Hi everyone,I would like to add a pop-up that provides more information about a question when the user hovers over it.Like this but for the question and not for the options:Since this survey has translations, I also need to ensure that the pop-up boxes display the description in the correct language.If anyone has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Qualtrics community! I have a multiple choice question that uses loop and merge to display 100 message pairs. For each pair, one message is the English source message and the other is the machine translation of that message. I would like to display these messages next to eachother in the question text to make it easy for the respondents to compare the messages. However, when I use a table to display the messages next to eachother, the widths of the ‘message 1’ and ‘message 2’ columns vary (see screenshot below). Is there a way to make sure the widths of these two columns are always 50%?In addition, I’m looking for a way to align the sentences in these columns. See the screenshot below for an example of what I mean by “sentence-aligned”. The sentences are separated by </br>’s in the loop and merge, but I can easily replace these separators by something else if needed.Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello!I have a 15-day intervention study. Pre-intervention, participants will be randomly assigned to Group A or B and are asked to write down their assigned ID. For the next 15 days, both groups access a second link, signing in with their assigned ID. On the last day of the study, both groups access a third link, also login in with their ID.My set up currently is this:Survey 1: Random ID in survey flow + Contact list with Random ID in workflowSurvey 2: Authenticator using embedded data from the Contact list with Random ID’sSurvey 3: Authenticator using embedded data from the Contact list with Random ID’sSomehow, the authenticator does not fully work. Sometimes, it recognises an ID and lets me sign in as a test participant; sometimes, it does not - therefore, it is not reliable.I cannot use email addresses or phone numbers due to anonymity. Has anyone else had this problem before? I’m planning to run a survey where 1 in 10 respondents will win a prize. My understanding is that I should add a randomizer to the survey flow with ten end of survey blocks under it. One of the end of survey blocks will have a message saying they won a prize. The other nine end of survey blocks will just thank the respondent for their participation. From the survey results the people who see the winning end of survey block first amongst all the end of survey blocks are the winners. So far so good, right? I’ve set the randomizer to evenly present the elements. My issue is that when I generate test responses and check to see how often each end of survey block is presented first I don’t get even results. Instead of each end of survey block being first 10% of the time I see results between roughly 5%-15%. Is this expected? It’s fine if the percentage of winners isn’t exactly 10%, but if it’s 15%+ it’s going to hit my budget limit. Is there anything I’m missing here? 

Hi, I created a survey to gather feedback from some of our stores. We sent little cards with QR codes for customers to give feedback. Unfortunately, they were sent to the wrong stores and have been handed out.I was going to use the Latitude and Longitude data to filter out the responses that are from locations we don’t want feedback from. Is this data perfectly accurate to the city level? I’m getting many responses from locations that didn’t receive any cards or places we don’t even have stores? I’m talking states away. Thanks in advance.

Hello,  I’ve created a survey that uses custom code from this forum (thank you!) to create buttons that expand/collapse to provide respondents with the option to view more information/definitions as needed. I’ve successfully applied the code to: (1) Survey introductory text that contains multiple buttons on the same page; (2) survey questions (e.g., multiple choice); and (3) survey response options that contain one button for a number of the response options in a multiple choice question.  Although these buttons work well on desktop (mouse) and mobile devices (tap/touchscreen), they do not work for individuals who use the “tab” button on their desktop keyboard to navigate each survey page. I’m wondering if there is code that I can add to my current code that will enable this level of accessibility? If not, are there other options for adding additional optional content if needed (e.g., further definition of a term) that can be widely accessible to diverse audiences with different access

Hello!Is there a way to monitor survey performance by showing completion rates of each question?I’m imagining a line or bar chart where the X axis is each question and the Y is the count or % complete.That way we can more accurately track the drop off rate and where it happens.

Hi! I would like to add additional information for some keywords in our survey that should be displayed when hovering over the keyword (or clicking the keyword) in an additional pop-up box or tooltip. Using the html span-titel command unfortunately only works for computers but not if accessing the survey with a mobile device. Also, the pop-up box disappears very quickly on some browsers (Internet Explorer... yeah, people exist that still use it :D ), which makes it impossible to read the text. Another problem is, that on some browsers, it takes quite some time until the pop-up appears. Could someone share Java-code with me to solve this issue, or maybe lead me to a topic where this was already solved? I have digged through the community posts but weren't able to find a properly working java solution. Happy for any suggestions!

As you can see in the screenshot above, the gray padding around each of the multiple choice options are all touching each other. I do not want this.My answer options used to have a gap between them (also pictured, below). This is what I want.  I was using the same styling (no custom CSS, compact, arial font, 18pt questions with 16 pt answer choices) and layout (classic) for each version. After adding many questions to my survey, I eventually noticed that at some point the display of choices had changed.I’ve tried reverting to the previous version where the options are presented the way I’d like (with gaps), but when I imported (copied in) the rest of the questions I’d developed since that version, all of the choices started being displayed without the gaps again.Does anyone know why this happened, or how I can revert the way the choices are displayed? Maybe I could apply custom CSS styling? Or, (less ideal) maybe there is JS that I could apply to each question individually?

I found help on managing text that is shown for authenticator errors, but I also want to remove the error.svg (red exclamation point).  Can anyone tell me how to do this/share CSS or javascript to do it?  

Hello,Is it possible to change the layout of specific questions without overriding the whole layout of the survey?Specifically, I currently have a theme that has the following layout (Classic):I want to continue having this theme, however, for certain questions, I would prefer having checkboxes (for multiple choice) or radio buttons (for single choices) (example below, with Flat as the Layout):Any help would be appreciated. Hi all, Is there a way to customise a thank you email that is sent to finished respondents? For example, can I include a copy of the respondent’s answer to specific quesitons on my survey?Also, could I have 3 different email templates that could be sent specific to Detractors, Passives and Promotors? Thanks allHarry

Have been waiting on support to follow up so I am urgently throwing this out to the community since we have to launch this survey ASAP. We have a lengthy multiple response list that is grouped by topic for easier respondent viewing.  It is setup as allowing multiple responses and the groups are randomized since that’s the only way to randomize the list it seems, which is fine.However, even though it clear says ‘Allow multiple answers,’ it is only allowing one answer.   Chat support on Friday could not figure out what was going on and elevated it, but tells me it is still pending.  Is there any rationale reason in terms of settings this would be happening? Something else we should be doing in settings?  I seemed to be working as multi select before but I can’t pinpoint what changed / when / why.  Do groupings prohibit multiple answers across groups?

We recently had to change the user type of some historical users. Since this change these users are no longer able to see the dashboard. Initially I thought this was due to the user type they shifted too, however this is not the case. Has anyone experienced this before? I’ve played around with it a bit and it seems any change to user type is causing these users to loose access to the dashboard.  My initial thoughts are that maybe this is a historical issue, as these users have been set up in Qualtrics since 2020? Open to ideas as to what is causing this. 

I am trying to add JavaScript code to prevent essay text entry copy/paste from any source to the online browser-based survey.  I have already read the many attempts to explain on this site, but many appear to leave out where and how to enter the script and/or the entire needed code.  Below is what I have and it. does not currently prevent copy/paste.    Please do NOT refer to other articles and please provide a detailed step by step if at all possible. Question Setup: Code Entered: 

Is there a way to export a list of all your projects as they appear on the projects screen (type, project name, creation date, responses, etc.) into a spreadsheet? Each year, we have to submit a list of surveys we've created and it would be easier to export than type them all out.

I am trying to read the UsageTags of a survey via an API call. In the official docu I couldn’t find anything to this matter. Does anybody know a workaround how to access the UsageTag of a survey via API?Thanks! 

Our data quality guru recently asked me about creating "honey pot" questions to help catch bots. These are questions that are "hidden" to respondents but will be picked up by bots. I use the auto-punch next to hide questions. Any thoughts on creating questions only bots would get are welcome!

I have a multiple choice question in which I’m using two loop and merge fields in the question text. Sometimes, the text in the loop and merge fields is LTR, sometimes it is RTL. Like this: To make sure the RTL messages are displayed correctly, I added dir=”rtl” and align=”right” to the RTL texts.However, while the dir attribute seems to work, I cannot get the text in row 1, field 2 to right-align with the align attribute. I’ve built an Official Complaint Form for my Compliance team and built it so they could enter initial complaint details, then with retake links, update the response and with the update ticket task, update the corresponding ticket data. On the first submission they have a date field with Flatpickr to select a date.First submissionOn second submission, they can edit the dates previously entered. So I’m using display logic to show an additional question for each date which pipes in the previously selected date and where they can select a checkbox to edit the date. Hi all,I have a multiple-choice question with 132 choices, each of which has display logic attached. The question is set to allow multiple answers, and I’ve applied validation to require exactly 3 choices (answer range set to 3–3). However, when I test the question, it only allows a single answer selection and doesn't permit multiple selections. Additionally, I cannot proceed since it expects a minimum of 3 choices.Could this issue be related to having too many display logic conditions? There are nearly 400 combinations of display logic across the 132 choices, and this question follows a matrix question.Thank you in advance for your help! 

In a survey I have set the option of partial completed responses set to recorded responses after 4 hours after the respondents start of survey. What I like to have is an embedded data field called 'LastQuestion' containing the last used question number. Like the column in the Data & Analysis tab under Responses in Progress where a column Last Question exists. Is such an option possible?

I received CSS from tech support but it seems custom to another need, so I need help customizing to mine. I am also having a couple other issues noted below. Attached image of the slider itself. 2 pieces of text should be anchored at opposite ends of the slider.  I also would prefer NOT to have a statement text at all.  Only the slider itself with the text anchors.  Is that possible? 3rd, it is forcing #s so I made the #s 0 - 100.  I would rather the #s not display at all and people just slide to the ‘mix’ visually between the 2 text anchors if that makes sense. Can anyone help with all these things?
