Hi I have a question regarding the numbers shown in the above screenshot. I’m planning to recruit 30 participants for my study and they are randomized in to 3 different group of 10 each. As i understand initially participants will randomized evenly. After one group quotes meet (10) and the participants will randomized for remaining two group. I’m not sure I understand correctly? I have three blocks. I want everyone to response to Blocks 1 and 3, but I want participants randomly assigned to Block 2 so that half the participants complete Blocks 1, 2 and 3 and half the participants only complete Blocks 1 and 3. In other words, I want to exclude Block 2 for half. Can that be done?

I have a report with charts that use ‘choice count’ as the metric. What I want to do is use the number of responses as the Max range of each chart so they’re all using the same y-axis range.The survey is going to be reused frequently so I would prefer to not have to manually set the max range to the same value each time I need to run the report.

Hello,I’m currently a doctorial student distributing a survey to gather information about sefl-determination in young adults with a history of foster care. As part of my project I created a questionnaire and converted into Qualtrics. To recruit participants(hard group to survey) I’ve been disbursing my survey  via links and QR codes on flyers and post approved throughout state and community care organizations working with this group and on private groups on Reddit and Facebook. The survey is set up where eligible participants can complete the survey and are redirected at the end to another anonymous link to receive their incentive (Typical protocol approved by my IRB).  I had the issue of bots getting through the survey and using the anonymous link at the end to try to get the incentive. I also realized at some point there where more gift card responses collected than surveys completed. Before publishing I had bot detection and repeated responses enabled on both and with a normal quest

Hi, I have built two surveys. The first survey is for staff to make an annual declaration, the second survey is for their respective Department Heads to endorse their declaration. Each department head is expected to approve the annual declaration of a few subordinates. In the first survey,  the response of staff to each question will be added to the contact list via the Add to XM Directory function. The second survey is very simple and only consists of two blocks. The first block shows what the staff previously entered in the first survey (i.e. already included in the contact list) via the Pipping text function. The second block contains one question only: Do you endorse the declaration? Department head will receive an email each time when their subordinates submit the first survey. Each email contains anonymous link of the second survey and be informed of the staff ID of a subordinate (i.e. the respondent of the first survey) . I have 50 matched pair questions (100 questions total). I need 1 question randomly displayed from each matched pair, for a total of 50 questions shown to the participant. Additionally, I need all of these 50 questions to display on the same page (so I have them in 1 block to achieve that aim).I read some suggest the below, but am having trouble implementing it. Hi, I have some participants that are being flagged as duplicate responses by qualtrics where they had several responses in progress, but I am only seeing one completed response associated with that participant’s email.  I am wondering if they are being flagged as a duplicate from the multiple responses in progress or if there is a separate completed “participant” response that is actually the same person (i.e., ballot stuffing).Is it possible if they open the survey multiple times, and have multiple responses in progress, but only complete one of them, that this would be flagged as a duplicate? Or does qualtrics only flag duplicates from the responses that have already been completed? Any tips on how to parse this out would be appreciated!

Hi, I have reCAPTCHA turned on for a survey. When I look at the data, the reCAPTCHA value is empty for a few survey responders (maybe 5% of responders). What does this mean?

Hi thereBeen using Qualtrics for a few years and tend to report survey results in Qx dashboards. Doing the Qualtrics Platform Essentials Capstone training course - in section 5 and 6 you are asked to create a new project based on a pre-existing template, and upload some survey data into it. It includes CSAT questions with a scale of ‘Extremely dissatisfied (1) ↔ Extremely satisfied (5)’ in it.It then asks you to present, in the results tab, a gauge chart widget that takes the average CSAT score of one of the questions. The question does not show up as a field in the Average Metric drop down, because it’s not set as a number set question.Per the qualtrics documentation, the gauge chart can only use an average function on number set questions, so I’m wondering if the course misses a step here or if I am missing something obvious that would allow me to calculate the average CSAT score. I made the mistake of using the select all columns feature in the Column Chooser to add all columns.  My table is now overrun with unwanted Text IQ fields… Am I correct in my conclusion that there is no easy way to Unselect all columns and start from a blank slate?   Alternately, I would be interested in a faster way of multi selecting columns in order to mass remove them from the view, rather than clicking through the cumbersome checkboxes in the Column Chooser and waiting while the view slowly refreshes between each change.  Oh, and it also seems that Search feature within the Column Chooser does not work to find any embedded data fields (including text IQ fields) - correct?  Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Hi, I’m wondering is there way to send email instruction to participants every day at e.g. 8:00AM Eastern time for 10 days. I am trying to make a survey that has four different versions of a text block (each version has a slight change in wording and details), is it possible to have the survey change from the first text block version to the second and so on, based on how many times the survey linked has been used without changing the other questions. The idea is that one person will see one version of the text block, and then the second person to use the survey will see the second version and so on, in a loop. Is this possible, and if so how can this be achieved? 

Hi I have a question that allows multiple answers. However, if a responder selects “ all of the above”, is there a way to deselect all of their selections? it’ll be easier for us to track / count what each person wants (preventing multiple preferences for one person)  thanks for your help!  Zoe

Hi everyone!I have 64 blocks, each designed to test the fit between two brands (e.g., Gucci & H&M; Mercedes-Benz & Coca-Cola; etc.) with one single question. I used the randomizer option in my survey flow, limiting participants to view only 8 out of these 64 blocks.For each of the 64 blocks I also applied a display logic, based on my first question, which asks if the participants are familiar with the brand (16 brands in total). Only if the participants state that they are familiar with the brand (“Strongly agree”, “Agree”, “Partly agree”) then they should see the corresponding blocks. In general, they should see 8 blocks with brands they are familiar with.If I now click on preview and do the survey myself, sometimes I see 5 blocks, sometimes 3 and sometimes even just 2 blocks - However, the survey never displays the 8 blocks I chose to randomize, even if I state that I am familiar with all of the 16 brands. I understand if this is the case if the participants select that t

Hello friends!I am trying to use a function or a code on Qualtrics that allows me to select the strongest option (in this case punishment) from previous question to be reflected in the next open-ended question. This is the example:Q1. Please select what response you would take in this situation (you can select as many options you want).Do not do anything  Tell them to stop nicely Tell them to stop firmly Tell the teacher Call the policeQ2. Why did you choose to (...)? Please explain why. As you can see in Q1, 1 is the weakest option and 5 is the strongest option. In Q2, I would like (...) to reflect the strongest option. For example, if a participant chose 1 and 2, I would like 2 to be reflected in (...). If the participant chose 2,4, and 5, I would like 5 to be reflected in (...). If someone selected, 1,2,3, and 4, I would like 4 to be reflected in (...). Is there a way to do this in Qualtrics? Is there a way to do this using the ‘If’ logic?Thank you for your help :).

Is it possible to add 2 drop downs within the same question that will be associated with each other? They can fall under a title or group such as Organization 1 , Organization 2 and then they would choose position as one drop down and the organization that position is associated with in the other drop down. Think I’ve explained that ok. Any light shed on this would be greatly appreciated!
