Spacing for translated matrix question

In my survey, I have a few matrix questions. For translated languages, there is a scrolling bar that is appearing to scroll from left to right. For the english version, there is no scrolling bar.It is because a few translated words are long. For example 'extremely' becomes 'Extremamente'. I would like to fit the matrix question so that there no no scrolling (from left to right).Could you please help me? thanks.

Identifying which network distributed a survey for me

Hi, I want to distribute a survey via a number of networks (it will be about 20 different networks). I don't need to identify respondents but I do need to identify which network recruited them, as for some of the networks there are incentive payments to assist with recruitment, dependent on how many people answer the survey from their messages. Some networks might recruit only a handful of people and some up to a hundred or so. Mostly they will each be posting the link in a newsletter rather than doing any sort of mailmerge, but even if they use a mailmerge I will never get their distribution lists. I feel this kind of tracking must be possible with the qualtrics functionaility but I can't work out how to do it? Any help with this greatly appreciated.

Capture Full URL from Survey completed on iPad or through an app

Hello,I've used the Referrer to capture the URL from which a survey was completed. It seems to work just fine when the survey is completed on a computer browser; however, it does not give me the same information when a user completes the survey from an iPad browser or from an app. Any thoughts on how I can more consistently get this data from the survey completion? Is there something I can program somehow?Adding an image. You can see that the Referer only captures the URL root in examples 1 and 2. These were completed on mobile devices. In example 3, completed on a laptop, the full URL is produced. Q_URL does not work as it only produces the URL for the survey itself. I'm trying to get the survey completed on the mobile device to produce the full URL either by using Referer (unlikely) or by somehow adding code to the survey to produce the full URL.Thank you,Amanda

Qualtrics for annotation of text data

Hi everyone,Qualtrics noob here, so I may be asking an obvious question. I appreciate your help.I'm trying to use a Qualtrics survey for manual annotation of text data. That is, rather than trying to get the participants' opinions or demographic attributes, the survey should show them a passage of text and prompt them to answer some questions about it. I've written a toy survey with the appropriate questions and answer choices, and realized I can put the questions in a block and "loop and merge" to get one survey session to handle multiple pieces of text.What I can't figure out is how to pipe the texts into the survey. In fact, I can't figure out where in the Qualtrics data model to store them. The texts aren't an attribute of the user (so an "embedded data" field doesn't seem to fit) and they need to exist before the responses do (so a "custom field" doesn't look right either). There are thousands of pieces of text with multiple human annotators, so I can't easily embed one block per

I am also trying to set a "target" of the link in order to enable displaying it in the same page. However, it still doesn't work. Anyone can help me for this issue? Query string elements in an encrypted URL

Hello, In an email that I send to customers, I try to pass parameters in the link of my survey with query strings. I have noticed for some that the passed parameter looks encrypted when I retrieve it as embedded data.For example for an e-mail : RrGTT-UjVI@QwOkokSSlet.cRHow to guard against this?

Link Expiration - Next Steps

Hey all! The timeline for our survey has changed to allow the collection of more responses. Our close date goes beyond the link expiration I've set for our distribution list. Need to show Ratings in the same order the Blocks are presented

I'm new to qualtrics and I need to show the ratings in the same order that the blocks are shown. e.g. if Social block is first then show Social rating first etc. (Totals to 6 conditions)But I'm unsure how to do this in a way that will keep my data tidy, since creating a new block for each condition left me with 6 versions of the same question and would make analyzing it complicated....Thanks!!

Why submitted responses are not showing up in Qualtrics reports?

Dear communityI am currently gathering survey responses in one company, and the Qualtrics CSV data export showed ~10% participation rate from some functions. Yet, talking to the company contact point, he said that they had internally confirmed >70% participation rate in those functions; all who had completed the survey have reached the final Thank-You/Confirmation page. I have delved into all responses started, in progress, finished, and recorded. The number of responses collected remained ~10% of the population. What is the problem here? Why Qualtrics doesn't display those submitted responses? Thank you!

Specific survey flow question

I am working on my survey which includes 2 recipes, and each recipe has 7 different experimental conditions. Participants are randomly placed in one of the 7 conditions for the first recipe. For the 2dn recipe, they should be placed in the same condition as for the first recipe. How do I do that? so: participant is placed randomly in condition 2 for recipe 1 and should be placed in condition 2 for recipe 2 Any help would be appreciated!

Displaying an unique code in the End of Survey message

We would like to offer incentive to people who completed a survey by giving out a 'coupon' code to be displayed in the End of Survey message. These code are unique and can only be used once.For surveys distributed by e-mail, we can pre-populate these unique codes when we upload the contact list as a specialized field.I'm not sure how to do it for anonymous link/QR codes. Ideally, I would upload the list of unique coupon codes and the 'end of survey' message mechanism can pick a code from the list and display.Is it possible?

Linking separate surveys so that an ID is carried forward

I am trying to link together a series of separate surveys in such a way that an identifying variable will be carried forward so that data from the separate surveys can be linked to the same participant. Participants are children so it is not appropriate to ask them to remember their own ID and re-enter it in each survey.The reason I am using separate but linked surveys is that I have some questions with a specific response format requiring custom CSS code, which have to go in their own separate survey, so far as I understand.Any help would be gratefully appreciated!

how to use identifiers with repeated questions?

I have created a survey where seven questions follow an image. I repeat this for 48 images. I copied the set of questions to the library, imported them for each block, and manually added the picture. Now that I am looking at the data, it is impossible to identify the answer to the question related to which image since I imposed randomisation. I thought of giving each question a unique ID related to the picture, but that seems tedious. I looked at loop & merge, but that seems different from what I am doing.Is there a way where I can identify which image these questions are related to?

Scoring individual branches or groups of questions

Forgive me if this is a bit of an obvious answer.I am conducting a survey of participants who are asked what size organisation they work for as part of the background question sections. I have created individual branches (all with the same questions in) depending on what size organisation is picked. Can I score each individual branch separately to see if a trend of scoring correlates with participants who work for companies of certain sizes?Thanks in advance

Trying to make my first Qualtrics survey

Hello,I am fairly new to designing a qualtrics survey. I am a graphic designer and my coding skills are at an amateur level. I belong to a car club and I was recently voted on as director. Ever year we hold a car show that the winners are voted by peoples choice. Typically we have a ballot and do everything by hand, but I would like to switch this over to some sort of online survey so people can vote from their phones. We typically have around 50 cars and the people vote for their 10 favorite. Each car gets numbered to make counting the ballots easy. What is the best way to make a Qualtrics survey that has 10 slots that people can submit a numerical value but no answers can be the same? Thank you in advance!

Can I access all recorded responses?

Hi all, I am having issues with the recorded responses to my survey. It seems that Qualtrics is not recording all the responses to my survey. Whenever participants complete it, all the questions are presented, but when I download the data file a bunch of responses is missing. I ran a previous study with Qualtrics similar to the one I am running now and had no problem with the recorded responses. It was only recently that this issue appeared. I was wondering if there is a different way to download the complete data file, to verify that all the responses are recorded. Or if there is a way to fix this. Thank you in advance. Fabiana

How to auto fill the date question?

My survey contains several blocks. Each block has a date question. So once the responser fill in the date in the first block, there is no need to type the date again and again. How to auto fill in the second, third, etc date questions? And the fill-in content should be the answer of the first date question.

Randomization within blocks

Hi everyone,a noobie here. Will try to break down what I am doingI have 4 blocks for my survey that I need to randomise blocks, so that each of them gets distributed around equally.Within the blocks I have a part that I would like to have randomized and a part that I would like to keep stationary, all with page breaks.If I try to randomize the first section of the block, I lose the page breaks, and the entire survey ends up being on one page. If I break everything into blocks, well then I am having a problem in distributing the entire blocks to people equally.My question being, is there a way for me to randomize one part of the block, and also, by doing so, keep my page breaks?Thank you for your answers! Is it possible to carry forward choices as text only?

Hi all, I am working on a survey which begins by asking customers which competitor brands they have used recently. We typically display these with logos in columns as it makes it easier for respondents to pick out brands quickly.We then ask a question regarding competitor use frequency which carries forward these choices into a matrix table question.Is there a way to carry forward these choices while including only the text, and not the logos, in the matrix question? Currently, the question is very not-mobile friendly and we are looking for a way to fix this.Thanks!R

Qualtrics and Canvas?

Has anyone connected Qualtrics and Canvas successfully? If so - how? What are you doing with it? Was your solution easy to set up or did it require a lot of support from IT?We are looking in to connecting Qualtrics and Canvas to be able to control access and pass name/email between the two applications. It's a pretty simple use case, overall, but we don't know how to connect them.Searching this forum, it seems all existing discussions are years old, homebrew code, or posted by the folks that created the branded Drieam integration (which possibly is fantastic but I can't find any discussion one way or another).Any information anyone can share would be really helpful.
