If we put this code at the brand level look and feel <style type="text/css">li:last-of-type { border-top: 2px solid #8D8D8D4D; }li:last-of-type label { margin-top:10px; }</style> is there code that can be put into the individual questions to remove the line from the questions where it’s not necessary? 

I have a matrix question that allows multiple answers. I was wondering whether it is possible to populate each selection into follow-up questions.For example, in the matrix I have rows (A, B, C, etc.) and columns (1, 2, 3, etc.). If a respondent selects A1, A2, and B3, the follow-up questions will ask opinions on A1, A2, and B3 (i.e., agree or disagree with them)The following approaches do not work for me:(1) adding branches is not feasible because the matrix question produces hundreds of possible combinations.(2) I was able to add all selected choices (selected rows in the matrix) or all selected answers (selected columns) as piped text but not their combinations (cells).(3) Similarly,  loop & merge does not work since it allows only looping over selected rows or columns. And adding piped text in additional fields is not helpful because selected choices or selected answers come in groups and individual choice/answer cannot be separated out. 

The simple layout suits the style I would like to use for a survey. However the auto focus option is not available for the simple layout. Do anyone have a suggestion how to solve that or have a custom code for that? Thanks in advance!

I have a dataset that I have imported as a contact list into my survey. There is a string variable called “tool_list”, which is a comma separated list of tools for each recipient of the survey. For example, the value of tool_list could be “tool A, tool B, tool C, tool D” or “tool A, tool E”, etc. I want to use custom javascript to split the string, and then create multiple choice options for a question based on the new strings. For example, if a person had the tool_list “tool A, tool B, tool X, tool Z”, I want them to see a survey question with the multiple choice options a) tool A b) tool B c) tool X d) tool Z. They should be able to select as many options as they would like to. One thing that complicates this task is that the length of the lists varies person to person. Thank you for any comments or ideas!! :)

Hi all,  Is there a way to force all Likert Scale responses, but leave the comment section next to it as optional? It seems as though when forcing a response it forces both.   Thanks in advance. 

I need to create question that is asking for the last 4 numbers of phone number and then their initial.  How do we make sure they add just 4 numbers and one letter and the right order?

Hello,I have a simple survey that should land on an information page, followed by a block of demographic questions, then a random assignment block. The preview looks fine.  The survey flow appears to be correct. But, the published links skip the first two blocks and jump directly to random assignment.I have gone through every trouble shooting step I can find online.Added page breaks at the end of the first two blocks Shuffled blocks, saved them, published in the wrong order (didn’t do anything to behavior of link), before returning it to the correct order and republishing.I wrote the HTML code for the random assignment blocks and there’s almost nothing there.  Just a small frame and a link.  It’s all super clean.  No characters out of place. Is there code under the hood somewhere else that I can inspect?  Do I just need to rebuild the survey from scratch to get it to behave?

I am using "Conjoint Dynamic Images" to run a conjoint study with images. I have four attributes: one for price with 3 levels, and the other three attributes each have 2 levels. I’ve created 8 images to represent all combinations of the three non-price attributes. My goal is to display these attributes using images, while showing only the price as text. However, sometimes the survey shows one of the other attributes as text instead of the price, and there is no price attribute shown in the conjoint choices. How can I resolve this issue? I’ve followed all the instructions carefully, so I’m not sure why this is happening.

Hi everyone, I am trying to create a matrix with 21 statements. Is it possible to group them into 3 groups in the results but randomize them in the survey takers’ view? So far I have only been able to randomize them within the groups and randomize the groups themselves.

I’m looking to add a URL from my embedded data into the question text. However, when I do this, half of the URL gets cut off in mobile view. To view the full URL, the user would need to scroll to the side, which isn’t ideal. The URL also isn’t clickable - just showing up as static text. How can I adjust this? 

I an trying to have folks select from many files at the end of a survey from a multi-select question, and then email links to the files selected. The best I have come up with is:Add the Qualtrics file identifier number as a recode value Branch based on number of files chosen (up to 10) Set embedded data fields for each answer Send the email with the embedded data fields with unique file ids amongst 10 email templates in urls to provide only the files selected.Is there a better/cleaner less human error prone way of managing this?

In the attached photo, I have a matrix question. I’m looking for some JavaScript so that a future question will only appear if at least 2 shows are selected. It does not matter if the boxes selected are computer, mobile, or tablet. Regular Qualtrics display logic gets massive. Qualtrics support suggested I ask the community about a JavaScript option.

Good Morning,I am attempting to convert a paper enrollment form into a Qualtrics survey. To prevent cheating, we require our 4-H poultry project participants to register their birds before check-in. I have my survey divided into three blocks: personal contact info for the member, bird information for identification at check-in, and a finish and sign. I have a loop and merger set on the second block with a yes or no question at the end of the block, and a page break in between,  yes is set in the workflow to trigger a return to the beginning of the block and refill the answers, no is supposed to send them to the finish and sign block and ending the survey. it feels like I've tried every configuration, Skip logic on No, branch to blocks in survey flow, both, neither. every time I get two chances to fill in new info, and the next is already filled with my first two answers. I was able to get help and an operational survey in Google Docs, but not every

I am creating a survey where a parent will complete a questionnaire about their child. I then want the parent to send the questionnaire to a teacher to also complete the questionnaire about their child. Is there a way that Qualtrics can generate a link to make it easy for the parent to email the questionnaire link to the teacher? Also - can I generate an automatic code to link the questionnaires together? Thanks for any advice you can give.

Hi all,I’ve modified my custom CSS (thanks to some very helpful questions and answers here on the forum!) to increase the width of the overall survey, and also of the questions. However, that doesn’t seem to increase the width of the answers, which remain stuck at the original width. I’ve scoured the questions here and can’t figure out what CSS tag refers to answer width -- can someone help? I was trying to set up a form in Qualtrics using a side-by-side question. Side-by-side would work well as it means a lot of the rows/ columns are visible on one screen, BUT I ran into a few problems. Here is a simplified version of what I’m trying to do:But it gets a bit more complicated, as ideally the codes in the drop down are dependent on other answers (maybe this isn’t possible). AND the drop down options include ‘Other specify’, so I assume I’ll need a open text box column to the right of each drop down question for other specify comments? HOWEVER I think the critical issue is that I can’t have a drop-down question that is multi-coded? Dear Qualtrics-masters, please help me with this issue. For my master-research I have created a survey with 20 questions. Each question has 3 answer options of which only one is correct. In the scoring of the survey I chose 1 point for the correct answers and left the other two empty, assuming that in the end it'll score the total for 20 questions based on the number of correct answers.See screenshot Now I have the data exported to CSV as numeric values. The survey is long closed, so I can't correct the design of it (i didn't do any embedded things in the flow to calculate the score automatically, that was way to complicated for me). And in the CSV file I see that it shows which answer the respondents chose, just number 1, 2 or 3. Hi everyone, I have a side by side drop-down question where I need to add a constant sum validation to ensure that the total wage between the three choices does not exceed more than $2. Trying to send an SMS invite but would like the survey link to show “Download now,” but it doesn’t appear to have pulled through - any insight? 

We have been attemping to pay for our renewal since June and have had zero luck in getting a response. We have attempted to have an invoice issued several times, have contacted our account manager, renewals, support, nothing. We finally heard back from someone who said we would receive our invoice within two business days - this was two weeks ago, we haven’t received anything. Our account is set to expire today. Can someone please assist?
