Not enough responses for Maxdiff

I have a maxdiff survey.  Unfortunately I might not be able get the required/recommended number of responses.  The survey platform will still give me a Report.However, what can I say about the report?For example, the survey platform said that I need 190 responses and I’m only getting about 150 now.What can I say about the results other than that it would not be statiscally accurate?Are the results totally bogus?

Filter out (or filter in) participants by country

We're running a survey that is asking for participants from England only.Is there a way to restrict by IP address (or another technique) so that we don't get participants from eg China, the USA? We've been getting a number of fake responses from all over the world and I'd like to explore ways we can make it harder for people who don't meet the basic geographic requirement to get access to the survey in the first place.

NPS in EX PROJECTS

Hi! We are launching a life cycle project, and our main metric is NPS. I would need to be able to graphic in the dashboard of this ex survey in a similar way to the EX options for NPS.I didn't get the NPS question option in the survey, so i uploaded an NPS question from an CX project but i am unsure if this will work once we move to the dashboard. Any suggestions of how can i manage to have NPS in a better way and that works for this EX project?

Using WordPress as an authenticator for a survey

Hi all,I noticed there was many options for an authenticator for a survey (ie. Azure AD, Google OAuth, etc). And I’m wondering what would be the best option if I were to make sure only users of a certain self-hosted WordPress site were allowed to take a survey?

Display a graph of survey results to participants

We are creating a teamwork assessment task in Qualtrics. Individual respondents rate their team on a number of items that are tagged as either contributing to qualityA or qualityB of the group work. We have set up scoring so that respondents receive a score of 0 to 50 on each of these dimensions. We have created a summary page using the Text/Graphic question type on which the respondents receive their scores. We also want to include on this page a graph like the one below, showing where they rated on the scale.I am looking for recommendations and ideas to make this work. I have been looking at us Javascript. Unfortunately, you cannot call on script libraries from within the HTML editor. I have been looking at the Javascript option in Qualtrics, but I am unsure of how to call on libraries, such as Plotly.js from within the script editor. Any ideas or recommendation are much appreciated.

Feature Request - Live Merge Field Population in Survey Distribution Emails

We should have a way to test the merge fields being used in survey invite emails live before they are sent out.In the attached image, you can see where I’m using “Hello ${m://FirstName},” as a greeting line, but I don’t know how this is actually going to be populated when the email is sent. If I chose the wrong merge field, then my emails are going to show up incorrectly to my invitees, like “Hello ,” with a blank space before the comma instead of showing their name. It would be great if there was a way to preview the emails with at least one merged response from the contact list.  Sending a Preview Email via the existing link does not populate merge fields and will send literally  “Hello ${m://FirstName},” in the test email.  Thanks!

Constant sum total incorrect

I have a constant sum question where the total is off by a very small decimal amount when the response is viewed or exported to PDF.  Is there any way to fix this?  The exported PDF needs to be correct for our intended use.  Example below. Example​​

Shall we translate Base Language from French to English

Hello,Need your advise!  One user created the survey questions in French language.I would like to create Dashboard for that survey, I don’t know French. I have checked at my end, there is a survey on the left hand side ‘Translations’. If i click on translations can i change the Base language from French to English? I choose English below message appears.What is the best way to change the language from French to English? Suppose if i change to English and click on Delete button whether all the survey questions is translated?

Assigning respondents to categories based on 3 answers

Hi!I have 3 questions, 2 Likert-scale and the NPS question. Depending on how respondents answer, I want to assign them one out of 5 categories. For example:Respondent X chooses: Likert1=agree, Likert2=disagree, NPS=9 → Category 1Respondent Y chooses: Likert1=disagree, Likert2=disagree, NPS=6 → Category 2Right now, I made the calculation in the Surveyflow with a lot of conditions.Is this the most efficient way to do this? Will doing this in the Surveyflow slow down the survey / dashboard? I need the same calculation in other surveys, how can I copy-paste the whole flow?

Advanced Survey Logic

I have a question about some advanced logic I have not worked with before. You can see my question below!  Q1. Have you, or has any member of your family seen either a nurse practitioner or a physician in the last 6-12 months?Nurse Practitioner Only → SKIP TO Q2b, then SKIP TO Q3b Physician Only → PROCEED TO Q2a, them SKIP TO Q3a, then SKIP TO Q4 Both Nurse Practitioner and Physician → PROCEED TO Q2a None of the above → SKIP TO Q4 Not Sure → SKIP TO Q4 How, if possible, would this be done? Cant store group assignment to results

Hey. I looked at several possible solutions and was unable to figure this out. [solution1, so2, so3 - couldn't make it!]I have a simple two group between-subjects design and I want to record which group each participant was randomly assigned to.I am able to assign them randomly but the assignment isnt recorded in the results.Here is what I tried to implement:As you can see, I created a randomizer with two branches. I was hoping to get a feature in the dataset called "group” with one of each values for each specific subject: old or young.No data (Missing values) /:This is not the case, and it is frustrating!!! I will appreciate any advice.

None option added to carried forward statements

Hello, I have a question where I want to carry forward statements from the previous matrix question and also add a “none of the above” option anchored at end. The previous question’s statements are randomized, and I want the statements to present in the same order as the previous question. The problem is the “none of the above” option shows up at the top of the list and I can’t figure out how to move it the bottom (using move down did not move it). I can’t use advanced randomization because then the order of the statements will be different from the previous questions.  I could add the “none of the above” option to the previous matrix question, hide it, and then carry forward all statements displayed and hidden, but I would like to do something less messy. All suggestions are appreciated! Thank you!

Auto upload large number of choices?

Good afternoon from a cloudy Sweden!I have to create a “survey” where I use a Multiple Choice question and a dropdown where a user needs to select a specific value, in this case “Data Source”. I have all the values in an excel file, the problem is that there are 148 values. Is there any way I can mass-insert them into the dropdown, or will I have to sit and copy/paste the values into each of the options?  Thanks in advance-Mattias

Display Logic for Matrix Scale Points

I am making a carousel matrix question where I want the “Scale Points” to actually be the names of stores and the statements to be departments and there are some stores I only want to show up for certain departments.  For example, if the statement is “Meat & Poultry” I want the scale point that reads “Butcher” to only show up for that statement and not under the statement “Fresh Produce”.  I’m currently trying to do it with embedded data that I created, but I’m not having any luck.

Loop a question after image

I have 20 images and one question. Every time an image gets presented, the question follows. So image 1, question, image 2, question… I wanted to know if I can somehow loop my question block to be presented after each image, so that i dont have to create the survey flow manually. I tried to use loop and merge but i didnt manage. the thing is that all pictures are presented in a random order, so the loop is not based on a previous response, it is just present the question after every image

Rank order question - how to export data by ranking (not by things being ranked)?

I’m using a rank order question with 5 options, ranking from 1 to 5 with radio buttons.  When I export the data, I get it by option instead of by ranking.  The example at the top of the image is what I’m getting.  The lower part of the image is what I want. Is there a way to set up the question to yield this result?Is there a way to export the data to get this format? Less important question.  If I want to use the ranking as a transferable ballot (dropping the lowest opinion and redistributing the ranking until 1 option gets 50% +1, is this something that a report or a data analysis selection can produce for me? Thank you very much.

Interest survey gathering info on children - need help please

Hi everyone! I am making an interest survey that requires information on the couple’s children. I am looking to gather info on the child’s name, sex at birth, and birthday?.So if I have a question that says “How many children do you have in this specific age?”. Then the parent choices a number 1-5.If a parent chooses the 2, how do I get information on child 1 and child 2 to show if they select it and then for the other options? Would this be a loop & merge function? If so, I would I do that?I am not sure how to do this, any help would be appreciated and thank you in advance!!

Advanced Radomization for Blocks

Dear all,I would like to apply a advanced randomization for blocks that I can not seem to figure out.  I have 120 blocks including:1 picture per block (12 different pictures in total) 1 text per block (9 different texts + 1 no text in total) all possible combinations of the aboveEach participant is only going to see 12 blocks (i.e. the 12 different pictures). I want to make sure they do not see duplicates (e.g. the same picture or same text) and preferable and a random order. Does anybody have any idea how I can make this work? Any help is appreciated!Maurice

Site intercept survey - triggering a survey x seconds after an event

Does anyone know if it is possible trigger a survey x seconds after a certain event is triggered? For instance, if we want to fire a survey on after someone clicks on a certain button (an event), could we then fire the survey 10 seconds after a user clicks on this button? Would this be something we could do within the Qualtrics UI? Or would this be something we would have to bake into our back-end trigger logic with our Engineering team? I know that it is possible to trigger a survey after a user has spent x amount of time on the site in general, but I'm wondering about x amount of time after a specific event is triggered.

How to carry assigned condition to the next survey

So I am doing a three-part survey. In the first survey, the participants will be randomly assigned into one of the three condition - control, condition1, condition2 and do the task of it. In survey 2 and 3, I want the participants to receive the same condition they have received in the survey 1, instead of being randomized into one of the three conditions again. How can I do that? Plus a small question: I have trouble using the workflow now, it just won’t load and let me use it whenever I click in a workflow to edit, how should I handle this case as quick as possible?

Emails based on randomization

Is there a way to send thank you or reminder emails based on randomization? I need send to specific follow-up surveys (Re-test Concept 1 or Re-Test Concept 2) to respondents based on how they were randomized (whether they received Concept 1 or Concept 2) in an initial survey. I am a relative novice at Qualtrics so I apologize if this has already been answered.

Side by Side question custom validation

Hi all, I’m having an issue with trying to set a custom validation for a side-by-side question. I have two columns, the first column is multiple choice, but I want to set a condition that the participant must select at least one choice. The second column then asks them the frequency of use for each selected choice in column one. Is there a way to firstly only allow people to answer column two for the choices that were selected in the corresponding column? Secondly, can I set it so they must answer the question about frequency before moving on? Just to note the first column is a Likert scale consisting of one option per row and the second frequency column is a drop-down.Thanks in advance,  Abby

Skip Logic Question

Hello everyone! I have a question as it pertains to skip logic. I came across a question we asked on a previous survey (before coming to Qualtrics) that used a specific logic. I am curious how, if at all, this logic would be implemented in Qualtrics. A mock questions is below: Question 1: Do you like spending time outside?Yes, I love it. → Proceed to Q2 Yes, I enjoy it a good amount. → Proceed to Q2 No → Proceed to Q2, Then Skip to End/Q13 Decline to answer → Proceed to Q2, Then Skip to End/Q13 For options 3 and 4, how would we build this logic into a Qualtrics survey? Does Qualtrics allow for this to be done? Anything helps. Thanks! ---BH
