Is there any other way to connect Qualtrics database apart from API?

i want to automatically write qualtrics data to my database. Is there any other way to write data directly to database like MySQL, MSSQL... apart from API

blank space in the intercept before the survey

I have created a responsible dialog intercept, how ever for some reason there is a blank space between the top part of the frame of the intercept and the survey. I need to get rid of it.

Create a distribution for an individual without sending an email

Is it possible to create a distribution for an individual contact but not send out the survey email using the API? Following the steps here https://api.qualtrics.com/573e3f0a94888-create-distribution#generate-distribution-links it doesn't appear this is supported. I am handling the sending of emails so all I really need is the unique link to the survey for a contact in the directory.

Get Account ID from Salesforce using an anonymous link

Hi everyone. I'm trying to figure out how to get an Account ID from Salesforce into Qualtrics. Basically, I've set up some surveys where people select their account (e.g., school name) from a dropdown list. What I then need is to be able to do is pull the Salesforce Account ID for the school selected, ideally into embedded data. The problem is that due to the nature of the survey, it is not possible to set up a personal link. All respondents will be accessing the survey through an anonymous link.I've found the help page here, but this assumes that everything started with a Salesforce email trigger, which is not helpful for me. https://www.qualtrics.com/support/integrations/salesforce-integration/salesforce-integration-overview/#CommonUseCasesI know SQL well enough that I could, in theory, pull this info into embedded data using SQL (assuming I can set up an SQL database from my Salesforce account), but I haven't been able to find any info on whether or not it is possible to connect Qu

Distribute by SMS if Email not available

Hello,I'm setting up a workflow triggered by an API call from our case management system that will trigger JSON event in Qualtrics. The contact information we have for survey recipient varies. We would like it to send an email invitation if an email address is available, but if not, send an SMS invitation if mobile phone is available (and if neither are available, not send an invitation). Does anyone know the best way to set this up? One solution I considered was to make a first task distribute by email, then add a condition "if email is empty" routing into a second task to distribute by SMS. Thanks for any advice.

equations displaying in question preview but not survey

I've followed the instructions here: https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/32547#Comment_32547 to integrate katex into a survey for displaying equations. Interestingly, when I use "preview question" on a question with embedded katex, it displays fine in the pop-up window, as below:But when I use "preview block," "preview survey" or even just look at the published survey, I get a mess:Interestingly, you'll see that the variable d_{blue, red flag} is actually displayed properly within that block.I feel like maybe there's a command I'm missing somewhere that doesn't get triggered when doing the broader previews? Has anyone gotten math display to work properly (using katex or otherwise)?

Populating Salesforce Lookup Field from Response Mapping

Greetings,I have two workflows set up in a survey: one to upsert Contacts and one to insert a related object record. While I can get the related object created in Salesforce, I cannot link it to the corresponding Contact as I don't have the Contact ID available.Is there any way to have the Contact ID returned after the upsert workflow is fired? I must have these objects linked correctly but am not sure how to do so. I tried using the external ID that we use for other integrations in the response mapping and with the Process Builder in Salesforce to update the Contact lookup field on the related object but neither options work.Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you!

Adding Questions to Survey with Tableau Integration

Hi all,I've got a survey in Qualtrics that is linked to Tableau using the integration. A question was recently added to my survey, but isn't showing up in my Tableau workbook. I've got a bunch of calculated formulas set up in my Tableau workbook that I'd love to not have to completely redo. I've got a pre- and a post- survey, and right now they are connected on the same data source with a relationship. So I can't use the "replace data source" feature, because that wants to replace the entire data source rather than individual tables part of a single data source.So, I have two questions: Do I create a new data source with the updated data, or do I add a connection to my existing data source?Should I make a relationship or a join between the old dataset and the new? The only join options available to me are left join and inner join, which I presume would exclude my new question column, which is no good because that is kind of the whole point.I've also posted this question in the Tableau

How do I set embedded data with Qualtrics using Javascript?

Hello, I am working on programming a conjoint survey experiment in Qualtrics using the following example: https://github.com/leeper/conjoint-example. However, I am unable to set the choices shown to survey respondents as embedded data using Javascript. I have tried a variety of approaches, and nothing seems to be working. I have a Javascript array called a_list which contains the list of attributes for option A shown to survey respondents. I am sure that a_list contains the proper information because it is properly displayed with the question. I am trying to save a_list to embedded data as a single string variable, as in the above example, using Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData("traits1a", a_list.join("|"));. However, traits1a always shows up empty in my data.(1) I have defined the embedded data at the beginning of the survey flow (prior to attempting to set it using Javascript). (2) I have tried putting the code "Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData("traits1a", a_list.join("|"

How to handle individual contacts and distributions?

I am continuously adding new contacts to my directory, and I will be using the API to do everything. I am looking for the proper strategy to handle survey link generation for these individuals. I will not be using Qualtrics to send out emails, I have my own process for that. Would the right way to go about this be to create a distribution for each individual after they are added to the directory? There is only one survey to send out and I don't need to generate it for everyone when a new contact is added. However, looking at the documentation here https://api.qualtrics.com/573e3f0a94888-create-distribution#generate-distribution-links you can only do this for an entire mailing list without sending the survey out. Is there a best practice for this when it comes to individuals?

progress bar not updating when adding contacts

The progress bar no longer updates when contacts are imported into the product. The user is also taken back to the screen which says 'xxx is looking a bit empty.. This is VERY confusing to the user and refreshing doesn't always update the values immediately. This used to work properly. Email.pdf

Getting an "Unexpected Error Occurred" message for survey embedded in an iFrame

I am getting the following error message when I try to load several surveys within an iframe template. This is occurring on several hosting sites, as well as in iframe template testing sites. The URL itself loads currently outside of the iframe template.Are there any settings I should be looking at to correct this issue? I have already spoken with support and they have said they are unable to help since the URL itself loads. Thanks!iframe template being used:

Designing informational treatment: displaying inputted answers vs. correct answers

Greetings,I'm trying to design a survey that measures public estimates (e.g. what percent of the population is X) of the prevalence of different phenomena. My goal is to see whether correcting misestimates has downstream effects on relevant policy attitudes. Initially, my idea was just to randomly assign participants to view a 'correct answers page', which would consist of a graphic (via the Text/Graphic type) displaying the true figures they were initially asked to estimate. But now I'm thinking it would be better to show the true figures vs. the respondents' initial estimates, so that respondents can gain a better appreciation of how 'off' or accurate their estimates were. Question: is something like this achievable with JavaScript or CSS in Qualtrics? Do any of you have any suggestions as to how to approach this? Thanks in advance for your time.

Javascript for multiple youtube videos not working properly

Is the Salesforce integration cloud agnostic? (Migrating from Lightning to Financial Services Cloud)

We are migrating from Lightning to Financial Services Cloud (FSC) and curious if there is any nuance we should be aware other than re-establishing the integration via authorized user and configuring our survey response objects.Has anyone done a similar migration and carried over Qualtrics?

Impact of Intercept Surveys on Conversion Rate

My team is concerned that intercept surveys (Feedback buttons, sliders, responsive dialog, etc.) on our website might impact the site's conversion rate. Has anyone set up an A/B test via Google Analytics to test this hypothesis?Here is how I am envisioning the A/B test could be designed:The (A) could be a survey that triggers under certain parameters.The (B) could use the same trigger parameters but be invisible to users.Where I need help is in the tracking of the website conversion rate among these two groups. Is there a way to add Google Analytics tracking so that we could compare the conversion rate between (A) and (B)?

What are best practices for collecting mobile site UX feedback among non-converters?

There are well-documented best practices for website feedback collection among non-converters on desktop. For example, you can trigger a survey to launch on Exit Intent if the user's site history does not include the order confirmation page. In the survey you can then ask questions about the UX.On the mobile (non-app) side, I see challenges to collecting this type of feedback:You can trigger a survey on the mobile site at any time. But, you really want to collect feedback at the end of a user's session (so that they can comment on the full experience and so that you do not interrupt their shopping experience). However, there is no "On Exit Intent" trigger on mobile.Qualtrics allows you to prompt a user during his/her session to enter email address so that you can send a UX survey via email following the session. Creating a Qualtrics Survey Sleep Quality Index (SQI)

Hello all,I am assisting a professor with a SQI.I have been able to add a flatpicker for the calendar dates and time to input the items needed. The time is inputted in regular time an then it converts it automatically to military time so that the user doesn't have to do that conversion.I have it to the point where the user can go in and add each day completely in a flill in the blank question.I tried to use a side-by-side question to create the 7 day table to input time.The flatpicker is added to that side-by-side, but it adds the flatpicker to the entire row, and I cannot add a total column to calculate the time slept.So I need to know how to do this for over 7 days, and store that information on the table for the Data & Analysis. How can I deselect a response of a slider based from a question on the same page?

I have a slider question (QID64 - "competence of the trainers?") and need to hide and deselect a response based from the question above it. I already have the code to hide but I can't deselect the response.If the respondent selected "online" then the next question should be hidden and the response should be deleted. Side by Side - Ranking Model

Hi Team,I used Side by side question type and i created 3 columns which is Rank 1, 2 3 and each column have 5 options and multiple statements, now if i select any option in Rank 1 then Rank 2 should not show Rank 1 selected options like that same for Rank 3 (here we have to hide Rank 1 & Rank 2 options) Can some one please help JS for this scenario,RegardsSara
