Hello!  I am trying to pass an embedded data value as a parameter in a webservice. However, instead of embedding the value of the data (as a random number), the webservice call gets the textual value of the embedded data. For example, if I set a embedded data called “random_id”, when I set the embedded data in a query parameter as `${e://Field/random_id}`, I get the full “${e://Field/random_id}” as the value for the parameter on the webservice/API call. Hi everyone,Hope you're doing well.I have a survey set up as a form, which users are expected to fill out multiple times—sometimes in quick succession. Each submission is supposed to trigger a follow-up email.Everything worked fine during my initial test, but when I tested it again with multiple submissions in quick succession, I stopped receiving the follow-up emails.There's nothing showing in the workflow run history, but the follow-up email still isn't being delivered.I'm wondering if this might be related to a fraud prevention mechanism—perhaps Qualtrics detects the same email address being used repeatedly in a short period and blocks the follow-up emails as a result?Thanks :) 

When a survey does not complete due to a bad email address, we would like to send a email back to a manager to review and get the address corrected. Has anyone gotten this to be done automatically?

Hello to the community, We have an onboarding survey sent to every new office employee across our organization for which we have built a dashboard. We currently have a participation rate table by country which gives us data on how many people were invited and how many people responded.I would like to filter that information by time periods (e.g. from Jan 1st to March 31st) so we can follow up on our hirings. However, I’ve noticed that data was not showing and read that time filtering was unavailable for participation rate table. Is there a workaround for this? I feel the data is so close to get, I would appreciate any recommendations on what I could do to have the information we need.

I have a study with a baseline and follow-up survey. They are de-identified but have an embedded piece of data so I can match them up later. The two surveys are different, especially as the follow-up surveys are specific to the assigned study group. Looking briefly at another listing, it says something about a string query from the first to the second, but I am not sure I did that. I embedded the same StudyID in each survey for the participant.How do I match up the baseline survey to follow-up survey using the embedded data? 

Is there an easy workaround to set up reminder emails for tickets that have not been closed? Ideally I would like a reminder email to be sent out to  the ticket owner 3 days after it has been created if it has not been opened and/or if it is not completed. 

Hi, I am new to Qualtrics.I am currently designing a survey with approximately 40 multiple-choice questions.Each question has five choices. Each choice consists of one image (randomly selected from pool A), another image (from pool B), and two words (from pool C).I would like to randomise the order of all questions as well as the order of choices within each question.I plan to distribute 500 surveys, and I don’t mind generating them individually if needed. However, I’m wondering if there is a more efficient way to implement this.For example, I could perform all the randomisation in Python and output the content of each choice in each question to a CSV file. Then, at the beginning of the survey, the respondent could enter a code or number, and Qualtrics would generate the corresponding version based on the CSV.I’ve tried using “Supplemental Data” (but HTML text is not supported), Web Services (but couldn’t find a suitable JSON server, and creating 540 embedded data fields seems impracti

We are currently using .net and C# to read/write to this database but I don't see any options for that in the API documentation. The users would like these updates to happen real time but that may not be an option.

I want to connect Qualtrics to SQL such that I can pull all survey data per a schedule into my SQL database? I tried searching this string but the only relevant thread is on bringing SQL data into a Qualtrics survey and not the other way. many thanks!

Hi, I'm a brand new brand administrator. Love that Qualtrics has these community sites. I can view the user type permissions in the Qualtrics window. I want to be able to compare permissions across three different user types. Can I export the list of permissions for each user type, into something like Excel?

I am doing an ad concept test and would like to give respondents the option of viewing the ad again on subsequent questions. Ideally i would do this with a "click to enlarge" thumbnail, but also fine with opening in a new window from a link. Any thoughts on how to best handle in the survey platform?

I have a survey where we want to use a constant sum question where the values entered across all statements adds up to 100. The issue is that we have 400 statements that we want to include in the constant sum question. The limit for statements is 100 statements for this question type. Is there any work around to split up the question into 4 separate questions, and then still have the total across all 4 questions add up to 100?

Hello all, Current situation We receive customer database and survey invites get sent out through Qualtrics. Along with the contact information we receive a lot of other useful information like 'region', 'customer type' etc. as embedded data fields. Challenge faced Some of the data fields are not updated in the data that flows through for surveys. Eg. - There may be blanks or may be incorrect data at times. However, business is able to share such data subsequently (after responses have been captured). So the way we currently analyse this is by downloading the completed responses from Qualtrics in excel, then do a Vlookup to match it with the updated information recieved for each respondent and subsequently analyse it manually. Key questions Q1. Are somehow able to update the embedded data in Qualtrics with the accurate data received separately? Eg. I need to automate my email distribution using an email workflow, based on an embedded data field. While scheduling a specific time-based event, I'm only seeing the option to add a Task - the condition/decision option isn't appearing. Could someone please guide me on how to implement this.  

Hi there. Not sure if I selected the correct category but here is my question. Has anyone used Qualtrics to create a survey/form for the use of tracking the loaning of equipment. We are looking for an easy to use system of checking out equipment (i.e. Swivl camera, etc) and also checking those same items back in. We like the idea of using Qualtrics due to some of the of the features like the ticketing system, and email reminder actions that we could most likely implement with the tracking of items and their retrieval from those we loan items to.

Hello team, need your support with proper setting for a survey:I need for each participant to assign randomly 20 adjectives from the list of totals 93 (type of question - Matrix Table). To be precise - here people should assess the role of middle manager in general. For each participant there should be a new set of randomly chosen adjectives. I use stnd randomization function here.     Then the same 20 randomly chosen adjectives for a participant should be used in the next question with the same logic (Likert, 5 options to answer). This time people should assess these descriptions for a men in general. Same as for #2, but for women in general.Would appreciate your advises how to set up such survey.Thank you in advance! 

I'm using the Compose Email tool to distribute a survey to a list. I am getting an error which is preventing the email from getting sent, but the error just says:"There were validation errors. Correct the errors and try again.”This message is not very helpful…I double-check the content of the message (including in HTML mode); I also double-checked the list but cannot see anything wrong.What should I do?

I have screenshots of product items with prices, displayed as an image form. I want to add the prices of all the products selected by the participants. Suppose they choose 5 out of 10 items (as shown in the images); the next page should display the summation of all the selected items. Is it possible to execute this?

Currently the Salesforce trigger and email survey options only let you automatically send 1 reminder email, so I'm having to go into my distributions each week and manually schedule the second reminder email. Is there a better way to handle? Seems to me a pretty essential feature, though some might say I'm sending too many reminder emails. (But I've proven they get me many more responses; without them for certain surveys I would never get to what my stakeholders consider an acceptable RR percentage.)

Hello!I have a question, Q3, where if the user selects recode value 1, hide Q11 and auto-code Q11 = 7. The problem is, Q11 is a Forced Response and I'm having trouble disabling that. I have set up a drill down question as below to have the respondents select the provinces and cities they currently live in. Then I need to set embedded data for each city to record the city tier. The problem is that I have hundreds of cities on the list, and manually typing them in could lead to errors and is also quite troublesome. Is there anyway to simplfy this process? Thanks!

Can i actually change the text of validation error message like “Please select an answer” to “Please answer the question”

In our survey we carry across some data from Salesforce to Qualtrics via query strings.We do not have salesforce integration setup at this time due to some organisational barriers. One embedded data field is the system ID for the agent who initiated the call.I’d like to import the IDs and Names as a seperate dataset and match them to the embedded data. Is this possible and how would I go about matching the two sets together for use in a dashboard?
