Survey Platform

Dear Qualtrics community,in our study we have 15 pictures and 15 questions and we would like to combine them into 15 blocks with one picture and one question each. We would like to randomize them without replacement so that none of the pictures and questions show up more than once for one participant. Furthermore, the combinations of pictures and faces should be randomized for every participant.  Is there a way to randomize them like this or do we have to create every combination (15x15) of a question and a picture separately and randomize them afterwards?Thank you very much in advance for your help!

I have a survey that I would like to distribute among all members of my organisation. My idea is to have people fill in their name at the start of the survey, just so that I can see who did and did not fill in the survey. However, names should not be linked to responses, because the answers itself should remain anonymous. Is there a way to implement this in Qualtrics? Thanks in advance!

Hello guys, I have a doubt about how to program a questionnaire.I am doing a logitudinal research that starts (t0) with a randomized scenario (3 conditions). The data collection will be anonymous via a link on the internet, but we can ask people to leave their emails.I would like to invite people for 2 more data collections (t1 and t2) at a 1 week intervals. In this case, I would like to invite everyone who responded to condition 1 in the randomization of t0, to answer the same condition 1 in t1 and t2.As well as who answered condition 2 in t0, answer condition 2 in t1 and t2. Same in condition 3.In other words, there is a randomization at t0 but at t1 and t2 I would like to invite people, through qualtrics, to follow the condition answered at t0 and at defined intervals, every 1 week (automatically). Is it possible to program this in qualtrics? Do I need to create 3 new questionnaires for each of the three scenarios for the following times (t1 and t2)? Can I schedule automatic sending

Hello!I am looking for some guidance regarding a survey I am working on. I want to ask a series of six questions once to every respondent. However, I want half of the Rs to get the question at the start of the survey, and the other half to get it at the end. Random assignment of where you receive the question block is preferred. I've been messing with branching and randomization for a while now and I think it's clear I need some guidance. I was unsuccessful searching for this information, but if it exists and I simply could not find it please let me know and I can delete this request.Any help appreciated!

Hello all,I would like to export the survey metadata including the variable names, variable labels, response options, value labels, etc. which could be provided by getting the codebook maybe?I have no idea.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm working on a Qualtrics survey with a landing page for my research and am having trouble obtaining the output data for the reference surveys. This was surprising to me because before I changed the reference surveys used by my landing page, I could see the responses to the reference surveys within the data set. Do you have any advice as to how I could troubleshoot this issue? The question labels are appearing but no actual data is apparentThank you for your help and please feel free to inquire if I have not given you enough information for you to get a sense of what is going on.

Hi,I am wanting to send a batch-summary of survey responses which meet certain criteria to myself/others in my workplace. At the moment, I have an event-based action and task set up which sends an email to myself immediately after a survey response is recorded (so long as that response meets the criteria). It would be preferable to get these batched-up to send to myself or others once a week so no emails gets lost during the week through general workloads (ie if we can expect the summary responses to come in on certain day/time, it keeps things more manageable).I guess what I am really wanting is a blend of the capabilities in events-based and schedule-based email tasks. I started to look at how a schedule-based email would be formatted in the Messages Library to meet this requirement, but I think I'm on the wrong path. Would there be a workaround in using shareable, scheduled results-reports and making sure filters are enabled to meet survey response criteria?Hope this makes sense! Th

Hello,Apologies if this has been asked before, I wasn't sure exactly what to search for to find the answer.I have a survey design where participants are randomly assigned to one of 3 conditions, which I have set using embedded data. Then, they will view 4 different videos of two people labelling an object. For each video, either Person A speaks first, or Person B speaks first. So, I actually have a total of 8 videos; two for each object, one where Person A speaks first, and one where Person B speaks first. Right now, each of the 8 videos + associated follow up questions is in it's own block (so Block 1 = Object X, Person A speaks first, Block 2 = Object X, Person B speaks first, Block 3 = Object Y, Person A speaks first, Block 4 = Object Y, Person B speaks first etc etc for 4 objects).I would like to set up the survey flow such that each participant always see two videos of Person A speaking first, and two videos of Person B speaking first. It doesn't matter which of the 4 objects has

So most of my questions are along the lines of "how long did you spend..." or "how long did it take..."I'm not really interested in dates. I want answers in formats like "4 months" or "1 year, 3 months, 2 days".Right now I'm using the old Qualtrics editor so I can use the "form" Text Entry type question and I have four boxes labeled "years", "months", "weeks", "days". But I would rather drop-down boxes much like the Calendar-Date questions I can import from the Questions Library in the Demographics folder. I have one question where I ask participants to enter a "start" and "end date" but that's not really ideal. And the text box entry also leaves more room for data input error. The date drop downs work but I don't want people to level the survey if they don't know exactly what date. I would just rather they could say "5 months".Would there be any way to edit the current options in the Demographics library or create a sort of scroll or drop down with just numbers beside or under the wor

Hello!I wanted to know, if it's possible to make 3 different surveys, that are available at the same URL address. I want people to randomly get assigned to one of this surveys, without any conditions. Or - is it possible to make 3 blocks of questions, that will randomly appear to a person? For example - Person 1 enters my URL address leading to survey and gets Block 1 of questions, then a few minutes later Person 2 enters my URL address leading to the same survey, and gets Block 2 of questions.I hope I've made this clear, but I know that it's a little bit confusing (especially with my not so good English :( ) Thank you for any responses!

I would like to change my background based on an Embedded Data.If the responder has as embded data Product=moto the background will be a motorcycle and if the responder has as embded data Product=bike the background will be a bike. Can you guide me or tell me if there is a possibility to do this or if some of them managed to do it.Thanks

I am trying to set up a branch logic that redirects participants who fail 2 out of the 3 attention checks in our survey. Each attention check question is in a matrix table. The branch logic is set up below all three attention checks. I have a feeling the logic is not triggering because I do not have the and/or statements set up correctly... I attached a screenshot of the branch logic below. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am working on a metrics survey that spans multiple areas within an organization. The survey has 7 blocks with 7 individuals responsible for each of the 7 blocks within every participating company. How do I go about enabling this? Is there a way to use the save and continue option as well, so any new data does not erase what is already filled in?

Hi I want to explore Branch option for my experiment but I can't see it. Can anyone help me with setting this up?

HiI am trying to create a survey for students to select a time & date to come in to my office and pick up their diplomas. I would like to know if it is possible to set a limit for each time slots. for example, only 5 respondents can choose 5/25/21 from 12:30-1:00.

Hi,How can i get information about access code for upgrade my plan? Should i learn it from my university or may i learn from here whether there is an agreement or not?

I'm getting the following error message when a user selects no options in a Multiple Choice question that allows for multiple answers.I set a rule of 0 to 2 allowed choices, but the survey throws this error when no answer choices are selected:It's kind of a weird error message, and also shouldn't be appearing in the first place since I have 0 as the minimum.

Hello! I was wondering if it's possible to create an Interview Form in the system that will be accessed by HR. HR will be interviewing multiple employees via phone and recording their answers in the form. It would be the same 5 HR employees filling in this information. We wanted a way to record employee answers in the system. Thanks for the help!Vanna

Hi all, I'm relatively new to using Qualtrics so this might be a bit of a newbie question. I need to create two surveys, where Survey A is multiple choice and Survey B is a MaxDiff. I also have a contact list (ContactListA) that has embedded respondent data (eg. first name, last name, location and job title). The embedded data is purely for analysis purposes, and is not intended to be verified by the respondent - aka it's just sitting in the background of each respondent's answers. Currently, for Survey A, the embedded data is linked to the respondent via distributions --> Emails --> ContactListA. Now, I need Survey A to immediately direct the respondent to Survey B upon completion, and I need the embedded data from Survey A to be imported to Survey B for each respondent. Is there an easy way to do this that results in a seamless experience for the respondent? Many thanks,

Hello,Could it be possible to customize the look and feel, design of response summary that is sent via email which also can be saved as PDF?ThanksSandhya M

I'm super happy with the option to present only a certain number of questions in a block, it is exactly what I need. However, because the page breaks are then removed, it looks to my respondents as if the audio player for the following question belongs to the question above. This could be solved if I could move the audio player down, to between the question and the answer matrix, but I can't. Failing that I'd like to add a stripe or something between the questions, to mark them as separate, but I can't do that, either. Any ideas?

Hello :-)I am using qualtrics for the first time and I would like to delete some of the answers on my survey completely. The reason why I want to delete them is because I only need 140 participants, but now i have about 180... I tired to delete them in the "data and analysis" section and it did delete the answers but it always left an empty row behind. ALSO it does not delete the answers in the report section.in the picture below you can see the empty row that left behind when trying to delete something:I would be very happy if someone has a solution for my problem!Thank you in advance!kind regards,Laura

My survey instrument includes three randomized blocks of questions. Participants complete the survey three times over two years, and a different block each time. How do I set up the survey so that individuals get a different block each time they click the survey link and can only complete the survey a total of three times? It is important for the blocks to remain random so that I get an even spread of completed blocks over each time interval.

How can I override the default message "Your session has expired and your response, if any, has been recorded" with a custom one, for example, "Your session has expired, reload the form"

I have a few results reports we reference. Anytime I add new questions or embedded data to my survey those items automatically start showing up in my results reports on the left hand side of the results and I have to go in to each one and manually uncheck them. Is there a setting to prevent this?
