Creating a 'Sign In" survey for program/event participants to fill everytime they attend. Can I use a membership number to populate the rest of the survey and speed up sign in?

Hi, Like the title suggests, we use Qualtrics to collect client demographics. Currently we have no way for clients to quickly sign in if they are a member. I’m trying to streamline their arrival by designing a “self sign-in” survey where they are prompted to add their membership code and then their demographics are automatically fill the rest of the survey questions. I’ve gotten as far as creating a contact list and using an authenticator in the survey flow but it is problematic when I try put the pipe text into the answer field. Right now it will only accept it into the question line. When I go through the survey as a test, the answer will be in the question line rather than the answer box. Help!

JSON payload sunset

Hi Community!Today I discovered that the JSON payload trigger functionality in Qualtrics is going to be deprecated. This means Qualtrics is phasing out this feature, and I will need to transition to alternative methods for triggering surveys and integrating with external systems. Which functionality do you recommend or find similar to the one I was using, where I created XMD contact and distributed surveys after receiving a JSON payload through a single API call?current distribution tree in a stand-alone workflowI need to replace the first step, as the message in that step is unclear and does not provide any guidance on what to do.Your guidance and help is much appreciated.

Can't correct respondent funnel and distribution data?

There seems to be a huge flaw in the functionality of the respondent funnel as there is no way to correct inaccurate data if there was mistake on the initial distribution data. This is means we have no way to create accurate dashboards that involve distribution data. I’m hoping someone can help as we use the response funnel data to create response rates which are very important to many our of survey clients. We accidentally left out an embedded data field in one of our contact upload and so it was missing from the distribution data when we did the send. Now we have no way of correcting is because Qualtrics says all distribution data is point in time and can’t be changed. But if the data exist in the back end of the platform in the respondent funnel data table then there has to be way to edit it. Has anyone had this issue and found any way to correct this?

One List or different samples

Hi everybody,I have a question about the best way to proceed - perhaps your experience can help me.BackgroundWe would like to set up an NPS survey that we use at a touchpoint in the customer journey.The e-mail addresses come from our CRM system - which one is not relevant in this context, I think.Unique links are to be generated which are then sent back to the CRM and to the mail programme.The addresses and other socio-demographic data are to be recorded in the questionnaire (but this is not part of the question).The sample is drawn in the CRM system once a week. Questions:Now I ask myself what makes the most sense - should it be a list in which all participants are included over time and I extract a sample every week (this would then be the newly added contacts) and in addition how can I automate this?Or do I arrange for a new list to be created once a week and take the sample from this - in this case it would be 100%In both cases it gets very confusing at some point - and this ist ju

Unable to add Contacts in List (Segments & Lists)

Hi,I have a list created in Segments in List section of Directory.I have no rules for merging contacts.I already have a record in list as below (for example):I now would like to add another record as below (Only ExternalDataReference is new): But it updates the 1st record and shows only 1 record as below updating the ExternalDataReference:I have other lists exactly same as this with also no rules set and it add them as 2 records.Please suggest what am I doing wrong.Thanks.

Do you send all your customer profiles to XM Directory ?

Hi, I am curious if most companies are sending all their customer profiles to XM Directory on a daily basis? Our business users want to be able to self serve and select different customers with different products for their surveys. We have a VERY large customer base sending it daily may not be feasible. Wanted to understand what other large companies are doing with their XM Directory.

New workflow interface error

Digital intercept not writing to XM directory

Hi, I have an intercept from our desktop webapp that is working perfectly in the sense that it is pop-over correctly or show the survey with the right language correctly. Meaning, it is working well for identifying the audience and pop the required creative. However, it doesn’t create the contacts in the directory it is attached to. Deleting Users - What data gets lost?

Hello, We are approaching our seat limit with our contract, and want to remove some employees who are no longer with the company to free up some of our seats. I am hesitant to move forward with this because it says ALL data connected with user will be lost. Does that include previous survey responses? I am under the impression that it is any surveys that they may have owned but am looking more specifically about data loss. Any clarity would be appreciated!

Bounce in distribution

Good morning, community... Can you help me with this problem? We are experiencing a high number of email bounces when sending messages to our contact list. Based on my analysis, most of them are due to Email Hard Bounce. However, I tested sending an email to some of these contacts, and the email did not bounce—it was successfully delivered to the recipient. Do you know any other reasons why these bounces might be happening?

Merging contacts - statistics info

HelloI need a little help with regards to Directory setting > Identity Resolution.Let say I want to merge existing contacts based on contact info. Once the merging is completed, let say I need to look for a specific contact on directory contacts, ex: Mr X, will I still have all information about ‘Lists’ and ‘Statistics’.. I mean all the lists from which Mr X was included, the total invites received, the total responses etc..?

Error Merging Existing Contacts

I’m trying to merge my existing contacts. Some do merge but many do not because I get an error saying some clients have more than 500 duplicates. I’m wondering is there a way to find the ones that have 500+ without downloading the entire list, which could take a very long time? Is there something else I could do. Thank you,Alan Traverse

I have a Matrix/constant sum type question without the “Total” row. How do I hide the auto-populated zeros? identity resolution

Hello,I need to merge existing contacts with same external data reference, email addresses, FirstName, LastName, Title but I need to be sure whether Qualtrics will keep the Project name (Survey Name) after I have merged duplicate existing contacts in directories. The project name enables me to retrace from which survey a contact has responded. Will this information be kept after merging using identity resolution?

Identity resolution not working

Hi everyone,I’m experiencing an issue within the Directory. Some time ago I set the rule for merging duplicate contacts based on external data reference values. This rules should apply to all newly added contacts.I just discovers that something is not working since I have duplicates despite the rule.Find below some screenshots about the problem.Can someone explain why this is happening?Best,Carlo

How can I combine question text with answers for display in Text iQ?

Hi there,I have a dashboard with multiple data sources, each containing several open-ended fields that I combine into one summary field for automated tagging in Text iQ. Since some submissions are in languages other than English, I translate these fields in the Qualtrics Data & Analysis tab before concatenating them into the summary open-ended field used in Text iQ.To improve text tagging accuracy, for each data source I'd like to prepend the question text to the respective answers, resulting in such a sequence: Q1 text | Q1 answer | Q2 text | Q2 answer | Q3 text | Q3 answer, and so on.I've tried several methods, essentially concatenating answer fields with question text set as hidden dummy fields (default answer = question text), but none have worked. Does anyone have a different workaround to achieve this?Many thanks in advance!

Adding New Transactional Fields to Directory

Hi all - looking for some guidance around adding new transactional fields to the directory via workflows. For context, our team has transitioned from import automations to workflows. The workflow is triggered daily at a specific time, extracts data from SFTP, adds the transaction to the directory, and then distributes a survey to the transaction. The challenge that we are facing is that it is no longer simple to add new fields to the transaction. Historically, we were able to map a new template to the import automation and add the corresponding fields into the survey flow. It seems that now we need to map this 3 times… once in the SFTP import template, once by adding a new field in the directory, and once on the step to add the transaction to the directory.To add the field to the directory, I have to select a contact and assign a value. I cannot leave the value field blank, otherwise I see this error in the transaction step of the workflow. Build a new customer panel

Hi everyone, I read through some previous posts, some are a bit dated >5 years and others a bit too narrow. My goal is to build a new panel using Qualtrics Audience Management. We’ve decided to use a create a new directory to keep the panel isolated from current directory (which are mostly transactional surveys). As I understand the high level steps involved in establishing a panel, it would involve: Create new directory  Configure panel using Audience Management widget Upload a list to new directory Add a research project (survey) - include opt-in question at end of survey (Alternate to 4) - use pre-configured sign up survey in Audience Management Configure workflow to use embedded data field (“Yes, I agree to join panel...”) Send a welcome questionnaire for joining the panel via workflow  Start engaging opted in panel members in research activitiesIs that generally the steps? How to use 'Transaction Date' in survey

Hi,I've set up an XM Directory Automation for importing contacts (= calls to our hotline) and distributing a transactional feedback survey.The date / time of the customer interaction (call to the hotline) gets imported into the XM Directory as "Transaction Date".I now would like to use the date of the transaction in the survey flow / survey text. For example: "Thanks for calling our service hotline on 23-07-2022!"Is there a way to access the 'Transaction Date' in the survey? I guess I have to set it up as Embedded Data?And if so, is there a way to only use the day (and not the entire time stamp including the time)?Thanks!Manfred

sending out fixed number of survey nudges, only on weekdays

Hi there - I’m doing a research survey that participants should answer only on days that they are working, presumably M-F. I also want them to only answer this for 10 workdays.Whether or not the previous survey was completed, I want them to receive a daily nudge (on workdays) to do that current day’s survey.Each daily survey is the same (same link to the same survey). I am collecting their email address, so sending out the email and embedding the survey link is the easy part. Yet I can’t figure out how to set this up so that they get an email reminder regardless if they have completed the previous day’s survey or not, how I make sure it only goes out 10 times, and how to ensure it goes out on weekdays only.People will be starting the survey on different dates, so I can’t just schedule using the calendar. Ideally, this will all be entirely automated, as I expect a few hundred people to do the survey and I’d rather not have a manual process to get each person up and running. Any ideas? How to Require Audio Completion Before Proceeding in Qualtrics

Hi everyone,I'm trying to ensure that participants listen to an entire audio clip before they can proceed to the next question in my Qualtrics survey. Ideally, the "Next" button should remain hidden until the audio finishes playing. Share survey with whole division automatically
