I need help with setting up a validation check between two questions. Q1 is a multiple choice question with numeric buckets. Q2 is a multiple choice question with a required entry field for which the entered value MUST be within the range selected in Q1. One cannot proceed to the next screen until correcting their response. How do I set this up? I am including a screenshot of the two questions as well as the JavaScript I am using but does not seem to be working properly. Hello XM Community! Can anyone help with duplicated widgets in a recurring email? I have a dashboard page setup with a text box widget and comment ticker widget, which is filtered to show “last week’s customer comments”, and I send this across the business every Monday morning by recurring email. The email is set up using the Export Dashboard → Email Dashboard feature within the dashboard. The issue I am facing is the email will show the text box and comment ticker appropriately at the top of the email, along with a link to “view this dashboard” or unsubscribe. Below this, the text box and comment ticker is duplicated. My goal is for recipients to see the customer comments directly in the email, but not be duplicated. Does anyone have any insight on how to prevent the widgets from showing twice? Thanks for your help! Here is a screenshot of my settings...
Hello community, I need help with this: I would like a customer to not be able to answer a survey more than once?I found to activate the option ‘Prevent Ballot Box Stuffing’, but I have the problem that if a person buys several times it will not let them complete the survey, if they use the same device or the same browser ... until you delete the cookies manually or automatically ... no matter how long, in days or months... In the encrypted URL of the survey will come with the voucher number (which is unique) ... but I can not think how and where to make a validation? Can you help me with this Thanks
For context, my survey is a guest experience survey (using a receipt) after they visit one of our locations. The first question they need to answer is what the Store ID number is on their receipt. We have applied a RegEx validation so that the formatting is correct. The format is the state code, dash, then a 3 digit number (i.e. MA-023). We have been experiencing human error where users are putting in the incorrect Store ID, which causes our workflow to pull data from an external system based on the data they provided (including the Store ID) and the ticket creation workflows (which assign a ticket to employees at the Store based on Store iD) to fail. We need the survey taker to not be able to move forward unless it is a real store ID. I understand we could use display logic to say that the answer must equal MA-023 OR IL-029 OR MI-377, etc… but there are over 1500 store IDs. We have some requirement which we are currently challenging: A contact should be deleted completely The responses of the deleted contact should not be deleted but only anonymized If possible we would like to define which contact data should be anonymized on the response and which data should be kept (e.g. keep information about the contact's city, however, delete/anonymize everything else like contact ID or name) At the end we will need to implement this with the corresponding API calls. However, in order to check that requirement, I tried to test this up on the Qualtrics UI. Therefore, I created a new contact and sent a survey to this contact. I myself finished the survey then in order to have some response data for that contact. Next, I deleted the contact from the XM directory: The information said that "survey responses ... will not be deleted but the response will no longer be associated with the contact". However, after deleting this contact, I had a look at the responses again (

Why might a participation rate widget and a participation rate table get damaged when adding filters to the dashboard? It should be noted that the applied filter originally had 9 values and was recoded to 2 values. That is where the issue occurs.
Hello community! I am building a survey in which I am trying to carry forward unselected answers from a previous question. This works fine, except that the answers have graphics, and what is carried forward is only the textual part. Is carrying forward graphics not possible? Hi, If I have a CSAT question and thereafter a question asking for reasons behind the option selection somewhat like below. Is that possible? I know I can include the answer from the previous question but can a statement be introduced based on answer in the question? I have highlighted the 2 words I need to include based on the response provided. So if they select 7-10 I want satisfied to appear but not the rest, and if they select 1-6 I want “not entirely satisfied” to appear. Thanks

Dear community,I would like to add a 'not applicable' option to a Constant Sum question. What I have now is this: Where I ask every participant to indicate their language preference per domain. However, it might be that this domain is not applicable to the participant (e.g. they don't go to school) so I want them to have the option to say 'not applicable'. Right now, I used a temporary fix by asking them to fill in 100 points on 'not applicable' ('niet van toepassing' in Dutch) but this doesn't seem like a very elegant solution. Does anyone know how to make this more user-friendly? Maybe there is a code I can use?Thanks in advance! Elise

Hi Everyone, Hope you’re all well. This is how my question looks. In the next question I want to pipe just the completed fields, so in this case Test 1, and Test 2. Using this option. I get… As you can see it also pulls the uncompleted field names – Artist 3, Artist 4 and Artist 5. How do I pull just the completed fields, so in this case Test 1, and Test 2. Thanks :)
Hi guys, Urgently require assistance. I’ve looked at almost every post relating to this question but nothing seems to be working for me. I have a main survey. Only by answering YES to the 3rd questions can you proceed with the survey (think of it as a selection criteria question). If you answer NO, I want to the survey to end (“you have not met the selection criteria”). IF Do you currently study psychology? No Is selected → End of Survey I’ve tried everything, I’ve used the skip logic, I’ve gone into survey flow and added a then if branch (from which I’ve added a end survey branch and used the customise button to override the default end message - tried the custom end, I’ve also tried creating a new survey so that I can redirect using URL to the other end message). NOTHING. Is. Working. I keep getting directed to my main end message. Please help me. x.x
I was under the impression that the matrix statements that show as column headers in the exported data (Q21_1, Q21_2, Q21_3, etc) were tied to the statement text, but after a recent export it looks like it’s based on the current order they are listed. I hadn’t expected this, so I used move up/move down in the statements list to re-order the display of statement scales during a live survey a couple of weeks back. For example, at launch: Q21_1 I like birds [strongly disagree to strongly agree] Q21_2 I enjoy petting cats Q21_3 I don’t like snakes After move up/down change, I expected it to do this: Q21_3 I don’t like snakes Q21_1 I like birds Q21_2 I enjoy petting cats I expected that because that’s what I’d seen doing a move up/down of answer choices in a multiple choice question (specifically in SPSS export, where an MC question that used choice groups gave a column to each answer choice and populated a value of 0/1 to each). Hi everyone, I'm trying to set up scoring for a question that uses Sliders, but when I go to the Scoring Options dropdown, it shows "0 Items." I realized this might be because I left the scoring setting on Auto when setting up the sliders. Does anyone know how I can properly assign or adjust scoring for the sliders in this case? Is there a way to manually set the scoring or ensure that the sliders are recognized for scoring purposes? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Hello, I have a slideshow with 5 images that participants click through. After they have clicked through all 5 images, I want the Next button to appear (hidden before) a question to get hidden (which was visible as part of the instructions to the slideshow before) I have the following code, that does 1. but not 2. Hi I need a way to combine multiple numeric variables in order to generate a pie chart widget. For instance. I have questions where respondents have entered numeric values. I would like to display a pie chart that shows the weight of the sum of each category. I know that pie chart widgets only take in one variable, but I saw a use case where someone was able to do this so I am wondering how to accomplish this. Do I need to make sort of custom field or custom variable? I am new to Qualtrics and am open to any solution type.
Does anyone know how to hide the scale labels for a matrix table (without eliminating the choices themselves)? [the goal is to make it appear to the survey respondent like these items are a continuation of the prior question, which has the same scale, without a break]
Hi all!I am setting up a MaxDiff study and would like to show tooltips for the different features the respondent gets to see within the MaxDiff. So far I added them using html via this structure: <span title="Translate entire documents and keep the file format and formatting">Document translation</span> This works well on laptop, however it does not work on mobile. I saw some threads discussing responsive tooltips in the community which require adjusting the CSS in the Look & Feel section + the html in the question itself - and the latter unfortunately is not possible as the MaxDiff module is locked and JS cannot be accessed. Does anyone have any advice how to show up tooltips on mobile when using the Qualtrics MaxDiff module? Thank you!

Hi there, I wanted to have labels appear on top of each slider in my Qualtrics survey, so I wrote some code into javascript. When I preview my question block, everything looks fine. However, when I go to preview my whole survey, the labels repeat a couple of times about slider 2. I cannot locate where the issue is, but I assume it is something in the code I wrote. Is anyone able to help? I have attached a document which includes screenshots of the previews, links to my survey and the javascript code I wrote.
Hi, I have a quick question about the Qualtrics platform. We’ve set up a study with two surveys: Survey 1 collects consent and participant information. Survey 2 contains the actual survey items for the study. Participants are only provided the link to Survey 1. At the end of Survey 1, they are automatically redirected to Survey 2 to complete the measures. In theory, no participant should access Survey 2 directly without first completing Survey 1. However, in our Survey 2 database, we’ve noticed some entries where participants don’t have embedded data from Survey 1, which suggests their consent data wasn’t captured or passed to Survey 2. Could you help us understand why this might be happening and suggest any potential solutions? Thank you!
