In question 1 , I ask users to rate us on a scale of 0-10.Using display logic, wrote a rule that Question 3 will only be displayed if the the user rating is between 0-8.However, question 3 is not being displayed when the user selects 0-8. I am working on a questionnaire with open-ended questions preceded by closed-ended multiple-choice questions with multiple response entries available.I would like to have open-ended questions set up to have a custom validation of a minimum of 1 character in the text box and an option to have participants skip the question if they do not wish to answer it.What is the best option to use? I resorted to using "is displayed" and [or] "is not empty" for the open-ended question prompt. Will this cause issues during the data cleaning process?In addition, I'd like the same option available for multiple-response entry questions. Is using a custom validation with "[question] "is selected" [and] "is greater than or equal to 1" (at least 1 response entry), and [or] "is displayed" a suitable option to use?Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Hi, I wanted to place quota based on age. This is what I have done. And it worked.

How can I distribute a questionnaire in Qualtrics to test the effect of belief about A on belief about B, using A1, A2, and A3 as Likert scale questions to measure belief about A and B as a set of ten Likert scale questions? I would like to ensure that each participant receives only one set of A questions along with the B questions, and that the number of responses for A1 and B, A2 and B, and A3 and B are equal. Can someone provide guidance on how to achieve this in Qualtrics?

I am asking a survey question where I want respondents to first select a single option from a list. Some of those options have additional descriptive choices and some don't. I tried doing a Drilldown question and it's terrible, I really want the first level to show all options. I don't think the Side-by-Side will work because I cannot see how to make the columns have different values for each initial choice.I want the final question to look like this ...() Choice 1 - [Dropdown Menu]() Choice 2() Choice 3 - [Different Dropdown Menu]etc.Does anyone know how to do this? I'm not a JavaScript coder, so hopefully there's a library if this can't be handled within the main survey options. Thanks!

Hi - I'm trying to send a message from a library template I created last week to a new distribution list. When I try to pull up the saved message template- it looks mostly empty and has lost all my text, images, etc. If I send the message template as a preview, it comes through perfectly. If I try to send it to a distribution list, I get a message about updating the library message and it being updated for all future distributions. This concerns me that it is getting set to overwrite my message content with the mostly black form appearing on my screen. Screenshots below- has anyone experience this? Any insight appreciated.Karen

Qualtrics automatically assigns codes for slider questions that include multiple statements. I'm having trouble seeing what those codes are and changing them. For ordinary multiple choice questions, there is an option in the left column to "recode values." For some reason, for slider questions, that option is missing. I can't even see which statements are given which codes, which makes the data impossible to interpret. Does anyone now how to at least see those codes or, better yet, change them?

Hello,I was analysing some data and found that there is a discrepancy between the data respondents can download after they finish the survey (response summary) and the data which is stored in qualtrics (in tab Data & analysis). The survey uses anonymous link. Basically, our respondent send us his PDF which he downloaded after he completed the survey, we then looked into the official survey data in Data & analysis and found a discrepancy in one variable.Does anybody know why this happend?

People are saying they have completed my survey but all the responses are blank on my end and they say "This question was not displayed to the respondent."I have completed the survey myself and gotten the same blank responses with that message even though I answered every question.What is happening and will I be able to get the past responses to show up?Thank you

We having trouble in importing TIME data from CSV file to Qualtrics. The data displayed on Qualtrics is not same as the data we have on the CSV file. Specifically, Data in CSV file is "01/08/21" but the system displays 31/07/21 (1 day difference). We don't understand why the error is like this? Please point it out to usMany thanks!

Hi. So for mine let's say I have blocks A, B, C, D, E, and F and I'm giving participants a choice to finish all blocks (and receive a monetary bonus) or to finish half (and get the base rate). If I use the randomizer and randomly present 3 from A, B, C, D, E, F with evenly present, have a block to give them the choice (let's call it choice block), would adding an additional randomizer that's a duplicate of the first show the other half of the blocks that the participant hadn't seen yet? So, in other words if they randomly saw C, E, and A, then chose to continue, would that participant then see F, B, D next?Thanks!

Hello all,I distributed a survey by email to 49 recipients with university email accounts (SSO). I embedded data using contact list and used the contact list to distribute. The survey worked fine for the first 22 respondents. Then, I started to receive emails that recipients were receiving the message "This distribution was not sent to the expected recipient." As I received an email, I would send them a personalized link and it worked fine. I've searched online with this error message, but could not find an answer or fix. Before I distribute any other surveys using this method, could anyone explain why this is happening and how to prevent it? Thanks.

Hello!We have the date of birth in the embedded data. I set it up as "date" in the survey flow and it shows like this in the data tab - "Jul 1, 1990 7:00 PM". We want to create generations based on birthyear. For example, if birthyear is between 1981 and 1996, they are "Millennials". I tried several ways using branch to create the new variable - generations, but it didn't work out. Did you have a similar experience and how do you solve it?In the branch, I tried using "year" or "YYYY-MM-DD".Many thanks!Caroline

So I recently had an issue where I had two surveys launch in two days. The first one went out just fine, but the second one that went out about 18 hours later, which only had 187 participants on it, came back with 163 duplicate emails. Well obviously that set off alarms.Then someone on my team thought that maybe some names were on both lists and were getting hit with the Qualtrics anti-spamming system. But...I was always told that the anti-spam block only applied to sending the SAME survey out multiple times without making any changes to it....not a completely different survey.Is there a way to get past this block so that this second survey can go out properly?

Is there a way I can track referrals through Qualtrics surveys? Here's an example:Each person that enrolls in the study has a chance to recruit others for the study, and they get $5 for each of their referrals that end up being eligible and participating in our study. But there's also a possibility for others (who do NOT participate in the study) to refer people to our study, and they also get $5 for each of their referrals that end up being eligible and participating in our study.I want to be able to track all referrals from one person back to that person through a form.Right now, I have a study eligibility form and a referral form. For people who want to check their eligibility, they can indicate if they were referred by someone AND also indicate if they want to refer someone (in which case they will be routed to the referral form after completing eligibility). I am currently creating a survey that has 8 drill-down questions that all need the same data in it (We are asking about succession planning so we have to have the entire employee list in each question). Is there a way that I can either copy the question so that I don't have to upload new files to each or write javascript to use the same file for all 8 questions? It keeps throwing me an error on the 5th one that I have hit the maximum allowed cells for the survey. Thanks!

Hi all,I am running my first study and prepared a survey. However, I realised that there are 4 matrix questions which have not been answered fully and I would like to edit the answer choices of the questions and omit some of the options (they are of no use to the study). I am aware that if I edit a question I would lose the existing data. Do you think saving the current results and report and then editing these questions may be a good idea to keep the data and achieve the desired change? Would it be hard to combine two different data sets? I have never done this before and I find it so hard to collect data and get my head around this. Please help! Thanks.
