Dear community,I would like to add a 'not applicable' option to a Constant Sum question. What I have now is this:Where I ask every participant to indicate their language preference per domain. However, it might be that this domain is not applicable to the participant (e.g. they don't go to school) so I want them to have the option to say 'not applicable'. Right now, I used a temporary fix by asking them to fill in 100 points on 'not applicable' ('niet van toepassing' in Dutch) but this doesn't seem like a very elegant solution. Does anyone know how to make this more user-friendly? Maybe there is a code I can use?Thanks in advance! Elise

Hi guys,Urgently require assistance. I’ve looked at almost every post relating to this question but nothing seems to be working for me.I have a main survey. Only by answering YES to the 3rd questions can you proceed with the survey (think of it as a selection criteria question). If you answer NO, I want to the survey to end (“you have not met the selection criteria”).  IF Do you currently study psychology? No Is selected        → End of SurveyI’ve tried everything, I’ve used the skip logic, I’ve gone into survey flow and added a then if branch (from which I’ve added a end survey branch and used the customise button to override the default end message - tried the custom end, I’ve also tried creating a new survey so that I can redirect using URL to the other end message). NOTHING. Is. Working. I keep getting directed to my main end message.  Please help me. x.x

I was under the impression that the matrix statements that show as column headers in the exported data (Q21_1, Q21_2, Q21_3, etc) were tied to the statement text, but after a recent export it looks like it’s based on the current order they are listed. I hadn’t expected this, so I used move up/move down in the statements list to re-order the display of statement scales during a live survey a couple of weeks back. Hi everyone,I'm trying to set up scoring for a question that uses Sliders, but when I go to the Scoring Options dropdown, it shows "0 Items." I realized this might be because I left the scoring setting on Auto when setting up the sliders.Does anyone know how I can properly assign or adjust scoring for the sliders in this case? Is there a way to manually set the scoring or ensure that the sliders are recognized for scoring purposes?Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!Thanks!

Hello, I have a slideshow with 5 images that participants click through. After they have clicked through all 5 images, I wantthe Next button to appear (hidden before) a question to get hidden (which was visible as part of the instructions to the slideshow before)I have the following code, that does 1. but not 2. Hi I need a way to combine multiple numeric variables in order to generate a pie chart widget. For instance. I have questions where respondents have entered numeric values. I would like to display a pie chart that shows the weight of the sum of each category. I know that pie chart widgets only take in one variable, but I saw a use case where someone was able to do this so I am wondering how to accomplish this. Do I need to make sort of custom field or custom variable? I am new to Qualtrics and am open to any solution type.

Hello, I’m in the support handbook and it says there should be a button to download all files from the results section (step 5):I however am not seeing this option, only to do individual downloads: Any thoughts on why that is and is there an easier way to download all of the files at once?  For reference this survey isn’t live yet and it is for student scheduling purposes (students are uploading their grad plan and audit).  The upload documents option is a relatively new feature that we had added to our survey software package.Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Does anyone know how to hide the scale labels for a matrix table (without eliminating the choices themselves)? [the goal is to make it appear to the survey respondent like these items are a continuation of the prior question,  which has the same scale, without a break]  

Hi all!I am setting up a MaxDiff study and would like to show tooltips for the different features the respondent gets to see within the MaxDiff. So far I added them using html via this structure:<span title="Translate entire documents and keep the file format and formatting">Document translation</span> This works well on laptop, however it does not work on mobile. I saw some threads discussing responsive tooltips in the community which require adjusting the CSS in the Look & Feel section + the html in the question itself - and the latter unfortunately is not possible as the MaxDiff module is locked and JS cannot be accessed. Does anyone have any advice how to show up tooltips on mobile when using the Qualtrics MaxDiff module? Thank you!

Hi there,I wanted to have labels appear on top of each slider in my Qualtrics survey,  so I wrote some code into javascript. When I preview my question block, everything looks fine. However, when I go to preview my whole survey, the labels repeat a couple of times about slider 2. I cannot locate where the issue is, but I assume it is something in the code I wrote. Is anyone able to help? I have attached a document which includes screenshots of the previews, links to my survey and the javascript code I wrote.

Hi,I have a quick question about the Qualtrics platform. We’ve set up a study with two surveys:Survey 1 collects consent and participant information. Survey 2 contains the actual survey items for the study.Participants are only provided the link to Survey 1. At the end of Survey 1, they are automatically redirected to Survey 2 to complete the measures. In theory, no participant should access Survey 2 directly without first completing Survey 1.However, in our Survey 2 database, we’ve noticed some entries where participants don’t have embedded data from Survey 1, which suggests their consent data wasn’t captured or passed to Survey 2.Could you help us understand why this might be happening and suggest any potential solutions?Thank you!

I have a survey in 2 languages. The base language is English, and I have translated it into Czech. I only want the final version to be in Czech, and I do not want participants to have the option to see the English version. I’d like to know if this is possible (ideally without having to re-write the survey in Czech as base language) and if so, how. In brief, is it possible to only show my survey in my translated language (Czech) to participants, without giving them the option to change the language? How?I’d really appreciate your help!

I have a slider question where I need the numbers from statements 1, 2, and 3 to total 100.IE respondent A count answer 1=50, 2=50, 3=0. respondent B could be 1=20, 2=40, 3=40, etc...I see that I can set min and max per statement, but I need the max to bee for ALL of the statement scores combined.Also how would I do this same thing where they must total 100 on a form field? 

I’m working on uploading state assessment scores to Qualtrics from prior years. There’s about 7 years for the same test with about 3,500 lines for each year.  I’m expecting about 24,500 responses in the imported data file yet it only returns 9,500. I’m using a csv to upload the data, I’m unsure of where to begin troubleshooting.

Hi everyone,My organisation has just launched a large survey and we're attempting to maximise our response rate by using both Email and SMS distributions. This has been easy enough, but I've noticed that the survey link generated in the email distributions are different to those in the SMS. Consequently, users receive two separate surveys.In itself this isn't a huge deal, but it will be a problem when we send out reminders to unfinished respondents. Users that will have completed the email survey will still receive a reminder via SMS, and vice versa for SMS completions.Does anybody have a solution so that one single survey link can be sent/tracked, and we can still send reminders to unfinished respondents? I am trying to avoid manually creating updated distributions through checking who has responded.Current solutions I have considered:Adding a personal survey link as embedded data and using that in email/SMS messages (I don't believe this will let us use reminders, as this is no longe

The validation rule I want is that respondents pass current Rank Order if the options ranked in the last two positions of the current Rank Order question are the same as the options selected in the previous Multiple Choice question (both questions have identical options and corresponding recode values). If this condition is not met, the respondent should see a warning (like a forced response message in red text below the question) when they click next. I have a workflow which imports contacts, with a number of embedded data fields, daily through the Qualtrics File Service. It then uses an XM Directory task to add these contacts to a mailing list, and distribute the survey via email to each contact.This task uses individual links to send the survey. The survey will have some individuals who receive the email, but never complete the survey; in fact, some won’t even start the survey. In this case, for both individuals who have started but not finished the survey, and also for individuals who never even clicked the link in the email, I need a way to view the link that they received (effectively, a way to complete the survey for them). I was wondering if this is possible? Do I somehow have to switch over to using personal links, which isn’t even an option for XM Directory Tasks? or is there some functionality i’m missing. I thought of using Q_URL as an embedded data field, but this would only work for contacts who actually start the surve
