Workflow to update EX Directory?

Hi,I would like to build a workflow,so that after an employee replied to a survey,a field on their employee data in the Employee Directory is updated.In the workflow builder, I can find (multiple) tasks to update fields in the CX Directory,but none of them seem to be able to connect to the EX Directory.Is there any way by which I can achieve this? Thanks,Joyca

Display random chosen text from a specified list in subsequent steps

I have a question for a survey I need to run. After some research I am still not completely sure how to achieve what I have set out to do.Here is what I want to do: I have ~30 (unique) text snippets (reviews). I want to display 3 (randomly chosen) of those 30 and then have the respondents fill out a multi item questionnaire. This should be done in subsequent steps instead of all on one page. Basically following this core logic:     Page 1: Text Snippet 1    Page 2: Questionnaire    Page 3: Text Snippet 2    Page 4: Questionnaire    Page 5: Text Snippet 3    Page 6: Questionnaire   What would be the best way to get this to work? Should I just create a block with 1 text element for each text snippet I have and then use the randomizer in survey flow? Or is there a better way? How can I make sure that not by chance the respondents get the same snippet displayed twice? The questionnaire is always the exact same scale - but of course, I need to link every answer to the text snippet for the a

Extracting Info from a Trigger Email?

Hi, A bit of a weird idea, but: I have a group of people take Survey A where they describe a friend and provide their email address. I then set up an email trigger to send that friend Survey B to fill out (I figured out that part just fine). I’m hoping to somehow get a common ID number in both files so I can link them. Right now, I created an embedded data field “ID” in Survey A. I then had the email trigger paste that ID number into the email to a friend with Survey B. Right now, I’m asking that friend to copy the ID number into Survey B before they take it.  However, I’d prefer to make the process smoother (and remove the potential for error). Is there a way for Survey B to automatically grab the embedded ID number from the email that was sent? Ideally, this could be pasted in the data file somewhere. I figured I could maybe try to put an embedded data in Survey B but, alas, that doesn’t seem like the right way to grab a yet-identified embedded data from an email or Survey A to paste

Issue with button font size

I tried creating a new message for the text that appears in the Next button, and saving it to my library. While the update does apply, it seems to display all the HTML (or whichever programming language?) with the button text. It does this whether I change just the text size (which was my aim) or also update the font as well. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I saw an image in an old post with this same problem from 5 years ago, so I’d guess it’s some sort of persistent Qualtrics issue. It looks like this:

API update responses (when a ticket is created) with a standalone workflow - bringing surveyID

There is a way to have a standalone workflow to update responses when a ticket is created (I don’t want to configure several workflows). I can do it easily when I manually input the survey ID.I’m bringing the survey ID as ticket data, and I also tried to create an API to fetch that information, but it doesn’t work.

Scoring project blocks linked to library blocks

My survey project is using question blocks that are linked to corresponding library blocks. When I go to set-up the scoring in my survey project, it says that the blocks are "locked" and I'm unable to select any of the questions to include in a score category. Is there a way around this?

Undefined question when importing .txt

I am designing a survey with a large number of nearly identical Likert scale questions. Because it would be arduous to copy in every question, especially because the survey is still in the works and the format may change before final deployment, I wrote a script that turns a spreadsheet with the questions into a .txt file in the format outlined here so that I can import them into the web builder all at once. It seems like the generated file is syntactically valid, and it imports *almost* correctly (the question types, formatting, etc. are correct). However, the question text on all of the imported questions is set to “undefined” rather than the correct text from the imported file, so I would still have to go into each one and copy the question text from my spreadsheet to make the survey useful.There are two things that I think might be responsible, assuming my syntax is correct. First, some of the question text is in Cyrillic (the survey is for a study of Russian language acquisition)

Dynamic privacy link based upon country and not only language.

Hello everyone,I am looking for an idea or solution to the following problem:I have to create a questionnaire in 5 languages and insert a link to the privacy policy. The problem is that one language can be associated with several countries (e.g. French for both France and Belgium).What is the best way to configure the question type Text / Graphic to meet this requirement?I thought about using a Piped Text via Survey Flow, e.g.: if language is FR and country is BE then the Embedded Data ‘link_privacy’ is ‘<a href=’https://test/fr-be/privacy‘>Politique de confidentialité</a>’, but this is not a robust solution. I could have the browser set to English and visit a site in French, at which point logic would dictate that the text above would be written in French instead of English.An alternative I have considered is to create many texts/graphics, one for each language+country combination, and set up the display logic. Tracking clicks on a custom button

I have added a button in my survey, which respondents can click on to read more information. I want to track whether a respondent has clicked on this button and read the additional information. While the button works well, I am not able to track if a respondent has clicked on the button and read the additional information. Below you can find the Javascript that I included to track if a respondent clicks on the button. I also include the HTML code which creates the button. Finally, I have also set embedded data to track the button: I called it “clicked1” and set it as empty. I have tried multiple times, with various Javascript options, and I have not been able to track it in any of the attempts. URGENT HELP NEEDED IN LIVES SURVEY - Javascript not working

We need urgent help regarding a survey that has been running fine since yesterday but is NOT working fine now. Why embeddded data is not translated

Pass embedded data to the Offline app

Is there a way to pass embedded data to the Offline app? We will be conducting an onsite survey (using iPads and the Qualtrics offline app) at several locations and dates and want to make sure we keep track of which response comes from which site.Is there a way to pass embedded data to the offline app? text set percentages to gauge chart

I'm thinking about making a gauge chart that will essentially show the number percentage of the "yes" (pictured in a measure group, I would break this out for each question). I.E. I would have a gauge chart for "(Forward) Open Ended Power Question" and it would show 25%, “(Need) Explained Need for the Call” would show 75%, etc.... What's the best way to do this? Right now I have the question mapped in as a text set.

Hiding side-by-side statements pending previous statement answer

I've got a side-by-side question with 5 statements as shown:Ideally, I'd like to hide (or blank out) Segments 2, 3, 4 and 5 unless "No" is selected for "Have you arrived at home?" in the previous statement (in this case, Segment 1). If "No" is selected in Segment 1, then Segment 2 is shown but Segments 3, 4 and 5 are hidden, unless "No" is selected for "Have you arrived at work?" in Segment 2 ...etc until all 5 segments are visible. Is there any easy way to do this? I tried just standard display logic built into the question for each statement but I don't think that worked because it was within the same question.Thanks!

Urgent: Javascript for numpad keyboard doesn't work in Simple layout

I added the following JS to a few questions to force the numpad keyboard to appear on phones for text input:jQuery("#"+this.questionId+" input[type='text']").attr('type', 'tel');Then I switched to the Simple Layout in Look and Feel tab. I really like this theme so wanna keep it. However, the questions with JS for numpad now show the full keyboard on phones; the code doesn’t seem to be working anymore.Any idea what could be the reason here?

Help Needed: Redirecting Survey Participants Between Different Platforms

Hi everyone,I’m currently designing a research study and would greatly appreciate your expertise! I’m using Qualtrics for a survey, but midway through the survey, I need to redirect participants to another website to complete a specific task and collect data that cannot be captured within Qualtrics. After the task, I would like them to be redirected back to the same survey to continue answering additional questions.Could anyone guide me on how to implement this? I’m also interested in knowing if it’s possible to collect identifiers, such as Prolific IDs or response IDs, from the first survey and match them with responses from the second survey to attribute data to the same participants. As a marketing researcher with no background in HTML or coding, your assistance would be invaluable. Filter survey results via mailing list field

Hello! I am trying to filter the results within a report based on embedded data that is in the mailing list that I am distributing the survey to.I have set up a workflow in the survey that takes contacts from a Qualtrics File Service import, and then uses an XM Directory task to email the survey to each contact while also adding them to a mailing list. Each contact has a specific embedded data field that exists in the mailing list that I want to filter by, such that, when I apply the filter, the report only shows results specific to contacts that fulfill the filter.I’m not sure how to pull this data from the contact list into the report and use it as a filter, I tried adding a filter in the report but couldn’t find the relevant data field. I’ve also tried adding the relevant field as embedded data in the Survey Flow section, but couldn’t find the relevant data in that section either. Is there any way to do this? Any help would be much appreciated.

I am new to Qualtrics, and I hope my stupid question does not bother you.I am conducting my survey for academic research and there is a question I need to upload the pictures of two products to test consumer preference. Using embedded data to count how many times spacebar is pressed

Dear community,Qualtrics-newie here. Within my Qualtrics survey, I included a game for which I want to count the number of times the spacebar is pushed. For some reason , I never manage to get the actual number in the data output. How to change the style of a scale-style single choice question?

Hi all, I want to add a satisfaction rating question to my survey and it needs to be 10pt scale, not 11 point so I can use the pre-designed NPS question as it is not editable. My issue is that the buttons have this border on them, which I want to remove. Using Java to add embedded data from multiselect multiple choice questions

Can someone tell me where I’m going wrong?Context:I’m trying to use java script in two multiselect multiple choice questions to add a value to an embedded data field. In the first question (“What do we do well?”) the embedded data fields should all be set to 0, and then each of the selected choices (e.g. Pay, Vacation, Workload, etc.) should turn their corresponding embedded data field to 1. In the second question (What do we do poorly?”), each selected choice (same choices, but without those previously selected) should set the corresponding embedded data field to -1. I’m using the following java script on each question.
