Survey Platform

I created a survey and required authentication via email to participate. In preview mode the authentication email data was visible on when looking at my data, but when I published the survey, I know longer see what authentication email is linked to the survey data. Is there a way to make this happen? And is there a way to see who has completed the survey from my authentication contact list?

I'm trying to revise the question text based on the selected answer using ChoiceGroup/DisplayedChoices. But is there a way to ask the question separately for each answer when more than one answer is selected?

Hi Folks,                  I have created an IT Survey where I have a lot of question with a scale of Very Dissatisfied to Very Satisfied and I was able to create de below breakdown bar joining the answered in three categories following the instruction in the below post.How to create a breakdown bar joining five parameters in just three. | XM Community (qualtrics.com) Additionally, I would like to Add the score as a simple result of favorable % in the square similar as the below picture that is the Employee engagement survey as an example, is this possible? I don’t know if you know how to do the VS Previous too! :-)

Hello there!The UX Research team is running a study to understand the needs, pain points, etc. of people who consume dashboard data (as opposed to those who create dashboards). If you are someone who doesn't create dashboards, but does monitor or read them, we would love to invite you to a UX research session. Hi, I have a block which has following:NPS question Open text for NPS I would like to store the value chosen in NPS question and change the display text of Open Text depending on whether it is passive, promoter and detractor (same question with just text changed).The question is : In survey flow it is letting me set value of embedded field - NPS_Open_Text with branch logic only between 2 blocks. This means NPS question and Open text would appear in 2 different pages as I had to move them to 2 blocks. But I need it in same page. How can I achieve it ?.Regards,Neha Tank 

Dear all,Thank you very much for your kind responses yesterday. It helped a lot!I can generate the graphical presentation and report too. But I think the graph shows mean value. If I use the guage meter it generates based on response count. I want to display simple frequencies. In the options I just found ‘default choice count’, min, max and mean.I don’t see the option to display the visuals based on simple frequency count. Please guide how to do that.Thank you once again for your kindness! 

Hello, community. I hope you are very well. I have a question regarding the user types that appear by default on the platform (admin/user types). In the Qualtrics XM Support documentation, descriptions of the most used user types, such as Brand Admin, Core XM standard, among others, appear. But user types like Q Lite 112015299 or QTrial - Govt/NonProfit 0816. I also need the option to delete them even though I am a Brand Admin. Does anyone have the description of these user types, or is it possible to remove them? Thank you so much

I’m trying to determine if / how we can embed a retake link to the respondent.In this support article, it sure seems like you can … Email Task (qualtrics.com). (2nd example)In order to email the retake link, we’d have to build the email address from the entered student id, but logically that’s easy (tips welcome ...)So it’s a simple (to understand) use case - send an email to the respondent, based on their entered student id (from which we build their email address), then send their full response along with the retake URL (and some instructions on what to do).Is this possible?Thank you.

Does anyone know if I modify the response requirements from request from to force respond, will affect the data that it is already gathered?

Has anyone run into a limit on the number of times branch logic can be used in a single survey? The reason I ask is I’m wanting to condense a few surveys into one and worry that branching them by the URL might create issues after a certain number of times.

I would really appreciate some advice as to the best way to approach this research:I want to survey participants of a hackathon-type event before and after the event. Essentially I am trying to assess any changes in entrepreneurial mindset and intent, as a result of their experience. I want to ask the same set of 6 x likert questions before and after the hackathon.I have created a ‘pre-event’ survey, which at the start asks for their first name, last name, and student ID number. Then follows the 6 x likert questions.Do I give them a separate ‘post-event’ survey - again asking for their first name, last name, and student ID number. And the same 6 x likert questions. And try to match up IDs later?OR is there a way of connecting the two so that I don’t ask for their name and ID twice?Thanks in advanceJacki

Hi, I am sending a survey to a small group of 15 CEOs. I expect that they each will forward the survey to one or several subordinates to complete specific sections. My question  - What is the best approach to ensure that multiple different people can access and edit the survey? Also, how do ensure that individuals can make multiple edits to the survey, i.e. exit and re-enter the survey?Thanks 

Hello,I am working on two separate surveys (a survey for caregivers and a survey for youth) and seek support in assigning random unique IDs to each dyad (a unique ID for each caregiver and a unique ID for each youth). For example, once John Doe (caregiver) and Sarah Doe (youth) each complete their respective surveys, they will be assigned their own unique ID that will identify them as a dyad (e.g., John Doe: 10000JD and Sarah Doe: 10000SD). So how do I assign two unique IDs per dyad that will also link both separate surveys, if possible?I am new to Qualtrics so I would appreciate the simplification of steps.Thanks!

Hi! I’ve set up a loop and merge to randomly display x number of loops from an L&M table where is row is for a different video clip and the fields are all the info getting piped into questions (character names, images, etc). My attention check question in each loop shows the correct answer and two distractors in randomized order for that video, like so:...where gym class is in field 13 (distractor), party is field14 (distractor) , and hang out is field12 (correct answer). In the data it just records the piped text code rather than the selected answer.   I looked around here to try and find an answer given to someone else looking for the same thing, but I didn’t really find t

Hello all,An ongoing challenge I face with clients is building beautiful and responsive email templates for survey invitations. I usually build templates using mjml but I sometimes face unexpected behavior when importing my emails source code in the Qualtrics platform email tool.For example, lately, we’ve been struggling with a bilingual english/arabic template.I understand this might not be entirely Qualtrics-related, but being able to produce nice emails is often very important for the platform users.So if anyone has tips on tools that work well with Qualtrics, or that make that task easier, feel free to share! :) 

I’m looking for ways to capture student id better. 1) Can we scrape their user id from their device, assuming they’ve logged in to email?2) Can we store a list of all student id’s/names so they can pick from a list? thank you.

Hey,my survey suddenly end in the middle, instead continue to the next blocks.I try to test it myself and it seems ok, but yet when other people get in the survey, it doesn’t seem to continue.nothing has changed in the logic or anything.please help me fix it 🙏🏻

I am receiving an error message in TextIQ after the data upload is complete:  “There was a problem loading the data for this widget. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact Qualtrics Support.” What’s causing this error and how can it be resolved. Tech support has not been helpful up to this point in resolving the issue. Thanks.KT

Hi,I have a question where I'm piping in today's date strictly for the name of the weekday (i.e. "Tuesday"). Using the traditional, "${date://CurrentDate/DM}" gives me "Tuesday, September 21" but I only want it to say "Tuesday" and changing the DM to E doesn't work. Can someone help me?

Hi all- please point me to the right helpfile if this is covered and I just didn't find it.I'm in the midst of converting a number of surveys and assessments to Qualtrics. There are some edits that I'm having to make on each graph in each custom results or report, and I'm wondering if there is a way to access deeper default settings to minimize the conversion work. Examples:We do lots of assessments where we look at the number of responses per multiple choice option, comparing across questions.* Being able to set the Y-axis maximum to be the same for all multiple choice questions within the report. * The default for response count graphs appears to be single-color; I then have to go back in a report and on each question manually change the colors to shades of Red-Yellow-Green (Strongly disagree to Strongly Agree) on each question.* although I've defaulted to zero decimal places, the Y axis sometimes still shows .5 marks, so I've now defaulted to just hiding

I have a loop and merge block with 2 questions. The loop list is based on programs (max of 8) the respondent is a member of. I need to set it up only to show a max of 4 loops. I also need to make sure that "Program A" is always included in the programs to be displayed. Is this possible?

I was wondering if anyone has experienced changes in the loading speed of survey pages depending on certain choices and additions. In particular the loading of a new page, but also something like display logic.
