Display random chosen text from a specified list in subsequent steps

I have a question for a survey I need to run. After some research I am still not completely sure how to achieve what I have set out to do.Here is what I want to do: I have ~30 (unique) text snippets (reviews). I want to display 3 (randomly chosen) of those 30 and then have the respondents fill out a multi item questionnaire. This should be done in subsequent steps instead of all on one page. Basically following this core logic:     Page 1: Text Snippet 1    Page 2: Questionnaire    Page 3: Text Snippet 2    Page 4: Questionnaire    Page 5: Text Snippet 3    Page 6: Questionnaire   What would be the best way to get this to work? Should I just create a block with 1 text element for each text snippet I have and then use the randomizer in survey flow? Or is there a better way? How can I make sure that not by chance the respondents get the same snippet displayed twice? The questionnaire is always the exact same scale - but of course, I need to link every answer to the text snippet for the a

Extracting Info from a Trigger Email?

Hi, A bit of a weird idea, but: I have a group of people take Survey A where they describe a friend and provide their email address. I then set up an email trigger to send that friend Survey B to fill out (I figured out that part just fine). I’m hoping to somehow get a common ID number in both files so I can link them. Right now, I created an embedded data field “ID” in Survey A. I then had the email trigger paste that ID number into the email to a friend with Survey B. Right now, I’m asking that friend to copy the ID number into Survey B before they take it.  However, I’d prefer to make the process smoother (and remove the potential for error). Is there a way for Survey B to automatically grab the embedded ID number from the email that was sent? Ideally, this could be pasted in the data file somewhere. I figured I could maybe try to put an embedded data in Survey B but, alas, that doesn’t seem like the right way to grab a yet-identified embedded data from an email or Survey A to paste

Import from OneDrive into an Import Data Project

I have seen lots of export questions but mine is  the opposite. I see in creating workflows I can schedule a check into a Google Drive folder. I’ve tested that and it works great. My work does not allows us to put certain things into Google Drive, however. My need is to do the above, but with a folder in OneDrive. I don’t see this as an option. If it can be done by signing into a Google Drive, it seems like this should be an option as well. Am I just missing it somewhere?

Issue with button font size

I tried creating a new message for the text that appears in the Next button, and saving it to my library. While the update does apply, it seems to display all the HTML (or whichever programming language?) with the button text. It does this whether I change just the text size (which was my aim) or also update the font as well. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I saw an image in an old post with this same problem from 5 years ago, so I’d guess it’s some sort of persistent Qualtrics issue. It looks like this:

Scoring project blocks linked to library blocks

My survey project is using question blocks that are linked to corresponding library blocks. When I go to set-up the scoring in my survey project, it says that the blocks are "locked" and I'm unable to select any of the questions to include in a score category. Is there a way around this?

Undefined question when importing .txt

I am designing a survey with a large number of nearly identical Likert scale questions. Because it would be arduous to copy in every question, especially because the survey is still in the works and the format may change before final deployment, I wrote a script that turns a spreadsheet with the questions into a .txt file in the format outlined here so that I can import them into the web builder all at once. It seems like the generated file is syntactically valid, and it imports *almost* correctly (the question types, formatting, etc. are correct). However, the question text on all of the imported questions is set to “undefined” rather than the correct text from the imported file, so I would still have to go into each one and copy the question text from my spreadsheet to make the survey useful.There are two things that I think might be responsible, assuming my syntax is correct. First, some of the question text is in Cyrillic (the survey is for a study of Russian language acquisition)

Measuring real world behavior

Hi everyone,I need to match data from an online survey (part 1, done through Qualtrics) with a real-world action by the survey respondent (part 2). The platform for real-world action is flexible. It can be making a donation (say through a website accepting USD), signing an on-line petition, etc. Can anyone tell if it’s possible to match the online survey respondents with their real-world action (singing in case of online petition or amount in case of donation). New explanation to my problem (it may be Custom code but I am not sure)

I'm currently experiencing an issue with the piped text values in my Qualtrics survey, specifically related to dynamic responses. The issue arises when participants choose their preferred free music service. Instead of displaying "YouTube Music" (which some participants select), the survey always shows "Spotify (free)" as the value for the "FreeService" field. This problem is occurring in the "Device Switching Reminder" block, specifically in question Q866.I have verified that the question IDs are correct and that the piping setup appears to be configured properly. Despite this, the value being piped is incorrect. After working with Qualtrics Support, they suggested that the issue lies within the custom JavaScript code used in my survey, which seems to be blocking the proper value from being piped in.The support representative tried several debugging steps, including placing the relevant questions side-by-side and modifying the piped text values directly. Dynamic privacy link based upon country and not only language.

Hello everyone,I am looking for an idea or solution to the following problem:I have to create a questionnaire in 5 languages and insert a link to the privacy policy. The problem is that one language can be associated with several countries (e.g. French for both France and Belgium).What is the best way to configure the question type Text / Graphic to meet this requirement?I thought about using a Piped Text via Survey Flow, e.g.: if language is FR and country is BE then the Embedded Data ‘link_privacy’ is ‘<a href=’https://test/fr-be/privacy‘>Politique de confidentialité</a>’, but this is not a robust solution. I could have the browser set to English and visit a site in French, at which point logic would dictate that the text above would be written in French instead of English.An alternative I have considered is to create many texts/graphics, one for each language+country combination, and set up the display logic. Dynamic responses

Hi I’m trying to setup dynamic responses based on the users choices throughout my survey.Ai is saying: (after doing some initial testing)Specifically, the value for "FreeService" is showing as "Spotify (free)" instead of "YouTube Music." The expected behavior is for "YouTube Music" to be the value for the "FreeService" option. I've verified that the question IDs (QID559, QID560, QID818, QID830 etc) match the correct questions, but the incorrect value is still being fetched. Maye it’s the piped text values not correctly set up or something else in the survey setup (i spent a lot of time making the different choices), so it’s really hard to understand why it isn’t working.If anyone needs more info about the survey, please let me know :)Luke

Question not appearing in survey

Hello Community,I’m having a block of questions fail to show up in my survey flow no matter what I’ve tried, and despite all other solutions I’ve seen online. This block, the “Ranking question” block, uses a Loop and Merge table, which loops based on a single selection from an earlier hidden multiple choice question. The choice for the hidden question, in turn, is set with a this.setChoiceValueByRecodeValue() function: The console.log() shows the base_row_divided value correctly in the console. This is a single numerical variable corresponding to the recode values in the hidden multiple choice question). Nonetheless, the “Ranking question” block will not show up later in the survey. Perhaps the this.setChoiceValueByRecodeValue() function isn’t setting the choice correctly in my hidden multiple choice question?  Has anyone experienced this or know of another solution?(More context, so you know what solutions I’ve tried)- I don’t think it is a survey flow issue: after a branch, the parti

Real-time processing of individual responses with R code in Qualtrics workflow

I understand that Qualtrics allows survey data to be analysed collectively for all participants under Data & Analysis → Stats iQ → Advanced → R code.However, I am interested in analysing responses individually, as they are submitted, using R code. The process would work as follows:A participant completes the survey. As soon as the response is submitted, it is processed using R code to generate a PDF report. This PDF report is then attached to an email in a Qualtrics workflow and sent to the participant.Is such a workflow possible?Currently, I download the data, identify new responses, run the code, and send emails manually. I thought it would be more efficient to automate this.Thank you.

URGENT HELP NEEDED IN LIVES SURVEY - Javascript not working

We need urgent help regarding a survey that has been running fine since yesterday but is NOT working fine now. exporting dataset before "prepared dataset is generated"

I am downloading a large number of Qualtrics datasets as a backup.When I navigate to the “Data & Analysis” tab, it sometimes takes a while for the “prepared dataset” to be generated. However, I’ve noticed that it’s possible to export the dataset before it’s fully generated (which I assume refers to the visual display loading), and the exported file seems to be complete. My question is: is it safe/fine to export the datasets before they are fully generated? Thanks!

Pass embedded data to the Offline app

Is there a way to pass embedded data to the Offline app? We will be conducting an onsite survey (using iPads and the Qualtrics offline app) at several locations and dates and want to make sure we keep track of which response comes from which site.Is there a way to pass embedded data to the offline app? Query String Data Not Populating

Good morning. I am using the same survey for multiple partners. Our partners will complete the survey multiple times in a given year, so I want to differentiate the data based on partner, year of the survey, and survey number (1, 2, 3, etc). I am using External Data Reference to identify the various partners and query strings to identify the year and survey data. In testing, all of the data came through in the results through the URL. However, a partner just used the data LIVE and neither the year nor the survey number appears in the data.
