Real-time monitoring of completion status

HiI have 10 interviewers conducting interviews with participants. Participants are asked to complete a survey on an iPad. Once the survey is completed, they receive a token of appreciation.However, there are occasions where the survey is incomplete due to various reasons, but participants may still claim that they have finished it. To avoid this, interviewers prefer to verify the completion status before handing out the token.While the "Survey Completed" message at the end helps, there's no way to confirm completion if the participant closes the browser tab. Additionally, the online shared report has limitations because it does not support filtering by Respondent ID, which makes it difficult to check individual completion statuses efficiently.I wish to seek some possible solutions from the community please as the interviewers do not have Qualtrics accounts but need to check the survey completion status in real time. Thank youBY

Response export automation, batched at end of the day

I want to send a file at the end of every day that contains all the completed survey responses. The issue is my IT department won’t allow for sftp so I need some out of the box solution. I know I can send individual emails in a workflow with the survey response, but I don’t want people to be getting emails all day long. Is there a way to “batch” send the emails (either send a bunch of individual emails at once, OR preferably have it contain all the responses from that day). I’ve also been thinking about making a data table on a dashboard or report and exporting it that way. Open to any ideas!

JSON payload sunset

Hi Community!Today I discovered that the JSON payload trigger functionality in Qualtrics is going to be deprecated. This means Qualtrics is phasing out this feature, and I will need to transition to alternative methods for triggering surveys and integrating with external systems. Which functionality do you recommend or find similar to the one I was using, where I created XMD contact and distributed surveys after receiving a JSON payload through a single API call?current distribution tree in a stand-alone workflowI need to replace the first step, as the message in that step is unclear and does not provide any guidance on what to do.Your guidance and help is much appreciated.

Embedded Data Not Pulling Into Display Logic

Hello, I added a field to my XM directory contact list called WellRive Branch. I then went into my data set and added this as a field and added it as embedded data to my survey. I am trying to add display logic based on the WellRive Branch but when I get to the value there is nothing there. What am I doing wrong?

Seemingly random linked survey error

I have two surveys, one for patients and one for doctors. The doctors fill out their survey after the patients and they are linked using a randomly generated ID in the patient survey. Once a patient completes the survey, the doctor is automatically emailed a link to their survey that contains the relevant login ID.Most of the time, the link works and automatically goes to the correct linked survey. Occasionally, there will be a “Unable to log in with the information provided” error. Currency display in text input with forced response and/or validation

I am trying to make a survey more user-friendly by having numbers users input show up as currency.Therefore, instead of 100000, it should appear U$ 100,000.Most of the solutions I have found or obtained can make the number change. However, they seem to struggle with Qualtrics internal validation/requirement mechanisms. JavaScript solutions that mask the number will end up having Qualtrics not recognize that the response has been entered. Likewise, number validations will not work even with masking.Does anyone have a solution that:Converts a raw typed number into currency; Lets Qualtrics recognize a response has been entered; Allows for validation (or at least only lets numbers be inputted) Starts from “,00”?

Mouse over/tool tip on question texts

I have found several threads on mouse overs, but most of them are +5 years old, so I’m wondering if the provided solutions are still uptodate or if anything has changed in the meantime. What I want to do is:I have question text. when hovering over certain phrases of the question text, I want a tool tip to appear. The solution needs to work on desktop as well as mobile devices. Ideally, I’m looking for a solution that’s as easy/low-code as possible.Currently, I’m using the following approach described here: https://servicehub.ucdavis.edu/servicehub?id=ucd_kb_article&sysparm_article=KB0006562&spa=1&sys_id=c52ef409db10a4d098c6ac1b139619e7 This works ok-ish, but I have to make myself familiar with CSS in order to tweak the visual appearance, so maybe there’s an easier solution? Thanks!

Can't correct respondent funnel and distribution data?

There seems to be a huge flaw in the functionality of the respondent funnel as there is no way to correct inaccurate data if there was mistake on the initial distribution data. This is means we have no way to create accurate dashboards that involve distribution data. I’m hoping someone can help as we use the response funnel data to create response rates which are very important to many our of survey clients. We accidentally left out an embedded data field in one of our contact upload and so it was missing from the distribution data when we did the send. Now we have no way of correcting is because Qualtrics says all distribution data is point in time and can’t be changed. But if the data exist in the back end of the platform in the respondent funnel data table then there has to be way to edit it. Has anyone had this issue and found any way to correct this?

Defining a variable for desktop vs. mobile participation

Hi! I want to track if participants took part in a survey with their mobile device / a tablet / a desktop computer. I know I can add a hidden question with browser meta info. However, this tracks the user agent and other stuff, but isn’t aggregated in the way described above. So my question is how can I aggregate such info to get this broader info? I know from other platforms (like Decipher) that they automatically probvide this aggregated info. Is this also available on Qualtrics or is there maybe a matching list of browser user agents to devices?

Advanced quotas based on sum of embedded data

I’m not sure if I’ve explained this as well as I could with the title … First we have our simple quota based on the country embedded data field, e.g. 50 respondents from UK (straightforward) But then in the survey we ask them about interactions with different groups: so 1 respondent might interact with X number of people from Y groups. So after completing the survey we might have: 1 UK responsethat covered3 people in Group A10 people in Group B2 people in Group C In addition to restricting UK responses to 50, can we also restrict UK-Group A to 80 people, UK-Group B to 150 people, etc (values are just for example)? So when a new survey session commences, I want to be able to check the complete dataset and see the current sum for the Group A embedded data field and check it is less than 80, and once it reaches 80 close the quota? And for extra complexity, can this work as a “least fill” ? Thanks!

Balanced within subject design

I’m trying to design a balanced within-subjects design using embedded data, but I’m struggling to make my design work.  Here’s a description of my study:IV1: Label type scenarios (Three labels: green, red, blue )  IV2: Target type scenarios (Nine targets: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I) Each target is paired with each label: so i have Target red A, blue A, green A.Here’s a description of what I want my design to look like: each participant should see all 9 targets each participant should see each target once only (e.g., the target is a square. if they see the red square, they shouldn’t see the green or blue square) each participant should see three “green label”, three “red label”, and three “blue label” scenarios. for example: a participants might see the scenarios in this order: green A, blue B, red C, green D,  blue E, red F, blue G, green H, red I. In this example, there are  3 greens, 3 blues, 3 reds, but each letter appears once.my current embedded data looks something like this:red_c

Hello!Supposed that I have a multiple answer question and carry over their selected answers in the next question. Among these choices, we must pick 5 categories at maximum. however, if one specific choice was selected it must always be selected then pick 4 random choices.Is there a way I could achieve this using qualtrics feature or Javascript?

Export matrix table responses to Google Sheets

Hello, I am attempting to send responses to a matrix table question to a Google Sheet using the Google Sheets workflow. When I export my survey responses, each matrix row appears in its own column as intended with the ImportID label. I am trying to replicate that format in the automated workflow.I have tried using many combinations of the following, most result in empty values or the question text instead:${q://QID/ChoiceGroup/SelectedAnswers}${q://QID/ChoiceGroup/SelectedAnswers/#}${q://ImportID/ChoiceGroup/SelectedAnswers}${q://ImportID/SelectedAnswers}I have also tried using SelectedChoices in place of SelectedAnswers.Apologies if I have missed a solution elsewhere, thank you!

Using side by side but validating the whole row as a single question

Hi, I have a side by side question set up where there are 2 columns (one with 4 multi-select options and one with a text entry). Is there a way to validate one row as if it’s a single question and force respondent to select/type a response? Like if a respondent selected any of the first 4 options, the respondent is not required to type anything in the text field and vice versa.

Importing Ticket Group Name to Survey Response

Hello,I am exploring the possibility to automatically import/update the ticket group name from a ticket back into the survey response as an embedded field.We currently have a workflow set up that creates a ticket for dissatisfied customers. For example, customer who gave a rating of 1, 2, 3, or 4. Once the ticket is created, a team will receive and assess the root causes of dissatisfaction and act accordingly. When the ticket is created, the given ticket group name is, for example, Detractor - Customer Service as instructed in Qualtrics. However, the team has the ability to reassign the ticket, for example, Detractor - Business Process, if the investigation deem so. We would like to import/embedded the ticket group name back into the survey response and analyze customer satisfaction with and without these “Detractor” categories.Any help or thoughts are greatly appreciated.

adding piped text in mouse overs/hovers

I have mouse overs /hovers in my survey in a) question texts and b) response options. Now, for some of these, the mouseover/tooltip text itself should be based on meta data of my particpants. E.g. assume I’m doing an engagement survey and participants’ metadata has a data field called “business_unit” that stores, well, the business unit of each employee. Now, I sometimes have question texts or response options like “How do you rate your business unit?” or “My business unit is XYZ”. Preview without logging in

Hey everyone!I need to do a pilot test of my survey for my research. I am aware that when I import into SPSS Qualtrics separates between the preview answers and the ones which occured post survey activation. As I want to just test some things on my survey and I have no room for deleting active responses afterwards, I need to distribute it on preview to a short number of people for them to try it. But as I generate a link, everyone needs to sign in or log in to try it. If you know anyway to counter this, I would deeply appreciate it!Thanks a lot.

Hiding the "powered by Qualtrics" button also on the "end survey" page

Thanks to some help here in the community I was able to hide the “powered by Qualtrics” button that usually appears on each survey page at the lower right corner. I’m using the following JS code on the first question in each of my survey blocks: Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnReady(function(){ /*Place your JavaScript here to run when the page is fully displayed*/ jQuery('#Plug').attr('style', 'display:none !important');});This works just fine. However, it unfortunately doesn’t work on the very last survey page, i.e. where the “end of survey” message appears because on that particular page there is no option to add JS code. Is there any other way I could hide that button?

Refreshing data in dashboard

I have created an XM dashboard from two mapped data sources. One of the widgets I created is pulling in inaccurate data due to incorrectly coded values on the survey. I recoded the values and re-published the survey but the data is still not pulling in correctly. There are no options to manually refresh the data dashboard that I can see. How can I update my widget to pull in the correctly recoded data?

Matrix - Carousel Font Settings

Hello,I want to set up a matrx table set in carousel, and carry forward statements selected from a previous question. But since the statements are “carried forward”, I am not sure how to adjust the font settings, such as bolding the statements or increasing the font size. Could anyone please share the CSS code to help with this?Thanks!
