Anyone used a copyrighted survey

I am going to purchase a copyrighted survey for critical thinking for a research study. I would like to have the subjects click on the QUaltrics link, electronically agree to the consent, then click on the HSRT link. After completing the survey, subjects would be directed to a custom end of survey where they can volunteer to register for prizes for completing the survey. Will this work? Any better ideas?

Editing sender after finishing survey

After I tested my survey, I received an email as I set that up. However, I saw that the sender is set as "Dankwoord na antwoord op enquête". I know I typed this somewhere, but I do not know how to get to this option anymore. Does anyone know where I can edit this?

How do I display a different end of survey message for those who fail to authenticate?

Right now I have a few end of survey messages in my survey:When a respondent authenticates successfully and completes the survey, they get a custom end of survey message saying that their responses will be emailed to them.When respondent answers "No" to a question using embedded demographic data, they get an end of survey message saying they need to email for help before trying to complete the survey again. Then they are redirected to the beginning of the survey. This is shown on the screenshot, where it directs the respondent to the incorrect survey block and ends the survey.I am using an authenticator. If the respondent types the wrong authentication three time, the survey ends. When that happens, they get the regular end of survey message that says a copy of their responses will be emailed to them. I need to have a different end of survey message for those who fail the authenticator. Any ideas how to do this?A screenshot of my survey flow is attached if that helps.

Deleting a survey response

Hi,I've got a survey in the field currently, through a mistake, someone internal took and completed the survey that had a link for a specific respondent. If I delete the response, will the person it was intended for still be able to take the survey?Thanks!

How can I import data from a previous survey to the same survey, different iteration?

We want to show the participant what their previous response was to the same questions. Basically, we want to use the same survey. The participant will complete the survey for the first time and be shown their response scores. The participant will then complete the survey for the second time a few months later. After completion (the second time), we would like to give participants a graph that shows their previous response and their current response. Is this doable or do I need to replicate this survey into a "second survey?"

Group Sign Up

Hi, we are a clinical mental health counseling center, and we are trying to create groups for our clients. We would like the clients to be able to sign up for they would like to join in the above survey , but we only want 10 people to be able to sign up for each group. Is there a way to do this in qualtrics? Thanks

Personal links - Survey started but not appearing as in progress?

Hi,I'm experiencing an issue across all of my surveys where the personal links I generate appear to have been started, but they're not currently in progress. If they've been started, but they're not in progress, and haven't been submitted, what is the current state of that user? Will they definitely still be able to use the link that they were originally sent?Many thanks,Dan

How can I pipe statement attributes into default choices on matrix tables?

I need to show publicly available market values next to a column of estimated values provided by survey respondents. However, there appears to be no way to capture and store such statement attributes or to pipe them into a matrix table as default values (for read-only reference purposes). Is it only possible to store and pipe respondent attributes as "embedded data"? I would like to do the same for statement/choice attributes collected and stored before the survey is launched to help inform respondents about what statements/items they are evaluating. I thought that this would be a fairly common survey scenario.

How to stop a person who has received retake link from answering on Anonymous link

I am distributing the survey using the anonymous link and when the file uploaded by the respondent is incorrect a ticket is generated and an email is sent with the retake link to reupload the file. But just in case the person misinterprets it and still uses the anonymous link to reupload the file the whole data is updated for the respondent and on the dashboard, the respondent appears under verified as well as not verified widget. Is there a way to identify who has received the retake link and stop a person who has received the retake link from answering on the Anonymous link?Thank you in advance :)

Extra option to answer appearing despite no question - no option to delete?

Hi I was hoping someone might be able to help with my query.I have made several blocks using the matrix option. In a couple of them, for some reason an extra option to answer has appeared despite there being no item to the left of it (screenshot below - I have covered the items with a blue square as they are from a specific questionnaire). I cannot seem to delete this, as there is nothing to click on on the left. Normally you can click on a specific item and remove it, and the option to answer is removed. If anyone could advise on how to correct this that would be great.

Multiple Translation

Hi all, I am very new to qualtrics and I am a bit confused with regards to making my survey available in multiple languages. The default language will be in English and then it will be available in 23 languages. We are going to get the survey translated by a third party. Now my question is as follows (please excuse for my limited knowledge):What is the best way to go about with this process? Should I first build the survey on qualtrics and then download that file and submit it to the translation agency? Which file format will be best to perform this process? Any other guidance or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you all for your time.

Creating several possible survey flows for one survey

Hello,I'm currently working on a survey that should have 4 possible orders for presenting the different items and questions. I have already inserted all the items into the survey and created 1 survey flow, but I don't know if it's possible to create 3 more options for survey flows, each presenting items and assignments in a slightly different order. Also, if this is possible, then is it possible to make it so that 1 survey flow is chosen randomly for each new subject?Thanks in advance!

Hyperlink in Choice Text of Multiple Choice Question Not Working

The Rich Content Editor is available to add a hyperlink to the text of choices for the "Multiple Choice" question type, but it does not seem to work. I have set Format = "List" and Answer type = "Allow multiple answers", so please try to replicate this to let me know what I am doing wrong, or if this is a bug. Below is the HTML text that was generated for the choice linked to the anchor word "FreshWorks" (with a target = "New Window"), and the syntax looks correct:https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/freshworks" target="_blank">FreshWorksThis does not work in either Edit mode or Preview mode. Oddly, I included the exact same "Freshworks" anchor word and hyperlink syntax in the related Multiple Choice question text (as opposed to one of the choices), and it worked in Edit mode but failed in Preview mode. I could understand why it might not work in Edit mode but instead work in Preview mode, but the reality was the exact opposite. This inconsistency seems like buggy behavior.I also tr

Email

We automatically upload customer's email addresses daily for survey distribution. There are customers that we wish not to survey. Is there a way to put these addresses into Qualtrics so that they are flagged not to send should they be loaded in our automatic process?

Can you bucket "combined data"?

We are new to the platform. I have created a "new variable" to combine data (ex. Yrs of Svc and Yrs_of_Svc) since the two groups of data reflect the same info when adding historical to new survey data. However, now I want to "bucket" this info (ex. 2-5 yrs, 6-10 yrs, etc.). When I go through the steps to "create new variable" and select the field I want to bucket, the combined field I just created or other previously created variables are not present in the list to pull from (only embedded data fields are listed). Is there another way to do this?

How can I set up a matrix like this?

I have two measures in my survey that need to be formatted as per the screenshot. I can't do it as a side-by-side since each row can only have one response and I'd rather not set it up by having a Likert matrix and labelling each option with "Statement 1" or "Statement 2" in order to avoid confusion. Any suggestions on how to set it up in Qualtrics as per the screenshot are helpful!

Tracking Country & City from IP Address for abandoned surveys

Hi Everyone,I want to track the country and city of my survey taker via the IP Address. I'm distributing the surveys via anonymous links. I want to particularly track the surveys which are abandoned. I have added the below embedded data in my survey flow at the start of the survey blocks. But its only tracking the IP address, but not the city and country. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing here? Or there is any other way to achieve this? I have not enabled the Anonymize Responses button for the survey.

How can I compare the value of an embedded data field to a question within the project?

I have an ID that I'm embedding (example 001472581) and I want to compare that value to what the project response is reporting. Can I convert the embedded to a number and compare it to the value being entered? I need to know that they are the same. Any suggestions appreciated.

Sending out customized reports of the survey (for teacher evaluations)

Hey everyone,So I have created a survey where teachers and students of different subjects/courses fill out an evaluation of a course. Now I want the course coordinator of the course to (preferably automatically) receive all answers of the students/teachers in a report. Am I using the correct video type?

Hi all,I want to upload videos directly to Qualtrics and not host them externally (on YouTube, Vimeo etc.).I was trying to upload a video and received the message:"The graphic file you have attempted to upload is not of a supported type."However, the video is .mp4 ("MPEG-4 movie" in "get info" menu on Macbook). The video is 2.5MB, so smaller than the 16MB maximum per file.Does anyone know what the issue could be?Thanks,Sam

Math operations and embedded data

HelloI am sure the answer to this is probably super simple, so allow me to make a fool of myself.I have an embedded data field called Total and this sums the scores of my questionnaire. I want to then average that e.g. ${(e://Field/Total)/55}At the end of the survey I am using piped text to provide participants with their score.I have searched the community and tried every permutation I can think of (with spaces, without spaces, with and without brackets and more..) and in testing the total score shows up in the dataset and the resulting email, but the calculated average does not.Glen
