HelloI am sure the answer to this is probably super simple, so allow me to make a fool of myself.I have an embedded data field called Total and this sums the scores of my questionnaire. I want to then average that e.g. ${(e://Field/Total)/55}At the end of the survey I am using piped text to provide participants with their score.I have searched the community and tried every permutation I can think of (with spaces, without spaces, with and without brackets and more..) and in testing the total score shows up in the dataset and the resulting email, but the calculated average does not.Glen

I created a survery requesting users to enter a test date. Based on user responses, is there a way to filter my report to only show records where dates are within 14 days from today? I tried exploring different kind of filters but nothing seems to be able to calculate based on dates. Any recommendations?

Hey there - Okay, so I have a matrix table that is constant sum. The total of the entire table (not just an individual row/column) needs to equal a value that the respondent gave earlier. I'd like to include some validation in the survey to make sure the values are equal, but it doesn't seem qualtrics has this included easily.What I've come up with so far is(1)Add a text/graphic question after the matrix table and have it calculate the sum of each cell in the matrix table using piped text - e${{option 1}+option 2...(2) Have an error message pop up if this equation does NOT equal the earlier provided value. (Again, piped text).My problem here is that the equation can't appear to be executed in page, unless I'm missing something. It says invalid expression if it's on the same page, but works fine if it's on the next page. This means I have to have an awkward page break and the error message on a second page. That's a bit harder for them to edit

I have a survey with two methods of entry: an e-mail distribution and survey authenticator (Pin#). All participants who were e-mailed received their Pin# via a mailed reminder letter. For our weekly reports to the client, we need to send the number of participants contacted via e-mail, the number of completed surveys, and the number of in progress surveys. Besides downloading the completed survey responses and the in progress survey responses separately, is there a way to get all of this information in one report or download?Thanks in advance!

Howdy! It is possible to carry forward the answer to q1, which is a number, to be the "must total" sum of a subsequent matrix table-constant sum question? Does that make sense?Looking to collect a dollar amount in q1 and then have the dollar amount from q1 to be distributed across scale points for q2.Thank you for reading!

I have added the following response requirements to the question above. The first one is "Force response" and the second one is a custom validation requirement that restricts responses to be greater than 0, as shown below:I have to note here that the two options depicted in the first picture above is the result of a display logic statement where a respondent selected, in this case, 2 out of 6 options. What am I doing wrong with my custom validation requirement and I get that invalid error message (i.e. the value must be greater than 0) when indeed both responses are greater than 0?Thank you in advance for your help.Teo

I need two columns to present some information and I rather not have a table, is it possible?

I have a multiple choice question with choices, however I require the person completing this question to be only able to select 3 of them. The question says, "Choose three names below".Can you limit the amount of choices selected in a multiple choice question? Obviously you can make it a "single answer" multiple choice question but what I need is more like a "triple answer" multiple choice question.Any suggestions would be really appreciated

Example: I have 4 drop downs: The name of a personyes or no questionyes or no questionyes or no question When I select the name of a person for example: "Sandy Cheeks" I would like questions 2-4 to only have specific drop-down options for Sandy Cheeks (Sandy Cheeks will be "yes, no, yes" therefore 2-4 when I click on the drill down should only contain "yes, no, yes") but if I chose a different name like "Happy Gilmore" then their options would be available as "no, yes, yes" is this possible to do? I want to ensure different combination of options per the selected "name" will show depending on the name that is selected.

Hello, Does anyone know if some code can be written to configure the Partial Responses recording logic? I want responses that are < 2% complete to be deleted, and responses > 2% to be recorded after a week. Any suggestions? Thanks!

We're sending a single question for response via SMS - currently no matter how I set up the survey flow, it will always send the default end of survey message from Qualtrics. This leads to two issues - 1) it is using a message count when I don't actually want to send a response and 2) prevents me from doing anything after the survey response is received (add using to a contact list, redirect to a URL, etc). Not sure if I am setting something up wrong or if I am looking for a functionality, but would love to get some assistance using SMS within Qualtrics.

When I try to add piped text into the new field to do the calculation, it just shows the numbers, it does not sum. Is there a way to get the sum of the numbers from the question above it?EMERGENCY!!!

Hello! I want to launch a survey to get responses to 124 scale questions. So, I'm using several matrix questions. Thing is, the text of each question "wraps" at different places on different computers. See the below examples. Computer A:Computer B: You can see the second image shows the question text wrapping more frequently, so the questions seem bunched up and hard to read. Is there anyway to guarantee that people will see the questions as indicated in the first image? Qualtrics support told me this was an HTML question. Thanks!Sunaina

I have survey of 18 questions rated on 5-likert in 3 categories, which are not apparent to the respondant during the survey. The total are only relevent for each category, not in total. I want to provide a total score for each category to the resondant at the end of their survey. I read the scoring and category directions, and cant figure it out. suggestions?

Hello, I am wondering if there is a way to monitor all exports of a particular survey in order to reduce the chances of a data breach. I realize that a download history is created, but the history can be edited (e.g., deleted) by the person exporting the data. I am creating a survey to enter in data that was done on paper (Basically I will be submitting responses for all of the participants). On the paper survey, we have two identifying questions that will allow us to track changes from one survey to the next. Because I am entering in the responses I won't be able to use email or IP Addresses to identify each respondent. How would I set up a survey to enter the identifying questions and use them to track changes? I am using a pre/post survey format in my study.
