Hello dear Qualtrics users,I currently have an issue with a survey transferred to me by a colleague who left the company. I can access the survey, but the Invitation email/reminder are in her library. Her account has not been deactivated yet, is there any way to get access to this?Thanks a lot for the help!

I am currently building a survey to use to perform a conjoint analysis and would like to include a test to show that people are actually considering between the options presented rather than just selecting them at random. Options I have seen suggested include providing a choice where one option is the obvious favourite, providing the same choice twice to see if they make the same selection, or including a timer to see how long someone spends considering the options.  Does anyone have any experience including such tests in their design? Any advice would be appreciated 

Hi all, I’m wanting to find out a way to create a new variable (via a multiple answer question) so it will tally the number of items participant’s selected. At this moment, the csv data file has their answer like “1, 3, 8, 9” instead of 4.The final option they can select is “I haven’t experienced any” which I’ve coded as 0. I’m wanting to know the number of events people select (minus the final answer), because I have further data regarding the number of events. I know I can manually count each answer, but if I’m collecting 200 participants’ data, this isn’t a very good use of my time.I’ve tried to create a new field/formula, however, it won’t allow me to select the relevant quest

Hey,I conducted a survey with three different versions that were randomly presented to respondents, and I'm curious if there is a way to determine the order in which they answered my survey. In Data & Analysis, I can view or download individual responses, but they appear in the order of my survey flow. Also, I haven't been able to find a way to see the time at which those answers were submitted. Is there any way to do this?

I have a total of 12 questions in a block (say, Q1-Q12) and I want to show them in a manner that Q1 appears for everyone for sure and out of rest (Q2-12) only one should appear in the ratio 8:4:1:1:1:1:4:1:1:1:1 for Q2-12. However, I am not able to find option to do uneven randomization in advanced randomization options for questions of block. Only two options (randomize all or randomize evenly) are available.Is there any way by which I can get the questions shown in desired ratio?Please help. Thanks. 

Hi, I will use Qualtrics to distribute my survey (individual link). In some circumstances, some of the respondents may not in the position to take part in the survey. Therefore, they will forward the invitation email to the appropriate person. I know the individual link can only be used once. My question is will the individual link work if it was forwarded to other person?Thanks. Regards, Houston

Hi! I have a question about loop and merge, and could not find any answers on the forum. I want to randomise the loop order not only between the rows, but also the columns of my loop and merge. I am displaying my images side by side in my question block, as can be seen in the second image. For that to work, I need two fields. I want to randomise the pairing of the images for my experiment. Does anyone maybe have any suggestions for me? I would greatly appreciate it!  

Hello, I am doing a within subject experiment in qualtrics. In the first block, I am asking a matrix 7 questions, presented in random order. In another block I present respondents to a vignette and then ask again the same 7 matrix questions. I would like that in the second block, the prompts of the matrix to appear in the same order as in the baseline.  Does anyone knows how I can do this?  thanks a lot in advance fo your support 

We currently have respondents upload an Excel document with a long list of contacts in it.  I’m researching if it’s possible to have them copy and paste that list directly into the survey somewhere.  The template we provide has 9 headers/columns and can contain a minimum of 16 rows, up to sometimes, but rarely, 15000 rows.Based on my research, here’s what I’ve already tried and why it doesn’t work for our use-case:Using the side by side question type: not enough rows. Embedding an editable HTML table: doesn’t allow users to copy and paste whole columns of information at a time.   Embedding an Excel document: does not save the data that’s been inputted. Are there any other options that I’m missing or is this just beyond the capability of Qualtrics?

HiIs there a way to remove the “Data & Analysis” tab/functionality from a survey? We are preparing an HR survey and do not want to see responses per employee to avoid potential identification based on their answers. Thanks

Hi Community, I have a question regarding to the external data reference field. Because of our company server limited, we are now using workflow to import contact list from the SFTP server instead of using import contact automation. We use an unique variable (something like invoice number and we mapped as external data reference in the workflow) as the 1st layer of identifier and email as the 2nd layer of identifier. Since we have 2 survey and some respondent may include in both survey invitation list, so I am not sure if there is a scenario that:  List A: email externaldatareference abc@abc 12345  List B: email externaldatareference abc@abc AB123

Hi all,I need to make a sort of shopping cart form in Qualtrics where a user can select a certain number of different items while still staying below a budget.For example, say baseballs cost $5 each and basketballs cost $8 each.  Given a budget of $20, a user could select any combination of the following:4 baseballs (or fewer) and 0 basketballs 2 baseballs (or fewer) and 1 basketball 0 baseballs and 2 basketballs (or fewer)The form would prevent the user from selecting 3 baseballs and 1 basketball, as that would total $23, over the $20 limit.  Does anyone know of a way to implement this without creating one question with each possible combination as options?

Dear Qualtrics Community,I have 22 blocks of questions. I would like to randomize the order of 20 of the 22 blocks, but also keep two specific blocks, namely Block 1 and Block 2, in a fixed position within the sequence. For example I want Block 1 to be presented as the 5th block and Block 2 as the 10th block, while the other blocks being randomized.I would greatly appreciate any guidance or suggestions on how to accomplish this in Qualtrics. Is there a feature or functionality that allows for such customization?Thank you very much in advance!

I have been collaborating on a survey with a coworker since early June, and now I can no longer view the results nor edit. When I click on the Survey (still visible under my “Shared with me Projects”), Qualtrics opens a new tab with a new log in screen. My UN and PW do not work on the screen. The owner has not changed my permissions. Any ideas? Even the “edit Survey” option is active under the <…> menu, but again, I cannot get past the new log in screen.

Hello! I am a capstone student trying to create a compatibility test for my area of practice. I am new to Qaultrics but have watched several basecamp videos. Can anyone please help guide me in configuring a survey with a nominal result at the end based on respondents’ answers? I have previously tried the scoring option and it gives a numerical result. Any advice would be much appreciated! 

We are a consultancy.  We have created a survey on behalf of a customer.  Now that the survey is completed, we have a requirement to delete all of the related data (contact lists, etc) from the platform.Is there any logging in the system that I can share with my customer that contact lists have been deleted?  Or a whole survey is deleted?

Hi! I have elements in the survey flow of survey1 with lots of embedded data and complex branching. I need to copy a few of these elements to the survey flow of survey2, without copying the whole survey. How can I do this?

Hi,Can somebody please help me with helping me to re-open an expired survey.  I have several people who haven’t yet completed the survey and when I checked the link to the survey to resend it to them again for completion the link took me to a page that said the survey had expired. I have gone in to ‘Survey’ then Options and I’ve changed the date of expiry and then tried to create a new link but it still sends me back the expired survey page. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. tks 

For one of my projects, we use the embedded temporary codes, assigned randomly to participants. This has generated duplication. Is there a way of creating a system of B codes instead, where these are given to participants in 7’s? For instance, B00000001, B00000008, B00000015, B00000022, B00000029 etc. If so, how would this be set up and how can I make that the syste

Hi all,I changed my next and back buttons to text, which added in < and > symbols, e.g. “next >”. I now want to change them back to the default arrows but when I paste in an arrow →  it still has the > symbol. There does not seem to be an option to restore the button defaults without restoring all of the theme changes.This is what it looks like in my dashboard.What shows up.How can I remove the >?Thanks,Leon

It would be great if after you make a google sheet task, that you can add a field to an existing google sheet. For example: I have a survey that I just created multiple workflows that export out to a google sheet (task), but I forgot a field that I wanted to be included on these google sheets. I would love if I could go back and edit the task, and add the field, and it will then add to the google sheet. Currently, I have to recreate the task with the field that I forgot.

Hello!We have a 1-5 scale in a CES question and we would like it to have the 5 on the top for mobile and the 5 to the right in desktop. For example, if we use the 1-5 order, we have the right view in desktop (1 to the left and 5 to the right) but not in mobile. Is it possible to define the order based on the device type? Thanks!
