Prevent users from editing messages in shared library

I created an organization library which includes email and end of survey message templates. Is there a way to prevent users from editing the templates? I would like my users to copy the templates and make their edits to the copied version.

Display Logic to multiple answers

I've built a survey that includes a Multiple Choice question with over 100 answers. I need to apply Display Logic to every answer. Is there a way to apply Display Logic to multiple answers at once or do I need to add it to each answer individually?

Stims with different durations in a block

Hi, I am hoping to display 50 images randomly. However, I want 25 of those 50 images displayed at 1 second each, whereas the other 25 displayed at 2 seconds each. So the sequence would look like Image 1 - (displayed 1s)Image 2 - (displayed 2s)Image 3 - (displayed 1s)...Is this achievable? Would appreciate any helps - thanks!

Embed one question o on Outlook email

Is it possible to embed one question from Qualtrics in the email content on Outlook? We would like to ask the client a question to respond with Yes or No, and for the question to be part of the Outlook email text (not to be redirected to the Qualtrics website). Customer complaint

Hi Guys,Please advise. I got feedback from a customer for Survey QR code after scanning the QR, there is some ad showing for 3-5 sec. as attached image. Do Qualtrics push any ads or any reason how an ad gets popped when scanning a QR code.

First block disappears in the preview as soon as I configure Loop & Merge

I've spent hours trying to figure out something that looks like it should be simple so thought I'd reach out to the community for help. Goal: I want respondents to use the first block to select Twitch streamers that they're familiar with (from a multiple choice list - about 40 checkboxes. I then want them to use a second block to answer the same set of questions per selected streamer. Eventually, I would like to have a second section of the survey where they then answer questions about themselves..but I can't seem to get to that part because I must be doing something wrong with the first part. Problem: I tried following the directions in the loop & merge documentation to set up that functionality. However, whenever I preview, the first block where the user is supposed to select their known streamers disappears. Also, the piped text isn't dynamic and only shows the username of the first option in the selection list. Notes: I have tried this both with loop&merge set and not set on the s

Asking the same questions about different referents across blocks - possible to merge responses?

Dear community,We are running a survey that randomly assigns respondents to receive a vignette about one of five technologies, and then answer questions related to that technology. The questions are the same across technologies, it is just the referent that is different (e.g. I can rely on Technology A/B/C/D/E). Obviously, these are housed within five different blocks, and those blocks are presented randomly.When I download test data into SPSS, each referent variable has a column (e.g. Trust_A, Trust_B, Trust_C, Trust_D, Trust_E), and there are gaps depending on which condition a respondent answered - so if they answered questions relating to A, all of the other variables related to B-E are empty. What I want to do is have all responses under a merged "Trust" variable, and use a separate condition variable to test for differences (apologies for not explaining this very well!). Is there a way to set this up in Qualtrics so everything is pretty much arranged as I want when it comes to do

Randomizer does not work with preview?

Hello, I have added randomizer with a few blocks on the survey. I previewed the survey a few time and to see it randomizes. I noticed that the blocks it do not seem to randomize.

Change editor look & feel?

Hi all - I'm not finding a post on this but to be fair I didn't search terribly hard.I have a huge monitor. I like using all of the space efficiently. The Qualtrics survey editor does not agree.How can I do any of the following?Collapse questions on the screen so that a single Matrix question doesn't take up my whole monitor.Shrink the view in the editor so that I can see more of the questions and content of my survey? Right now I have to use the browser zoom which I hate doing.Maybe just change the general view of stuff in the editor? Like, is there a way to change the default font of the editor as a whole or anything else so that this can just be more efficient? I feel like there's so much wasted space.Sorry if this has been asked before. I'm just getting really mad that I can only see one matrix question at a time on my screen...there is SO MUCH wasted space.

Carrying forward selections to a follow up question

I am building a survey where people first identify the relevance of a construct and then in the next question they rate how relevant the items are, but I can't get the follow up question to only produce constructs previously identified as relevant. It just produces the full list. How do I get this to work?

Randomised display of specific subsets of items within a question set

Dear community,This may be a very simple question, but I haven't been able to find an answer to it.I have a question with 15 items within a block containing other questions. I see the items that make up this question as comprising up 5 subsets (1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15), and would like to randomly present participants with 1 item per set so they receive 5 items in total (e.g 1,5,8,10,13 - 2,4,9,11,15, etc). Ideally, I would like to do this in a way that is completely random. I know I could set up specific sets in different blocks and use the randomizer, but that wouldn't allow for complete randomisation. Could anyone advise whether this is possible, or what the best workaround would be?Many thanks in advanceKind regardsSteve

Input from optional text entry not being recorded

I have a multiple choice checkbox list and one of the options is "other - please specify" with an optional text entry.How do I record the responses from this text input? There is a column for it in the data table but nothing is being recorded there. Feel sure I'm missing something obvious but I can't tell what!Could it be because I'm carrying forward this response to another question and it only gets recorded if that question is answered? The follow-up question is optional and not displayed by default - so if this is the case how would I record the input regardless?

Digital VOC Survey Length vs. Invite Method

Hello - I know 'shorter is better' when it comes to surveys, but was curious if anyone has any data around; survey duration, completion percentage, and invite method. What me and my team have been wrestling with is - what are the acceptable/ideal survey length for a digital site intercept vs. an e-mail survey post visit. Does anyone have any data/experience they can share about this? File names in different languages

Hello, I a question regarding uploading files with names in different languages, namely Japanese. When a respondent attaches a file in Japanese, the file name in the subsequent download becomes a bunch of underscores which usually extent past the name character limit and as a result removes the file extension and renders the file unable to be opened.If I manually add the extension back (pdf, msg, etc) it opens normally. I also tried to change the survey language to Japanese but the file name issue still persisted.If there is a solution for this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Presenting a subset of questions in a set order while everything else is randomized

Hi all!I have a set of questionnaires I want to present randomly within a block (visualised below). I know I can do this with the Question Randomization function, but I have a requirement I'm not sure how to get around.Mostly, each questionnaire corresponds to one question in the block on Qualtrics (eg. Questionnaire 1 and 2). However, I have a questionnaire that involves multiple questions (eg. Questionnaire 3). I'm looking for a way for these questions to be always presented together in the same order even as all the questions within the block are randomized. In other words, I'm wondering if it's possible for Questionnaire 3a and 3b to be presented together while having Questionnaires 1, 2 and 3 randomized. The position of Questionnaire 3 does not have to be fixed within the block, but wherever Questionnaire 3 is, the items in Questionnaire 3 should always be presented together. Another alternative is to group the questions in Questionnaire 3 such that they can fit in one Qualtrics q

Incomplete Responses record with embedded data

Hi! I have designed a survey with invitation distributed by CRM with embedded data stored in the link via &. I need to see empty responses of those who opened survey (clicked and Qualtrics loaded the survey) and closed it without making any progress. In tutorial is said that such empty responses with embedded data should be stored. May be Im doing something wrong but I don't see such data which I need for response rate analysis. "Attention: If there’s embedded data saved on a response or a text/graphic question at the beginning of your survey, the response will not be registered as empty. Because of this, the response will be saved after the timeframe chosen runs out, even if no questions have been answered."

Greetings Community, I am trying to setup two questions in my survey where one question is rely on another as far as the dropdown. I am trying to create a sub-question under the NPS question in one Block to ask the customer to "Please Explain their Score". I don't see any options to add a sub-question or I don't see any options to merge two blocks.

How to recode the values of non-numbers?

In qualtrics, I know how to recode if the values are numbers. But currently I have a question: what state are you live in the U.S.? So there are 50 states. And what I want recode is AL, AK, AZ,... These are letters not numbers. I don't know how to do.

A streak of numbers displayed separately

Hello! I want to create a procedure in which there is a cognitive workload condition. The way in which I wanted to implement it is to have a streak of, let's say, 7 numbers, which would pop up one by one for certain amount of time on the screen of the participant. Is that actually possible to do? Does qualtrics allow for this type of thing? I think that one of the ways of implementing that is just creating separate pages with nothing but a single number on them with a certain amount of time after which they switch, but maybe there is a way to to something like that in a more coherent and fluid way, along the lines of a mini-slideshow.

Can I use the piped text from a different question block?

Hello!I have a web service & loop that I use in block 1 and block 2. A participant is randomly assigned to receive either block 1 or block 2. Then, the block contains a piped text, which shows the participant a random article (from a list of 300).Afterward, in blocks 7 and 8, I would like to reshow the participant the same piped text. Block 7 piped text will be shown if the user was assigned to block 1 initially, and block 8 piped text will be shown if the user was assigned to block 2 initially.So, my question is, how can we reuse/refer to the same piped text that was used in an earlier block? This way, I will be able to show the article that was shown in block 1 once again in block 7 (and the same thing goes for blocks 2 and 8).Thanks a lot in advance.

Obtaining the number of questions or answer choices in a survey

Hi there, I'm curious if there is a way to get the number of questions used in a survey? I'd like to get a count without manually counting them, if possible.Also, is there a way to get a count of the number of answer options in a given survey? For example, if a question has "Yes" and "No" as options (2 answer options) and a matrix table with 10 statements and 5 columns (50 answer options), then the total number of answer options is 52.
