Hello everyone!! I would like to change the progress bar position so that it appears after header. Also, how can we remove the progress bar from the 'end of the survey' page

I’m creating a survey where I am disseminating it via various platforms - face to face and via online social media platforms. The eligible participants can only answer the survey once. I found some solutions which required me to put in an authenticator and then a workflow. The workflow is set up such that each time a survey response is sent, data will be extracted to upload to the contact directory automatically. This is so that there is an external data reference to determine if the contact number has been input before. Authenticator in the survey first asks participant to enter their contact number. If the contact number is in the contact list, then participants will be told that they are not eligible for the survey. Now, I am sure that I have set up the authenticator correctly. I am just not sure how I can correctly extract the data from the survey to the contacts directory. Currently, what i did was trigger based on even when survey response is received or updated extract responses

Hi all,I am trying to figure out how to disqualify the participants by duration.My survey is designed for 30 mins.It’s a paid survey. Distribution is handled by third party recruitment agency.I am trying to disqualify the participants if duration is less than 15 mins at the end of the survey.I set the branch > End survey (condition - Duration < 900)I didn’t set the embedded - “Duration” at the start of the survey flow since I believe it’s default embedded data.Please see screenshot of my flow. Thank you for help. 

Hi everyone!I have a Workflow with a Code Task that was running fine this morning.But now I am getting an error: “SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token”I don’t think it is related to my code because it works with another workflow. Any idea how I can fix it?   

I have a constant sum table where the last option is an “Other” option with an other text option. How can I hide this when then input value for the “other” option is 0 or empty, and also force a response when other is greater than 0? Is this even possible?  I can manage to hide it by default when opening the page with getElementById, but I’ve no idea how to then show it once a value for other is provided and also hide it again if the other value is removed. Thanks!

Hello,I'm looking to clear selected options when the respondent clicks the 'back' button.It seems that the choices are 'labels' on Qualtrics back end.I realize that when the option is selected, there is a new 'q-checked' class that is added. Hence I've been looking for ways to remove that class following the various suggestions here (html - Remove CSS class from element with JavaScript (no jQuery) - Stack Overflow), but it doesn't seem to work. See one example screen capture below.There always seems to be a TypeError, something like: "Cannot set properties of null (reading classList)"Could somebody please help?Many thanks in advance!

Hello,I am looking for CSS to hide the language selection button after the first page. Before the New Survey Experience I could use this CSS to hide the button:  .#Q_lang {display:none;} and this Javascript to show it on my first page  Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function(){ jQuery("#Q_lang").show();    /*Place your JavaScript here to run when the page loads*/});

Has anyone been able t include some sort of JavaScript or CSS code to ensure error messages are left justified?  I understand changing the survey format is an option, but that does not work for us as we have very specific criteria in our formatting.  Has anyone found a work around in this?

Hello,I am trying to build a dashboard page to track the performance of my survey.I want to show total responses per question so we can easily track drop off. I can see there is a “count” field for each question, but I cant figure out how to only display the number of responses per question in a widget.Not sure if its filters or something else?

we run about 21 different courses on Brightspace. I’d like to set up one survey that will offer up different blocks of questions depending upon which course they’ve just completed.we either embed the Qualtrics at the end of the course or could automate a link to be sent.whilst we could of course ask what course they’ve just done, I am wondering if the distribution link can be used as a proxy for that information.ie multiple distribtion links that go to the same survey, but the link itself sets some of the survey parameters?currently we have one survey for each course, which is a complete pain! difficult to know where to start- any pointers appredciated :)

How do I restrict so that whole numbers only and not decimals are allowed?  I thought entering 0 in Max Decimals under validation would work, but apparently not. Also, in other form fields where I have custom validation I cannot ALSO add validation to require a whole number, or at least it doesn’t seem like I can.  Seems like I am limited to one set of validation logic?  We have logic to require a value greater than that answered in a prior question and there isn’t a way to add a content validation on top of that.

Hello, Sorry I am a noob and am in tears.I’d like the option to end the survey as soon as the volunteer selects an answer deeming them ineldigble to participant in the study (to avoid wasting their time further).I thought I followed the instructions but it’s not working - When I test, i get to that question and rather than ending the survey it continues to the next question :(Do I need to have all questions as an individual block???  What am I missing?Please help 🙏🙏 

I want to send a file at the end of every day that contains all the completed survey responses. The issue is my IT department won’t allow for sftp so I need some out of the box solution. I know I can send individual emails in a workflow with the survey response, but I don’t want people to be getting emails all day long. Is there a way to “batch” send the emails (either send a bunch of individual emails at once, OR preferably have it contain all the responses from that day). I’ve also been thinking about making a data table on a dashboard or report and exporting it that way. Open to any ideas!

Hello, I added a field to my XM directory contact list called WellRive Branch. I then went into my data set and added this as a field and added it as embedded data to my survey. I am trying to add display logic based on the WellRive Branch but when I get to the value there is nothing there. What am I doing wrong? 

I’m not sure if I’ve explained this as well as I could with the title … First we have our simple quota based on the country embedded data field, e.g. 50 respondents from UK (straightforward) But then in the survey we ask them about interactions with different groups: so 1 respondent might interact with X number of people from Y groups. So after completing the survey we might have: 1 UK responsethat covered3 people in Group A10 people in Group B2 people in Group C In addition to restricting UK responses to 50, can we also restrict UK-Group A to 80 people, UK-Group B to 150 people, etc (values are just for example)? So when a new survey session commences, I want to be able to check the complete dataset and see the current sum for the Group A embedded data field and check it is less than 80, and once it reaches 80 close the quota? And for extra complexity, can this work as a “least fill” ? Thanks!

We inherited a survey that contains a fairly large Matrix table (50 questions with a five point scale). The Matrix table is a list of skills associated with a discipline and respondents need to rate how important that skill is to them.  The matrix table question, is followed by this text-box question:You identified X, Y, Z skills as very important or important, Please tell us why. “X,Y,Z” above uses piped text to display the question text only if users identify a skill as very important or important (scale point 1 or 2), but when we test the survey we get many blank values when users select neither of those options. I looked at the code and I see where they how it is making questions display, but i do not see how it is preventing the blanks. Can advice? I can post the code if you like.

I need assistance in displaying the anchor labels from the screenshot above on a single line—for example, 'Very Good'—instead of splitting them across two lines, such as 'Very' on one line and 'Good' on the next.

Slider Lables to be repostioned Hi, I would like to reposition the labels in my slider question. Currently, they appear above the slider, but I want them to be displayed below it, as shown in the picture, with 0% and 100% positioned at the ends of the slider. I have tried using some JavaScript, but it they don’t seem to be working. Can you please help?

I have mouse overs /hovers in my survey in a) question texts and b) response options. Now, for some of these, the mouseover/tooltip text itself should be based on meta data of my particpants. E.g. assume I’m doing an engagement survey and participants’ metadata has a data field called “business_unit” that stores, well, the business unit of each employee. Now, I sometimes have question texts or response options like “How do you rate your business unit?” or “My business unit is XYZ”. Hey everyone!I need to do a pilot test of my survey for my research. I am aware that when I import into SPSS Qualtrics separates between the preview answers and the ones which occured post survey activation. As I want to just test some things on my survey and I have no room for deleting active responses afterwards, I need to distribute it on preview to a short number of people for them to try it. But as I generate a link, everyone needs to sign in or log in to try it. If you know anyway to counter this, I would deeply appreciate it!Thanks a lot. 

Thanks to some help here in the community I was able to hide the “powered by Qualtrics” button that usually appears on each survey page at the lower right corner. I’m using the following JS code on the first question in each of my survey blocks: Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnReady(function(){ /*Place your JavaScript here to run when the page is fully displayed*/ jQuery('#Plug').attr('style', 'display:none !important');});This works just fine. However, it unfortunately doesn’t work on the very last survey page, i.e. where the “end of survey” message appears because on that particular page there is no option to add JS code. Is there any other way I could hide that button?

I have created an XM dashboard from two mapped data sources. One of the widgets I created is pulling in inaccurate data due to incorrectly coded values on the survey. I recoded the values and re-published the survey but the data is still not pulling in correctly. There are no options to manually refresh the data dashboard that I can see. How can I update my widget to pull in the correctly recoded data?
