Hi all,I'm trying to randomly change the text and the order of answer options in a single multiple-choice question using JavaScript.Here's what I'm trying to do: Randomly change the question text: Option 1: "Here is a 7-point scale on which the political views that people might hold are arranged from extremely liberal to extremely conservative." Option 2: "Here is a 7-point scale on which the political views that people might hold are arranged from extremely conservative to extremely liberal." Reorder the multiple-choice options based on the question text: If the question starts with "extremely liberal", the options should be in this order: Extremely Liberal Liberal Slightly Liberal Moderate, Middle of the Road Slightly Conservative Conservative Extremely Conservative

Hi all,I’ve modified my custom CSS (thanks to some very helpful questions and answers here on the forum!) to increase the width of the overall survey, and also of the questions. However, that doesn’t seem to increase the width of the answers, which remain stuck at the original width. I’ve scoured the questions here and can’t figure out what CSS tag refers to answer width -- can someone help? (My questions are either text entry or multiple choice displayed horizontally.) Here’s the CSS code I’ve got, added to the overall survey Look & Feel:.Skin .QuestionText{min-width: 1100px!important;}.Skin .SkinInner {min-width: 1200px!important;} And a screenshot of the survey -- see how the question text goes much wider than the answer boxes: 

I was trying to set up a form in Qualtrics using a side-by-side question. Side-by-side would work well as it means a lot of the rows/ columns are visible on one screen, BUT I ran into a few problems. Here is a simplified version of what I’m trying to do:But it gets a bit more complicated, as ideally the codes in the drop down are dependent on other answers (maybe this isn’t possible). AND the drop down options include ‘Other specify’, so I assume I’ll need a open text box column to the right of each drop down question for other specify comments? HOWEVER I think the critical issue is that I can’t have a drop-down question that is multi-coded? Dear Qualtrics-masters, please help me with this issue. For my master-research I have created a survey with 20 questions. Each question has 3 answer options of which only one is correct. In the scoring of the survey I chose 1 point for the correct answers and left the other two empty, assuming that in the end it'll score the total for 20 questions based on the number of correct answers.See screenshot Now I have the data exported to CSV as numeric values. The survey is long closed, so I can't correct the design of it (i didn't do any embedded things in the flow to calculate the score automatically, that was way to complicated for me). And in the CSV file I see that it shows which answer the respondents chose, just number 1, 2 or 3. Hi everyone, I have a side by side drop-down question where I need to add a constant sum validation to ensure that the total wage between the three choices does not exceed more than $2. Trying to send an SMS invite but would like the survey link to show “Download now,” but it doesn’t appear to have pulled through - any insight? 

We have been attemping to pay for our renewal since June and have had zero luck in getting a response. We have attempted to have an invoice issued several times, have contacted our account manager, renewals, support, nothing. We finally heard back from someone who said we would receive our invoice within two business days - this was two weeks ago, we haven’t received anything. Our account is set to expire today. Can someone please assist?

Hello Team, Our client prefers to use SMTP Relay to transfer all Qualtrics emails to their own email server.However, they do not wish to use either basic authentication or OAuth 2.0. Instead, they would like to authenticate using DKIM in the emails.I reviewed the documentation, but DKIM is not listed as a supported option for authentication.Is there a possible workaround that could be implemented in this scenario? Best regards,Martin Vetov

Hello everyone. I’m kinda new to Qualtrics and I’m setting a survey and a contingent valuation.Basically, firstly respondents will state their average spending on a bottle of wine. After that, respondents will be shown their average spending as WTP for a bottle of a different wine (dichotomous question). Then, I would like to ask respondents if they are willing to pay a +20% for the same bottle but I would like to show them directly their WTP increased by a 20%.Could you guys help me out on how to do it?

Hi all,has anyone ever seen a similar error?The error occurs after a user accesses an external training platform and then clicks on an anonymous link (which is supposed to lead to a survey to answer).The English translation of the error is as follows:“You can continue working in other areas of the system by clicking on the button or on the top link. If the problem is not gone, please contact your administrator and provide the following details of the error:  Error: 3ee962fa 9ea8-4dc4-8df3-c3708b0a1c2f” The user is present in the contact list associated with the survey. Thanks in advance for your help.Chiara

I created a survey a couple of years ago where with a matrix question with a 5-point scale. The next question only displayed the question options for those who had select 4 or 5. It appears that I was able to do this with Display Logic last time, but this time going in to add the display logic, it is not showing the scale options.First screen shot is from the old survey, where you can see that I selected only those selecting only those that were extremely interested or very interested. vs. the option I am seeing now that has no option for only those selecting only certain scale options.Is there a new way to do this now?

Hello, community, I would like to check if you know a particular to be able to send the reminder in a different channel where the invitation was sent. let's say, I want to send the first contact (invitation) via email and the second contact (reminder) via SMS. I’m attempting to import data collected outside of Qualtrics into a shell survey as embedded data and some of the fields have multiple lines with bullet points. I added the line break with Opt+Return (mac) in the CSV file. I wasn’t optimistic that it would work and, shocker, it didn’t.So next I’ve tried to include a <br> tag, but that still didn’t seem to work. I attempted to add it prior to import and also within Data & Analysis after import, neither of which worked. Adding it before import kept it converted the <br> tag to “<br>” and editing and adding it after import in the Data & Analysis tab, it didn’t show as plain text, but also didn’t actually add a line break. Since it’s imported data and not captured within a Qualtrics survey, I don’t believe I can actually code anything, but I’m trying to display this data on a dashboard and it’s not ideal to have lines running together.

Hi!Do anybody know, how to grab the value for the sum of possible points in the endresult of a scoring? I need to rebuild the 83.9% as a dashboard result. But in the dataset is just the “470” for the score.I can also grab the count of items, but this didn´t works as a denominator, because every question has a different score and I can´t use a fix number, because the count of questions changed by the display logic. So both values are dynamic in my case.And different score categories for each options don´t works, because there are hundreds of them. But Qualtrics can do this, like you see above. It´s sums up the possible points. But where are they or the result (if possible, as piped text) ? Thanks a lot!Clemens

Hi there I’m setting up a survey and testing it across devices. One test on a Samsung phone has resulted in the following: There’s a grey bar with an arrow to the right of the questions (see screenshot). If you click on it, it disappears and nothing happens. Any ideas what that could be and, especially, how to make it disappear altogether? Thank you!  

I am working on an anonymous survey and would like to invite participants to a follow-up study after they have submitted the initial survey, as this would help them feel more comfortable completing it. A fellow researcher suggested displaying an additional question after they click the submit button to ask for their consent.Could you advise on how I can implement this feature?

Do users share surveys by exporting and importing?I am interested in personality surveys for Hexaco or the five factor model? If someone has created a survey that I could import, that would be most helpful. 

Hi,I need help with the second “other” field in a matrix table. I use custom validation to force user to respond after entering something in the first text field. But somehow for the second one, I can't make the user to do the same. I have been redoing the custom validation, but to no avail. Do I need JS or what?  

I have a workflow set up in Qualtrics for a survey project where an email is triggered when a participant starts but doesn't finish the survey. The workflow event is triggered when a response is created, with the condition that 'Finished' is 'False'. This sends an email with a retake link, allowing the participant to complete their survey later. Now, I want to set up a reminder email. I presume this would use the 'Schedule Event' function, but here's where it gets tricky. I want the condition for this event to be that the participant received the initial workflow email a week ago and hasn't responded since. In this case, we'd resend the follow up email with the retake link. Additionally, if the participant finishes their survey after the first email, the second workflow should not be triggered, as we don't want to send them unnecessary links after they’ve already submitted a complete response. I'm reaching out for assistance to see if there's a more efficient way to achieve this.

I’m interested in understanding how other companies handle surveys that are not specifically related to an employee. Do these surveys typically get reassigned to another individual or are they removed entirely from the system? Any insights on best practices would be greatly appreciated!
