I have a survey in 2 languages. The base language is English, and I have translated it into Czech. I only want the final version to be in Czech, and I do not want participants to have the option to see the English version. I’d like to know if this is possible (ideally without having to re-write the survey in Czech as base language) and if so, how. In brief, is it possible to only show my survey in my translated language (Czech) to participants, without giving them the option to change the language? How?I’d really appreciate your help!

I have a slider question where I need the numbers from statements 1, 2, and 3 to total 100.IE respondent A count answer 1=50, 2=50, 3=0. respondent B could be 1=20, 2=40, 3=40, etc...I see that I can set min and max per statement, but I need the max to bee for ALL of the statement scores combined.Also how would I do this same thing where they must total 100 on a form field? 

I’m working on uploading state assessment scores to Qualtrics from prior years. There’s about 7 years for the same test with about 3,500 lines for each year.  I’m expecting about 24,500 responses in the imported data file yet it only returns 9,500. I’m using a csv to upload the data, I’m unsure of where to begin troubleshooting.

Hi everyone,My organisation has just launched a large survey and we're attempting to maximise our response rate by using both Email and SMS distributions. This has been easy enough, but I've noticed that the survey link generated in the email distributions are different to those in the SMS. Consequently, users receive two separate surveys.In itself this isn't a huge deal, but it will be a problem when we send out reminders to unfinished respondents. Users that will have completed the email survey will still receive a reminder via SMS, and vice versa for SMS completions.Does anybody have a solution so that one single survey link can be sent/tracked, and we can still send reminders to unfinished respondents? Hi all, I am new to javascript. The validation rule I want is that respondents pass current Rank Order if the options ranked in the last two positions of the current Rank Order question are the same as the options selected in the previous Multiple Choice question (both questions have identical options and corresponding recode values). If this condition is not met, the respondent should see a warning (like a forced response message in red text below the question) when they click next. I have a workflow which imports contacts, with a number of embedded data fields, daily through the Qualtrics File Service. It then uses an XM Directory task to add these contacts to a mailing list, and distribute the survey via email to each contact.This task uses individual links to send the survey. The survey will have some individuals who receive the email, but never complete the survey; in fact, some won’t even start the survey. In this case, for both individuals who have started but not finished the survey, and also for individuals who never even clicked the link in the email, I need a way to view the link that they received (effectively, a way to complete the survey for them). I was wondering if this is possible? Do I somehow have to switch over to using personal links, which isn’t even an option for XM Directory Tasks? or is there some functionality i’m missing. I thought of using Q_URL as an embedded data field, but this would only work for contacts who actually start the surve

BUT also on the next question, the next button is clicked and this question is basically not displayed. Is anyone aware of any changes made by Qualtrics, which could cause this behaviour?Or is there a different solution for auto advance on a matrix question? Thanks!Manfred

Hi,I would like to build a workflow,so that after an employee replied to a survey,a field on their employee data in the Employee Directory is updated.In the workflow builder, I can find (multiple) tasks to update fields in the CX Directory,but none of them seem to be able to connect to the EX Directory.Is there any way by which I can achieve this? Thanks,Joyca

I have a question for a survey I need to run. After some research I am still not completely sure how to achieve what I have set out to do.Here is what I want to do: I have ~30 (unique) text snippets (reviews). I want to display 3 (randomly chosen) of those 30 and then have the respondents fill out a multi item questionnaire. This should be done in subsequent steps instead of all on one page. Basically following this core logic:     Page 1: Text Snippet 1    Page 2: Questionnaire    Page 3: Text Snippet 2    Page 4: Questionnaire    Page 5: Text Snippet 3    Page 6: Questionnaire   What would be the best way to get this to work? Should I just create a block with 1 text element for each text snippet I have and then use the randomizer in survey flow? Or is there a better way? How can I make sure that not by chance the respondents get the same snippet displayed twice? Hi, A bit of a weird idea, but: I have a group of people take Survey A where they describe a friend and provide their email address. I then set up an email trigger to send that friend Survey B to fill out (I figured out that part just fine). I’m hoping to somehow get a common ID number in both files so I can link them. Right now, I created an embedded data field “ID” in Survey A. I then had the email trigger paste that ID number into the email to a friend with Survey B. Right now, I’m asking that friend to copy the ID number into Survey B before they take it.  However, I’d prefer to make the process smoother (and remove the potential for error). Is there a way for Survey B to automatically grab the embedded ID number from the email that was sent? Ideally, this could be pasted in the data file somewhere. I figured I could maybe try to put an embedded data in Survey B but, alas, that doesn’t seem like the right way to grab a yet-identified embedded data from an email or Survey A to paste

I tried creating a new message for the text that appears in the Next button, and saving it to my library. While the update does apply, it seems to display all the HTML (or whichever programming language?) with the button text. It does this whether I change just the text size (which was my aim) or also update the font as well. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I saw an image in an old post with this same problem from 5 years ago, so I’d guess it’s some sort of persistent Qualtrics issue. It looks like this: 

There is a way to have a standalone workflow to update responses when a ticket is created (I don’t want to configure several workflows). I can do it easily when I manually input the survey ID.I’m bringing the survey ID as ticket data, and I also tried to create an API to fetch that information, but it doesn’t work. 

My survey project is using question blocks that are linked to corresponding library blocks. When I go to set-up the scoring in my survey project, it says that the blocks are "locked" and I'm unable to select any of the questions to include in a score category. Is there a way around this?

I am designing a survey with a large number of nearly identical Likert scale questions. Because it would be arduous to copy in every question, especially because the survey is still in the works and the format may change before final deployment, I wrote a script that turns a spreadsheet with the questions into a .txt file in the format outlined here so that I can import them into the web builder all at once. It seems like the generated file is syntactically valid, and it imports *almost* correctly (the question types, formatting, etc. are correct). However, the question text on all of the imported questions is set to “undefined” rather than the correct text from the imported file, so I would still have to go into each one and copy the question text from my spreadsheet to make the survey useful.There are two things that I think might be responsible, assuming my syntax is correct. First, some of the question text is in Cyrillic (the survey is for a study of Russian language acquisition)

I have added a button in my survey, which respondents can click on to read more information. I want to track whether a respondent has clicked on this button and read the additional information. While the button works well, I am not able to track if a respondent has clicked on the button and read the additional information. Below you can find the Javascript that I included to track if a respondent clicks on the button. I also include the HTML code which creates the button. Finally, I have also set embedded data to track the button: I called it “clicked1” and set it as empty. I have tried multiple times, with various Javascript options, and I have not been able to track it in any of the attempts. I have a question in a survey asking the date of the class. I have the default choice as today ${date://CurrentDate/SL} How can I create an embedded data field for the Day of the Week and Month name from this response?

Hi Community, I have multi choice question type. Respondents will be taking the survey with their preferred language.When I try to store the response to an embedded data,  its not getting translated automatically in English. 

Is there a way to pass embedded data to the Offline app? We will be conducting an onsite survey (using iPads and the Qualtrics offline app) at several locations and dates and want to make sure we keep track of which response comes from which site.Is there a way to pass embedded data to the offline app? (Different values for each site)Or is there some better way to achieve our goal?Thanks

I'm thinking about making a gauge chart that will essentially show the number percentage of the "yes" (pictured in a measure group, I would break this out for each question). I.E. I would have a gauge chart for "(Forward) Open Ended Power Question" and it would show 25%, “(Need) Explained Need for the Call” would show 75%, etc.... What's the best way to do this? Right now I have the question mapped in as a text set.  

I've got a side-by-side question with 5 statements as shown:Ideally, I'd like to hide (or blank out) Segments 2, 3, 4 and 5 unless "No" is selected for "Have you arrived at home?" in the previous statement (in this case, Segment 1). If "No" is selected in Segment 1, then Segment 2 is shown but Segments 3, 4 and 5 are hidden, unless "No" is selected for "Have you arrived at work?" in Segment 2 ...etc until all 5 segments are visible. Is there any easy way to do this? I tried just standard display logic built into the question for each statement but I don't think that worked because it was within the same question.Thanks!
