Hello everyone! Has anyone else started using the new features under the "Results" tab in the survey function? I'm unclear as to whether it's just in beta for selected users or is available to everyone (or does the function need to be turned on at the user level? Thoughts appreciated!

The initial question looks like this: In the following question, we want anybody who selected 1-3 (very difficult to slightly difficult) to see only those options that they selected 1-3 for in a follow up question on reasons why: The problem we have is:we can make three different carry forwards for level of difficulty, but then if nobody selected one of them, say "very difficult," the table still appears and it appears with no rows. if people select one of each level of difficulty, they see three tables each with one row (we'd like to collapse them). Hello folks, First time poster, please be kind :) I'm designing surveys for university students. At any time, each student will be taking at least one course, but could be taking several others alongside it. I want to run a survey where some core questions are asked once for each student about their general experiences so far, but with a section about the courses that repeats for each course they are taking. A loop and merge block for the course-related questions would seem to be the obvious solution, but I want to avoid asking students which modules they're on, because we do already have that information in our student information system. I'll regularly be surveying 50k+ students at a time, and each student can have a unique combination of courses - we have a flexible offering where people can put together their own degree, so I don't think specifying a list of fields is an option, What's the best approach for me to use to achieve this? Hi everyone!I have an English survey translated to Portuguese. When I "Preview" or "Print" the survey, changing the language on the drop-down menu actually changes the language of the survey.However, when accessing the survey through the distribution link (once its published), changing the language in the drop-down menu has no effect whatsoever. I am pretty sure I am doing it right, since the "Preview" version allows me to change the language.The "Powered by Qualtrics" does change to Portuguese when I choose it from the drop-down menu.I have tried searching on Google and on this forum for this issue but did not find anything.

My project supervisors and peers have completed my survey to test it, but now it won't let me delete the responses. There are no check boxes in the data and analysis section to allow me to select the responses I want to get rid of, and on the ... at the side of responses the only options are View Response and Export to PDF

Completely new user here and I want to collect data about who attends to help us facilitate our events. I want to collect their name, how long they were there, what department they are from, and what role they played in the event. I set up a side by side question with columns to collect this info but I can't get the results or report views I'm looking for. Ideally, I'd like to have it where I could sort or filter by any of these columns and it also allow me to choose what other columns I'd like associated with that entry. For instance, it would be great to filter by department and see the names associated with that department and how many hours they spent at our events or get total hours for each department. With the current set up it is giving me results for each column individually but not linking or correlating them to the other adjacent columns. Hey all,I just started using Qualtrics this past week and am excited to continue learning more! I am currently exploring how to predefine default code values for specific answer choices. For example, we always code "Yes","No","Don't Know", and "Prefer not to answer" choices a certain way. Is there a way to predefine these so they automatically populate without having to continually recode them?Thanks!Scott

Hi there, We are designing a survey about the curriculum resources teachers use. We are interesting in testing whether the way teachers source and develop curriculum resources depends on the subjects they teach. We ask teachers the subjects they teach via a multiple choice question in the demographics section at the start of the survey.Later on, we want teachers to be presented with one of the subjects they teach, chosen at random. Then we are going to ask a suite of questions about that particular subject. We won't do a merge and loop (i.e. we only want to ask about one subject at random from the subjects teachers say they teach). Is there any way we can do this? I have managed to pipe multiple choice answers into later questions, but can only pipe all selections, rather than one selected choice at random.Thank you

Before I submit this as a product idea, I wanted to get some feedback on it. As a Brand Admin, I push my users to various support/help articles on the Qualtrics site. I noticed today that when a help article references a setting (especially an on/off option) it doesn't tell what the default setting (value) isThis is an example. While it shows you where you can change the setting, it doesn't say what the default is. Nor if you can change this default for your domain as the Brand Admin. I can assume that the setting shown (in this case "on") is the default, but I don't think that's intuitive nor may it be consistent. What do you think?

Recently, a decision was made to see about reversing the order that response options appeared in a saved question block for our company's end of course survey. No one thought that this would be an issue as the question order was simply reversed.But today it was discovered that things indeed get changed, and not in a way that makes any sense. We have 4 questions on on our survey, with 5 response options...providing us with a 5 section pie chart (preferred output method) for us to look at the data. But now that same pie chart has 10 sections, and the data filter now has a series of sequential numbers in it. This is what I am referring to.Has anyone experienced this before? Is it just that the question repose order was reversed? I am hoping it

Hello,I collected pilot data with my Qualtrics survey and downloaded the results in the form of an excel spreadsheet. When I opened the file, I saw that some start and end dates were unusual in the sense that they were not actual dates and time but decimal numbers (e.g., one row has 2.799 as start date and 52.809 as end date). You can see this in the attached screenshot where I highlighted said odd numbers. What does this mean? Thank in advance for your response.

I have two questions concerning the Web Service element:Are those POST requests in the web service task being made by the browser or by the qualtrics server?Second, is it possible to take a variable from the survey link query string and have it automatically populated in the body parameter of the POST request?Thanks in advance!

Hi!First of all, if my question is posted in the wrong part of this forum, let me know and i'll be sure to change is.I have a question regarding a survey i'm building. Within the survey, there's a question (q27) that should not be displayed when a certain answer is given to a question earlier in the survey (q25). The extra complication is that this latter question (q25) is only displayed to a small portion of respondents (due to answers previous to that question). I tried adding display logic to q27 stating it should only display when q25 is not answered in a particular way. However, after doing so qualtrics informed me of a 'severe error' in my survey due to display logic problems. I suspect it has to do with q25 not being displayed to everyone. The strange part is; the display logic i built seems to work perfectly fine. Q27 shows when either Q25 is never displayed or when the display requirement regarding q25 is met, and doesn't show when the requirement rega

The download process starts and works on a very infrequent basis. Is there some trick to this or is it cranky?

I'm trying to create a Contact List by importing a csv with 3 email columns: organization, personal and 2nd personal. By default, the contact list only takes in the organization email and I can only send the emails in this column. However, I want to be able to send emails to all the columns. But the two other email column is in embedded data and I cannot seem to figure out a way to include it while sending emails. Can someone help in figuring out this issue?

This is question is actuially has two components: First, what are best practices with regards to sending out follow up notifcation emails for respondents to complete and/or start sureveys sent to them? What is considered acceptable wording here etc. with regards to tone, professional or informal? What is the best cadence with regards to improving survey completion rates? Two, does Qualtrics distinguish between respondents who have "started the survey but not completed" and respondents who have "not begun the survey at all" with these follow up email notifications? I usually rename all the questions in our surveys so they work with our stata code for common questions. So instead of having Q1 I will have Age, etc. When I copy these questions (or blocks of question) to a library so I can use them again in a different survey all the questions revert to Q1, Q2, etc. How do I keep the the tags so I don't have to rename everything again?When importing questions or blocks from a library there used to be an option to keep question tags, but I no longer see it. What I need is a way for this to work in both directions - when copying from survey to library and when importing from library to survey.Any suggestions?

I am working on a survey project with a colleague who is collecting the name and a picture of each of his students in a Qualtrics survey to help learn their names. He has collected the surveys, but we are stumped trying to find a way to combine the actual images in a report with the student's name for example. Our ideal solution would be to have one page per respondent that includes a large version of the submitted photo in addition to their name, major, etc. Has anyone had any luck with something along these lines?

Can I create a public access link for my managers to see the new results page?

In my survey, I want to first select 15 questions out of 50 questions. Then, I want to select 10 questions out of 35 remaining questions. However, all of my questions are designed as a 1 block. Therefore, I need to select from the 50 blocks. In each block, I have two questions. The problem is that the second question in each block is different for the first 15 and the second 10. I am designing a survey which will be applied in 20 different classes. I have 20 different excel files with the list of students. I am trying to implement the following.Q1: Select your class.Q2: Select your name from the list below. The way I am doing it currently: 20 different Q2's conditioned on Q1. Depending on the participant's class choice in Q1, the class list of that class is shown. I am searching for an easier way of implementing this. Example with 2 classes:Q1. Select class:a. 1b. 2Q.2 (not shown) 1:ABQ3. (not shown) 2:CDQ4. Choose your name:I want A,B or C,D to be choices here depending on whether class 1 or 2 is selected.

How did you all manage sending a survey using the SMS 2-way method? We're concerned about reaching people who don't have text service on their phone because we don't want them to get charged for it. Is there a way to set it up on qualtrics so the consumers don't get charged?

I have the requirement to randomly redirect to a new page out of 4 links at the end of surveys. Since end of survey block do not have option to add javascript code, I put the redirection code in the previous block as below -Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnPageSubmit(function(){ const chat_version = ["https://link1.com", "https://link1.com","https://link1.com"]; setTimeout(function () { window.location.href = chat_version[url_choice];},15000)}); The above code sometimes work and sometimes doesn't redirect at the end of survey. I am unable to figure out the reason behind this. It's quite random and I cannot find the reason behind this.
