We currently use Krealinks to run our Research community, and have connected it to Qualtrics Via API. I would like to know if there's anyone else who currently has a similar setup and how you find it?

I've recently completed a survey on the Qualtrics platform in which a constant sum question was used with slider bars. What made this question unique, however, was that the question also included a doughnut chart which dynamically displayed the values attributed to each choice within the question and listed a message that "You have X% remaining." Can anyone offer insight into how this might have been accomplished? Image attached for reference. !

Is it possible to assign an embedded data field to a value that is determined by a respondent's responses but is available in an (external) Excel file? For example: The respondent answers a question asking for their zip code (a text entry question). I have an Excel file that links each zip code with the latitude and longitude of the "center" of the zip code. I would like to define two embedded variables, one for the latitude and one for the longitude that corresponds to the zip code given by the respondent. There are solutions that use branching or drill down variables, but so far these would involve too much work (one branch for every zip code in the US for example), or would require the user to select the lat and lon after picking their zip code. Kind of awkward to have the respondent see the lat and lon at all. Would like this process to happen behind the scenes. Thanks.

When respondent's select a school from a long drop down list, or in a drill down (state, city, school), I need to be able to link that school (name) to the school id. I don't want the respondent to see the school id -- they only select the school name. But when I download the data, I would like to have a variable for the school name AND a variable that shows the corresponding school id. The number of schools and ids could be as high as 30,000. Not sure if this is baked in somewhere or not. Can't seem to find anything for this situation. Thanks.

I distributed my survey yesterday but since about an hour ago people get an error when opening it. I get the same one, also when I want to log in! It says: An error occurred while processing your request. Reference #97.27a9645f.1524568291.19120458 Can anyone help me? The chat doesn't work..

I am trying to set up a survey where my participants begin and end in Qualtrics, but redirect to Sawtooth in the middle of the survey to complete a max diff exercise. I understand how to pass information such as ResponseID from Qualtrics to Sawtooth and then back to Qualtrics within the link URL, but I am having an issue with getting Qualtrics to recognize my participant as the same participant. Does anyone know what data I would need to send from Sawtooth back to Qualtrics within the URL to get Qualtrics to recognize that the same participant is re-entering the survey to complete the remainder of the task?

Hey! I am working on the query using Qualtrics API 2.5, which would add contact to contact list. I struggling with adding custom embedded data to the query. I have added manually this embedded data to list, and now i would like to know what is the query syntax to put the value into it. It is pretty simple for existing embedded data like FIrstName and LastName. My query looks like this ( pls don't focus on the focus on the beginning, it's just a concept.) In the below concept i would like to put specific value (SV_XXXXXX) to embedded data named SV. How it should be written? www.XXXXXXXXX&FirstName=Piotr&LastName=Siudak&SV=SV_XXXXXX

Hi, I have a question in my survey which has responses as (Strongly disagree to strongly agree), I want these responses to flow back to Salesforce as numeric values, can this be done through qualtrics?

We are having issues to see intercepts on IE. We are using the slider, but have seen issues with other creatives as well. Qualtrics recommendation has been to reach out to our IT team as this might be related to our page security setting for this particular browser as due to the nature of our business we have a private website with high security in place. Has anybody seen similar issues? We need to know where to start investigating. THANKS

the way to import a large number of choices to a specific questions?

After customising quite a few surveys in Qualtrics, there are some elements that I've repeatedly struggled to adjust to my full satisfaction. Does anyone know of a canonical reference document that shows the CSS relating to Next and Back buttons (especially their position - I can only ever get them to show in the bottom-right of each page, next to one another)? I'm also having difficulty with matrix questions - I can't figure out the CSS that controls the 'fade on hover' behaviour for alternate lines. I have a darker shade behind every other statement / ranking line, which currently fades to white on mouse-over and I'd like to disable this behaviour. Any help appreciated!

Is it possible to create/manage quotas through the API? I've perused the API documentation and the quotas help page, but didn't see this mentioned on either. I'm using Research Core and v3 of the API.

How can I make my survey auto-advance using JavaScript so that... after a person selects one answer for each statement in a matrix question (single answer allowed for each statement), it auto-advances to the next page? Thanks. --David

Is there a way to use Java script to record in the dataset whether the respondent hit the "back" button on any given page?

I have a question that requires an additional definition, and I have it coded so that when you hover over a word, you see additional text. However, the hover text box is not big enough to display my whole definition. It seems to be related to character count. Is there a way to make the box bigger or allow more characters? Thanks!

Hello Qualtrics Community, We've had several of our survey takers have this error - when they are entering into a total sum question, they get the error saying that they have to use whole numbers... Even though they are using whole numbers. Some were using Chrome, some Firefox, and restarting the survey doesn't seem to fix their problem. Does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it? In my Response Mapping, I am mapping to some custom fields, but I keep seeing this error message: "Error. SoapFault exception: [sf:INVALID_TYPE] INVALID_TYPE: sObject type 'permissiontest__c' is not supported. If you are attempting to use a custom object, be sure to append the '__c' after the entity name. Please reference your WSDL or the describe call for the appropriate names." The field shows up in the available fields to map to, but I still get this error message. What's going on?

Does anyone know how to get respondent data and survey response data back after a survey is filled out on my website ? Seems like there is an API to create surveys but not get data back in real time.

I am using the below javascript to define an array and retrieve random elements from the array. var COST = ["$400","$500","$600","$700","$800"]; var COST_a1 = COST[Math.floor(Math.random()*COST.length)]; alert (COST_a1) ; /* for debugging */ When I preview the survey, Qualtrics runs this piece of code TWICE. The alert box pops up twice with different values for COST_a1. This is causing issues on another page when I try to capture the value of Cost_a1 using this.setChoiceValue(3,COST_a1); I only need the random value to be generated once. Any guidance on this matter is appreciated. Thank you.

Does anyone have experience implementing an intercept during (ideally at the end of) a Wistia video that is embedded on a website? I'm having trouble finding in the embedded code where the "play/end" controls are. P.S. New to Site Intercept, no idea what I'm looking for but I can't find anything obvious! No tracking, no reference to the video playing,etc.

We are trying to create a Custom Side by Side Question with choice options on both sides and question text at the middle but no luck. i.e. we need 7 columns, with three columns of text in the middle and two columns of choices either side. The choice options are to be grouped per row as the user is expected to only choose one option per row. Attached is the sample screenshot of the question I am trying to achieve. Can someone help please?
