Using embedded data to expose questions?

Can I have one survey that has questions exposed based on embedded data: e.g. Profile Section - always visible Strategy Section - only visible if Survey1 field in embedded data is TRUE Leadership Section - only visible if Survey2 field in embedded data is TRUE Branding Section - only visible if Survey3 field in embedded is TRUE Therefore a respondent with 1.2.3 set as TRUE would get the whole survey A respondent with 1 set as True would only get the Profile and Strategy Questions A respondent with 2,3 set as True would get Profile and Leadership and Branding Questions. Or do I need to call separate surveys?

Where can I find a complete, organized list of Qualtrics CSS class names?

I don't want to reference this: https://jfe-cdn.qualtrics.com/themes/skins/bjswholesale/bjswholesale_minimal/version-1537469037583-eaa745/stylesheet.css Or inspect the page every time I need to find a class name to customize look & feel. Does Qualtrics actually have something that we can reference? This seems like a very basic and necessary support option that they should be providing clients yet I can't find this info anywhere.

How can I identify incomplete response in a survey?

Hi everyone. Can the survey identify incomplete responses? For an example, when the respondent reached the end of the survey, they will be notified or prompted that there are incomplete responses. I currently have a Table of Contents built into the survey. Thank you.

CSS Format

I'm trying to use a custom image for the background of my survey. However, any code that I paste into the 'Custom CSS' editor on the Look and Feel tab doesn't seem to be registering. When I save the changes to the cSS editor - it simply leaves my survey preview as it originially looked. I don't appear to be running into the same difficulty when I add java-script to individual questions, or to the header and footer sections. Is there a particular prefix that I need to begin my code with on the CSS editor for it to be read by the system?

Page breaks within matrix table?

I have a matrix table with about 100 qs (randomised order), all requiring a response on a Likert scale. Is it possible to put in page breaks for a certain number of questions per page? The qs per page option doesn't come up when I click on "Set Up Advanced Randomization". Alternatively, is there a quick way to convert this table format to individual questions? Thanks

Export Data

Hello, I gathered all my data for my between-subject experimental design, but after exporting my data from Qualtrics to SPSS, I cannot see which respondent saw which advertisement. I showed 6 different advertisements, and I need to know who saw which advertisement to be able to do my analysis. When I open the data & analysis tab in Qualtrics and when I view responses, I am able to track which advertisement the respondent saw, but I believe there should be an option to get this information automatically in SPSS instead of tracking this individually for 300 respondents. I hope there is someone who could help me out!

How can I add colour to my constant sum question to better distinguish rows?

Hi, I hope someone can help. My constant sum question has 27 rows. I can't break up it because I need sum of all for validation. Is there a way to add colour or bold or similar to alternating rows to help respondents read clearly and avoid entering data in the wrong row? I see how to do that with rich text format for each indicator, but not for the answer box. I don't know java script or html unfortunately. Any and all suggestions welcome - thanks

Survey Submission Button?

I have several blocks of questions, as shown in the first screenshot. My final block is a termination block. The block before the termination block I have a form where respondents can put in contact information, as shown in the second screenshot. I have three questions: (1) how do I put a "submit" button at the end of the the respondent form? I tried putting the question in its own block and changing the "next button" text to say "submit", this did not work. (2) Can I still put a termination Message after the respondents submit the form? (3) Will the respondents form entry data be saved? Any help would be appreciated, thank you! ! ! !

Center graphics on page

I have a survey with an exemplar graphic, that shows up for a few seconds then disappears, and then the multiple choices pop up and each multiple choice is a graphic. On several questions my exemplar graphic is too small and not aligned in the center of the screen during actual survey, sometimes top left and other times bottom left. On several other questions the multiple choices show up in the bottom part of the screen, as opposed to centered. How do I go about changing the size of the graphics in each question and making sure that they are centered?

Study Data not showing

Good afternoon! I was wondering if anyone had experienced where they were unable to see their recorded data. I see Responses in progress, and I can also find my data in reports, but it says "An error occurred retrieving your data". Also when I scroll over to where the recorded responses is, it says "Recently Removed Responses are being processed". I've tried refreshing my account, and seeing if I had any filters and that didn't seem to be the case. I've called qualtrics on saturday and they escalated it, but I haven't received a response yet so I was hoping to see if anyone had a quick solution.

Want answers with scores to remain the same once I export to spss what option do I choose in Export

Hi all, Have watched numerous videos of Qualtrics and am getting v confused. I have coded all my answers on the survey. so when people choose an option they're answers are marked. I am now about to export to SPSS. The difficulty I am having is the options available to me. I get a choice of: String Width: Medium - 2,000 Compress data as .zip file Use commas for decimals Recode seen but unanswered questions as-99 Recode seen but unanswered multi-value fields as0 Alternatively, download the following SPSS files: SPSS Syntax FileCorresponding Data DownloadClose Fewer Options and I don't know which one to choose. I literally want to be able to 15 people said more likely - from the likert scale. any help would be gratefully appreciated.

In a matrix question, I want a line break between "Strongly agree" and "5" but not for mobile

Mobile display should be 1-Strongly disagree 2 3 4 5-Strongly agree While desktop looks like this (across the page) with the text centered above the numbers: Strongly disagree Strongly agree 1 2 3 4 5 If I add a <br> code between "disagree" and "1" it looks good for desktop but bad for mobile.

Subsequent questions

Hi all, I am currently working on my master thesis survey and I am a bit stuck on the beginning phase. In short, the survey is about the perception of the respondent with a company brand. The survey starts with an opening question where the respondent has to select the company brand which he or she is the most familiar with. All the subsequent questions will be based on that brand. However, all the questions for all the brands are exactly the same. I only want that in the question ''company X'' is replaced by the company brand of choice by the respondent. E.g. How satisfied are you with the communication channels provided by company X based on the following attributes? So in other words, all the questions are the same I only want the company x to correspond to the answer that the respondent gives in the opening question. My question now is: what is the best and easiest method to do this, also in a way I can analyse my data the easiest when the respondents are in.

Query string in the Salesforce task

Hi, We would like to trigger a task in Salesforce that would include filling in a survey. Is it possible to have an anonymous link inserted in the Task description with a query string which would "pick up" the "Related to" ID, so the response can be mapped in the correct place?

when looking at my data from exporting to excel in the status bar all i can see is the IP address

when looking at my data from exporting to excel in the status bar all i can see is the IP address no numbers as it it describes on the qualtrics webpage. I don't see any numbers as it describes below, i just see the IP addresses. Status The value in the Status column indicates the type of response collected. There are six main possible statuses: 0: A normal response 1: A preview response 2: A test response 4: An imported response 8: A possible spam response 9: A possible spam response submitted through the preview link 12: A possible spam response that was imported 16: A Qualtrics Offline App response 17: Previews submitted through the Qualtrics Offline App. This feature is deprecated in latest versions of the app

How Can I Display that a Question is Required to the Respondent?

That is, before they get a "This question requires a response" message when they try to skip it. Is the only way to do it to put "(required)" in the question text?

Scoring

I have created a survey that I want to come up with a total score at the bottom. I have assigned values to all answers but in the expert review it says that "end of scoring not set up". I don't know what I'm doing wrong! ! ! Any help is appreciated!

Pairing data in a longitudinal study

i am doing a longitudinal study that has three surveys at three time points. Is there anyway that Qualtrics can generate an anonymous code for each participant and this code stays the same for the same person in all three surveys so that i can match up their answers.

Show/hide button

I would like to add a show/hide button after a survey question or within the question itself. The show button should link to a document that could embed within Qualtrics when opened or open in another page. Information contained in the document will assist the user in completing the survey question and possibly returning to update their responses based on information provided. Hide button should close document.!

How can I export individual links to view results?

Hi, I need to export the individual results as links, similar to the links we get when someone completes a survey and we get a link with their responses. I didn't setup trigger emails, but I assume we can retrieve and export the links since we have their Response IDs. Thank you
