Hello! I’m new to Qualtrics. My lab has many measures in a pdf format that they would like to put into Qualtrics. Looking over the instructions for importing measures, it seems only .docx and .txt files are acceptable to import if I want people to be able to fill out the survey in Qualtrics. Would it be easiest to make the pdfs into Qualtrics surveys manually? 

Let’s say Q1 choices are A, B, C, and D and they are displayed in randomized order. How can I pipe the first choice that appeared in Q1 to the next question?

Hi, I'm looking for an Excel report of all the data from a survey in a usable format. Users must login to Qualtrics to download the CSV or Excel from the Data & Analysis tab, then transform the data after deleting unnecessary columns (i.e. Response ID, IP Address, etc.). Is there a trigger that can send an Excel report to a designated person on a daily basis that contains basic information like: name, email address, survey questions, and answers? Any help would be appreciated.Brianna

Hello all!  I’m putting together a guide for new brand admins.  In the user set up page, there is a drop down with a TON of user types in it.  The Qualtrics webpage on users and user types doesn’t cover or describe them all that I see.  Has anyone ever seen or know of a full list of all user types available and what they are meant to do?  I know some are self-explanatory, but some really aren’t.  

I am hoping to adjust a few things about my Pick, Group, and Rank question (screenshot below). I would like to make the following changes: Three columns instead of two Reduce the amount of padding in each group box (i.e. reduce the distance indicated by the red arrow below). The items that I drag into each box are wrapping onto 2 lines when there is still LOTS of space to the right of the text in the box.Ideally, I could implement these changes in the “New Survey Taking Experience” using CSS. I already found some code on another post that helped convert to 3 columns (included below) but it does NOT work when I switch over to the New Survey Taking Experience. Hi folks, I have seen folks posting the the deprecation of the XM Directory task breaks some of their Salesforce workflows. However, I have a much simpler workflow that is not supported by the new workflow.  We have surveys that folks access via an anonymous link. We used the XM directory task to distribute follow-up surveys at 30 and 90 days post response to those who provide contact information information from the survey.  The piped text from their response to the question was used as the mail to address for the distribute survey task. Is there an alternative way to make this happen?

Hello all. According to this page: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/employee-experience/creating-ee-project/dashboards-tab/widgets-ee/widgets-overview-ee/ when you click the three dots on the upper right corner of a widget in Results, it should give you an option in the dropdown menu to move the widget to another page. My widgets only give me these options: Does anyone know why I only have the option to Edit, Export, and View Data?Thanks.

Hi everyone,I’m trying to automate data export using the Qualtrics API in R (via qualtRics package). The issue is that I’m not the owner of the main survey, it was created by a collaborator at another university. Although they have given me full admin rights on the project, my API key still doesn’t allow me to export the responses via the API. The collaborators also don't have API keys of their own.As a workaround, I’m considering creating a Qualtrics workflow triggered on every new response, which would copy each response into a dummy copied survey that I own. That way, I could access the dummy survey using my own API key and connect it to a Shiny dashboard that shows the number of participants by country. However, I am having difficulties building that workflow. Would it be possible to do this on Qualtrics?

Is there a way to make the text-entry boxes appear in the center of the screen rather than the left side?

Greetings XM Community,I’ve got a lengthy survey that I am working on for our Academic Records office.  Most of the questions are ranking on a scale (i.e. Excellent, Good, Fair, Poor, n/a).  I was researching accessibility and applying that to the survey by using a multiple choice drop-down list but am afraid it’s going to result in less completes due to the length.Matrix carousel looks better and easier to navigate through, but is it truly an accessible question?  From what I read it’s a better choice if using a matrix but still not great.  Some sources said not to use the matrix type at all.Thoughts or suggestions appreciated, thank you!!

Hello I am wondering can you help. I have a question about a survey, currently I have a next page button that displays “>>” ,  can I change the first page to "Start the survey" and the remaining pages to “>>” ?

Is it possible to track click rates on hyperlinks contained with end of survey?

Hi team,  We added a translation of labels in our EX Engagement Dashboard, and it only took partially the name of sources in the translation. Even if we see in the file all translated fields, they dont reflect in the dashboard.We tried uploading the file more times, but it doesnt refresh the data. Is there some advice for this?  Thank you Livia B

We have an open text box asking for additional feedback - people will often reply “no,” “nope,” “n/a,” etc… I’m wanting to run them through textiq to tag them with a topic of “N/A” and then use that as a filter on dashboard widgets so that we aren’t having to scroll through responses where they left us essentially no information. The issue I’m not sure how to solve is how to make the textiq query look for that specific word and not tag it if there are other comments as “no” can be used in other ways. Basically I’m wanting the topic to tag ONLY if they wrote in “no” and nothing else.  

How do I create a section of text that respondents can edit? I want to show a written passage that’s several paragraphs long and give respondents the opportunity to edit only the first paragraph.

Hi,I'm very new to Qualtrics so would really appreciate some help figuring out this. I had a weekly schedule Email Dashboard that would send all survey record details (responses) in csv format. Has been working for months.Just yesterday, it no longer provided all the record details but just aggregated numbers (overview) of the dashboard. The dashboard is aggregated numbers, however, the dashboard itself has not changed at all.From the dashboard itself, if I Export-Download dashboard, select csv then I do get the details. So, why the Email Dashboard changed behaviour? I don't know if something changed with the system configuration, setting or is it a Qualtrics upgrade to cause this change? Any ideas?Thank you so much.

Hi there, does any know if it is possible to do a query in TextiQ that looks for comments where the word “No” is the only comment people have made.  The client would like to add these to a “No comment” topic.  Many people just just written “no”.Thanks!

 I switched a survey over to the “New Survey Experience.” In the prior survey version, the javascript that I used in the question to create an embedded variable works as expected. I’ve included the query below. hi guys,I have a survey which is being distributed via an XM Directory workflow. If a contact import occurs where a user has the same external data reference as a new user, the contact is merged into one.We uploaded a CSV with a number of duplicate users who had already received emails. Unfortunately, due to a lack of preventative logic from us, each user has now received two emails, each with an individual link.I was wondering, since contact and embedded data for these recipients are identical to the first distribution, will the link be identical too? Further, if a recipient completed the survey previously, will the link in the second email work? Or not, since this exact contact has already completed the survey.Hypothetically, if each user could complete the survey twice, is disabling (or invalidating/breaking) the first/second set of links possible? Obviously I can’t just remove users from the contact list (a common solution for this issue) because the duplicates have merged into a s

is there a way to record the response time taken by the participant to fill out the overall survey? though I have already put the time recording questions for two specific questions but I also want to record time for the overall survey. 

Hello!I’ve run into a wall with some workflows to generate tickets.What I want to do is have two different ticket types raised.I have made two different worflows 1-detractors, 2-sentiment1 - if NPS detractor or low CSAT response is received, raise ticket 1 (this is working fine)2 - if NPS neutral or positive or 3+ CSAT response is received AND text IQ sentiment is negative, raise ticket 2 (not working). Do not raise ticket if negative sentiment + detractor or low csatTicket 2 works IF the scores are positive, but when the scores are negative both ticket 1 and 2 are raised.Im pretty sure the logic in workflow 2 is wrong but I cant figure out what or how to fix it.Screen shot of workflow 2 logic below. 

Hiya qualtrics hivemind!I am looking for ways to manually flag a response, or raise a ticket, to follow up on specific feedback. We have a number of always on feedback surveys running. We review the responses regularly and investigate issues raised to close the loop and identify root cause. Currently we have tickets which are raised based on low scores / detractor responses. But we sometimes get positive scores but detailed written feedback that we want to follow up and document too. Wondering if there is a way to do this in qualtrics?

I would like to allow respondents to edit answers after initial submission, similar to how Google Forms works. Is this possible in Qualtrics? I can't seem to find the setting.
