Survey Platform

Hello,  We recently added a new Embedded Data field to our survey, and I am looking for a way to backfill the values for our historical surveys. The new embedded field is employee names and will vary from survey to survey.  Does anyone know if there a way I can mass edit/backfill embedded data into historical surveys? If so, can you point me in the right direction on how to get it done? I am newer to Qualtrics.  Thanks! 

Hello! I was hoping someone would be able to provide some aid with a setup I’m attempting to complete. I started by creating a survey to people where they can provide available dates and times for an appointment. Once they complete this survey I’ll receive an email with the list they provided and determine which date and time works for me. After I have found a good date and time, every email has a link at the bottom to an anonymous survey where I can enter the person’s information and suggested date and time. Once I complete that survey it’ll trigger an SMS message with a link to the appointment reminder survey and they can determine whether to keep the time or reschedule. If they reschedule the process starts over again until they approve. Finally, once the time is approved I’ll either receive a confirmation or a request for a reminder the day prior to the appointment and I can schedule that SMS to go out then. Initially, when completing the second survey where I input the information

Hi everyone,I'm experiencing an issue with the automatic creation of users via SSO. The SSO integration was implemented some time ago, and existing users who have been using SSO can still log in without any problems.However, new users are getting a "User not authorized" error when they try to log in, and their accounts are not being created automatically as expected.I also tried manually creating the user first and then asking them to log in, but the same login error appears.Has anyone else faced this issue? Any idea what could be causing it or how to resolve it?Thanks in advance!

Hi, is there a way to PDF export all individuals responses at ONCE as PDFs from the Data & Analysis page?  Currently, this seems to be one-by-one from this page - is there examples of how this can be done? Thanks

Hi there. Not sure if I selected the correct category but here is my question. Has anyone used Qualtrics to create a survey/form for the use of tracking the loaning of equipment. We are looking for an easy to use system of checking out equipment (i.e. Swivl camera, etc) and also checking those same items back in. We like the idea of using Qualtrics due to some of the of the features like the ticketing system, and email reminder actions that we could most likely implement with the tracking of items and their retrieval from those we loan items to.

Hello!I’m trying to do somewhat complicated counterbalancing of my questions. I have 4 question and answer combinations to display followed by 2 questions for them. The types of combinations are such that we have some changes to the answer as we are looking at effects of these changes on trust in the answers:no change to the answer adding an indication of certainty (‘probably’) adding a first person indication of uncertainty (“I’m not sure, but”) adding a third person indication of uncertainty (“It’s not clear, but”)Each of these sets of 4 question and answer combinations are themselves within 4 different categories (food, sports, medicine, and acronyms), with 2 items in each of the categories (for example, food has Iron Soy Jelly and Hasperat). Hello team, need your support with proper setting for a survey:I need for each participant to assign randomly 20 adjectives from the list of totals 93 (type of question - Matrix Table). To be precise - here people should assess the role of middle manager in general. For each participant there should be a new set of randomly chosen adjectives. I use stnd randomization function here.     Then the same 20 randomly chosen adjectives for a participant should be used in the next question with the same logic (Likert, 5 options to answer). This time people should assess these descriptions for a men in general. Same as for #2, but for women in general.Would appreciate your advises how to set up such survey.Thank you in advance! 

I'm using the Compose Email tool to distribute a survey to a list. I am getting an error which is preventing the email from getting sent, but the error just says:"There were validation errors. Correct the errors and try again.”This message is not very helpful…I double-check the content of the message (including in HTML mode); I also double-checked the list but cannot see anything wrong.What should I do?

I have screenshots of product items with prices, displayed as an image form. I want to add the prices of all the products selected by the participants. Suppose they choose 5 out of 10 items (as shown in the images); the next page should display the summation of all the selected items. Is it possible to execute this?

When I check the data and analysis sections, some of the data appears blank, while other parts are still intact.Could you please advise what might be causing this? Dear Community, We currently have the following situation: we would like our sales colleagues to survey physicians. We are conducting these interviews offline via the Qualtrics app. In some cases, certain physicians will be surveyed multiple times. To save time, we would like to display the answers to the demo questions from the first interview for subsequent interviews. The physicians are selected at random, but we document their identities using a participant ID/physician code. We have defined and saved this question field and the relevant demo questions as embedded data in the survey flow. How should we proceed now, and what steps do we need to take? Thank you in advance!

Hello!I have a question, Q3, where if the user selects recode value 1, hide Q11 and auto-code Q11 = 7. The problem is, Q11 is a Forced Response and I'm having trouble disabling that. I am working with a large email list and am hoping to send reminder emails to individuals who started the survey but did not finish. I have tried three ways of doing this, but none of them does what I’m hoping to accomplish. (1) I have tried the reminder option in the email distributions portion of Qualtrics; however, this sends the email to individuals who did not start the survey as well as those who started but did not finish. (2) I have tried sampling from my directory; however, it appears I am unable to use survey status to create a sample. The list is also too large to manually generate the sample.  (3) I have tried downloading the directory, taking only the individuals who started the survey, and re-uploading; however, from my understanding, this creates a new link for each individual, so rather than allowing them to pick up the survey where they left off, they would have to start over.Is there some way to accomplish this that allows people who started the survey to pick up wher

MY MASTERS DEGREE IS ON THE LINE… I want to generate a tailored message to the participant, generate the message in a third-party software (Zapier), store, GET the message and insert the message mid-survey.What does this look like? A POST Web Service block delivers 4 tokens to Zapier and the survey ReponseID.  Zapier receives and runs an automation to generate a tailored message using those 4 tokens, then stores it according to the ResponseID.  A GET Web Service block runs before the message is needed, and when the participant is at the appropriate descriptive text box, the message “should” appear using embedded data fields and piped texts. Each participant receives a different message based upon their answers, therefore I am organizing them by their ResponseID in the Zapier Storage. As such, the URL I use in my GET Web Service block uses a dynamic element such as key=${e://Field/ResponseID}. My survey contains a Likert matrix question with drag and drop answer type. The question is functioning perfect for survey respondents. However, I am not able to view their individual responses to this question in the “Data & Analysis” tab when I select “View Response” or “Export to PDF” for a single respondent. All that appears is a list of all possible answers and empty boxes, as if they did not sort any of the answers.If it is relevant, the question also utilizes display logic and piping for some answer choices. Interestingly, in “View Response,” the piped answers appear, but the display logic is not factored in (i.e. all possible answer choices are listed out in “View Response” rather than the ones that particular respondent would have seen when completing the survey). It is very important that I am able to view individual responses to this particular question. Does anyone know why that is happening or a possible solution?

I have set up a drill down question as below to have the respondents select the provinces and cities they currently live in. Then I need to set embedded data for each city to record the city tier. The problem is that I have hundreds of cities on the list, and manually typing them in could lead to errors and is also quite troublesome. Is there anyway to simplfy this process? Thanks!

I have created some very straightforward quotas but they are not updating and all are stuck at 0 and I can’t see why.  They all just look at 2 fields and use AND. The first field in the quota is a single select question so the quota builder just provides a dropdwn for me to choose which response is being measured. The second is an embedded data field and I have checked the spelling and formatting and the value in my quota matches what is set in the survey. When I recreate my quota rules as filters in Data & Analysis I see the matching responses. My embedded data field is a text value “COMPLETED”  and the quota rule says “is equal to” - is “contains” or a regex pattern going to be more reliable (even though “COMPLETED” is the value in my data)? Quota: In Data & Analysis:

Hi everyone,We’re building an in-house questionnaire that’s pretty long and has a lot of display logic. Because the survey is so lengthy, we wanted to see if there’s a way to create some kind of question map or navigation panel, where you can click on a question (or section) to jump back to it, instead of hitting the back button over and over again.I already have the survey split into blocks, but because of the display logic, people may see more or fewer questions within a block.Does anyone know if something like this is possible in Qualtrics?I appreciate any guidance! 

In our survey we carry across some data from Salesforce to Qualtrics via query strings.We do not have salesforce integration setup at this time due to some organisational barriers. One embedded data field is the system ID for the agent who initiated the call.I’d like to import the IDs and Names as a seperate dataset and match them to the embedded data. Is this possible and how would I go about matching the two sets together for use in a dashboard?

Hi there, does anyone out there know/have code that will allow me to change the font in my response selection boxes in EX to white.  Currently I have a green box with black font but I would like the font to turn white when selected.  Note I need the font to remain in black if not-selected, but turn white when selected. 

I have a YouTube video embedded into my Qualtrics survey that 500 people apparently watched via the survey, but the video’s view count on YouTube has only increased by 20. I’m pretty sure they watched it because nearly all spent the video’s 10-minute duration on the page and many participants described it accurately. Has anyone else seen this view count discrepancy happen? Thanks,Benji
