hi all!i have a survey which comprises of 22 blocks. i need email trigger for certain questions from several blocks. but the problem now is, if the survey is not completed, the email does not trigger. i am using workflow to send email)i need the trigger to be sent immediately when certain criteria is met e.g. suicide thoughts from a respondent. can anyone please shed some light on the process to make this work?thanks!

I have a survey that utilizes a drill down question to collect information and I would like to be able to filter the dashboard by those drill down results. However, when I try to add a drill down question as a filter it treats it as a number and doesn't pull the answer choices. Is this not possible?

For the past few weeks, whenever I go to clean my data set and delete bad responses, Qualtrics has taken a reallllly long time to process the request. Is there something going on behind the scenes that has caused this sudden slow down?

hi,Just found this NEW issue and thought I’d share it.  I have a form that is only “available” from 9 PM to 1:30 AM.  I want users that open the form during the day (between 1:30 AM and 9 PM) to see a message (text graphic question) that says it’s not available until 9 PM. SO, I used display logic after first capturing the time: ${date://CurrentTime/MT} in an embedded data field. When I compared it (we’ve been using it for a long time - years) I compared it using the following Display Logic:Display if CapturedTIME was greater than 1:30 and if CapturedTIME was less than or equal to 21:00.  But today we found that this no longer worked properly.  After some troubleshooting (the fun part), we found that the end time was working in comparison but NOT the start time (1:30).  Through trial and error we found that we have to add a leading zero to the hard-coded comparison value of 1:30.  So when we use display logic and compare to 01:30 it worked. Hope this helps others. 

I am following all of the directions for deleting survey responses: 1) go into Data & Analysis, 2) click on the box to the left of the data you wish to delete, and 3) click on the trash can. I get the wheel that says 1 request pending, and then eventually it stops, but the response I want deleted isn’t deleted, it’s still there. Any ideas on how to delete the unwanted responses and actually have them delete?Thanks,Tiffany

Hey all! I use a heatmap with several regions and a point is shown where the participant decides to click on (inside the heatmap).My question is now whether participants can also see the region border additional or instead of the dot? Thanks and best!

I’m looking to see if there is an easy way to have respondents to a survey select from a list of times (eg. 11:05AM-11:10AM, 11:10AM-11:15AM), and whenever one user submits with that answer, other users are unable to select that time, to prevent double booking.To explain it a bit better, if Respondent A selects 11:05AM-11:10AM, then any Respondent after Respondent A wouldn’t be able to choose 11:05AM-11:10AM.

Hey all,I am currently trying to move a contact list from one directory to another but repeatedly failed because of “ImportStatusCode” = 42.  What i’ve done is I exported the existing contact list as CSV from the old directory and tried to import it without changing anything in the CSV. When importing the CSV via “Add to contact list” and “Upload a file” I received the following information: When looking into the Report, all i receive is the following information: ImportStatus “failed”, ImportStatusCode “42”, ContactListContactStatus “Failed”, ContactListContactStatusCode “63I looked into the explanation of the status codes on the official website, but unfortunately this does not help much.  I tried the following to avoid the error without any success:disable identity resolution in Directory Settings exporting CSV without Contact statistics export TSV and import TSV I hope that someone might have an idea what i could try next. Thanks in advance! Kind regardsJannik

I am using carry forward selected answers for a person to answer chemicals handled out of chemicals available. I have embedded selected choices for chemicals handled and they are not displaying when piped in a summary. thoughts?

Hi Everyone,  I am having two issues that seem to be related. Firstly, some of my survey respondents cannot get into the survey after authenticating. They input their unique ID to authenticate, but then an error message appears that they cannot resume their session (even with “allow respondents to finish later” enabled).  When these responses appear in “Responses in Progress” it shows that the last question they interacted with is either blank, for those who could not get past the authenticator screen, or “Authenticator” for those who could authenticate, but then were greeted with the error message.  Additionally, when some respondents have successfully authenticated and completed the survey, Qualtrics is not moving these responses from “Responses in Progress” to “Recorded Responses”, even after allowing for time for data to update.  So---this leaves me to wonder if the responses in my “Responses in Progress” that show 0% progress and that the last question someone interacted with is t

Hi everyone,I wanted to send an email to the participant during the survey with the following requirements.1) It should be sent when a certain button on a certain page is pressed - I know this can be done by setting a condition in the email trigger.2) In the email content, I would need to include a variable, whose value depends on the progress of the survey. Therefore, I assume it should be an embedded data. I was wondering if this is possible.Thank you in advance for the help!

Dear XM Community,When I was setting up Text iQ on my dashboard, I noticed that incomplete survey responses were also included in the analysis. I would very much appreciate it if anyone could advise me how to filter only completed responses (Survey Metadata “Finished = Yes”) to be analyzed. Thank you for your help in advance.Miho

Hi everyone, I did some searching on here and could not find a case that resembled what i am trying to build. I am building a survey and need to ask supplementary questions to the options choses in the question. Here is how it will look like:  Q1. multiple choiceOption 1 Qa.  Multiple choice Qb.  Open text Qc. Multiple choice Option 2  Qa.  Multiple choice Qb.  Open text Qc. Multiple choice Option 3 etc. ect. there will be about 4 more optionsDoes anyone have any suggestions on what functions to use to build this out as ideally I would like this to show up on the same page and not brunch out separately to avoid confusion and the supplementary questions to pop up only if the option is selected. Thank you!

Hello,  When I pull up the report for my survey, it says that I have 37 responses to a question that was a text box response (What is the zip code of your organization?), however, only about 20 responses are showing. Could that be because some participants put the same zip code that another participant listed? I need to be able read all responses so that if there is more than one participant in a zip code I can make note of that. Any ideas? Thanks,Tiffany

Hi there,I am creating a follow-up survey to send to participants following an initial survey (data collection in progress).I will be linking the responses to the two surveys using a responseID, linked to email addresses. The first survey has an anonymous distribution, email addresses were collected from those that opted-in to the follow-up. I am planning on using personal links for the follow-up distribution.I have created a directory list for the follow-up survey including email address, responseID and some embedded data fields.I want to be able to use this embedded data to populate some of the text/graphic fields in the survey.E.g., “In the last survey you reported you were working in (EMBEDDED DATA) industry, as a (EMBEDDED DATA) and had been working there for (EMBEDDED DATA) years.”I’ve added the embedded data fields before the questions in the survey flow:and I’ve tried to then insert embedded data using the piped text option in a text/graphic question e.g.,:But it just comes up

Hey community, The primary color for all questions can be adjusted in “Look & Feel”.Now I am wondering how to change the primary color only for one specific question. I am using a heatmap and want to change the color of the point appearing when clicking. This works nicely when changing the color in “Look & Feel”, but then for all questions… Any help is highly appreciated!

I am trying to make it where if the person taking the survey answers question 6 (which is an optional multiple choice question), then question 7 becomes mandatory to answer (text entry question). I do not want to just make question 7 a forced response. I have tried a few different times at validations, with no luck. If anyone knows how to do this, your help would be greatly appreciated. 

We want to validate the student’s id prior to taking the survey but store a corresponding id.The student id is not the unique key to their record, but it is used for all kinds of student rosters, etc. so it’s easy to find someone if you had their “public” student id. But the actual record_id is something different, that no one would know, only the database administrator. So we’d like to validate the student id but record the record_id. So if you looked at the data in qualtrics, you wouldn’t be able to identify the person, unless you were the database administrator and looked up their student_id based on record_id. This is a means of making the survey not 100% anonymous, but it’s a strong measure to make it basically impossible to identify the respondent, with appropriate language at the beginning of the survey. So like thisStudent_id      Record_id-----------------       ----------------241234            87439The respondent enters 241234 and it’s validated but 87439 is recorded in Qual

Hi All,I’m getting this error in a email distributed as well as in preview links. I have checked all response collection settings and found no issue. The survey was working fine and and around 3k responses have been collected. This started happening from yesterday. Can anyone advice what could be the cause. Hi everyone!  Our team is planning to rollout a weekly survey which ask respondents about their availability. One of the questions will ask the respondents to choose the day that they are available. Since we are sending out on a weekly basis, is there a way to make the choices dynamic?  for example, the choices for this week is 22nd to 28 April. Then next week the choices will automatically change to 29 April to 5 May.  else we will need to change it every week and it will be quite manual :( 

Hi. I am trying to set a quota so that only one person can sign up for an appointment however, when I go to set a quota I cannot ‘add quota’. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
