I can't change the background of my survey

I am trying to change the background of my survey to a picture, as you can see at the bottom, but when I go to view my survey, the background picture is not there. Can I include a variable code snippet to my anonymous survey ulr?

We are currently sending end-of-purchase emails to all customers who complete a purchase. I would like to include in those emails a link to a Qualtrics survey but one that is personalized and that I know who the customer is. The problem is that the sending of that survey is not done from Qualtrics. The flow would be as follows: the client contracts with us and that is the trigger to receive an email from another platform and wants to embed the personal link. Some help? Thank you

Embedded data - Math Operations - to add an Embedded value with a formula but it is not working

Hi All,When I try to add the below Math operation in embedded data, it is not populating any values. Why stores 'embedded data' the data according to the labeling of an old discret choice experiment?

Hello, I have designed a discret choice experiment (DCE) with 13 randomized choice tasks on the basis of an already existing DCE with five choice tasks. The javascript for the experiment is completely new and the html for the visualization of the tasks also. You may find a excerpt of the embedded data and one exemplary choice task in the screenshots below. When I click through the experiment and then look at the data, it turns out, that the first five choice tasks are stored in the data with the labeling of the old experiment. The choice tasks six to 13 however, are saved with the new labeling - as it is intended to. I have tried different approaches like writing the embedded data again but I do not find the reason for this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!Thank you!

Branching or Skip Logic after two missed attention checks

Good afternoon XM Community,I am moving from a different platform for surveys, yet cannot figure out the answer to my question, even after searching this amazing community.I have my survey setup with two (2) attention checks; one IMC and one nonsensical question. I want to terminate the survey if both are missed. I can add scoring to each question, yet do not know where or how to have XM send them to a terminate page if both are missed.Suggestions? Creating a fake "recording audio" graphic

I'm running a study where participants will perform an impromptu public speaking task over Qualtrics. We're going to tell them that Qualtrics will automatically record their audio and submit their speech after four minutes. We don't actually want to record them, we just want them to think they're being recorded. I'm wondering if there is a way to create some type of fake "audio recording" graphic to display on the screen during this task. It would be great if it had a red blinking light or something to make it seem real.Does anyone have any leads on how I might do this?

Is it possible to randomize one text page across blocks?

Within one block, I have several text pages and questions about one topic. I would like to randomize one of these text pages across blocks so that in every block only one but any of these certain pages could occur? Is this possible or do I need to do a million different blocks? :)

Attachments Do Not Open In Survey

HelloFor whatever reason as of late multiple people are unable to view/download attachments in the surveys. When they click on the link that was uploaded to the survey, it asked you to "open" and not save/download/view?Help

Page breaks not working after importing blocks from library

I decided to merge two Qualtrics surveys together by uploading blocks from one survey to the library and then importing it into another survey. I first noticed that page breaks were not included in the blocks that were imported. This is annoying but I added them to the relevant blocks. However, now, even though they are added, all the questions are still on one page rather than one question per page. I attempted to fix this problem by going to look and feel and changing the settings to one question per page. However, this has just caused another problem. Now, the timer function (Timing question) that automatically advances the next question after 120 seconds no longer works because, I guess, technically they are two questions. Now there is one question per page, the timer is on a separate page to the questions I want the timer to work with. This results in the page not auto-advancing. Overall, it's super frustrating, as when the surveys were separate, everything worked well. Any help

What licenese is required for a customized end of survey redirect

Hello all,I just opened a Qualtrics account with a free trial.I am interested in conducting a survey using a panel, so I need to a redirect to URL to redirect participants to the Panel.However, the option is blocked, it says: "Redirect to a URL ... (Unavailable for your brand)"I am guessing it is because of the free trial. I wanted to know whether the "Standard" account is sufficient to get this feature, or I need a more advanced account for this specific feature to work.

How to autonumber the questions in case of branching?

Can we do the autonumbering if branching is there in the survey flow? After Q3, there are 2 different branches and I want the remaining questions to be autonumnbered.

Sorting uploaded images

Hello, I am a Qualtrics beginner and unfortunately I have not been able to find an answer for my problem. I would like to give the participants of my survey the possibility to upload pictures and videos. I guess the best way to do that is via the "upload file" question, right?At the end of the survey I want to assign the uploaded pictures and videos back to the individual respondents. When I go to the results of the question and download all the files there, I just get a huge ZIP file, with images/videos that have no discernible characteristics that I could use to assign them back to individual respondents. Is there a way to reassign the images/videos of one respondent to that respondent?Thanks in advance

Validation on a question block containing a link to different survey.

We are trying to find a validation condition inside a survey (Survey 1) for a question that contains a link to a different survey (Survey 2) on Qualtrics. So when a person in Survey 1 reaches a particular question that contains a link to Survey 2. They should be able to proceed further in survey 1 only if they complete survey 2. Is there any way by which we can apply this sort of validation? Additionally, how can you make one automatically redirects to Survey 1 after completing survey 2. Furthermore, we want to put validation on the link of Survey 2, so that once it's used the person should not be able to use it again.

How does Qualtrics set the survey duration for unsubmitted/unfinished surveys?

I'm working on an analysis of our unsubmitted/unfinished surveys and looking through the data to see if we can determine a pattern between "garbage" (I accidentally clicked on my phone) and "valid" (I clicked and then got distracted) unsubmitted responses. I see the duration for unsubmitted responses as anywhere between 0 and 7.5 days, which I don't understand, as the Qualtrics documentation says the duration starts when they load the page and ends when they submit. With the survey setup to auto-submit after 48 hours, I expect all the unsubmitted responses to have a duration of 0 seconds (page didn't fully load) or 172,800 seconds (48hrs). Nothing in-between and nothing greater than 172,800.How is Qualtrics logging these unsubmitted responses at all these other times?

We ask the standard NPS question on our post-interaction transactional surveys. Is there any concern with combing the NPS result from those surveys with the NPS question from our standard NPS relationship survey?

Decrement Quotas

I have quotes in a survey that I am working on. I did a few test messages and then deleted the response so that the section with the quotes reappears as options to select while taking the survey. I wasn’t aware that I also needed to decrement the responses so that they time slots would show available in the survey. How can I decrement responses that have been deleted? I cannot get the selections to show in the survey.

Question randomization from two random subsets

Hello! I am creating a new survey and have encountered an issue that I am unable to resolve. I have 2 subsets of images. Subset A includes 10 images and Subset B includes 30 images. Now I want to show a total of 20 images on the same page. 3 of the 20 images will be randomly selected from Subset A and 17 of the 20 images will be randomly selected from Subset B. In addition, when the 20 images are shown, I want their order to be randomized rather than fixed in a particular order so that different survey takers will see the images presented in different orders.I would greatly appreciate any help you may provide regarding this issue. How to translate "Next" button text for a survey in multiple languages?

For a multi-country project, I have recently translated a survey into two languages, and the users can choose which language they want to take the survey in. I think there is some browser language detection automation to determine which default language should display (is that correct???), but I do see the language selector which allows the user to manually choose their language.I believe I have explored all of the ways to complete the translation process (both on screen, download/upload txt file, etc) and I cannot figure out how to offer a translated version of the "Next" or "Submit" button in the users' selected language! It seems I have to pick one language for the button text and hope the respondents can figure out what it says.Am I missing something?

Matrix table data

Hi allI have collected a number of responses for my survey in Matrix table questions. I asked individuals about their level of education obtained for them and their parents, with the levels of education in the rows and people (parents and participant) in columns of the table. When I export the data, data columns are displayed in terms of the rows (levels of education) rather than people (which you can see in the Excel screenshot). Is there any way to change the way the way this data displays? Thanks!

Using Authenticator to check IF: Email is NOT on a list (and then add it if it is)

We are wanting to stop duplicates submissions using authenticator and contact list trigger in the following manner:Check if email is NOT on contact list. If not, they may take the survey. Then, the email is added to the contact list, meaning they would fail auth if trying again with the same email.What is the best way to achieve this? Is JavaScript required for this or can I do it with the graphical interface?
