How to limit choice selections in a multiple choice question

I've have been searching and researching for an answer to my situation:I have a multiple choice question with 4 options. I want to ensure the user cannot select more than 2 options. In earlier versions of Qualtrics, I was able to set the maximum number of options easily, now that option is non existent, so I believe since I can't find it.I need to use custom validation to set a number limit for each choice, min of 5 and max of 8. as shown below. But, if a person has 3 8's I want to limit their total choices to only 2 and not submit all 3 answers even though they are the high choices. I would very much appreciate someone offering a feasible answer. My research keeps finding the "old" way but not how to do it in this current version.

How to change the label positions on a slider

Hi everyone,I would like to change the label positions on a slider so that they appear directly above the value they adress.With a normal rich context editor this looks the slider looks like this:or if I make the labels centered even worse:I simply want to have the labels "strongly negatively" and "strongly positively" to appear directly above -100 and 100 respectively. Like here:Is there any way to do this? Many thanks in advance!

Advanced Randomization Help

I'm stumped with a survey design because I'm not sure how to independently randomize as many things as I want to in the way I want to. I've tried every combination of block randomizer, question randomizer, and loop & merge I can think of. I have 2 sets I want to independently counterbalance without repeats: a list of 8 pairs of terms and a list of 8 questions. I want both the order of terms and the order of questions the terms are piped into randomized, and I don't want anything to repeat.To add a wrinkle, I only want to display one member of the pair of terms.See janky diagram:

Conflict with survey option "Allow respondents to complete later"

Dear Community,We have a survey in which respondents have to participate several times and which is very complex (branches) as well as very long. Sometimes respondents also have to interrupt the survey to research information. Through the survey option "Allow respondents to complete later", this is possible through an appropriate cookie. In the case of incorrect entries, however, this means that it is not possible to go back and the survey must first be completed in order to start a new survey. It would therefore be desirable to have a function that deletes the cookie in the cache despite activated "caching" and enables the questionnaire to be reloaded. Does Qualtrics already have a solution or a workaround for this? Kind regardsDaniel

Show survey question based on date

Hi all,I'm trying to set up survey question that only shows if a specific date requirement is fulfilled. I have attached my survey flow setup. The screenshot "survey flow" was taken on 12/3. I set date 1 to "tomorrow" and date 2 to "next week" and to show the question block if either requirements are met, i.e. if either Date 1 is equal to 12/4/2022 or Date 2 is equal to 12/8/2022. I then set a display if Date 1 or Date 2 is equal to the embedded data (biweekly EMA screenshot) in the survey. I've been playing been playing around with it and it did work as intended once but has not worked since. I'm wondering what I need to change in my setup. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Users having problems with logins

We are having problems with users that when they are not on campus or their offices then cannot login to their Qualtrics accounts or respond to any Qualtrics surveys. They are getting DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN message. They have cleared their cookies/cache, tried all the browsers and get the same error message. The same user will be able to login to their accounts when they are on campus/office.We even had non Qualtrics users having problems answer surveys also they get the DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN. It seems to be hit and miss error messages.Anyone know how to fix this problem?

Can't view element counts in randomizer (evenly display choices)

Hi, I have a select all item where respondents select products they have used from a list. Then I have another multiple choice item using carry forward choices, for the selected choices from the previous product item. The multiple choice item has a randomizer on it. I used advanced randomization options and selected randomize subset. It is set up to randomly select one product from the products they selected in the select all product item. This item has java script and html to hide the entire item from respondents since it's only purpose is to just randomly select a selected product. I want to test how the evenly display choices option in the advanced randomization menu would work given my situation. I generated test data so I could see how the data exported etc. But when I try to see the element counts in the evenly display choices section (in advanced randomization options), it doesn't any counts. It just shows an empty box. I have looked online and everyone else seems to be able t

SSO configured via Azure, Just in time provision enabled but still receiving error on sign in

Hi All,As outlined in the question, we have configured the SAP Qualtrics enterprise app in Azure for SAML authentication. We then created a new connection in Qualtrics SSO, and made this the default organization login for SAML. From within this connection, I have downloaded the service provider data and uploaded it into the Azure enterprise app, SAML config. I have also uploaded the metadata.xml from Azure into the Identity provider settings into the SSO settings in Qualtrics. Also within SSO, I have enabled "Just in time provisioning". From what I can see everything looks to be correct, but when we attempt to sign in via SSO we receive the error "We are unable to process your username or the username doesn't exist in our system.".I have confirmed through SAML trace that the attributes are being passed, and have configured the user attribute fields in the Qualtrics SSO screen to match. Would any of you knowledgeable folks here happen to have a suggest as to how I can correct this? T

Randomly select vignettes without replacement

Hi community!I've got 10 different vignettes and need to accomplish the following: -Randomly select 2 to display both at the beginning and again at the end of the survey-Randomly select 4 others to only display at the beginning of the survey-Display the remaining 4 only at the end of the survey.Anyone able to help with this? Happy to accomplish it via embedded data, custom JS, advanced randomization, Randomizer blocks, or whatever!Thanks in advance for your help!

How to address our: Q_PopulateValidate = null/empty for survey responses when it should not

CSME-47557.pdfQ_PopulateValidate = null/empty for survey responses received and it should NOT be happening as a fx was put in place that : Added a separate block to appear before actual question and auto click of next button when answered.Added branch logic to capture Q_PopulateValidate embedded data and use later to populate stars on third page of survey when entered via online portal (admin console.) I did discover a way to replicate  Q_PopulateValidate = null/empty for survey responses available/taken via the Admin Console . Creating an ADMIN ONLY block that is not viewable to the person taking the survey.

What I'm trying to do is create an admin only block that appears at the end of the survey and is not viewable to the applicant at all. I was trying to use branching logic to place this after the end of the survey but I'm not sure which conditions to use to trigger this. Can you help me?The office use only questions in the admin block will help us track who was assigned that case and if it was approved, denied, or pending.

Calculating individual completion percents for each survey response.

I am currently working on a project where part of our data analysis involves only accepting responses that have completed 90% or more of our survey. Is there any way to set something like this up? Fairly new to qualtrics, so any ideas or suggestions are incredibly appreciated. Thanks!

Validation to add the sum of 3 text boxes in multiple choices question to be 100

I need help with validation on a multiple-choice question. The question has 4 options. The sum of options 1, 2, and 3 should make a sum of 100. If not, an error box should pop up stating the sum of 1,2,3 should be 100. If the user chooses, option 4, then he can proceed to the next question. Eriksen Flanker Task-Java Script- Can't find where it saves the data!

For my research, I need to use a selective attention task. I found an online tutorial on writing the JavaScript for this task and incorporated it into my study with a new block. I never wrote Java Script before so probably did a mistake along the way. The Script worked, so when I preview the study I can see the attention task. The problem is it does not save the data when I download the SPSS file. I am copy-pasting the codes down. I would much appreciate it if anyone can help me how to fix it so that it saves the data. Distribution report - adding contact attribute/embedded data

I'm new to QualtricsI sent an invitation to survey, using a contact list, with several attributes (embedded data?) - one of them 'input source'. I had several contacts with a hard bounce, and I am trying to determine the 'input source (who gave me the contacts) , but this is not a standard field on the distribution history report. I would normally map this to external data - but i failed to do so for this survey. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!Carolyn

Is it possible to recode values after collecting survey responses?

I have collected over 200 responses for a study that involves multiple questionnaires and need to begin scoring the questionnaires. I've imported the data to SPSS and noticed that the answers to each question are associated with a number set by Qualtrics (ex: "yes" is 1, "no" is 2). Some questions in my survey need to be scored differently (for example, for one question the response "always" might add 5 points, but for another the response "always" might only add 1 point). Is there a way I can recode the numbers associated with answer choices after I have collected responses? I did some research on recoding but Qualtrics gives a warning at the beginning of the article that says "Recode values stop updating to reflect the new answer choice order once you start collecting responses (or if you copy a survey that has collected responses). Please note that these answer values may need to be changed manually."Is there a way to work around this? I just want to make sure I have the correct num
