Code for logo alignment in the Question text

Hello, I was wondering if there’s any way I can arrange the question (with logo) without distorting the text? I am using pipe text for the name with the logo so I am not really sure how can I arrange the question accordingly. ! Thank you very much! Ann Marie

Resizing in Mobile Version

Hi, I am introducing several images in html, using css styles with position (top and left coordinates) and size (height and width). Some of the images fit in the mobile size version (whatever the number of pixels you consider as mobile) and some of the images do not fit in the mobile version. The problem is that the images that do not fit in the mobile version are automatically resized; and the images that fit stay the same, causing the output look nothing like I planned. Moreover, I cannot fix it without destroying the desktop version. Is there an easy way to scale down to half all images when the the survey is in mobile size? Thanks

Dynamic Table with Dependents

Hi all, I'm trying to create a table where respondents rank their 4 most important features (1-4). However, I want them to make their selections from a Dynamic 4x4 table with Restrictions (Dependents). The Restrictions (Dependents) would be row based. See attached document. For example, if a respondent selects 5 meters for Spatial as the most important feature to them, they cannot select any other feature from that row for the 2-4 rankings. If they select 60 meters Thermal as the second most important feature to them, the remaining features in that row would not be allowed for rankings 3 and 4. Respondents are Ranking 1-4 from a Dynamic Table with Restrictions (Dependents). I'm flexible on how this might work...as long as those guidelines are incorporated. I know that the general features of Qualtrics does not allow this, but I think it is possible with JavaScript. Unfortunately, I do not know how to do this...Please Help!!!

Upsert operation to salesforce

When I insert a record, every is ok, and I will get a Id value in my debug email that has inserted in salesforce. But I got an error (error: Unable to perform the upsert. Error: A duplicate value was specified for field 'Id' in object 'MAFSurveyQuestions__c', duplicate value 'a94e000000001R4AAI' prior value 'a94e000000001R4AAI') when I changed insert to upsert and added a Embedded Data as a unique key: ! And my survey is distributed using a button that linked to url. Does anybody have some solutions ?

How to disable the tab key in a survey to prevent respondents from tabbing from 1 field to the next?

Hello, I have several text entry questions in a survey. I'd like to disable the ability of users/respondents from tabbing from one field to the next in order to 'force' them to spend a little more time on each question. Thanks!

Within a text entry box for a matrix table question, is there a way to right-align the text within the text entry box using javascript? I've seen a post about right aligning the box itself, but not one about right aligning the text within the box. Many thanks!

How do I access the text value of a side-by-side textbox column and carry forward as statements

Hello, I need to carry forward the user input values to a text box in a side-by-side text column. I have confirmed with Qualtrics support this is not a current capacity of Qualtrics and would require JavaScript. They suggested to post here as my last hope. Anyone? Why I am doing this: I am having users construct a sentence of a precise structure (actor, action, frequency) restricted to a specific list of actors and frequency types, e.g. [My spouse] [jogs around the track] [once a week]. I am using a dropdown for the first part of the sentence (actors), a textbox for the middle (action), and another dropdown for the end of the sentence (frequency). I will ask them to construct 15 sentences in this way so the side by side-by-side will have 15 rows. On the next page, I would have the participants rate their self-generated text entries on a Likert scale. Though they will be important in analyses, I do not want the dropdown selections to forward. Automatically calculate percentage within a Survey from two price fields within the same question

Is it possible within a Survey question to have three fields: Current Price, Sale Price, and Percentage off but have the Percentage off field be populated in real time from the current price and sale price inputs? A Qualtrics support agent stated it may be possible with Javascript but I have limited experience with Javascript and want to ensure it is possible?

Move to a new question on 'Next' button click

I am currently designing a survey where I have one question per page. There is a question where I have a javascript validation which displays an alert if the condition is not met. After the alert message is closed and next button is pressed, I need to move to a new question. And if the condition is met, I need to stay on the same question. So, is there a way by which I can move to a new question using the QID when next button is pressed, since I have only one question per page?

How do I use javascript (jquery) to set the value of a text box?

Here's my problem. I have a survey where I prefill the textbox with embedded data calculated from a previous set of questions. That works wonderfully. But, when the user goes back to do the survey again, the calculations are not being populated because the form is prefilled with their prior answers. In order to get around this, I'd like to set the textbox value using javascript rather than embedded data. Something like document.getElementByID("Question").value = "ThisValue"; To complicate things, the textbox is actually inside a side by side question. The actual question ID is ${q://QID22/ChoiceTextEntryValue/3/2} and I can't figure out how to do this. Any help is appreciated! I'm certain it's simpler than I know. For what it's worth, I've tried this to no avail: document.getElementById("QR~QID22#3~2").value = "My value";

How to give out a limited number of gift card codes?

I'm distributing a survey and want to give out gift card codes to my participants. However, I only want to give out a limited number of codes and I cannot give the same code to more than one person. Is there any way to dynamically assign codes each time a user completes me survey? I've tried using a "quota count" to authenticate a user into the survey and give the code from there, but I realized that quotas are only incremented when a survey session completes, so this could end up with two people getting the same code!

Appending variables to existing survey responses / Site Intercept

Hi everyone - We're just starting out with Site Intercept, and one of the challenges we are working through is the fact that we can't automatically pull in customer database variables into Site Intercept responses (like we could with emailed surveys). We can pull in the ID and other web/Adobe Analytics variables, and then append data on the back end. Has anyone successfully automated this process? Is it easy to manually import additional fields and append those to completed surveys?

In my Response Mapping, I receive this error in the debug email: "Error creating new [name of the object], error: Unable to create/update fields: [name of the field]. Please check the security settings of this field and verify that it is read/write for your profile or permission set." What does this mean?

Using Qualtrics API truncates some text

Hi, I am using Qualtrics APi to pull resposnse exports (https://yourdatacenterid.qualtrics.com/API/v3/responseexports). I have used the python code from Qualtrics site. I have few Questions whose text is around 1500 characters. When i create csv file those Questions coming as headers are getting truncated and showing only 970 characters. is there something that i am missing? I am using this code for python https://api.qualtrics.com/docs/response-exports

JavaScript to Call "Div Id"

Thank you in advance to anyone who offers advice, assistance or a recommendation. Issue: I've created a Seed Match / Bracket style survey (similar to a sports bracket) for users to identify the top movie that they would like to enter into an overall contest. There are 16 individual movie titles. The user selects their preferred movie in each round, which than advances to the next round. The method that I have used to perform this within Qualitrics is piped text, since carry-forward logic only works for one-level forward. While the winning movie needs to be 'carried-forward' for 5 rounds (Conference 1, Semi-Finals, Finals, Championship > Winner Declared). All of the selections are image-based. Each of the images has been re-coded with a Variable Name. Each answer box also includes a text value (see below screenshot) The flow of my survey works perfectly, however, the reporting is an issue - since when I get to my Championship question - the reporting does not show the

Using answers to survey questions in css/html/look and feel

Hi, I want to take the numerical answers to two survey questions. Then I will apply these to a known fixed mathematical formula (actually a multiple regression equation). Then I want to scale images in subsequent questions by this factor. e.g. Answer 1 = X1, Answer 2 = X2 scaleFactor = aX1 + bX2 + c For each image: width = width * scaleFactor Any thoughts about how I can achieve this? Thanks.

I have a Tableau workbook using a long-existing Qualtrics web connector as the underlying data source, and need to add some new embedded data fields to the workbook. Is there a way to add these new variables into the workbook without having to create a whole new web connector data source?

Adding jsPsych to Qualtrics

Hi, I am trying to add the kirby delay discounting task into Qualtrics. I have downloaded the JavaScript code from OSF: https://osf.io/wkf2z/ However, since Qualtrics has updated the platform, old tutorials that explain this process do not work anymore. I have also tried several things with the new JavaScript feature in Survey, but when I preview the experiment I only get a blank space. Does anyone have experience with adding a JavaScript experiment in Qualtrics, who can help me? Is it still possible? I have completed some courses in JavaScript, but I am still a beginner.
