Is there a simpler/better way to exclude previous samples from a new sample?

I'm creating my 9th sample from a certain mailing list, and I don't seem to be able to add any more sampling criteria at this point to exclude earlier samples. I need to be REALLY sure that I'm not accidentally sending someone the same email survey invitation twice, so when I create sample 9, I have been using sampling criteria to exclude sample 8, sample 7, sample 6, and so on. But now Qualtrics won't let me add any additional sampling criteria. Any ideas? Also--it seems like there must be a better, more efficient way to do this in the first place than manually excluding every previous sample. Maybe something with the transaction details…? I’m a little nervous about relying on those for a real survey unless I get solid confirmation first that it’ll work, and I couldn’t seem to find anything about it on the support pages. ContactId from a contact using API - XM directory

Hello! I’m trying to extract a list of contacts from a XM directory, using the "list-directory-contacts" API function. I don't get an error, but it returns "elements": []. In other XM directories the "list-directory-contacts" API does work, and returns all contacts. But in this specific directory, it does not return the contacts (there are only 2). In reality, I need is to get the ContactId of these contacts. Is there another way to recover them? Thank you!

The randomization of statements that need to be ranked

For a research project, I wish to conduct a survey among participants regarding mental healthcare. Specifically, I intend to ask five questions, each requiring respondents to rank four statements from 'extremely important' to 'less important'. These four statements represent four different forms of care. Thus, there are a total of 20 statements. My aim is to provide four statements in each question that represent the four forms of care, enabling me to determine which form of care participants prefer. For example, if a participant consistently selects a statement representing the first form of care across all five questions, I know that the participant prefers form of care 1.I want to randomize the statements for each form of care within each question. How can I do this?

How to place one image as well as text over another for a survey invite

Hello, I’m having a bit of an issue when codifying my survey invitations. At the moment, I’m trying to send an invitation that includes some images as well as some dynamic text over another image. I know this includes a codification in HTML however general responses online don’t take into account how Qualtrics saves images so I’m having issues translating what I see online into how my invitation should look like. I know it would be easier to take a screenshot but because of the dynamic text it’s not really a possibility. The big question would be how to put text and images over another image for survey invitations?

Restricting access to contact list

Hi,Need some help please - I’m creating a contact list for distribution of my survey via personal links. This contact list also contain sensitive embedded data values. We have a number of different users of Qualtrics in our business, on the same licence and I noticed that contact lists are viewable by anybody able to access the directory, which is shared. Is there a way to password protect or otherwise restrict access to my contact list?

Directory workflow location

Hi, We have have a “standalone” workflow based on the XM Directory, Qualtrics prompt suggested moving it to the Directory, which I did, and now i cannot find this workflow anywhere. Any ideas where exactly I can find it now?

Experience iD Change issues

Has anyone been able to successfully get the Experience iD Change workflow to work - I”m getting a spinning wheel of death that goes no where fast. Instruction set here: Experience ID Change Event (qualtrics.com)I can’t get past steps 9 - it just spins...

Is it possible to add embedded data to the opt out link?

I am tasked with monitoring opt-outs from our directory by documenting the date within a designated embedded data variable, which I've named R_Opt_Out. My question is whether it's feasible to construct the opt-out link in a way that captures this information when individuals click on it. I’m thinking something like: ${l://OptOutURL}&OptOut=dir&R_Opt_Out=${date://CurrentDate/DM}${date://OtherDate/Y/+0 day} Thank you all!

Ticket, owner cannot see customer profile section

 I have a ticket owner who cannot see the customer profile section which needs to be viewed. I looked at the UserType setting and am not seeing anything that I can enable or disable XMD

Qualtrics event subscription failure

We have created a event subscription and when Qualtrics receive the response, the subscription will call our third party’s api (https://******/******/services/apexrest/survey/response/event). survey URL redirect back from Inquisit task

Hi there, I am needing some help with my survey. At the end of the survey respondents are directed to an Inquisit task but no matter what I try, they are being redirected back to the initial page of the survey rather than the second to last where they left off. Below are the things I have already tried to fix this problem.I have checked that allow multiple submissions are turned off in the survey security. I have checked that the URL is exactly the same for the redirect back from Inquisit as the original survey URL.  I have cleared all browsing caches before testing.But unfortunately every time I test the survey it redirects back to the initial page after Inquisit??Please help, going slightly crazy with this 🙏Lindsey

Importing Data from Survey to Existing Contact List

Hey y’all,I’m attempting to set up a survey for a research study that does the following: Collects general contact info (name, email phone) Utilizes an existing contact list containing ~500 unique ID numbers (under External Data Reference) to authenticate survey responses Imports the general contact info into the same contact list after survey completionMy current workflow keeps creating new records in the contact list instead of mapping the responses on to the corresponding ID numbers. {Trigger: Survey response completedTask 1: Extract responses from survey (name, email, phone number, ID number)Task 2: Add contacts and transactions to XMD using existing mailing list}Could it have something to do with my source and data project fields? Manage Contact List using a form

I want to use a form to manage a contact list.  I can easily ADD a record (contact) to the list and Edit one.  I can do this through a form to gather info (new or changed) and then use a Workflow to update the contact list.  BUT, I’d also like to allow the deletion of a contact.  Anyone have an idea of how to delete a contact using a Workfow?  If not delete, perhaps “Opt-out” for the contact (record)?

Workflow email not working when survey is redirected to Inquisit

Hello.I have set up multiple workflows between surveys in a counterbalanced design and most are working but I have four intake surveys that include a redirect to Inquisit for an external task that are not.Firstly, when the participant has finished the Inquisit task they are being redirected back to the initial page of the survey and not where there exited it.And secondly, my workflow email triggers are only successful when I do not follow the link to the Inquisit task and instead exit the survey at that point.Please help!

Update an email address for a contact whose distribution has already been sent

I distributed a survey and had some emails come back as hard bounces as their email address was incorrect. I am wondering what the “best way” to go about getting this corrected and the distribution set up for them as I want to resend the survey invite asap.1-Do I update them on the contact list and then set up a new distribution for them?2-Is there a way I can keep them on the current distribution and just resend their initial invite so that their reminders will be in sync with all other invitees.

Manually allocating participant into a condition based on their ID

I am running a two-part survey, and based on the analysis in Study 1, I want to assign the participant to a condition in Study 2 after a week. So as a first step, I linked the two surveys using their student ID but is there a way for me to manually allocate the participants to the two conditions in Study 2 based on their ID? (e.g., Participant XXXX should see condition A, participant YYYY should see condition B etc). Do I use Branch Logic to achieve this? All the best,Maria

Does removing a contact from a list also remove them from samples?

I have a survey in field and I need to remove some contacts who asked to be removed (and didn’t click the opt out link in the email). Before I send a reminder, I will manually remove them from the list. My question is- if I remove them from the list, does that also remove them from the samples that have already been created from that list? Or do I need to remove them manually from each sample?

Custom code for preloading of question answers not working anymore randomly

We’ve created a QX surveys which loads a participants previous years answers from our own service API. The survey in question is https://fleresearch.eu.qualtrics.com/survey-builder/SV_1B5PtXcqGP32Aey “Rehabefragung EVT 2024”. Hereby we grant you access to the survey for the purpose of solving this ticket. To accomplish preloading in the header section of the QX survey we’ve added JavaScript code which get’s the unique identifier for a survey participant from EmbeddedData of the embedded data list (ExternalDataReference), requests the previous years data for this specific participant from an API. The API serves the participants data from one of our databases. Before setting the survey active we’ve tested the preloading successfully via: 1) hardcoding unique identifiers and checking the proper functioning of the preloading in preview mode → was successful, 2) with a “master/embedded data list for testing” containing our researchers contact information (email) + an exemplary unique ident

Embedded data - Quiz Score

Hi there, I am having a lot of trouble with quiz scores. I have set ‘QuizScore’ as an embedded data element and also checked that I have assigned the correct values to each question in ‘scoring’. For some reason every time I test the quiz the score comes back wrong. There seems to be some questions that are not being allocated a score (for example if I know I should have gotten 15/15 correct but the Quiz score only shows as 12/15) even though I can see in the scoring page that they have been allocated a 1 for the correct answer. I am wanting to present the score at the end of the quiz to participants and have set up a text question that does so using the same script from the embedded data. what am I doing wrong???!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
