Change bar colors in Constant Sum question

In my survey I have several Constant Sum questions where 3 choices are visable. I would like to give each bar their own color. Now they are all green. But I would like to have i.e. the first bar blue, the second one orange and the 3rd one red. How can I setup colors in this kind of questions? See the screenshot below. ! Second part of my question: how do I make these bars Readonly using Javascript?

How to attach user data from parent page to a survey response; survey is triggered through zone code

The parent site/page has a user's ID available globally. The survey is triggered through zone code; not sure where/how how to add a query param to qualtrics URL that needs a dynamic value; a given user's ID. The survey iframe can't go look at the parent page due to browser security protocol. So what is best way to get that outside ID to be sent along with a survey? Thank you in advance I appreciate it.

Is it possible to create a pop up survey before and after participants watch a video?

Hi, A bit of context, I am attempting to conduct a qualitative study with a pre and post survey format that is powered through qualtrics. The idea is for me to assess the participants knowledge before and after watching an educational explainer video, then compare the results. A few questions have come up: 1. Is it possible to create a pop up survey before and after participants watch a video? 2. If yes, is there a video format that works best to embed the surveys in? 3. Any other tips as to how I could achieve this? I read some things about iFrames on the community page but I am unclear if that would be applicable to my scenario. I am new to qualtrics and really appreciate any help that you can provide! Thank you

Carry forward same ranking order selected in Pick Group and Rank to display as options to slider bar

I am working on Pick, Group and Rank question type wherein i want to use the selected drag and drop choices in the same rank order as answer options to the following slider bar question. Can someone help me on this? Can we achieve this through Javascript? Can you please share if anyone has already written a code?

How can I change the position of individual Sliders?

I would like to have several sliders on one page but in various positions. (I do not mean the starting value of each slider, but the position of the slider itself, so that sliders are not vertically aligned.) This CSS-Code ("Look and Feel" - "advanced" - "Add Custom CSS") does the job, but for all sliders in the survey at once: .Skin .horizontalbar { margin: 2em 0.5px 0.5px 0.5px; position: relative; left: 500px; } Is there a way to change the position for each slider seperately? (Via CSS in "Look and Feel" or Javascript?)

Trigger actions based off key word in open-end comment?

I'm trying to only trigger an action/e-mail when a respondent includes a specific word in their open-end comment. For this specific use case the word(s) I'm looking to have the e-mail triggered off of is 'app' and/or 'apps'. The problem I'm running into is that I'm also getting alerts when a word like 'apply' is in the text - which is not what I want. I was told to use 'matches regex' but that still does not seem to be working. Any suggestions on how to get this functionality to work? I've added a screen shot of what it currently looks like, which is not working.!

Javascript and jQuery code spilling over across questions/ blocks

For one of my surveys, I have a block with 19 sliders, each in its own question of that block. For all intents and purposes, other than some descriptive text, each slider is identical to every other slider on that block, and I have the same jQuery and Javascript code on all of them. Essentially, the code works to prevent respondents from sliding on the slider past the value 50, even though the max value on the slider itself is 100. They all work fine and dandy, but I have one last slider on a different block of the survey that shows up _after_ the block with this first batch of sliders. For this one, respondents are allowed to slide anywhere from 0 to 100 (the min and max values of the slider). Otherwise, they all have the same code to hide the handle on the slider until the respondent has clicked on the track of the slider. I've noticed though that sometimes, when I'm testing out my survey, I can't slide past 50 on that last slider (so it seems to be using the same Javascript code a

Using iframe API to automatically advance to next page after a video has been watched

I’d like to present several clips. Immediately after a particular clip is viewed, the survey automatically advances to the next page where the respondent answers questions. Next, another clip is presented. After that clip is viewed, the survey again advances to the next page where the respondent answers more questions. The NEXT button is hidden since I do not wish the respondents to skip watching the videos. The problem is that the code works perfectly if I have only a single video in my survey, but if I include a second video, the survey does not advance to the next screen once that second video is completed. There is also no initial alert, which suggests that the event calls for the second video do not execute. I’m hoping that you could help me figure out where I’ve gone wrong and correct the problem. Text box has disappeared from item (using JavaScript)

An issue has arisen in a number of my surveys that use QRT Engine to capture response times (they’re old surveys but I’m midway through a study so I can’t change the design). The issue is that the text box in the image below does not load for this item of the survey. As a result, participants are unable to enter a rating. Registering key-presses 2

I noticed that a response to my question (i.e., https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/955/registering-key-presses#latest) was accepted as an answer. However, my I'm still unable to register key-presses. My problem was as follows: I used to use javascript in qualtrics to let respondents to respond by an 'h' or 'l' key-press on the keyboard. Apparently qualtrics made some changes in the program as it does not register the specific key that respondents pressed in the data file. I've contacted qualtrics support about this. They directed me to this forum for help. Can somebody advice me how to make qualtrics to register key-presses and continue to the fallowing question? @LauerenK recommended to check out two posts (i.e., https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/899/0/#Form_Comment, and https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/comment/3606#Comment_3606). Unfortunately both didn't solve my problem. Perhaps the fact that the my post was marked as "answered" declined

Next page button has vanished (javascript)

All of a sudden the next buttons on the instruction pages of my surveys have disappeared. I have no knowledge of javascript, so I'm hoping someone here will be able to help either recover the button or, alternatively, add some extra code so that a key press "clicks" to the next page. No data is required from this page so a simple hotkey might do the trick. Here is the javascript for the instructions page where this issue occurs: Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function() { QRTE.unhideQuestions(); $('NextButton').style.display = 'inline'; $('Plug').style.display = 'None'; }); To provide further context, for the past 2 years I've been using QRT Engine within Qualtrics (via javascript) to capture response times. There hasn't been an issue until now. It appears that something in QRT Engine is conflicting with a recent change made by Qualtrics, which is making the next button disappear. Allowing Slider Values only on a range

I have a slider fro 0 to 100, but want to make it so that respondents can only drag the slider halfway from the left (so really only allow 0-50). It's important though that 51-100 are visible, which is why of course we don't just make the slider from 0-50. I've tried several different ways, including resetting the value of the slider back to 50 if it's ever dragged to 51 or beyond. It may be that I didn't implement the syntax for the Javascript correctly but neither that nor any of the other code I have found online that tries to manipulate the value of a slider seems to work. Is there a way to do this? Ideally some jQuery on the question for the UI of the slider would not even allow the handle on the slider to be dragged beyond 50 at all, but if that's not possible, then just some lines of code that works to both get and set the value of the slider (so that I can trigger it if the value of the slider goes beyond 50, to reset back to 50) would be great. Using a RegEx to trigger an action

Hello all! I am trying to create an action which would be triggered by the presence of any of a large quantity of terms in an open ended response. Would the correct condition be the following: Question > Question Name > Question Text > Matches RegEx > /(term1)|(term2)|(term3)|.../(termn)/gi/ Does the RegEx need to be preceded by anything other than "/"? do the end flags (g/i) need to be followed by "/"? Unable to scroll up or down if i embed a survey and try to use it in mobile safariz

Custom URL for referral

I want to generate a custom URL at the end of my survey that the participant can refer to their friends. The URL will link to the same survey, but it will contain a marker to indicate which participant referred it. For instance, if participant A finishes the survey, they should receive a link that looks like survey/link/A that they can pass on to friends and that will have a marker to indicate that participant A was the forwarder. How do I do this?

CSS for background image on authentication page

I’d like to add a background image to a general message in my Messages library that the Authentication Prompt Text points to. I have been successful in adding some CSS to the Message file’s source code to make the background image appear how I want it to when I view it in the Messages Library. However, when I go to look at it in the web browser, the background image does not appear (have tried saving, refreshing my Qualtrics account, refreshing the browser page, using a private window, using different browsers, etc.). I was thinking maybe I just needed to put the code in the Look & Feel/Advanced Custom CSS area, but that didn’t work either. The other complication is that I want this background image to appear ONLY on the authentication page. I have VERY limited knowledge of CSS and HTML. How do I make codes mutually exclusive across 2 multi response questions?

Hi team, My client asked me to set up a multi response question in 3 columns and add a ‘Prefer not to answer’ and ‘None of these’ separately to the question. So I set up 2 multi response questions, one with the brands and the other with ‘Prefer not to answer’ and ‘None of these’. I have also set up a validation so that you can only select one or more brands OR ‘Prefer not to answer’ OR ‘None of these’. Please see screenshot below. Now I wondered whether there is a way to un-select the selected brands if ‘Prefer not to answer’ OR ‘None of these’ is selected. Or un-select ‘Prefer not to answer’ and ‘None of these’ if a brand is selected so that they become mutually exclusive. Essentially they should behave like a normal multi response question where ‘Prefer not to answer’ and ‘None of these’ are set up as ‘make answer exclusive’. ! How do I change the highlights when an option is selected

Hi, I have the following code, to change the Qualtrics 2014 theme from red to green. However, I am unable to remove the red highlight/border when an option is selected (see image). the bording goes away once I click on another option. ! Does anyone know what object is responsible for this? Also, when I hover over the next button or click it, although it is green, it turns red. Once I move the cursor away, it turns green again. Survey Links Not Working with CSS

Hey everyone, Trying to put together a template using CSS that we will use for our email sends. I've got the look of the template how I want it, and thought I had the links ready to go. When I test it though I see the links are clickable because the pointer changes to show it is clickable, but when I click nothing happens, it doesn't take me to the survey link. The external links to the website and the opt out link works, but any of the SurveyURL or SurveyLink won't work. Any help would be appreciated. Here is the code:

Able to export survey responses but receiving 404 error on get survey (error Code GSI_13)

Hi, I'm able to export survey responses, list surveys (and find the survey I'm after), however when I try to get survey I'm receiving: ```plaintext {"httpStatus":"404 - Not Found","error":{"errorMessage":"Survey not found.","errorCode":"GSI_13"} ``` I tried to search for GSI_13 but couldn't find anything within the API docs. Webcam

Hello, We're looking to add a function to a survey where a user can record from their webcam/selfie cam on their phone a brief statement, I've looked at trying to activate a camera within a qualtrics survey but most of the HTML5 code I enter is stripped and even if I could get them to activate their camera I'm still a tad at a loss on how to store the recordings.
