Hello! I am trying to have one of my questions a freeform drag and drop (e.g., participants will move icons on a screen) and I want to save either the final image or the coordinates of the icons. I only want 2 of the items to move (imagine there is a square, and the icon for ‘lunch’ doesn’t move, and you move an icon for ‘breakfast’ and an icon for ‘dinner’. I tried the following code but I cannot seem to make it work. I was hoping that someone could have better insight as to what needs to be corrected. HI AllI am hoping you can help me with this. I am running a project for UNICEF and I need to do the following:CONTEXT: 6 months ago, pregnant mothers visited the hospital and provided their phone number which is a unique ID. So now - I have volunteers that will call pregnant mothers who previously came to the hospital for a follow up about their pregnancy. Step 1: Every time a volunteer starts my survey, the survey has to retrieve one of the mothers’ unique ID aka phone numbers (randomly without replacement) and show it in the survey so that the volunteer can make the call. Step 2: The phone numbers is stored in a Google Drive in Sheets - the survey has to pick mothers who have not yet been called. The status has to change to “In Call” when the volunteer starts call. Otherwise the status is empty.Step 3: After the volunteer speaks the mothers, the volunteer fills out more data in the survey. I am attempting to create two separate end of survey message prompts dependent on eligible and ineligible responses. Participants are directed to their respective End of Survey message depending on eligibility, however, the branching does not do this- it only shows the eligible end of survey response regardless of the branching structure. There are questions throughout the survey that screen out for ineligible responses, so I am trying to 'screen out' those responses on the survey by sending them to a separate 'end of survey' message. When I go through the survey flow, I created a conditional branch to screen out responses, but when I preview it to test the ineligible responses, it still sends it to the 'eligible end of survey message' - How do I fix this? 

Hello,  I use a lot of multiple choice questions that have an other open-ended box that I would like to limit the character count.  This javascript has been working great but does not appear to work in the “new survey experience.” The documentation on “new survey experience” from Qualtrics indicates custom code may not work but does not specify how to adjust it to have it work. I also attempted calling in Jquery in the header with no success. Hi,I have an EX engagement program, and I want to give some users access to the dashboard.I added them as Participants, but that also enables the flag "Respondent".I can't seem to find way to remove that flag and indicate that they are not a respondent, but just a dashboard viewer.Can anyone help me?

Hi,I have a survey with a ‘lab.js’ screen included in it. The results from that screen are extracted and stored in a Qualtrics Embedded data field. When I view the results within Qualtrics I can see that all the ‘lab.js’ data is there but concatenated into a single cell. When it is downloaded some of this data has been truncated. I have tried to reformat this data within Qualtrics using Piped data and Javascript. I think that because it includes numerous quotation marks the Javascript is getting confused and my Javascript variables do not get populated when I try to copy the embedded data into them. I have tested that I am able to display the whole concatenation within an HTML tag on a later question screen, so I know the Piped data is accessing the right field. I am only interested in a few items at the end of the concatenated embedded data that are missing from the truncated downloaded field. Is it possible to increase the size of the downloaded embedded data? If not, is it possible

Hello everyone,I have a question regarding the availability of paradata within a survey.Recently, after finishing a survey, it was found that I was required to make a question non forced for a response. That is, the correct answer was not to select any option from the multi choice. Yes, its ridiculously stupid, I have been beating myself over it :((I was wondering if Qualtrics logs the error message pop ups or the key strokes for each question, for each participant, as paradata per haps? I was not able to find a conclusive answer to this. I have not added any sort of custom code to the survey.If that’s not the case, is there any other way to tackle this problem?Thanks for the support.Best,

Hi everyone,I'm working on a survey and in an answer option I do have a hyperlink. When I hover over the option, I want all the text, including hyperlinks, to change to white. However, I'm having trouble getting the CSS to work correctly.Here's an example of my HTML structure: <b>Option Text <a href="link" target="_blank">htext</a></b><br> <span style="font-size: 11px">additional text</span>.choice.radio:hover a { color: white; /* Ensure link text color also changes to white */ }Due to the trial version, I cannot show the full functionality. When I hover over the option, all the Option Text becomes white, the htext becomes light blue, and the background becomes dark blue.Could anyone help me with the correct CSS to ensure all text, including hyperlinks, changes to white on hover?I've also added a screenshot from the trial login to make more sense to the users.Thanks in advance!

Validation for a Side-By-Side - I have two columns, with options on the left (Col 1), a statement, and then options on the right (Col 2). I want to only allow them to choose one item per row (statement)...so only one in either Col 1 or Col 2. NOTE: I can do it using a lot of custom validation with tons of conditions (I have a LOT of statements), so i’m looking for a more elegant (less tedious) way. I dreamt of using a total count by column - but it isn’t available. I tried scoring, but I can’t do a validation based on the score…Anyone have any ideas? Very open to J/S solutions

Hi Community,We’re stumble upon a weird behavior on Qualtrics and needing your view on thisWe are sending personal survey link that expired in 1 day to customer.  Base language is Vietnamese The Inactive survey message (Show a message to people who visit your survey after it expires or after you’ve made it inactive.) is customized in Vietnamese, English (US), English (UK)When testing, the message only show the default one: “Your survey session has expired and you cannot continue taking the survey.” No matter if the Base Language is Vietnamese or English….Upon further testing, I’ve found out that the above ‘Inactive survey message’ is only work with the Survey Project expire or inactive. The Link expiration date in Distribution tab will trigger the default one.Is there anyway to customize this? This is urgent. We’ll appreciate any idea 🙏🙏🙏

Hello, everyone!I’m struggling to ensure that my videos display well for all participants regardless of the device they are using to complete the survey. I’m talking about smartphones, tablets, and laptops/desktops.I’ve embedded YouTube videos using the HTML code from YouTube.When the HTML code used a height of 315 and a width of 560, the videos were only partially displayed on my smartphone’s screen (Samsung A71).I found a suggestion here https://community.qualtrics.com/custom-code-12/resize-videos-to-fit-screen-24737 to change the width in the HTML code to “100%” and the height to “auto.”After that change, the videos started fitting on my Samsung phone screen, though the useful area of the video, the one with the picture showing information, became a bit smaller.At the same time, the computer version of the video became long and narrow, and the video itself occupies a very small part of the screen while about two-thirds of the area is black space:My question is: Is there any HTML cod

In our dashboard, we want to exclude an answer choice, because that choice means that during the observation that “thing” was not happening. For instance, in an ELAR room, it was not the time of day for fluency instruction, so that was “NP” or “Not Present”, but because the Agency requires us to choose that option the data is skewed. I went into the Dashboard data and chose “exclude from analysis”, unfortunately, that only excludes that option from showing. It doesn’t remove that data from the denominator. Is there a way to exclude the surveys from that widget that chose that answer? In the graphic attached, I excluded NP,  which would make the 35% a 70%.

Hi, I am having a randomization issue and I could use some assistance. Let’s say my survey has two blocks, Block A and Block B. In Block A, I would like to display three images on one page: the first one will be randomly selected from images 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6; the second will be image 7; the third will be image 8. These three images need to be displayed together on the same page (as a text/graphic question) in randomized order.Later, in Block B, I would like to randomly display one image: either image 7, or image 8, or the selected image from set 1-6 that was displayed in Block A.I have been trying to accomplish this using the randomizer in survey flow but I have failed so far. I can get it to do what I need it to do in Block A, but when I get to Block B, it displays an image, but not the correct one. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Hi everyone,I am building a Q methodology survey by using exclusion method. I have 40 statements.  I start with 16 agree/disagree statements out of 40.Then, using choice forward function, 2 statements out of 16, followed by 3 statements out of remaining 14, then 5 statements out of 11. So I don’t have to ask for the last remaining 6. Because participants do not need to select, the last 6 statements are not recorded as you can see in the screenshot.Is there any way, the unselected choices are recorded as response?  ps: I suppose I can make the another questions with the remaining 6 statements  and ask participants to select all. I would have to do it for agree, disagree and neutral and it would be unnecessary and boring for participants. I would rather avoid that if we have a way to get around that.  

I'm experiencing an issue with storing Embedded Data in my Qualtrics survey that uses Google Maps API. In my Contact List, I have two columns: Department and ClassName (i.e. English, Writing 101; English, Creative Writing 101; English, British Literature, etc._. With the SSO Authenticator, I can capture the user’s Department. Can I use loop & merge to show every ClassNames in the block of questions and repeat? In other words, is there a way to populate Field 1 in the Loop & Merge dialog with ClassName from my contact list?the questions in the block, followed by British Literature, etc. until all the rows in the Contact List for English have been exhausted

I need help with setting up a validation check between two questions. Q1 is a multiple choice question with numeric buckets. Q2 is a multiple choice question with a required entry field for which the entered value MUST be within the range selected in Q1. One cannot proceed to the next screen until correcting their response. Hello XM Community!  Can anyone help with duplicated widgets in a recurring email? I have a dashboard page setup with a text box widget and comment ticker widget, which is filtered to show “last week’s customer comments”, and I send this across the business every Monday morning by recurring email.  The email is set up using the Export Dashboard → Email Dashboard feature within the dashboard.  The issue I am facing is the email will show the text box and comment ticker appropriately at the top of the email, along with a link to “view this dashboard” or unsubscribe.  Below this, the text box and comment ticker is duplicated.My goal is for recipients to see the customer comments directly in the email, but not be duplicated.  Does anyone have any insight on how to prevent the widgets from showing twice? Thanks for your help!Here is a screenshot of my settings...
