Survey Platform

I am using the scoring function in one of my surveys. I am then sending an email showing the scores for various categories and the survey responses. Most of the scoring categories are either a sum of the individual question scores (Score) or an average of the individual question scores (Weighted Mean). These are all working fine. However, one of my scores requires a more complex mathematical equation. I have used the Math Operations support page to create the mathematical equation. The formula is working and shows the correct score. However, if a respondent does not complete the questions related to that category, the score is showing up at -16.6666667, rather than appearing as 0 or empty. Is there a way to stop this from happening?

I login through a university website that has two-stage authentication. There are two things that bug me:1) If Qualtrics times out due to inactivity it returns to the login screen. I try to log in and I get an error and then redirected to some university home page where I cannot log in. I have to close the window and start over. Either admit that the connection is terminated or make a functional login page.2) If I want to go from my home page to a community page there is no link that I can find. I have to open a new window and login again.

I have 280 stimuli in a text form. I would like to present each of my participants with one of these 280 stimuli. I also want them to be randomised so that each participant sees a different text stimuli. I know I could create 280 text questions within one block and use the randomization option, but I am wondering whether there is any easier way to do it? So I do not have to copy-paste 280 text fields. I would be grateful for any tips.

I would like some words in my matrix table statements accentuated in bold. I noticed the Rich text options apply to the question, not the table. How do I do this?thanks!

The tutorial on the Library page saysThere are four libraries within the Library page: Survey Library, Graphics Library, Files Library, Messages Library. But the Files Library does not appear on my page.

My survey question uses a constant sum question type (where I want to find how many people employed fall under specific ethnic categories). However, I want a custom validation built in where when respondents answer this question, the total corresponds/matches the total in the previous question which asks how many people are employed.I

I would like to add an explanation and a figure to a questionbox. It is a bit long so I'd like to add a page break between the explanation and the actual question. How can I add page break in that question box? I can only see how to insert page breaks between questions.thanks!

I need to introduce twelve branches and show each respondent just one of the branches.I need to control the number of male and famale for each branch. 30 male and 30 famale per branch, so it gives 720 responses at all. I know that I need to use quota, but I don't know how to made it. Please help 🙏Here it is my survey flow look

Hello! I want to include a randomization in my survey that randomly shows one of four blocks to participants. In doing so, I aim to generate evenly distributed quotas for the resulting 4 subgroups. Randomization only won't lead to a rather equal distribution for quotas (age, gender, education), will it?Or is there a way to run the survey and to create a solution with e.g., 4 quota checks in one survey? Something like: qualtrics checks quotas for subgroup A, and quotas are already met and then it checks if there is a person with these traits needed to fill the quotas in subgroup B to D.Thank you!

Hello, We are wanting to research how to optimize the layout of our website by doing a card-sort or similar design. We want to let respondents make their own categories (open card sort), like you can do in optimalworkshop.com. Has anyone done this or a similar project in Qualtrics before?

Hello everyone, I know this is subjective, but would like your thoughts on this question? Feel free to PM me if you wish to remain anonymous. Reason for asking, is simply to help companies distinguish the difference between customer experience professionals who leverage and build programs using tools such as Qualtrics vs Customer Success and Support who are often front line, Operational data focused and rely on resolving issues in real time with the customer. From my perspective these are distinctly two different fields, however I am aware that at some organizations there may be an overlap here.It would be great to have more information so one can imagine career paths and growth opportunities within this space. I hope this is a valid XM topic.Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hey Friends,My team relies on data visualization/charts to constantly customize the visual impact of survey analysis results? This gets super time-consuming!For our recent survey, we select the Likert chart from the data visualization tool (image attached). No doubt it's safe with a lot of time and resources.Your suggestions required is this visualization fulfill the purpose to present the survey result or you will suggest some other visual or tools. Thanks In Advance

Voice data (.mp4) format can be saved through surveys in Qualtrics, and I was wondering if we can do anything about it?Are there transcribing facilities available that can transcribe the audio, save the resulting text, and then run Text IQ on it. Multilanguage transcribing facility is the next question. Thanks

Hi,I have survey that used a force choice comparison of a series of paired photographs. In the survey responses, the respondents' answer is provided as a unqiue reference value that refers to each photograph. An example of one of these references looks like this - IM_87VtLDvwo06dYO2Unfortunately I can't tell which reference refers to which photo though. Is there a way to identify the photos by their reference?Thank you!

Hello everyone. I am new to Qualtrics Community and would like to ask if someone knows how to help me with this? I would like to add different links to the current survey. The way around this is to finish the survey with a link that redirects to a separate survey.Example instructions for the survey question.1. If respondents click YES (straight to the next link & finish the survey). The idea of respondents doesn't have to go to the next question to click the link.2. If respondents click NO (straight to the end of the survey).

I have a question in which the participant will be asked to write the name of an organization they are part of. Now in the next question I want that whatever name the participant writes is used in the following statement. Is there a way this can work?

I use a survey as an application for three different programs throughout the year. They are all the same survey, just copied for the different terms three times a year. Every time I copy, the survey stays the same and all the actions are copied over. However, in Data and Analysis under Data, the layout for the columns is never copied over. This means I have to manually rearrange the data columns three times a year (data must be in a specific order because it is uploaded into a file parser). I have tried to save layouts in one survey hoping it would then be available in another, but they never are. I've checked the walkthroughs and tried looking in the library, but I can't find anything the says there is a way to copy or save layouts between surveys. I haven't found anything that says you can't do this explicitly, but that seems to be the case. Is there a way to save, copy, or transfer data column layouts between surveys that anyone has found? I would loooooooove this feature if it does

Hello people,I have just started using the Qualtrics survey platform and I have the below situation.Description:I have a timed ranking survey with 10 questions, each with it's own block and each block includes in addition a timer to countdown from 30 seconds. Each question has 5 answers that I need respondents to rank using drag and drop. After the time reaches to 0, the survey auto advances to the next question, until the end message. Each question is forced, so respondents can't leave them unanswered. There are no validations configured.Present state:In this current configuration the survey's behavior is to repeat the same question indefinitely with a new 30 seconds timer, if there is no ranking action performed by the respondent, until at least 1 answer is ranked.Desired state:I would like to achieve the following survey behavior:IF the respondent touches the question box (hover over with the mouse or touch the phone screen) AND doesn't rank any answer in a question AND the timer fi

Hi, I am currently creating a survey wherein I have to ask questions in a matrix format giving respondents a multi-select option within that grid. The options will be a combination of choices selected by the respondent in the previous 3 questions, e.g. 'Q10 Options selected by respondent x Q11 Options selected by respondent x Q12 Options selected by respondent' will be one of the combinations of that question. Qualtrics offers a Display-logic function but since I am getting more than 1000 (10 responses for Q10 x 10 responses for Q11 x 10 responses for Q12) such combinations, I would have to manually code it for every combinationIs there a way to automate the display logic so that it applies to all the 1000 combinations at once?Below is what I am looking to achieve for all the combinations

I've been asked to "turn on comments" in a survey to allow comments without direct editing for a survey that is not finished yet. I can't find this feature, and only see the direct addition of collaborators who can edit.

I am essentially using Qualtrics to extract statistics from research articles. There is no known maximum amount of statistics that will need to be extracted so what I need is for Qualtrics to generate a new question each time the previous question is answered (with an unknown ceiling). For Example:A research study that reports the percentage of people's favourite colour. I do not have any set amount of colours, so I need Qualtrics to automatically create a new question each time the previous one is answered:First set of questions:What is the colour? What is the percent?Next set of questions (automatically generated):What is the colour? What is the percent?...Final set of questions (automatically generated):What is the colour? What is the percent? What is my best way to approach this?

Have 12 blocks and a fixed taskStep-1: Display any 3 blocks randomly out of 12 blocks,Step-2: then do the fixed taskStep-3: Display 3 blocks from remaining 9 blocksRepeat the process from Step-1 for another participants. How to make sure to display all blocks evenly among 200 participants? Thanks in advance.Wuaham

I’m working on setting up the loop and merge and having a logic issue that I haven’t been able to solve and googling didn’t help either. I’ve set up a separate block for the questions that will loop - when I click the block, go into Loop and Merge and select the question that I want to initiate the loop, the answer choices don’t appear and the system says invalid logic - I cannot for the life of me figuring out why. I’ve tried other questions too, and same issue. Any ideas?

HelloI have a question that I need to have a yes or no option to select and if yes is selected a text entry box is available next to it for someone to enter in the information.Example:Do you have a dog? If yes, enter breed type.Yes - [open text field]No

Hi, I em encountring an issue with the multiple choice option. I have a question where users can choose multiple choices. From those multiple choices they have further options to choose from. Now the issue is that it works partially for some options and not for the others. I have attched screen shots. I am not sure what the issue is. In image one the user can select multiple answers. Which then takes them to a the category and its sublist. E.g when the user selects writer and crafter then the option with writer and crafter shows on the next screen with sub-categories. Now in the writer section the user can choose multiple choices but when it comes to the crafter part it only allows one option even though I have enabled the multiple choice option. This problem is only for the last three options (crafter, performer/musician and actor/director). I dont know what the issue is as I have the same settings and logics for all of them. Can someone please help? Thanks.
