Hello! I'm new to Qualtrics and working on a table of information to display to respondents. I need to randomize both the rows of the table and the information within the table. For example, I'm asking respondents to decide between two options, each with 4 kinds of information (ie location, price, years, number of employees), where each kind of information has 5 possible values (so 5 different locations, and so on). I used the randomizer in survey flow and embedded data to create a table of options with a randomly displayed location/price/etc, but I can't figure out how to also randomize the rows so that the information could be presented in different orders as well. And example of what I'm hoping to produce is below, where one respondent might see the rows ordered the first way, and another respondent might see it the second way. Any suggestions on how to code this up? I'm also new to javascript but could try implementing a solution using JS as well. Thank you in advance!

I am working on an intercept survey for our mobile app and I cannot believe how limited the display logic criteria is for these projects. Basic criteria like time spent on page or how many times a page has been viewed has to be custom built on the backend and then referenced as 'custom property'. When I spoke with a support team member I was told that the feature is not designed to be used this way (e.g., with custom property workarounds), but I don't see how it is used any other way? Qualtrics' web intercepts allow so much customization when it comes to display logic and I don't understand why there isn't parity for App intercepts.When can we expect to see expanded display logic for app intercepts?

Note: I have absolutely no knowledge of coding or using Qualtrics before, so excuse my terminology. I have 4 different videos and I also have to use randomization feature.I have reviewed all the questions related to the matter and tried all available solutions on the community pages, but they do not seem to work for me (using mobile for the survey). Hi - I have a constant sum question that with a (frankly stupid) required workaround I can get to validate against a variable total value. It requires the use of a custom next button. Functionally it all works fine but the custom button has very basic styling and it stands out against the aesthetics of the rest of the survey. If I add a style element into the button html then I can get the button to look closer to the survey template styling but it appears to introduce issues and the standard default Next button which should remain hidden becomes displayed again - so essentially I have two next buttons. Hello,I have created two buttons with java script in my survey:Save & continueSave & continue laterWhen a respondent clicks on the button "Save & continue later" I would like them to go to a customised end of survey block, providing them with information when the survey closes and how they can continue the survey. I understand I will have to work with branching here. However, my question is, how can I embedd the click of the "Save & continue later" button in the survey flow and let this action (clicking the button) go to the specific block? Hey all,My team has been using a survey to generate randomized (hence fake) resumes for respondents to rate the quality of. Right now, we have a bunch lists that contain information like education, job experience, volunteering, etc... basically all the typical components that make up a resume. These lists are stored in our javascript right now (literally stuff like 'let jobList = [job1, job2,...]'). We also have these lists stored as excel sheets for internal organization purposes. But when it comes time to update the lists or change them in some way, we have to change them in both the excel files and the javascript which is a bit tedious.I was wondering if there is some better way to do this? Maybe a way for Qualtrics to pull the lists/data from somewhere else? I'm not aware of what the best practice for something like this is. Any recommendations?

Hi everyone. I would like to insert a Qualtrics survey question (text entry or star rating question) to Marketo newsletter/email. I have read here that this is possible by copying the HTML codes from the inline question. However, text entry and star rating questions are not compatible with inline question setup. Do you have any solution for this? And is there any way to capture the data to track the respondents who answered the question?Also, just thinking if it's possible to insert an "embedded feedback" intercept in a Marketo email?Thanks in advance!

I would like to dynamically set the height of other rows in a table to the height of a specific row in this table. Because this one large row has different heights, depending on the screen size, I would like to do this with JavaScript. I have a side-by-side with three rows and three columns. Columns 1 and 2 need to collect integers, but column 3 needs to allow numbers (with decimals). I modified a bunch of code I found on here and know which line is helping but also not quite right for my needs. Any help modifying it would be great. My survey is already live and none of the stakeholders mentioned this requirement. I tried to send a drafted saved email on Qualtrics with a survey' question embedded into it, however, adding this embedded question into the actual email changed the formatting of the rest of the email. I reached out on live chat and was told that we'd need to use Javascript to recode the custom box (embedded survey question) to not mess up the sizing of the rest of the email - right now it is far too big and is making the size of some other sections bigger too. I'm now searching for some further specifics about what would need done in terms of the Java re-coding. Does anyone have any information on this? Please can you share resources so we can embed the survey question into this email or future similar emails without it affecting the rest of our email template. Thanks!  

I'm running a survey on a specific page of our mobile app, and I want to trigger the survey only after the user has spent a certain amount of time on that page. When I run intercepts on our website, I'm able to add a delay to our creative within the creative options:Yet when I look for these options for in-app surveys (either within creatve or display logic), no such option exists. The only thing qualtrics offers is 'time spent in app' but that applies to the entire app session, and not the time spent on a specific page.

Hello,In my survey I require a fake "Save & continue later" button, which when clicked should lead survey takers to a specific block. I'm hoping I will be able to use embedded data to make this work. I have been able to clone the "Next" button using Java Script. This is the script I've used:This clones the next button perfectly, but I'm now not able to change the name of the fake button. What am I missing in my code? Apologies if this is a simple question, I have searched the community topics and Google high and low and cannot get to the bottom of this. Hi all,I have a video inserted via "Insert Media" function on Rich Content Editor, in a Matrix Table question. The video is a Mp4 file uploaded to my library. I need to change the initial frame shown before the video it is played.Is it possible to implement one of these two solutions:Select a specific second (e.g., sec 5) of the video and set this as the frame of the initial screen, before the video is played. Ensure the video shows a black (or any other color) image before it is played.I get close to solution 2 by changing, in Rich Content Editor of the video, preload="auto" to preload="none". However, the initial box is smaller compared to the size of the video.Thank you.

We have an intercept set on our help center. We have activated the repeated display prevention browser cookie with 7 days for the duration. However, the cookie is not working. Users are seeing the survey immediately after. Is there something else we must do?

How to auto select an option when the respondent is only shown one option and have him move ahead in the survey, without showing that particular question.

I am building a small server that converts html files to pdfs and then sends a download link to qualtrics where I am able to use custom js from within my survey to click the link which then automatically downloads the pdf to a respondent's machine. I would like to upload the pdf from my server to the respondent's data, but can not find a method or API possibility for doing this. I've tried using the route below to send my pdf and am getting a 200 but there is no file there. If I can successfully upload a pdf file to a respondent's data my goal is to then have a workflow setup that sends a link to the pdf which is stored on Qualtrics to the respondent, which I know is possible from tests with upload questions. I've searched extensively through the API and can't find a method for uploading a pdf file to specific response. There isn't a method I could find for uploading a pdf using the libraries or files methods either. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.@app.route('/upload', methods

Hi,I am trying to pre-check (i.e. by default) all the check boxes in the same column based on the response from previous question. In my case, a respondent is first asked to select the services the company provides. If "Bandwidth" is selected, for example, the check boxes under the "Bandwidth" column in the SBS table will all be checked by default.I am a beginner in JavaScript. I found a similar post which could be a possible solution with some amendments. Which web intercept is best suited for embedding on a button that my application has built? I am looking to add the pop up survey on a button that is on my application. Ideally they would be able to add a URL on the button, but if give them plain simple survey URL it won't have the look and feel of a fancy web intercept creative. Any suggestions?

Any help and/or support on this is greatly appreciated as I have little to no experience working in JAVA. I have an old survey where an employee who no longer works with our company added some custom JAVA as a validation at the end of a survey. The questions ask the total number of employees, then the total number of women, men, etc. In the old survey, if the survey taker inputs a set of numbers that do not total the total number of employees the HTML coded table populates with the following rule and typed error.Example from last years survey:When creating this years survey, I copied over the questions, and adjusted the QID pointing to the the new QID's (they changed year over year), and assumed the validation would work for this years survey. It does not and I can't figure out why. This question has been asked before here but I could not solve the issue with the answers given previously. In short I have a question which asks participants to rank several options. After they respond, I want a "text/graphic" type question to appear if and only of the ranking a participant gave is incorrect. Display logic does not allow me to specify a condition like "if option A was higher ranked than option B:". Any advice?
