Survey Platform

I have 3 blocks I want to have randomized so the respondent only receives one of the three blocks. However, I want one block to be displayed 25% of the time, the second block displayed 25% of the time and the third block displayed 50% of the time. How do I do this?

I need to pipe some text from a previous question into an essay text box question input area and am having a hard time getting it to show up. I know the piped text is correct because I have tested it outside of the essay box question in the same section. Are there restrictions on doing this?

Look how awkward this layout is. How can I fix it? Ideally I would have the first question come before the numbers which are right above the slider bar, and then the second question and text box at the bottom. In the survey I am creating, I would like responders to give both quantitative and qualitative feedback on images. I have set it up so that each image is on a difference page ; I want the order of the images to be randomized, but cannot randomize pages within a block and so I set the questions to randomize within the block instead. Because I must do it this way, I must have the picture, slider (quantitative) and text box (qualitative) all in one 'question'. Only issue is that the question now looks VERY awkward. Is there anyway that I can fix the organization of this?

How to pipe in a calculation on the embedded values or Question response?Example:Q#1: Which year did you purchase a car?Answer options: 2005,2006,2007The user chose the answer 2006Now, I want to pipe in the response from Q#1 in another question and subtract a value from that reponse. Hi,I have 2 groups of blocks: a group "A" with 36 blocks from which I randomly choose 10 blocks to present to a participant and other group "B" with 72 blocks from which I also randomly choose 10 blocks to present to a participant. The problem is that when I randomize this 2 groups the platform is presenting to a participant 10 group A blocks together and 10 group B blocks together, although it changes the group order between participants, but I want that the 20 blocks presented to a participant be randomized between groups A and B (for instance: A1, B3, B4, A9, etc.) .Can someone please help me how to do this taking into account that I know nothing about programming and that this is the first Qualtrics survey that I developed? I would really need your very urgent help please.

Hello! I want to build a survey where respondents can make multiple choices which lead to different branches and result in different overall paths. I was wondering if there was an automatic way to count the frequency of each possible path that was taken by the respondents. So, I'm trying to find out the ratio of each overall path which was taken, not just the ratio of each choice. I hope my explanation is understandable. I appreciate any help!  

I need to set up a survey where faculty are submitting information about their various scholarly activities over the last few years. Hello, we are trying to create randomizations without replacement. We have read some other posts but haven't solved our issues. (Our design)We have two pools of 36 graphics respectively, which are medical intake forms of patients. Participants will read at least three forms from the same pool. The drawings are in separate questions about Patient A, B, C, and D. Thus, our randomization of the forms is drawing with replacement, which means participants might see the same form more than once. For example, Patient A and Patient D are both Ada.--We would like to avoid this problem.(Possible Solutions -with concerns)Plan A: We assign an embedded value of each form and put them in separate blocks. I created a survey that starts with asking the respondent to choose an institution form a list, which then triggers other questions with at least one additional list being triggered. At the end the respondent is asked if they have any other institutions to respond for, if they say no the survey ends, if they say yes they are linked back to the beginning. I am trying to figure out how to export this data or create a report that displays the results in a user friendly way. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Nancy  

Is it possible to program math tasks for respondents to solve and then have them advance to some more questions if they get a certain amount of tasks right and have the survey end if they do not make the threshold? Something like: Solve the following tasks 1+1, 2+2, 3+3.Then, if they get 2 right, they advance to another survey and if they only get 1 or less right, the survey ends.

I am showing a video and on later screens we want to give the respondent a change to view the video again. Something like, "Click here to see video again" I am able to to this with images but can't get it to work with video files, anyone have any ideas?

Dear Qualtrics community,in our study we have 15 pictures and 15 questions and we would like to combine them into 15 blocks with one picture and one question each. We would like to randomize them without replacement so that none of the pictures and questions show up more than once for one participant. Furthermore, the combinations of pictures and faces should be randomized for every participant.  Is there a way to randomize them like this or do we have to create every combination (15x15) of a question and a picture separately and randomize them afterwards?Thank you very much in advance for your help!

I have a survey that I would like to distribute among all members of my organisation. My idea is to have people fill in their name at the start of the survey, just so that I can see who did and did not fill in the survey. However, names should not be linked to responses, because the answers itself should remain anonymous. Is there a way to implement this in Qualtrics? Thanks in advance!

Hello guys, I have a doubt about how to program a questionnaire.I am doing a logitudinal research that starts (t0) with a randomized scenario (3 conditions). The data collection will be anonymous via a link on the internet, but we can ask people to leave their emails.I would like to invite people for 2 more data collections (t1 and t2) at a 1 week intervals.In this case, I would like to invite everyone who responded to condition 1 in the randomization of t0, to answer the same condition 1 in t1 and t2.As well as who answered condition 2 in t0, answer condition 2 in t1 and t2. Same in condition 3.In other words, there is a randomization at t0 but at t1 and t2 I would like to invite people, through qualtrics, to follow the condition answered at t0 and at defined intervals, every 1 week (automatically).Is it possible to program this in qualtrics? Hello!I am looking for some guidance regarding a survey I am working on. I want to ask a series of six questions once to every respondent. However, I want half of the Rs to get the question at the start of the survey, and the other half to get it at the end. Random assignment of where you receive the question block is preferred. I've been messing with branching and randomization for a while now and I think it's clear I need some guidance. I was unsuccessful searching for this information, but if it exists and I simply could not find it please let me know and I can delete this request.Any help appreciated!

I'm working on a Qualtrics survey with a landing page for my research and am having trouble obtaining the output data for the reference surveys. This was surprising to me because before I changed the reference surveys used by my landing page, I could see the responses to the reference surveys within the data set. Do you have any advice as to how I could troubleshoot this issue? Hi,I am wanting to send a batch-summary of survey responses which meet certain criteria to myself/others in my workplace. At the moment, I have an event-based action and task set up which sends an email to myself immediately after a survey response is recorded (so long as that response meets the criteria). It would be preferable to get these batched-up to send to myself or others once a week so no emails gets lost during the week through general workloads (ie if we can expect the summary responses to come in on certain day/time, it keeps things more manageable).I guess what I am really wanting is a blend of the capabilities in events-based and schedule-based email tasks. I started to look at how a schedule-based email would be formatted in the Messages Library to meet this requirement, but I think I'm on the wrong path. Would there be a workaround in using shareable, scheduled results-reports and making sure filters are enabled to meet survey response criteria?Hope

Hello,Apologies if this has been asked before, I wasn't sure exactly what to search for to find the answer.I have a survey design where participants are randomly assigned to one of 3 conditions, which I have set using embedded data. Then, they will view 4 different videos of two people labelling an object. For each video, either Person A speaks first, or Person B speaks first. So, I actually have a total of 8 videos; two for each object, one where Person A speaks first, and one where Person B speaks first. Right now, each of the 8 videos + associated follow up questions is in it's own block (so Block 1 = Object X, Person A speaks first, Block 2 = Object X, Person B speaks first, Block 3 = Object Y, Person A speaks first, Block 4 = Object Y, Person B speaks first etc etc for 4 objects).I would like to set up the survey flow such that each participant always see two videos of Person A speaking first, and two videos of Person B speaking first. So most of my questions are along the lines of "how long did you spend..." or "how long did it take..."I'm not really interested in dates. I want answers in formats like "4 months" or "1 year, 3 months, 2 days".Right now I'm using the old Qualtrics editor so I can use the "form" Text Entry type question and I have four boxes labeled "years", "months", "weeks", "days". But I would rather drop-down boxes much like the Calendar-Date questions I can import from the Questions Library in the Demographics folder. I have one question where I ask participants to enter a "start" and "end date" but that's not really ideal. And the text box entry also leaves more room for data input error. The date drop downs work but I don't want people to level the survey if they don't know exactly what date. I would just rather they could say "5 months".Would there be any way to edit the current options in the Demographics library or create a sort of scroll or drop down with just number

Hello!I wanted to know, if it's possible to make 3 different surveys, that are available at the same URL address. I want people to randomly get assigned to one of this surveys, without any conditions. Or - is it possible to make 3 blocks of questions, that will randomly appear to a person? For example - Person 1 enters my URL address leading to survey and gets Block 1 of questions, then a few minutes later Person 2 enters my URL address leading to the same survey, and gets Block 2 of questions.I hope I've made this clear, but I know that it's a little bit confusing (especially with my not so good English :( ) Thank you for any responses!

I would like to change my background based on an Embedded Data.If the responder has as embded data Product=moto the background will be a motorcycle and if the responder has as embded data Product=bike the background will be a bike.Can you guide me or tell me if there is a possibility to do this or if some of them managed to do it.Thanks

I am trying to set up a branch logic that redirects participants who fail 2 out of the 3 attention checks in our survey. Each attention check question is in a matrix table. The branch logic is set up below all three attention checks. I have a feeling the logic is not triggering because I do not have the and/or statements set up correctly... I attached a screenshot of the branch logic below. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
