Survey Platform

We have conducted a simple randomized experiment performed as a survey via Qualtrics. 751 participants. We need to download data to SPSS SAV format with numeric codes for all answers, but we are not able to do that. We manage to download a SAV file, but only in text format (appears as Notepad file) We follow a recipe BI Norway has added. When followed we do not get all the options listed there (page 1: "export with Legacy format" ) . Critical for us to get this downloaded in SAV with numeric coding.  Can anyone help? Suggestions?

Hi, I have a flow on one of my surveys set up to retreive embedded data fields from my diretory where the information in the directory embedded data fields is concatenated (xxx, yyy). I have set the Flow Embedded Data Field to be a Multi-value text set, but the embedded data field in the flow will only pull in the first value in the string of the Directory Embedded Data Field. It is only returning "XXX" and not "XXX, YYY". How can I set this up to return all values in the directory embedded data field and use them as a multi-value text set?TIA!

Hello. I need to create a survey where a respondent provides feedback on multiple people. I would like the first question to be a list where the respondent chooses who they want to provide feedback on. Once they answer a series of questions, I would like survey to loop back to the first question where they choose another person, provide answer the same feedback questions, loop back to the first question again, etc, etc. I think Table of Contents would be a perfect option here - unfortunately my company doesn't have access to this option. Is there any way to "fake" this look with other options? Thank you.

Hi all,I'd like participants to create their own unique ID where I ask them to list their 3-letter initials plus the last 4 digits of their cell phone number plus how many times they have filled out the survey (they can fill it out multiple times). Therefore, a sample code would look like: ABC12341.How can I set custom validation such that the first 3 entries are letters and the last 5 entries are numbers?

Hello!I am a Qubie - not very familiar with JS. I have a CSV with two columns: identifier & value. Based on some question's answers I generate the identifier. Now I want to look in the CSV to get the corresponding value for further calculations.identifier, valuexb39, 1100xc20,1200xd27,900How can I (1) get the CSV loaded and (2) get the value which matches the identifier of the respondent? The CSV is uploaded in the Qualtrics library. The corresponding value will be used as piped text (embedded data) in the following questions. Thanks in advance for any help :)

I have a survey set up so that when the user inputs a "0" in a Form Field, it triggers certain follow-up questions to be hidden. If they input a number higher than zero, it requires them to complete the follow-up questions. What I dislike about this solution is that on the dashboard side of things, for the follow-up questions that were hidden, it shows "N/A", and I would prefer that have a "0" instead. Is there a way to carry foward only the "0" responses so that I don't have "N/A"? I don't want to set a default answer on these questions because I'm worried that the user will pass them over. Please advise!

Dear all,I am setting up a multi-country study and would like to apply quotas for each market individually.I created a quota group for the first market and would now simply like to duplicate this group for the other markets but couldn't find an option to do so.Can anyone advise whether this is possible?Thank you!

Let's say I have the following question:What's your favorite fruit?a. Appleb. Bananac. CherryI share the survey and get responses. But I update the 'Cherry' answer choice to the following:What's your favorite fruit?a. Appleb. Bananac. MelonDo all previous responses of 'Cherry' stay? Or do they get updated to Melon? Does it matter if I edit and update that Cherry choice? Should I instead delete that option and instead create a new option that says 'Melon'?

Hi Guys, Thanks in advance for your help. We have done a fair amount of branding work over the past two years and eager to obtain consumer feedback on our catalog and website....is it reinforcing our brand attributes / descriptors? We have a target profile of a consumer base that Qualtrics helps us find so that we can get feedback from consumers who are our target. For our catalog, would you recommend providing a link and then let survey takers browse it...maybe with a task of looking for something and adding in a time minimum and max? Or would you just think it would be easter to provide jpegs of catalog pages?Similar question for our website feedback....would you provide a link to our site and let them browse or provide screen shots for them to comment on....ThanksPete

Is there a way to see on the average number of questions each respondent received?

Hello,I have a question where I list all the dates of a calendar month. I need when participants select a date the next set of questions to appear on the spot for that particular date. Then they need to be directed back to the calendar and select another date if necessary to complete the next set of questions for the date and so on.At the moment, participants select all the necessary dates from the calendar month and the set of questions appears afterward for each selected date. But if for example, participants select 5 dates by the time they complete the next set of questions they might have forgotten which date they refer to. Any thoughts?

REPOSTHi, I'm reposting a question I had from July 7th which hasn't been answered in the hope that someone sees it this time around, I hope that's ok:----------------Hi,I'm doing a study that involves a great many loops over a great many blocks. Long story short, when I download data, there's a great many columns. I'm using the timer question, but I only really need the last click or the page submit metric. Unfortunately with the structure of the study, having the extra 3 metrics actually means 60,000 additional columns which I really don't care about. Is there a way to pick and choose which timer metrics to include? Thanks in advance,Casper----------------

I have 2 lists list of open end responses coming from 2 different experimental conditions (1 list per condition). This is the data I a have collected in part 1 of my experiment. For part 2, I would like to draw one response from each condition (each list), present these two responses to a participant simultaneously and have them select the one they prefer more. The idea is to show that the responses from one condition are more prefered by the evaluatiors (respondents in part 2 of the study), than those in another condition. So the final data would be wide format. For every participant of part 2 and column for messageX from condition 1 would indicate 0 if the message was presented but not selected, 1 if the the messageX was presented and selected, and no value if message X was not presented for this participant. Ideally, I would like to show each participant a few pairs like that. I guess loop&merge should help me solve this issue, but so far i have not figured out how to do that. Is t

I am recruiting participants from Prolific Academic (similar to MTurk) and I need to be able to assign each participant with a 2nd specific participant ID code. The first participant ID number will be automatically provided through the Prolific website, which will be necessary so I can pay the participants. The second, non-prolific ID number is required so the participants can complete a task on a different platform in the middle of the study. This non-qualtrics platform will only allow participants to enter ID numbers that I have already added previously as a "possible ID number". Therefore, I need to retain the original prolific ID number and assign nonrandom ID #s. Thanks for your help.

Our security office has issues only asking for one identifier to access a secure survey. Is there a way to include multiple fields to an authenticator? If not any suggestions to do it programmatically?Thank you!

Hi all, Could I please ask your advice on the following issue: I need to combine 2 different individual/personal links (to 2 separate surveys) in 1 email invite to a contact list (235 contacts). Is this possible? Thanks in advance!

Greetings,We have a parent consent form we will distribute to multiple schools (60+). We would like to customize the form for each school so that the name of the school appears in the survey (parents will be asked to confirm their child is enrolled in that school) and the parent can select from a drop menu their child's classroom name/teacher name. Because there will be so many classrooms, we want to narrow down the choices available to the respondent to just those classrooms in their child's school. We would like to avoid having parents type in the names themselves because we find that different people call the same school slightly different names, so we want to cut down on data clean-up time. We've never done anything this complex in Qualtrics and are hoping that there are some solutions other than creating 60+ different surveys. I'm wondering how others have approached similar designs and if anyone has recommendations for what we should look into further. Many thanks!

Summary:As an admin user, I'd like to be able to access a list of all upcoming / scheduled email distributions for all active surveys in my account, so I am aware of all emails my organization is sending.Details:Current Problem: At any given time, our organization has many active surveys open, and many email distributions sending at various times. Sometimes a user schedules a distribution that other team members aren't aware of; this leads to "surprise" messages that we forgot we scheduled, or confusion when multiple surveys are sending messages at the same time. Sometimes a team member is out of the office and the rest of the team isn't aware an email distribution will be sent.Current Solution: We manage this right now by manually creating events on a Shared Outlook calendar, so the whole team knows when upcoming survey invitations and reminders are scheduled to go out. This relies on the survey administrator to manually input the data correctly, and remember to change the Outlook inv

I'm having two issues, both stemming from the idea of bringing forward answer choices to next questions. Participants are asked to enter in a list of items. For the next question, they will see a table in which their answers from the previous questions are the headings of columns, and on the rows are categories. They are asked to categorize the items from their previous responses. So it needs to be the amount of columns = answers they gave, and the text needs to auto populate from their answer.Participants are asked to enter in a list of items. Then there are 5 questions that are asked per item. So if they enter items A, B and C, it will be 5 questions that ask specifically about A (I want it to be entered in the question text, such as "What do you like about [item A]?) and then the 5 questions need to repeat for B and C in the same way.

We sent out our survey back on May 23rd, and at the time, we didn't know how long the survey would be needed. So, the individual survey links were set to expire in 60 days. We already sent one reminder back in June. But now, when I try to send another reminder, I get Error EQD15 because the individual link expired. Is there any way around this? We need to send a final reminder to get every last response we can before the customer wants to close the survey.Maybe somehow create another contact list from the unfinished respondents and send out a new distribution that looks like a reminder?

Hi, I'm hoping this question is somewhere on the platform, but can't seem to find it. Here's my case: I want respondents to answer only 2 of 6 potential 'blocks' to keep the survey from getting unwieldy. Assume that there is earlier logic that not all respondents can answer all 6 blocks, so some of these blocks will more naturally collect more 'n.' I want respondents to be routed to the 2 blocks with the lowest 'n' from recorded survey responses. My struggle is quotas seem to compare against an absolute 'n,' and not relative n.Thoughts? Thank you!

I am using the first part of my survey as an information letter and an informed consent. Several questions include a long introductory tekst, which needs to be there, but could better be hidden or shortened with a 'read more' button. When the participant klicks on this button the rest of the tekst appears. Is that possible?

Hello, We are setting a survey that controls for the Amazon ID. However, we have some filter questions and from past experiences we noticed some people tries the survey several times modifying their answers from the filter questions to remain in the survey. So, in this case, if we asked inmediately at the begining for their Amazon ID (and in each trial is has to be the same), is there a way that we can identify a person who is re-trying the survey and inmediately lead them to the exit? I tried with the Authenticator fuction but it only works for complete surveys, and people who are asked to leave the survey because they do not match the sample are not registered as complete surveys, so the authenticator function does not work. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance!

Hi there,I have generated 12 similar scenarios and would like each participant to randomly answer 3 of them. I put them in 12 groups under the randomizer and selected to randomly display 3 of them. I have set an embedded data for each group to record the displayed scenarios. However, the system only recorded the first displayed scenario. I would like the system to record all displayed scenarios, is there a way to achieve this? Thanks a lot.
