove the shadow/change the color of the button when hovered over/focused.  Alternatively, do you know of a way to remove the

I am experimenting with Qualtrics EX program for employee pulse surveys. These are run via an anonymous link that is distributed to all employees to complete. The first question that employees are asked is to select their “Group” and “Division” these are pre-set via an org hierarchy.The problem with this is, while you can force a response to the question, you cannot force a response on both levels. As in, if someone was to select their “Group”, then they are not forced to select their “Division” because the response requirement has been met. This can create incorrect results if someone fails to select their “Division”The only solution I can see while maintaining the Anonymous link, is to utilise JavaScript to create a 2nd force response in the one question, but I can’t seem to get it to work.This is what has been created so far. I have replaced the Group and Division names with dummy and divvy for this example. Note not every “Group” has a Division, Dummy3 is just a Group. “orgname” is

Hello,As a part of a study, I need the respondent to see the current (live) average answer of other respondents in the survey. So that the average is shown before the answer choices. This is to evaluate how the opinion of others affects the response. I am very new to coding in Qualtrcis and after searching similar topics from the forum I found little to no help to this task. Because of the nature of the study, doing another survey and linking the averages this to the current survey is probably not an option (this was suggested in other discussions in the forum). To make this hard enough, I need to be able to show the answers of spesific group to a responded which belongs to a spesific group. But help for the first task is more important, maybe I can figure this latter later. Thank you so much for any tips in advance!

Hi there,I would like to know about how to set specific dates and times as options through JavaScript. While I’ve come across many articles explaining how to set up time, I haven’t found any that mentioned how to set specific dates and times “within the same question”.I’m curious if this is feasible and how it can be accomplished. Below is the code I’ve written so far, and currently, it allows setting dates, but I’m having trouble specifying the time：  I’ve reviewed some articles which indicates how to set up time picker, but it’s not in the same question with specific dates, and most important, we could not assign specific times through it. Any help or step-by step go through would be much appreciated, thanks in advance!

Hi,I have an stand-alone workflow that creates a record in Salesforce when a Survey is activated. I would like to make that RecordId available to the workflows in the Survey that was activated. Is it possible to create embedded data from a workflow task?Thanks!

Hello, Do you know if the Update Embedded Data call can also be used to update the email address of responses, or if there is any other call I can use for this purpose?The reason why I'm asking is because we have received a requirement to anonymize the responses older than 2 years, and I'm on the understanding the only way to automatically bulk update responses data is through API call.Thank you in advance for your help!Best,Daniel

Am designing a survey using sliding scale bars. Would like the numeric scale labels AND descriptive labels to appear underneath the scale bar as opposed to above. Pictured is what I currently see. Qualtrics support confirmed this would need a custom code to accomplish. Ideally both the numbers and the descriptions (“Light sleep,” “Deep sleep”) would be below the sliding bar. 

I am not a UX designer at all, but I wonder if anyone can help me with some css to make all of the colors the secondary and only have the banner be the primary? Made this mockup of a theme, but what I need is the secondary color applied to everything but the banner (see the image) . I can interpret css somewhat and could change color codes, just no idea how to write it on my own.  

We are using response-schema API to fetch the schema of a survey.In our survey, we are having a multipunch Grid with two statements having variable name set QX and QY, and five responses with recode values starting from 1 to 5. When we get schema through response-schema API, we are just getting two columns in schema which are QX and QY while we need names in schema like QX_1, QX_1, QX_3, QX_4, QX_5, QY_1, QY_1, QY_3, QY_4 and QY_5 splitted as we get in exported csv data file when we select "Split multi-value fields into columns" to download the CSV.We checked over Support and we can see that with parameter breakoutSets in API we can enable/disable "Split multi-value fields into columns" but breakoutSets seems to be not supported with response-schema API. Please help me on this and let us know how i can achieve my goal.

Hello,I have a problem with my experiment.I have a part in my experiment when participants have to wait for 20 minutes before proceeding to the next part. But since they do it from home and are paid for their participation, I would like to screen out and expel those who try to cheat their way and take less or more time to return.What I originally tried was setting embedded data variables:t1 - the time they reached the part where they had to wait (for example 14:20).t2 - the time they clicked to move to the next part (for example 14:40).t3 - subtracting t1 from t2 to get how much time they waited.This is the equation I created: $e{e://Field/t1 - e://Field/t2}Then I tried to set logic rules that if t3 is smaller than 17 or bigger than 25, they would be screened out. But it didn’t work.What did I do wrong? Is there a better option?Have a good weekend.Best,Daniel

I have uploaded a word document to a survey and am hoping to track which survey takers down the document. I have used a previous thread about tracking whether a link is clicked to get started. I created an embedded variable, "download", and set it equal to "0". Then I used some javascript provided in this post: https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/2809/track-whether-a-link-is-clicked-in-qualtrics-even-a-respondent-leaves-for-the-opened-new-page. I can tell that the issue is with the JQuery link since it uses a #extLink. However, I am not sure what to use here for a downloaded file. Any help would be appreciated. Hello,Can someone help me with the JavaScript that would multiply the value of two text entry fields for which I have set validations of content type as "number". I’m very inexperienced with qualtrics and I could use some help with a specific point: I want to make a manipulation by asking participants to write a paragraph in the text entry type of question. However, I’m afraid they might use chatGPT to produce the text and fail my manipulation. Hi  I have this form field set up where I want people to type in 4 digits coupon number. I want them to be able to fill as many or as few boxes as they like.In other words, if they want to fill one box, fine. If they want to fill 3 boxes, fine. If they want to fill 5 boxes, is also fine.  In each box, I want Numerical value only  4 digits only  The first of the 4 digits has to be 7 or 8The last bullet point is where I struggle with.  I tried match regrex in the custom validation, which works fine on its own. But not when they type in more than one box. For example, people were still able to type 7555 in the first box and 1234 in the second box… I did played around with the AND OR if clause, but nothing seem to work… Again, I want them to be able to fill as many or as few boxes as they like.  I tried calling Qualtrics, but seems that solution lies in JavaScript. I’m looking to validate times entered within a loop and merge block with each loop (so if it passes on one loop, it can still fail later and ask to adjust times). Collecting times from a drop down matrix table with a ‘start’ and ‘end’ time. I’ve also created recodes to turn all the times into base 10 (9:00 am = 9, 1:30 pm = 13.5, etc). I can get the first loop to validate correctly with this: The comparison value is the piped recode value of the “end time” drop down. But then if I try to add conditions for the other loops, the validation doesn’t work. I’ve tried both new logic sets and integrated logic sets.Separate LogicIntegrated Logic Thanks!Val

Does anyone have custom CSS to reduce the size of the feedback tab? I receive a lot of feedback from respondents saying the feedback tab covers the information people are trying to access. Id like to reduce the size of the tab to mitigate this from happening.  

Hi there!I am using a multiple choice question, in which each answer option is an image. Multiple images can be selected.Now in the next question (which can either be in the same block, but I can also move it to a new block if needed), I would like to have a text entry question, and somehow display the pictures that a participant selected in the previous question. This can either be done in the text box of the text entry question, or I could also add an additional text/graphic question before that. Essentially I would like to say: You selected these pictures (show pictures). Can you please explain why?I can not use carry over for a text entry question apparently. I tried to use embedded data for this (following this approach ), adapted to my needs. This use to work, but now seems to be broken…I have a bunch  of images in Google Drive folders that I need to display in Qualtrics. I've been doing it by using the following code:<img src="https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=[Image ID]">where the Image ID comes from the location of the image in the google folder, e.g., https://drive.google.com/file/d/[Image ID]/ I don't know why it stopped working, but it did. The images are set to be publicly visible, and I don't know what else to check. Any ideas?      

I am embedding two separate youtube videos in my survey across two blocks. How can I record the number of times each video is played?

Hi I am seeking for a solution for making the survey without scrolling down. I used the dynamic theme, and the survey heigh sometime is shorter or longer according to the content. However, when the content is more then the height will excess one window range, then it need to be scroll down for checking the remain content. However, I would love to make sure my survey can be appeared within one window range.I have checked for this :  #SurveyEngineBody {-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;}  Then try to adjust 100% to 50%, but it doesn’t work for me. Could anyone give me some solutions or tips ?  

Title is pretty self explanatory.  just wondering how to make the arrows bigger on the mobile version of the survey. getting feedback it is too small.
