Qualtrics survey link works on and off

I have been having issues with the link to my Qualtrics study, with it working seemingly on and off. Sometimes it only works on laptops, sometimes only on phones. I've tried all the usual tricks like trying the link on different browsers and turning off my VPN, but there is no pattern I can discern dictating whether the link works or not. Several people have let me know in the last few days that the link is not working. But it appears to be working now for me. I am very confused.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated because I honestly have no idea what is going on.

My imported data database isn't populating in the supplemental data field options

Hello,I am trying to populate my imported data “database” to my supplemental data field on my survey flow- and nothing is populating. I have tried refreshing my account, and deleting and re-importing my imported data project.Any suggestions or support pages that would help with setting this up? Thank you in advance!

Hi All, i am trying to link two surveys together. It has been done by someone in my team before, but now they are not here anymore. so lets say we had three surveys A,B and C. and we had one intake survey, where the managers chose which survey should be sent to the customer form a drop down and filled embedded data fields like customer contact and the survey was sent. Now we have to replace the A, B and C with D, E and F. i want to use the same intake survey and just change the options. Can u please help me what i need to change in the survey flow below? (lets say i am replacing A with D here)

Downloading the Distribution History

My survey that I sent out has 20+ embedded fields.  I’m wanting to report back on response rate’s.  We sent out one survey however with in that survey responders could either be part of one group or part of another group.  When I go to download history in distribution/email screen only set fields are extracted.  Is there another area to view and figure out exact number?  2347 surveys were sent out1718 were sent to group A629 were sent to group BSo far total of 287 have responded however is there an easier way besides doing a Vlook up and downloading two different sheets to see total responses for each.  I can then do the percentages.

Can someone explain the honeypot code for me?

I’m running a survey that’s been targeted by some bots and I came across the honeypot method. The code below was posted several times but I’m confused with what I do with it and to test it.Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function() {jQuery("#"+this.questionId).prev('.Separator').hide();jQuery("#"+this.questionId).hide();}); Is the above correct? Do I simply copy and paste that into the JavaScript after deleting all the other stuff? Do I have to make edits to it? I don’t code so I don’t know if that messes things up. And after I do that, do I simply write my question and only bots will see it?

Question(s) for street address / physical location?

Question: Is there a way to include a question to capture a physical location or street address and for the address to validate? I suppose I could create 4 questions to ask for street address, city, state and zip code, but I would like for the addresses to automatically validate its inputs. Objective: I would like to create a form for users to submit the location for various activities, but I’m stuck on figuring out the best way to capture street address or geolocational data. Because the submitters may not be in the same location as the address, I cannot rely on the user’s location data/metadata. Instead, the user will need to enter the address of the event and I would like that address to automatically validate.

Display logic for embedded date not working

Hello! I´m trying to use display logic for embedded data, however it is not working and I can´t understand why. I have some questions like this one below (see image) that I only want them to appear if “__js__age” is equal ou above 18. However the question it is not appearing for anyone. As an alternative instead of using display logic funtionality I also tried to use javascript code for display logic and put the following code (but is still not working):Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnReady(function() {  var age1 = Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.getJSEmbeddedData("__js_age");  if (age1 !== null && age1 >= 18) {    jQuery(this.questionId).show(); // Show the current question  } else {    jQuery(this.questionId).hide(); // Hide the current question  }}); I also put some alerts for debuging purposes and when I run the survey a alert pops up saying “hiding question” or “showing question” (as it should) but in reality the question still appears. And yes, the embedded date is calculating righ

Is it possible to have "Incomplete Survey Responses" to record under 1 hour?

Hi all,I am wondering as to whether it is possible (via code or whatever) to set the Incomplete Survey Response timer to be less than 1 hour after a participant has edited a response - which is the minimum in the dropdown list? Thank you in advance.

Can quotas increment based on a cumulative set of response options?

Hello -  I am needing to have quotas set where the smallest and largest range of products are adequately covered within my survey population.  The product sizes are based on height and width; the quotas need to be set for the shortest height option (8mm) as well as the tallest height option (14mm), regardless of the width.  Vice versa, quotas are needed for the thinnest (22mm) and widest (36mm) option.   My preference is to have the survey respondents select the height X width that was used in one selection (Ex.: 8X22), but I am struggling to find info on how to make quotas work for a cumulative of selected responses (8X22, 8X26, 8X32, and 8X36).  Ideas?  Any help would be appreciated!

Generating participant ID

I have a two part study. The first part is an online survey and second part is an in-person lab study. Based on how participants answer the survey, the lab study will differ. There are 4 different conditions. I want qualtrics to assign participants with ID (i.e. that is they can see the id and take note of it), so when they come to lab based on that ID participants will be put in a particular condition.So ID needs to be 3 digits. I want the first digit to indicate the condition and the second and third digits to indicate their number in that particular condition. So a 403 id would indicate that this participant is the third participant to be placed in 4th conditions.So what I have done I have used branch and embedded data. So based on how participants answer they are assigned to a particular condition (this is noted in the embedded data). So this looks like then if the branch condition is met, embedded data: Condition = 1. Now I want qualtrics to calculate the ID based on this. Let's s

Workflow: using question response to point to Google sheet tab

We have a survey that uses branches to take respondents to specific blocks of questions based on an initial question.  In other words, answer A sends respondents to block A, answer B sends respondents to block B, etc.  Using a workflow, survey results are exported to a Google sheet.  What I’m attempting to do is use a condition to direct the responses to corresponding tabs in the Google sheet.  So if one respondent answered A & completed the A block questions, their results go to the A tab, while someone who answered B & completed the B block questions has their results go to the B tab, and so forth.  I’m having trouble attaching the tasks and conditions.  Can someone help me some instructions or a link?  Thanks.

How to apply skip/display logic to side by side matrix questions type

I have attached a screenshot to better explain what we want. Basically, if the participant selects No then the other side by side matrix should not be shown to them. If there is any other way to go about such questions types, please let us know.

Reset Average Resolution Time

We started creating a ticketing process and submitted several test tickets but then didn’t revisit the process for several months. We’re now ready to go live, but the average resolution time is 75 days. Is there a way to reset the resolution time so that we can start from 0?

Issues with Workflow triggers to update XM Directory causing duplicate records when switching from LDAP to Shibboleth authentication

I’ve encountered a frustrating issue with XM Directory workflow update triggers. I have a survey which authenticates users via SSO and allows the user to create a unique XM directory entry that can be called back in and updated over time. This has worked fine using LDAP SSO authentication, but all of a sudden it will not recognize the existing records in the XM directory once I switched the authentication to Shibboleth and creates a new record with each new submission, even though it is set to update existing records.Some important details:The survey uses an SSO authenticator associated with an XM Directory using Shibboleth to give that user access to the survey, but there is a second authenticator nested in the survey flow that associates with a different XM Directory, and this is the directory I am associating the survey content with. The idea is that an advisor logs into the form, but then they enter a student’s unique identifier to either create a record for them, or to call, edit,

How can we easily capture sub-reasons in survey question builder?

Hi, We have a post support contact survey where customers select the reason for their contact such as billing, technical issue, quoting, claims, etc. To better analyze the feedback, we are interested in getting a level deeper, so for ‘billing’, is the contact regarding ‘upset about rate increase’, ‘not understanding bill’, ‘not receiving bill’, etc. Is there a way to create a survey question that is adaptable, so if customer selects ‘Billing’, it would display the sub-reasons beneath for them to choose a more granular reason without building a ton of display logic? Thanks so much for any help or insights.

Hi I have a question in my survey which is how many children do you have - Depending on the response I have set up blocks/branches which all works fine.What I need is that participants are able to answer each question with a ‘subheading’ for each childIdeally to look like the following:Do your children like carrots?Child 1:yes nounsure Child 2:yesno unsure In some of the questions, there needs to open text boxes again for child1, child2, child3 etc (depending on the amount of children selected. Very grateful for any help, or a nudge in the right direction on options to look at. Thanks Becky

Survey export to word looks completely different

Hello,I am trying to export a survey to a word doc, but it looks completely different. The word document does not show half of the items I put in, instead showing generic blocks (e.g. “Text / Graphic Thanks for checking out the Qualtrics Surveys Question Walkthrough! “). It only does this for the word export. The pdf export looks perfectly normal. 😕

Our organization would like to be able to customize the anonymous survey links, as noted in this support doc.  However, our links are locked as ‘read only’.  Is there an option or user access level that would allow us to edit the links?  Thanks.

Custom file name pdf export of report

I want to generate pdf reports of responses for individuals within a group. Is there a way to adjust how Qualtrics names the exported report? Currently it is just a very long string of letters and numbers which isn’t helpful when I’m doing it for 20+ individuals. Can I have Qualtrics use something like a specific field with their last name to name the pdf file? For example, Joe Smith’s report when exported would be named Smith.pdf. Thanks!

Auto-advance question time lag

We are trying to set up an auto-advance question for our first CSAT question that is in-line on an email. We want parity with StellaConnect (who we migrated away from) However I am seeing the ugly lag between answering in-line > page load > next page in survey displaying. similar to this thread:  Any advice on how to beat the lag? Should I have all of my questions in one block separated by a page break? Just not sure how to have logic that only displays certain questions based on the in-line answer.
