Selecting few answers as piped text in next question

Hi Qualtrics Community,I have a survey question: “Which of the following things do you have? Please select all that apply.”-Table-Chair-Sofa-Bed-Chester drawer Now, I am interested only in the combination of Table and Chair OR Table and Sofa answers. Respondents might have selected more option, but I am interested only in these two combinations.So, in a next question, I would like to have a piped text: “Did you buy Table and {Chair OR Sofa} from the same shop? How do I specifically select and add these two piped text with Chair or Sofa, since people might have selected more options.Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks,Ank

Only send reminders to those who have started or partially completed the survey

Hi, Is there a way to only send reminder emails to those who have started or partially completed a survey? I do not want to send a reminder to those who have never opened the survey (i.e., those with Email Sent or Email Opened status). Thank you!

Survey Frequency Advice

I work for a financial organization and we have 9 different surveys based on the product used that are triggered by transactions.  Some are more often, like branch visits or contacting the call center, while others aren’t as often, such as getting a mortgage/loan or new credit/debit card. Our current settings restrict members from getting the same survey more than once within 6 weeks and there is an overall restriction so they will not get more than one survey, regardless of type, within 24 hours of each other. We are trying to determine if this is still too frequent and get a feel for what frequencies other organizations are using.  Anyone have any insights/suggestions they are willing to share?

Scoring

I have a multiple choiche question that I want to score based upon just answering the question.  So I want to score the question as 1 point if  1 or all 12 repsonses are selected.  The point is given for answering, not whether it is correct or not.

New results reporting

The current results reporting for a matrix question  calculates the percentages based on the total number of responses instead of the total number of responses that chose the answer choice. Is there a easy way you can set the matrix results to be based on number of responses that chose the answer choice as currently the results don’t make sense the way it works. we are able to do this in the old results reporting matrix tables.

Default choice changed based on selection in first drop down

HelloI have drafted a survey with 10 blocks and 7 questions in each block. Now based on the country selection in first block...….default choices for some of the Text box questions should change. Example if user selects ‘Netherlands’ in Block-1, then CPI, GDP, Training % etc. should get updated for few of the questions in Block 2, 3, 4.  Similarly if user selects UK the data for these questions should again get updated…..I have the country data along with values of other variables in excel.I am a beginner in Qualtrics and seeking your help in getting this worked for me. Happy to create new block with Select your country question as well.

How could enter/ import profiling data into hidden for respondents variables?

Hello,I have created a questionnaire with a few hidden for respondents profiling questions with the idea afterward to input that data by myself (manually in case of few answers, as it's an internal survey with a small scope or to import that data from a file if the sample becomes bigger). The aim of this is not to bother the respondents by asking for information that I have.I hid these questions with Display logic rules set so that it's impossible to be shown (e.g., show the question that I want to be hidden if a previous mandatory question (with force response) doesn't have an answer).But when I go to Data & Analysis tab to check if I could enter that data in the test responses I produced, it is not possible to add the answer manually as planned.Could you please advise how should I set these questions as hidden for respondents but available to me for data input afterward?Thank you in advance!

Sending post-survey report to respondents without asking for their emails

hi there!I need to send a scoring report to respondents, but I do not want to ask for their emails (this is a risk matrix they’ll need to complete multiple times, so it would be bothersome to keep inputting emails). I have created a Contact List with teh email’s respondents.Is there any way I can send the Email Trigger to a respondent whose email is in the Contact List?I tried with piped text: Email, but it did not work. Would it work if I distribute the survey to the Contact List? Is there any other way I can do this? Simpler form builders automatically collect respondent’s emails…Thanks!Alessia

Any way for workflows/embedded data to work better in multiple languages?

Hi there - I have a survey distributed in multiple languages. There are two surveys that go together - a survey that is taken before someone participates in an event and after. There are some responses from a multiple choice question in the pre-event survey that influence what is shown in the post-event survey; to do this, I have workflow set up to record the response to that question as am embedded data field in the XM directory and then use display logic in the post-event survey based on this embedded data field. HOWEVER, it records this response in the language it was taken in; this means I have to have a complex display logic that triggers a question based on four different translations of the same multiple choice field. Is there any work-around - e.g., a way to get this multiple choice response to record the English translation (if it’s taken in another language) in the XM directory instead of whatever language it was taken in? As it’s a multiple choice field vs. an open response,

Referral URL suddently stopped showing the correct URL for some URLs but not all of them

I have 1 survey that is working with a site intercept on multiple landing pages. Until recently the Referral URL was capturing the landing page URL correctly. Recently, and it appears to be random, the landing page URL is not coming into Qualtrics correctly. I have seen the Site permission needs to be set but that has been set in accordance with the help page instructions and the problem is still occurring. At this point I don’t know what else to try. ​​​​​Is there anything else I can do besides the site permissions to correct this?

How to display multiple blocks

I use blocks to:Group like-questions that are often conditionally displayed based on a previous questions Copy blocks of re-used questions between surveys Organize questions for my own thought-process Is there a way to show multiple blocks on the same page (with display logic on the block would be ideal), or a clean way to auto-advance to the next block, omitting the clicking of a next arrow? Edit with additional details.In-display logic as a work-around is limiting when you have multiple questions hinged on a single response, as you have to edit the display logic for each individual question.  (If you could bulk-edit display logic, that would be a killer feature). This is how I formally had the survey set up, but it became cumbersome.

Renumbering the internal Question ID

Is there a way to renumber the Internal Question ID just like you can with the export label? I made a long survey only to find in the end that the hidden Internal ID is completely different than the visible Question ID. This is confusing because I have Custom CSS targeting the Internal ID. I understand that we can't touch the Internal ID, but maybe there is a workaound by e.g. copying the survey and rearranging the questions, or by saving the questions in the library and then add them to a new survey in the right sequence?

Detect users who delete their tickets

Is there a way to detect users who "cheat" and instead of resolving their assigned tickets, they proceed to delete it? One way would be to disable the option to delete tickets, but apparently Qualtrics doesn't have this basic functionality, and with hundreds of people being assigned tickets, it becomes quite complicated to track them one by one to see if they are deleting them. Has anyone faced this issue? and how did you resolve it?

How to Remove "End of Survey" Message?

Importing blocks from library with notes

Hi XM Community - I added blocks to my team’s library and am adding notes to the survey items to guide them as they program surveys. Upon importing the blocks from the library to create a test survey, I noticed my notes were not imported. Are notes “lost” during the importing process?

Assigning Likert questions to categories

I’m creating a 9 question Likert survey. I want to group the respondents answers into two categories with separate scores, as well as an overall score. For example, questions 1-5 ask  about respondents attitudes - they can score 5-25 on attitudes. Then questions 6-9 are about respondents emotions - then can score 4-20 on emotions. I want subtotals for both emotions and attitudes AND a grand total overall score (with a minimum score of 9 and a maximum of 45). I’m a newbie to Qualtrics, and would appreciate any guidance! I’ve set up the two categories, but how do I tell Qualtrics WHICH question gets assigned to which category?

Math Operations Help

Honestly, I must be doing something silly and not seeing it but it’s driving me mad. The “Talent_Mean” Operation works perfectly - what’s wrong with “Talent_SD” (Standard Deviation)? Does anyone know of any html code that would eliminate the video controls for embedded Qualtrics videos? I was told Qualtrics doesn't have a workaround for it.

Emailing only individuals who started survey

I am working with a large email list and am hoping to send reminder emails to individuals who started the survey but did not finish. I have tried three ways of doing this, but none of them does what I’m hoping to accomplish. (1) I have tried the reminder option in the email distributions portion of Qualtrics; however, this sends the email to individuals who did not start the survey as well as those who started but did not finish. (2) I have tried sampling from my directory; however, it appears I am unable to use survey status to create a sample. The list is also too large to manually generate the sample.  (3) I have tried downloading the directory, taking only the individuals who started the survey, and re-uploading; however, from my understanding, this creates a new link for each individual, so rather than allowing them to pick up the survey where they left off, they would have to start over.Is there some way to accomplish this that allows people who started the survey to pick up wher

Display specific entries in drop down option in survey based on previous answer

I have a survey where a user is asked to select the country in Q1 and based on the selection of answers they receive another set of questions. Then in Q5 user is asked the country again and based on this selection user has to select locations from another drop down of the same question ( country and locations are mapped here). My requirement is can we populate the locations based on the answer in Q1. Users want to avoid selecting the country twice and they want pre filled answers in drop down of Q5 based on the selection of Q1.

Iframe embedded in Qualtrics on mobile

Dear Qualtrics XM community, I have embedded a mock-up landing page in a survey question by using this simple html sintax “<iframe width="350px" src="webpage URL" height="300px"></iframe>The iframe perfectly works for participants taking the survey from desktop, but it seems not to be working for participants taking the survey from mobile (both Chrome and other browsers on mobile). In most of the cases it displays the message to rotate the device, but then nothing happens.Can you kindly help me on this issue?Many thanks in advance

How to set differently two consecutive questions with number validation

Hello,I'm quite new to Qualtrics, so most probably I'm missing out on something. Still, here is my issue.I would like to ask two consecutive questions for amounts entry (text entry question types) where the amount/ number entered at the second question should be smaller or equal to the one from the first question.So, my assumption of how should do it is the following:First question: Validation - Content Type - Number - Minimum 1000 and Maximum 99000000 - DoneSecond question: Validation - Custom - '’Is Less Than or Equal to" piping the value of the first question. The issue is there is no possibility to pipe the first question (please see the empty box below - where I expected to pipe the first question from): Thank you in advance,Violeta

Combining answes in Report wordcloud

In Reports, is there a way to combine answers into one wordcloud? I have a Text Form question where I ask for 3 key words. I want to show all the answers in one Wordcloud. I can do this in the Dashboard and Results, but not in Reports? Or should I use the Contactenate option in the Data tab?
